We stayed a week at this condo and we had a great time. We were a little worried when we first arrived that there was no air conditioning (unusually warm for October) but once we opened up ALL the windows we were able to relax and sleep comfortably. The cross breeze we got from the windows was delicious.
We did see some MINOR fix issues that we wanted to make sure that we would not be responsible for and emailed the owner with pictures. She responded right away and even though it was not necessary, she got the issues fixed right away.
If we have to complain about something, I would say that the bathroom could use a little more ventilation. It has a fan but after a shower, we had to make sure to leave the door open to try and cool the bathroom. Also, we thought that there was a beach (with sand). The beach steps drop down into a rocky area where you can get into the water. Although we did see the turtle swimming.
If you are visiting, you HAVE to be in the room at sunset. There is a gentleman who blows a conch shell in the condo complex, speaks Hawaiian and gives a positive message. In no way is this loud or annoying. This really added to our experience of Hawaii.
After a couple of days in the condo complex we felt safe enough to leave the door open (when we were in the condo). I know that this is probably not suggested by the condo owner, but the complex just felt safe and the area felt safe.
We will DEFINITELY be requesting to stay at this condo again.

Our first time in Maui & this condo gave us an ultimate experience. The condo was very clean & prestine. The view out on the lanai was breathtaking & made it for a wonderful stay. I would recommend this condo to anyone who wants to have an awesome experience in Maui, the island of love. Next time we're back in Maui, we will definitely request this condo again.

A great place to stay for most people. Kristin’s communication was prompt, her unit clean, comfy, and well-equipped! We would likely not stay again for 3 reasons: the building next door seems to have established a smoke pit directly downwind from the unit (smoke and loud voices at all hours) AND the property itself was quite loud with many groups of visitors bending rules AND pool hours are from 9am-10pm (we often wanted to swim before 9am). Overall, place was good and we snorkelled right off the front wall.

We wish we could have stayed longer in this VRBO. We were concerned about not having air conditioning, but there were so many fans that we never worried about it! The views are amazing, and Kristin was amazingly helpful and easy to work with. When we went, there wasn't a beach available in front of the condo, but the pool was a wonderful place to cool off, and we were able to walk to a nearby beach park that Kristin recommended. This place is about a 10-15 minute drive to the heart of Lahaina, and we loved the close proximity. We would absolutely stay at Kristin's place again if we find ourselves back in Hawaii!

This place was amazing, my only regret is that we didn't have time to use the beautiful pool! It was helpful that the place had some beach chairs and an umbrella for us to use. It was easy to get to and close to most of the things we wanted to do. Her guide that she wrote up was detailed and useful and much appreciated! I would absolutely stay here again when I come to back to Maui!!

Perfect little place for our first trip to Maui. The location was very walkable to food and snorkel rentals, and the parking lot had plenty of available parking. The unit was clean and the kitchen had most of the basics we needed to make a few meals ourselves. The patio overlooking the pool was lovely, and the ability to walk down to the water and see the turtles was daily fun. Also enjoyed being able to snorkel around the reef right there at the property. The "welcome" documents the owner provided were also very helpful in finding some touristy ideas for our first visit to the island.
The lack of A/C wasn't a big issue for a June visit (though I'd personally struggle a bit in July/August, I think).
Highly enjoyed this unit, and would gladly return.

Kristin's condo is beautiful and the views are to die for. The decor is lovely and modern. We enjoyed listening to the waves falling asleep in the very comfortable bed! The condo has everything you could need for a great time at the beach or just relaxing. We will be back!

The condo was everything we hoped for and more. It had all the amenities and convivences of home. Being able to cook from the condo was wonderful as it saved us some money as we didn't have to eat out 3 times a day . Everything was close by and we enjoyed beautiful morning walks on the beach and enjoyed the lovely pool when we felt like just relaxing. We look forward to staying at your lovely place again-soon. I had the best time staying here and could not have asked for anything more! The property was even prettier than the pictures! The ocean views are breathtaking! We had to fly to Maui a day earlier than expected due to a blizzard coming in. Booking with Kristin was so easy! It took all the added stress off our shoulders! She also sent us a very detailed email about how to run EVERYTHING in the condo and things to do while on Maui! It was amazing!! The condo is beautiful, clean and welcoming! The view from the lanai is stunning! We will be back!!

We had a wonderful week at this Hale Ono Loa vacatoion rental. Everything and more that we needed was provided for preparing meals. Comfortable bed and nice fluffy towels. Wish there would have been two chaise lounges on the patio instead of just one that we took turns enjoying! If we are luciy enough to return to Maui and this condo has an opening we will be booking again! Kristin was wonderful and truly wants her guests to have a wonderful stay.

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights. Kristin is extremely responsive and the check in/out was seamless and straightforward.
The condo has a great view of the ocean a spent hours watching whales and turtles right from the deck, so bring some binoculars. The location is perfect and, far enough away from the resorts to get some peace while still being able to enjoy their amenities. A short drive from some amazing beaches coastlines and mountain hikes.
The interior is very nice and open. The kitchen was recently remodeled and looks great. There are enough cooking supplies and spices and a grill to make some great meals.
When I come back to Maui, this is where I plan to stay if available.

No shade anywhere on the property, screen door was torn, had to buy ant traps for kitchen counter, place didn’t appear to be properly dusted, blood stain on comforter, living room rug is old -worn out & stained with some type of food, the sliding screen to the balcony was hard to open and close. The pictures of this property were deceiving.

This was a great little getaway for my husband and I. The bed was the most comfortable that we had on our trip. Would love to see another key to access property so wouldn’t need to be connected to just one key. Great views and walking distance to many ammenities!

On Dec 30th I decided to go to Maui for the new year eve and somehow managed to find this gem for exactly my dates on vrbo. Despite vrbo's warning that the owner has 24hrs to respond, Kristin got back pretty promptly; she remained prompt and warm in her latter responses. The property is very nice, and the photos in the listing are all accurate. Honokowai is quaint as ever. My stay was memorable, which only exacerbated my guilty conscience that I was off on this trip while the rest of my family was on a different travel.

This was an amazing vacation. Not just the fact that Maui is so amazing but the Condo. It was located in an awesome area close to all the good stuff. The Condo itself was amazing inside, worked perfectly with the kitchen and the convenience of everything it is supplied with. The views are absolutely stunning. OMG those sunsets. I don't know if it is an all time thing or just happened to be for our stay. There was a room where a couple put out the Hawaiian flag every night at sunset and blew the Conch shell and then said what we assumed to be a prayer. Everybody was out on there Lanai and clapped every night after they did this ritual. I am so looking forward to next years trip. This will be an annual thing for us for sure. Mahalo!!!

Great location! I loved being able to go out on the ocean facing sun deck and see the turtles swimming right there! Very close to lots of activities in downtown Lahaina.

Kristin was excellent with her communication, she was clear on expectations and gave some great tips. The condo was as described and well equipped. We appreciated the use of the beach chairs, umbrella and towels.
One thing that wasn’t great was the complex next door has a smoke pit and the people were out every night being very loud and the smoke was wafting up which wasn’t pleasant but obviously this is out of owners control.

A friend of mine and I decided to spontaneously go somewhere, and we chose Maui. First time, and I promise, it didn’t disappoint. Knowing this was quite last minute, my expectations on finding a nice peppery weren’t all that high. The views - incredible. The neighbors - incredible. Coffee on the lanai - incredible. The ambiance - incredible. I even slept on the couch, and couldn’t be more comfortable.
Communicating/booking with Kristin couldn’t have been more seamless and I can’t thank her enough for the awesome packet of recommendations, which legit made us feel like we knew exactly where to go, and when. The surrounding area/things to do - can’t be beat.
If you’re contemplating whether or not to do it. Stop. Book immediately!!!

We had another unit at Papakea resort reserved and 4 weeks ago through My Perfect Stay (VRBO) cancelled our reservation right when our last payment was due. We were able to find this unit and were very happy with it. We saved paying a resort fee that would have been charged and this unit and pool and the grounds were very nice. The manager was so nice we never needed anything but I know if we did he would help. Thank you for letting us rent your unit.

My girlfriend and I, both 30 years old, stayed here for a week and loved every bit of the property. The room was clean and had everything you needed. A big tv and kitchen if you need to escape the sun for a bit and eat in. Walking out to the pool there is a big sun deck with a beautiful view of the ocean. Steps that go down to the water and a shallow part that allows for some snorkeling. Also snorkeling equipment and beach gear provided in the closet!
10/10 would definitely stay here again. The host was very responsive and had a wonderful welcome packet with everything you need to know when visiting Maui. Definitely consider this property when looking for a place to stay around north Maui

The people who stayed at this location are so nice. My husband and I had many individuals be so kind around us in the complex. You get the opportunity to walk to an amazing view that's not far from the room. You also see part of the nice view, the ocean, through the room. The couches are a bit old and the owner is really sweet. I feel like some words exchanged caused a misunderstanding and complicated a conversation. Nothing serious just incorrect diction. She didn't respond as soon as I thought she would when someone sends their first message to a host. Overall, good stay.

The photos are completely accurate! This place is a little slice of paradise, from the magnificent lanai view to the cozy and comfy interior. Spacious pool and viewing deck, 4 minute walk to store and cute beachside park, 5 minute or less drive to Kaanapali, too. Very easy access to laundry room! The only minor issue was trying to push down the button in the lockbox to release the house key,, but you only have to do that once.. Would definitely stay here again.
