Our stay at Kuleana Resort was truly wonderful and exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed the beautiful pool and the well-kept BBQ area, which became a special gathering place each evening as guests came together to watch the sunset. There was such a warm, welcoming community feel—some evenings even included live music from fellow guests, which made the experience feel incredibly unique and memorable.We loved the easy access to the beach and the fantastic snorkeling right onsite. Seeing so many sea turtles along the shoreline was unforgettable, and being able to whale watch directly from our lanai—watching humpback whales breaching in the distance—was simply magical.The resort is perfectly located for exploring the island, making day trips convenient and stress-free. We had an amazing stay! Despite the weather, high winds, power outage, we were very comfortable in our home away from home here in Kerry and Lynne’s condo. It was very clean and comfortable for us and our two young kids. They made sure we had everything we needed. We saw whales, turtles and even rays from the lanai. There was plenty of green grassy area in front of the unit for our boys to play and it felt very private. The neighbors were all extremely nice and kind too! I would highly recommend the Kuleana and this unit. Thank you!!

Location was directly on Ocean with great views. Turtles could be seen in Ocean and on Small beach in front of the resort. We saw several whales from the patio during our stay. The condo is in great condition. It was so relaxing to sit on the Lanai and watch turtles and whales (bring your binoculars! ) and listen to the ocean. The grounds are beautiful on the ocean-facing side of the property. There were plenty of beach chairs, beach towels, and even a couple of boogie boards. The kitchen was well-equipped basic dishes and cookware in great condition. The condo was clean, and the a/c was running when we arrived on a very warm day. The furniture is comfortable.We received our check-in instructions a few days ahead. Questions were answered promptly and politely. Check-out requirements were very easy.Things you should know before you go:The condo is steps from the ocean, but it's not a wide sandy beach. It's rocky, and the sand comes and goes with the waves. Some pictures show a small beach you can step down to. When we were there in February 2026, there was a short but steep climb down to sand when we arrived. By the time we left there was no sand at all as a stormy ocean had carried it away. There are lovely sandy beaches a short drive away. The parking spaces are *very* small, and we had rented a large-ish vehicle. There was always parking available, but it was often difficult to maneuver into. All in all, we had a lovely stay even during a big storm, and we look forward to returning. We would totally stay in the same condo.

The host was very pleasant and responsive. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The view of the ocean and pool was wonderful and we were able to see many whales from the balcony. The pool is nice and there is a small rocky beach that you can sit on during low tide. We actually 3 turtles come up on the beach while we were sitting. It was a very nice place.

This condo is as good as the photos. The views are incredible.Saw whales spouting out in the strait and sea turtles every day at waters edge. The beaches at either end of the property are pretty much gone . So we had to travel to beaches to swim. Otherwise a relaxing stay..

Condo was clean, well-equipped and in a good location. We were able to see whales breach right off of our balcony! It was also fun to walk down to the private beach to see the giant sea turtles rest on the sand while taking in the sunset views. I highly recommend Meriman’s for dinner. It’s only a few minutes away from the condo. There is also a beach by the restaurant that has wonderful snorkeling. We appreciated the cooler and the beach chairs that owner has in condo for use. Great place! We would definitely stay there again.

This condo turned out to be exactly what we were expecting and the view was amazing. Because of the timing (early Jan), it was near high tide each dawn and there were turtles eating algae on the rocks righ off our lanai every morning. We enjoyed whale sightings every lunch and dinner. We didn't miss the A/C and spent nearly all our time on the lanai, which was perfect. The hosts had excellent communication and were easy to work with. It was just a fantastic stay for us.

Our host was very good to deal with and super accommodating with late checkout. The condo was just as advertised, with awesome ocean views off large balcony. We spent 10 days in Maui and looked forward to getting back to the apartment after each long day of doing touristy stuff. The location of this accommodation is 5*. The small beach on site was a wonderful spot to watch the sunset, and sitting there observing the turtles was truly special. It’s close enough to shops and amenities to be convenient, yet far enough away from the busier hotel beachfront areas to feel peaceful and secluded.The accommodation itself felt a little dated, though it was functional. The bathroom had useful storage, but the shower height was very low and not adjustable. Neither of us are particularly tall, yet we both had to squat to use it, which was inconvenient.The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, and the inclusion of extra food storage containers was particularly useful.Although we didn’t use them, having snorkelling equipment and beach chairs available would be very helpful for guests planning to spend time by the water.Overall, I would recommend this property primarily for its excellent location. Just be aware that you are paying a premium for the setting rather than for a high-end finish or modern accommodation

The host welcomed us very well, the local wine was waiting for us as soon as we entered and Christmas decorations.The place is very special with ocean front where you can relax with the cup of coffee in the morning and watch the turtles and whales passing by. In the evening you enjoy the beautiful sunset when you grill. The location is perfect, between the best snorkeling at the black rock beach and Napillli Bay beach.The condo is a walking distance to several small shopping centers.I would highly recommend this amazing ocean front property!

Once again an amazing stay at this unit. We have stayed there 3 other times and each time it is better than the last. The unit is beautiful and stocked with anything you could possibly need. Very clean and so comfortable. The lanai view is wonderful especially during whale season. Beach on property has turtles everyday. Location is great and near so many restaurants, things to do etc. If we could give 10 stars we would.
