The location was perfect and we loved the well kept landscaping which made for pleasant evenings and sunsets. It was nice to have beach chairs, towels, umbrella and snorkel gear. Snorkel gear needs a new mask (it doesn’t seal). The room is dated and small but still good for a party of 2 (not more). Recommendations: Get central AC if possible. We were fine but would have been hot in the summer. Bedroom needs an updated furnishing…especially mattress. There were a few small roaches in the bathroom. The front door upper screen was broken and fell twice. The front could be painted which would really help aesthetically. I would recommend wall mounted tvs to create more space. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. This is a good place to stay if you don’t want to stay in an overpriced resort but still want to be on the water. You don’t get the cleaning services or amenities of a resort but it is a good place to lay your head and relax after a day out on the island. You are close to plenty of shopping, dining, and many beaches. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is perfectly located to watch Humpback whales frolic in the ocean and beautiful sunsets with no impeded view. The laundry facility, pool, parking and filtered water are very close and convenient. The grounds are well maintained and you can BBQ while watching the sun set and whales head back for the evening. When conditions are right, paddle boarding/surfing and snorkeling are just in front of the property. There is a sea turtle sanctuary also in front of the property and some will frequently beach themselves nearby to bask in the sun. The owner is very responsive to questions/requests and staff on site are friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

Waterfront property, amazing small cove with lots of turtles as it’s a preserve. Nicely updated appointed condo. The property is well taken care of and landscaping is beautiful. It’s close to Kaanapali and Napili and Lahaina is just down the road. Great value for the money. Would stay here again.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Condo is new , clean and has everything you could need. We saw sea turtles and whales right out the back patio. Close to restaurants and shopping. The grounds were well maintained with all kinds of beautiful flowers. Everyone was friendly and respectful of each others space.

The complex was beautiful and well kept. The unit was on the ground floor and we could walk out to the edge where the rocky beach housed several large turtles. The unit was fully furnished with many kitchen tools for food prep. The outside grills were meticulously cleaned every day.
The view from the porch was spectacular with whales spouting and breaching for our daily pleasure. Many stand up boarders were out almost daily, except when the wind was too strong.

We loved the outlook and location of this apartment. Such a beautiful view with the sound of the sea even reaching the bedroom. We would explore Maui all day and then go to the beach steps from the apartment and swim, often with turtles. The apartment was quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed.

This was the perfect spot for us to retreat to at night after spending all day at a resort with the rest of the family.
We appreciated the higher quality paper products and kitchen setup, which was a lot better than the family had at the Westin.
We liked having air conditioning in the bedroom, but if you are bothered by the sound, bring some earplugs and you should be fine.
Thank you for giving us the option to check with housekeeping early to see if the room was ready!

It doesn’t get any better than this! My husband and I have rented several units here at Kuleana and this one is the best! It’s clean, newly renovated a few years ago. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and the beach is just steps away. Aloha!!

Beautiful view with the ocean steps outside your patio. The bed was fantastic, bathroom was newly updated, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. We wish we would’ve been able to stay longer and enjoy all the amenities offered at this resort. The reason I am rating it a little bit lower in one area is because it said it had a safe to put your valuables in, however the safe was not in working condition. Also there were some differences in the details the owner sent us versus the ones listed on Vrbo. Nothing really big, however there needs to be some consistency in the description. We would definitely stay at this place again! It was everything we needed in paradise!

If you’re looking for a quiet, non crowded, private location, with excellent security, while still close driving distance to restaurants and beaches, this is the place. The unit is on ground level, with private back porch and ocean view. This unit is very clean and up to date with a nice little but full kitchen and bathroom shower. This condo has only a window AC unit in the bedroom which can be noisy at night but it adequately cools the entire unit.
I asked about the beach photo in advance, so I was not surprised that there was extremely limited beach space behind the condo complex-it’s mostly rocks and nothing like the photo, but that was ok for us cause we preferred to drive to multiple beaches to snorkel and explore. After all that, what a treasure of a place to start your day with breakfast on your back porch staring at the islands of Lanai and Molokai, explore for the day, then come home in the evening and relax on the back porch with a glass of wine and use the exceptionally well maintained grill area to cook some steaks while enjoying the amazing view. Extremely happy with our choice.

Overall, the place was just okay. There is one AC unit in the bedroom for the entire place. This means the bedroom guests will be nice and cold and anyone in the living room will be quite hot. We could never get the main area cool enough. Would not recommend the dining room chairs if you're trying to work remotely, very uncomfortable. The other issue (which the owner was so quick to point out in the rental agreement) is that the beach is only sometimes accessible. That's fine, but maybe don't have this beach photo as your main image for your listing. It's quite misleading.

This was a great spot for my wife and I during our visit to Maui. The location and proximity to the beach is awesome. You are steps away from from the water and there is great snorkeling. We were able to snorkel with 4 sea turtles that were feeding in the water right off the shore. Unit was nice and as pictured. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for 8 nights and this condo was perfect! I booked it especially since it was on the first floor and opens up directly to the ocean/beach. You're on the beach within 30 seconds and don't have to walk through a huge hotel or lobby. Beautiful views, saw turtles on the first day.
It's a little drive away from shops/restaurants but not far if you have a car. They provided plenty of bath & beach towels for 2 people. The kitchen is great for cooking some of your own meals and is equipped with cookware.

We absolutely loved the location of this little vrbo! Accurate listing…right outside the condo was the ocean and a small beach in which there was great snorkeling and even turtles! Very quiet reaort, which we loved. Was exactly what we were looking for. Not really a good place for kids, as the pool has some strict rules regarding noise, Condo was clean and easy to book. Nice updated condo that met our expectations. Exactly as pictured, but the photos do make it appear a bit larger than it is. Not a negative, simply stating for informational purpose. Great for 2 people or a family with small children. Beautiful grassy oceanfront for sunsets and turtles. A small beach is steps away and a large pool is a very short walk but far enough away that you won’t get pool noise.
2 beach towels, pool noodles, boogie boards, and snorkel available for use. We chose to rent our snorkel gear and beach chairs from The Snorkel Store. Excellent location to restaurants and many large beaches but away from the busier tourist area. We had planned on going to a different beach everyday but ultimately the privacy of this location made it our go to spot.

We absolutely loved the location of this condo. It is just steps away from a beautiful ocean for swimming and snorkeling. And the pool is picturesque as it is surrounded by lovely well-maintained gardens. And the neighbors are so friendly. The property is gated and also has a security guard on the premises. However the area is so nice that we would have felt safe without it. We wish we were able to stay longer. The property manager answered any questions we had efficiently. My fiancé and I had the best trip and a major reason was because of this place! Waking up to the ocean and evening sunsets were magical. The place was clean and everything you would need. Location was perfect and neighbors were quiet. The beach access was perfect. Your own secret beach away from the crowds. And so so so many turtles!! Nothing bad to say. Would come back and reccomend to everyone!

This should be advertised as senior community. The rules posted at the pool were not inviting to young adults or young parents with children. While we did not have any kids with us, we recognize that vacation spots are family oriented. The older folks watched every move and corrected little ones who were playfully loud. The view from the patio was phenomenal and the short walk to the beach was enjoyable. The unit had a window a/c which kept the bedroom very cool at night. I would recommend spraying the unit....we woke to centipedes in the hallway. Overall we enjoyed the view, the availability to grill our dinner and private beach nearby.

We have been to Maui several times and this was by far the best place we have stayed. Location is ideal. Close to the action if you like going out and nightlife. Peaceful and relaxing if you prefer to hang out at the condo. Everyone we met here was friendly and had suggestions for activities and meals. And the view from the patio is awesome!
We ate in the condo and also went out for meals, both options were easy and delicious. Just about everything you need is here. Stores nearby for those things we forgot or needed.
Will definitely return. Next time we hope to stay longer!

We have stayed at the Kuleana before, in the 700 building, this unit is nicely updated. We appreciated the simplicity, non cluttered decor. The cookware, dishes and knives are good quality (most of our meals were prepared in due to Covid). Took a couple days to adjust to sleeping in a new bed, then slept like a baby. We were able to access our Netflix with the smart TV and liked having a TV in the bedroom. One of the only things we wished had been provided was lounge chairs. Beautiful and relaxing unit and complex. We'll be back!!

This property is a delight. We loved sitting at our patio and watching the waves. And in the afternoon there were maybe fifteen turtles eating among the rocks right out front. You could see them from above or snorkel with them. It was wonderful! The little beach is nice but many folks also just pull up chairs on the lawn facing the ocean.
The TV is a smartTV and was easy to sync our devices to, which was nice.
The front room does get quite warm in the afternoon so be sure to pull the curtains or ask for a fan. Also note that the washing machine is not in unit and is coin operated.

Great location and the sunset views were awesome! The water was a little murky the day we tried snorkeling in the property cove, but we found another spot close by with great reefs and fish. It was about a 10-15 minute drive into the town of Lahaina where we had dinner and did some shopping. We'll definitely keep this property in mind for a future visit.

This unit is nice with a beautiful view and has all the basics. That said, it is not the best unit if you plan to cook most of your meals in since there is very little counter space to prepare food for cooking . Also, the unit lacks helpful amenities like hooks on the patio to hang beach towels and an appropriate sized kitchen trash can. I would stay in this unit again, but only if I planned to go out to eat or get take-out for most of the time.

this is the second year we have stayed at this condo. The condo is a great place to stay and is as advertised. The owner is great to work with and responsive. This resort is very well maintained with beautiful plants, shrubs and trees. The grills, pool etc are well maintained. We love this ground floor condo with a great view of the ocean so we can watch the whales and turtles and have easy access to other amenities.

My fiancé and I have been coming to Maui for several years with our three children and decided to do a couples get away this time around. We could not have been happier with our choice as the condo was perfect for us. We loved the updated feel, the great location in being close to the best beaches in Maui including the charming private beach located at the property. The grounds were beautiful as was the view which we enjoyed every night sitting on the lanai watching the sunset and sleeping with the back door open so we could hear the ocean. We would recommend this place for couples or small groups as we will certainly be back.

Unbelievably impressed with the property. The condo was a bit smaller than we expected, but it was perfect for two people.
It seemed that everything was newly remodeled and even all of the kitchen utensils seemed new. All new stainless steel appliances, as well.
The snorkeling at the property was great (turtles everywhere), the pool was excellent, and all of the people we met were very friendly. The next time we come to Hawaii, we will definitely schedule our trip around the availability of this property.
We called the owner once, and we got a call back right away, and she was very nice.

This unit is very nice, and seemingly very newly renovated with nice high end materials, cabinets, artwork, etc. The unit is right next to the larger and sandier beach on the Kuleana property, which our kids loved. The first floor access was excellent as we were there with folks staying in the 400 building condos, so we could just walk along the water front to visit them and get to the BBQ grills. There was not much in the unit for the kids to play with on the beach, so be prepared to stock up when you hit the grocery store if you have young kids. Fortunately, toys aren't expensive and the grocery stores are very convenient. You definitely want to rent some snorkel gear and check out the turtles and fish right off the rocky area near the beach. We had to rent as there weren't any in the unit, but it was very reasonable just down the street. This unit is also a very easy walk to and from the parking lot as and the hose to wash off your feet is right near the front door of the unit, so very convenient there as well. The sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. Reeny was very prompt in answering my questions. I highly recommend this unit!
