Perfect spot right on the ocean! snorkel right outside your door (we rented gear from Snorkel Bob’s). Whole place is really clean and everyone is friendly. Parking spot is difficult to navigate.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Everything was clean and comfortable. Communicating with the host was easy. It’s really fun being right on the ocean and getting to see sea turtles and whales every day! We were even able to get used to the tight parking spot. Everyone enjoyed the cute decor of the place too! What a fun vacation place!

Can’t say enough good things about this place! The location was awesome, the unit was clean and had everything we needed for the week, having access to a pool and the ocean right outside your door (with a bin of some noodles and body boards we could borrow), and best of all was the view! We saw whales daily and sea turtles many times! Definitely get a smaller car (sedan or lower suv) as others have mentioned, but aside from the tight parking this place is a dream!

I can’t say enough great things about this property. The decor and layout were thoughtfully done to make everything lovely, comfortable and convenient. The balcony has a stunning view and was perfect for watching the whales off the coast. It was very well equipped with everything we needed and wanted. We went to Maui in February mainly to see the whales. We were hoping we could sit and relax on the balcony and still see whales and that is exactly what we were able to do during our stay. Seeing fabulous sunsets each night was an added bonus! The condo was excellently equipped with everything we needed and the hosts were very quick to respond to any questions we had. It is just a short drive to excellent beaches and snorkeling locations as well. We couldn’t really go in the ocean right in front of the condo because the surf was too high during our stay, but I think that was unusual. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay and should we ever get the chance to return to Maui, we would most likely stay here again.

The condo is small, but nice. The best part of the condo really is the amazing views right from the balcony. We saw so many whales! We did wish that the couch and TV were reversed, as your view of the ocean from the couch is blocked from the trees, but not a huge deal.We snorkeled right in front of the condo and saw tons of fish, an eel, lots of turtles and many whales in the distance. It was amazing!The parking as noted is a small space, but it worked out.We would stay here again for sure!

Small property. Spectacularly maintained. Amazing views. Quiet and relaxing. Unit was very clean and well supplied with the necessities. The bed was comfortable. The furniture is very taste specific. We found it difficult to find places to put our clothes. Most unfortunately we found the furniture incredibly uncomfortable. The sofa was really uncomfortable and the patio furniture was very flat. It was difficult to be comfortable in the room or lanai. Fortunately the beauty of the area, the whales and the cleanliness helped negate how uncomfortable the furniture is. Pay attention to the parking recommendations and you should have no trouble with the tricky parking lot. If you are not a confident driver this may not be the property for you.

This was our first time staying at this property. We usually stay at Papakea. We love the small complex and the lovely grounds. The resident manager is very responsive and takes exceptional care of the property. The only downsides for us was the noisy air conditioner in the bedroom. The street is very close by so leaving windows open at night wasn't really an option as the cars were rather noisy as well. Other than that, it was a great place to stay. Mahalo!

We enjoyed our stay at this Hyochi Nikko condo. Highlights- View from the lanai, comfortable beds, modern beachy design. Things the host could consider- There were some basics missing that would've been helpful during our stay (hand soap, cooler) and the shower drain was plugged from day 1. Hyochi Nikko is a wonderful property, but is very quiet so would hesitate to bring kids again.

We've stayed in Hoyochi Nikko before, and it does not disappoint. We prefer a quiet and smaller place; being just on the water and only a few units,its our favorite. Of course, we are worried if we rate too highly too many people will reserve! In any case, a perfect score. The hosts were very responsive and no issues at all.

What an amazing place to spend our Christmas holiday! The view is unbeatable, with gorgeous sunsets every night and views of turtles and whales from our lanai daily. The building only has a handful of units so it has very cozy vibes verses staying at a resort. The property itself is quite private which was perfect for us. The waves were a little intense some days so it was nice to have the pool, as well as the little sand bar up away from the waves. Some things to note. The mattress in the sofa bed and in the loft could be replaced (unless you’re a spring chicken that can sleep anywhere). You can hear the waves as you drift off to sleep, which was a huge bonus for us. The unit comes with a window AC unit for the master bedroom, however it wasn’t needed during our stay. The unit comes with a washer and dryer which was lovely to have, but could use an update. Our lanai was large and we enjoyed our morning coffee and all our meals out there. The other guests were friendly and everyone was respectful of the condo rules. Overall our trip was amazing and we loved staying at this property. We look forward to going back!

We had a wonderful time at Hoyochi Nikko! The property is small, quiet, and private—exactly how we prefer to vacation, away from the crowds. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and most days, we had the pool entirely to ourselves.Although the beach was a bit rough since it’s winter, that didn’t stop my family from enjoying a swim and spotting turtles swimming nearby. The condo is exactly as pictured—clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay.Mark was a fantastic host—informative, straightforward, and quick to respond to any questions we had. We’re so glad we had the opportunity to stay at this gem of a property.The highlight for us was the balcony with its wide-open view of the beach. The condo is just about as perfect a location as one could ask for. The community is smaller and not crowded with people, it is close to several beaches and restaurants in the area. As it is right on the beach as well we were treated to beautiful sunsets, lots of sea turtles, and whales swimming by. The host and property manager were great to work with as well.I highly recommend this condo and I will stay here again on my next visit to Maui.

When I was searching for a place for my family to stay, I knew that I wanted to be on the beach with a view. I saw a lot of places. They looked good, but I didn't get that gut feeling of "this is it, this is the place" until I saw this listing.
The pictures don't even do it justice. The view is absolutely spectacular. My family and I would just sit on the balcony for hours, just listening to the ocean. We saw humpback whales and sea turtles practically everyday. We even saw a seal from our balcony. It was amazing.
The whole place was spotless and very clean. The one bathroom was just fine for the four of us. Kitchen had everything you could think of, and it was very well organized. The bedrooms were the perfect size, and the beds themselves were super comfy. The only thing I will say is that you can definitely hear the cars driving by the nearby road at night when you're in the downstairs bedroom trying to sleep. But if you buy some earplugs, I'm sure it would be fine. Other than that, the accommodations were pretty much, perfect.

This condo was perfect for our group of 3 friends. Well stocked kitchen, AMAZING view, comfortable beds, and great location. Owner was responsive quickly when we had a small issue. The spiral staircase going up to the 2nd bedroom area is precarious, especially at night. Difficult to get a suitcase up there, but nice to have a second private area away. Living area seating is also limited to 3 people on the couch. Not sure where a 4th person would have sat to watch TV. Overall, a great place to stay in Maui.

The condo needed to be updated, it also needed a deep cleaning, very dirty. The tile on the floor chipped everywhere, the countertop cracked by the sink. We’ve stayed at this complex in other units for 20 years never had this problem.

We stayed 6 nights in this welcoming condo that quickly felt like home away from home. Only 90ft from the ocean, when we weren't in the water, my husband and I enjoyed opening the sliding doors and listening to the ocean while we read or did a puzzle. Snorkeling right out back was the best choice we made as we got to witness the busy reef world and swim alongside sea turtles. A reasonable price for an incredible view and experiencing a slice of paradise!

We loved the central Beautiful location of this condo that is close to some of our favorite eats and beaches on the island. The grounds and private beach access won’t disappoint! Mark and his family have made it super comfortable and have thought of everything you need for an amazing day whatever you choose it to be. There is excellent info provided for activities or down time. The condo is clean and well taken care of but slightly dated-which we loved as is. My first time to Hawaii could not have been any better! The condo was very comfortable and up-to-date. The view was wonderful - loved sitting on the balcony and relaxing. We all loved the fact that it felt like a home, not a big resort. There were always plenty of lounge chairs to relax in even with about 15 units. The manager was up every morning taking wonderful care of the beautiful grounds. Parking was very tight so rent a small car. BUT we would definitely stay there again!

Wow, too hard to put the amazing view into words. There were sea turtles resting on the beach our first evening. The clear blue water and soothing ocean waves were relaxing, Palm trees that perfectly framed the back of the property and amazing sunsets would gently sway in the breeze. The property and back/pool area were very clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had more utensils, pots/pans, towels, glasses, dishes, etc than we expected. We hope to come back and stay longer next time!
