This was a most charming, well equipped, clean, and comfortable condo with a spectacular view overlooking the ocean and lovely landscaping to watch sunrise and sunset from. We thoroughly enjoyed observing and listening to the waves, as well as sighting sea turtles and whales from our balcony and garden in front. A truly magical and enchanting place to stay!

Had a nice time with family. Surf was high so beach wasn’t usable for the young kids but the sandy area above it was lots of fun for them. Walking distance to public park beach when they wanted access to water.
Beautiful views including whales splashing, and rainbows over the water each day. Clean and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood in general, some road noise. Convenient grocery and other food options with fresh fish.

This was a wonderful place to stay with the family. Kids liked: upper floor single beds, pool, property grounds for playing and obviously the ocean views with whales and dolphins in sight.
The condo has good AC when you need it, well stocked kitchen, beds are comfortable, washing machine works great, overall there is everything you need for a fantastic time. There are information packages provided by the host ahead of time which were great and easy to follow.
Location is great, a very short drive to some local restaurants, bakery, park, and easy to access the family friendly beaches within 5-10mins.
Some things to think about when visiting. We went in the ocean from the condo everyday, but depending on the season and how the beach comes in, the water may be right at the steps making it a bit tricky to get into the water with the waves. At night, the main bedroom does get some traffic noise - so you may want earplugs. Also, we found the upstairs cooler at night than downstairs due to the nice airflow from the fans.
We want to go back, it was very enjoyable. 5/5! Thanks!

For strong and confident swimmers, the water out front would be swimmable, with snorklers in the afternoon. We stayed on the lawn and in the pool. This small setting was perfect for our visit with our extended family staying in the unit next door. Neighborhood felt safe. Parking spot is small but people are very willing to accommodate swapping. Road noise was annoying at times but something can be done about that. Thank you for having us! Would love to stay again.

Mark’s condo was a home away from home for my family. It’s in a quiet, relaxing location with an incredible view. We were sad to leave! Mark is an excellent communicator that has put a lot of effort into his home that truly makes you feel welcome. Good location. Fantastic when the private beach is intact….swimming and snorkeling were great. However high tides and wind caused rough water and beach washed away. Apparently it comes and goes, weather and tides dependent. Unit was small but very clean, well appointed and comfortable.

We loved it here! We were in Maui for a very specific purpose and brought my mother to join us. We wanted a place where she could fix something to eat or just relax if we went out. This "home" was perfect for that!
What we learned, though, was the entire area is absolutely sweet, from the small businesses to the semi-private beach. Although the beach is small, it was perfect! There is a wonderful Honu (green sea turtle) sanctuary just to the side of Hoyochi Nikko, and it was an irresistible place to sit with our friends and swim in the ocean nearby. We actually got to "swim" with the turtles when they glided through the water. We loved everything about the beach and the area where you can sun yourself on top of the sea wall!
The actual unit was wonderful and very comfortable and felt like a home! The view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean woke us up every morning, and at night, the breeze was so comfortable, we kept the window open and fell asleep to the sound of the ocean and tropical breeze! Nevertheless, when it was hot, we were able to turn on the air conditioner the few times it was needed.
The location is the best and is walking distance to some wonderful local businesses and places like the ABC Store where you can pick up almost anything. Hoyochi Nikko is between Ka'anapali and Napili and Kapalua, so it's conveniently located between two resort areas without being in a commercial area that loses the charm and ambiance of Maui and Hawaii. The unit is clean, comfortable, and stocked with almost anything you could want for laid-back island living. Appreciated and made use of the cooler, beach chairs, communal bodyboards(!), and copious cooking gear. Host Bianca was responsive and helpful.
Condo is a little older, but meticulously maintained. It's quiet and serene. The view from the back will melt your face. Walk down the steps though the seawall into the ocean where a shallow reef extends out about 100 yards. The waves will break here providing for decent surfing and bodyboarding right from the condo!
As of Oct 2023, glad to say the vibe in W. Maui is getting back to normal.

Our hosts gave detailed information about the rental (be sure to READ it all) and answered all of our additional inquiries promptly to make sure the lodging part of our trip was an excellent experience.
The property is simply stunning. It's everything you think of when you hear the word 'paradise'. Flora, fauna, fantastic! Snorkel right from the steps into the ocean. Turtles travel back and forth from rocks all day!
The neighborhood is quiet, except for the occasional street traffic noise coming in through open bedroom windows.
Easy mile walk to grocery store.
Rental car allowed us to explore the island, but we would've had a lovely time without one - it's that perfect.

Great location and views are amazing from the rental. Lots of turtles just out front to see. Pool and grounds are very well cared for. Listing did say compact cars only but could add details on the height limit. We had a small car but it had a roof rack that didn’t fit.

The place is beautiful with a fabulous setting and is very well equipped with everything guests will need. Unfortunately, we visited during the Lahaina fire and had to evacuate early with the other tourists. Mark was very communicative during this stressful time and generously refunded our cost for the abbreviated stay. We could not ask for more from a host and will be back again! Thanks Mark! We absolutely loved this condo. You could tell that so much though was given to the way it was set up. The two sink bathroom was so convenient as well as all of the storage under the stairs. The property was stunning! Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed as well as beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler. My one disappointment was the lack of beach, but the sea turtles made up for it! The loft was to hot to sleep in even with fans, we utilized the hide-a-bed and the main bedroom downstairs instead of using the loft. We would go back for sure, but this time we know what to expect.

This was our first time staying here though we have been to maui many times. We loved the location of this unit and the loft came in handy for our family of 4. Mark was a great communicator and checked on us regularly to make sure everything was ok. It’s great that they have a property manager on site if anything needs to be addressed. The only downside would be that there is no guest parking and the unit parking is pretty tight. Thank you mark for an awesome stay!

Our trip started out in a messy fashion due to United Airlines national cancellation of thousands of flights; however, Bianca was super in accommodating us! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Upon arrival our family of 4 was welcomed by an amazing ocean view and an immaculately clean condo. We were greeted by double rainbows over the ocean several mornings and the sunsets were gorgeous each night as we relaxed on the spacious lanai. The beds were all comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked with cookware, appliances and basic pantry needs. There were plenty of towels and we used the beach chairs and boogie boards to enjoy the little beach out front. The pool was great for my son who preferred swimming in fresh water. It was fun to swim with sea turtles right out front and to walk down to the food trucks and fish market. We also enjoyed the lending library by the pool and Patricia checked in to make sure everything was going well and she was lovely to chat with. We sincerely hope to return in the near future.

My husband and I had an amazing time at Walt and Kathy’s condo. We loved that it was a small building. It was very convenient and a perfect location. The condo itself was beautiful, comfortable, with incredible views from the lanai. AC in the bedroom was helpful and we had a lovely breeze through the condo when windows were open. Kitchen was great and stocked with everything we needed to do some cooking. Kathy’s communication was excellent and the instructions for coming and going were very thorough. Overall, I highly recommend staying at Walt and Kathy’s condo!

There is awesome snorkeling right in front of the condo, with turtles that come to eat the algae everyday. We had an awesome time and were sad to go home.

We did a lot of research for the best place to stay in Maui and we were so happy to find this place. Beautiful well kept property in a great location. The condo really has everything you need to hang out on the property or head out for a beach trip. It was clean, comfortable, and cool inside. We were able to enjoy the water out front and snorkeling near the rocks during low tide. We saw more turtles here than on the turtle town excursion. The pictures don't do justice to the amazing view you experience.
