The pictures don’t do this place justice. Not only is it beautiful, but it’s so comfortable and had everything we needed. It was quiet and peaceful and we felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. Not to mention the view! It’s right on the water, so I got to have my morning coffee with sea turtles and whales and fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves every night. My only complaint - having to leave.

We love coming to Maui and only had 4 days so spend. Great location to experience the island. Beautiful sunsets, ocean just below us. Watching the turtles grazing among the rocks was a real treat. We had everything we needed for a perfect time.

The walk along the beach close by, and falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean below, priceless! The place was so clean and had everything we needed! This is a large, pretty, well-decorated studio with a spectacular ocean view, sitting feet from the water. The lanai is also surprisingly spacious. I sat out there for hours watching whales in the distance. The condo is in an excellent location, minutes from Kaanapali (Black Rock beach), with other beaches nearby. Jamie and Will are excellent hosts: friendly and responsive, with lots of good tips. The bathroom is a decent size, though with its configuration, guests with mobility issues may have some problems. Also, there is no direct beach access in front, if that is important to someone. Otherwise, this is a fantastic choice for those looking for a place in West Maui.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Clean, nice amenities, everything you need in the kitchen, plus lovely sunsets every night. The sun drops right into the ocean at the north edge of Lanai. The beach chairs, towels and cooler were everything for us beach bums to have an enjoyable trip. Thanks!

Perfect place for a getaway for two. Feels like an upscale hotel, easy check in and parking. Whaler’s store is an easy walk and has great poke. We also enjoyed walking to Miso Phat for excellent sushi!
The rocking chairs on the lani were are favorite spot and we spent a lot of time watching the endless whales and turtles.

We have stayed other places on Maui & this is THE best yet! The pictures do not do it justice, you have to see for yourself what a beautiful location and property this is! Everything is so clean, perfectly stocked, and truly amazing. This is located close to beautiful beaches & our favorite restaurants we drove just minutes to. The communication from the Hula Hideaway staff was excellent, very attentive & above & beyond helpful. We just got back and are already recommending Hula Hideaway to all our friends and family. We’re planning on booking our next family vacation at one of the Hula Hideaway properties that’ll accommodate our kids. Traveling to Maui for our 42nd anniversary. We want oceanfront & we got it! Big swells warning were issued so there were times we felt the waves hitting the sea wall. Whales & sea turtles did not disappoint! Unit itself could use some freshening up. Walking distance to several food/groceries/beaches. Overall we enjoyed our Maui getaway!

This condo was amazing. One room condo that had fun, clean decor and plenty of space to spread out. But the view of the ocean/ bay (toward Molokai) was unbeatable. We just sat on the balcony (sorry, lanai 😀) and watched the whales breach in the distance.
Candidly, we were a little apprehensive about the condo since it was so reasonably priced and photos can be deceiving, but my goodness, it was perfect and I would say we hit a homerun with it.
The owner was very courteous.
Close proximity to several nice beaches and restaurants and plenty of day trip opportunities from here.
Can’t recommend this place highly enough (for two people)!!

Great location with everything you need for your W. Maui visit. On the ocean with a great view from lanai. It was humpback whale season and we could see them right from the lanai. Clean and comfortable and convenient. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful time at Joe and Naomi’s oceanfront condo. It was wonderful eating breakfast on the lanai each day while listening to the crashing surf. We were able to see green sea turtles every day and could see whales pretty much anytime we were out on the lanai. Plus the incredible views of both Lana’i and Moloka’i islands. And don’t miss the best cinnamon rolls you will ever eat just down the road at Papi’s Ohana. The condo had everything we could ask for and we would absolutely love to stay here again the next time we visit Maui!

Our stay was amazing! Melissa’s place is immaculate and is set up for everything you need. The covered lanai is the perfect place to watch the whales. The one small drawback is no beach but within a short walk beautiful beaches to enjoy.

We had a great week at this condo. Check in and out was easy and the place was very clean. It was very quiet as we didn't hear any neighbor or road noise. I add my voice to the other reviews that the location was amazing. We absolutely loved watching the many whales in the distance from the balcony and even loved using the binoculars that were in the dresser drawer. We ended up wanting a beach chair and since it was the same price to rent one as to buy one, we bought one and left it in the closet. Because we were there for 6 days, the only thing I would wish for was another set of bath towels to have fresh ones after a few days. Other than that, the accommodations were perfect!

This place was what I was looking for, some place to rest, relax and reset. The views alone were amazing, but the attention to little details exceeded our expectations (board games, beach equipment, stocked kitchen). The daily rainbows and whales in the distance left us in complete awe. We cooked and dined on the lanai as we enjoyed the melodic sounds of the waves. Perfect. Condo looks almost new - very well appointed, all the little details. Location is perfect - short walk to little market or short drive to Nāpili Village and the big market, Joeys Kitchen (yum) and Boss Frog. But the best is the lanai - literally 10’ from the sea wall and on the third floor so you have 180 degree views of Molokai and Lanai and in season fantastic whale watching. We saw spouts all day long and LOTS of breaches, fin slaps and flukes. Wonderful stay.
