Leading up to our stay, I'd reached out to the HH team to surprise my gf (now fiance) by decorating the unit with flowers and balloons and wine, and they absolutely nailed it. The unit had everything we needed and the views were spectacular. The sea turtles greeted us almost every morning and the whales even paid us a visit during our stay. This was easily the best experience I've had at a vacation rental. I HIGHLY recommend staying here.

The views from the lanai can't be beat and it was a real treat to watch the sea turtles below. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a more laid back scene than the resorts.

The magical views from the balcony were amazing! We enjoyed the turtles, rainbows, beautiful colors of the ocean, and the sunsets daily. The beautiful decor made us feel at home and cozy for the 11 nights we were there. Communication was prompt and very friendly if needed with the owner. Small special touches like a filtered water pitcher came in handy especially for filling up our water bottles for the hikes and adventures. The washer and dryer were helpful to reduce the amount of luggage needed. Overall, it is was the perfect place to stay in Maui for our 10th anniversary celebration. When we go back (I hope soon!), we will be staying there again. I highly recommend the Hula Hideaway!

This condo was absolutely beautiful, clean and organized. Everything you might ever need was included. A fully stock kitchen with more seasoning and salts than even Gordon Ramsey would’ve ever need:) We made the best steak while staying here. Tupperware, all dishes and utensils were sparkling clean! Cubes of ice were ready for us, it even had fancy ice molds for drinks and those too ready to go. The views were personally the best I’ve ever seen on my trip from the balcony and it storage unit was stocked with tennis equip. And snornkels, board and a tube we’ve added to that by leaving back some equipment we purchased :) Enough can’t be said just come stay here you can’t be disappointed!!

So clean and spacious. The level of cleanliness just tops any other rental Ive been in. The availability of beach things like snorkel equipment noodles and chairs was so helpful too. The interior decor was so pretty and there was so much storage for clothes/etc. The layout of this studio is so thoughtfully and efficiently laid out. Everything was available perfectly. I was worried if it would be a little too small when reading description but it is so spacious so whoever designed this place really has an eye for design/efficiency. All closeby like 8 min drive to the best rated beaches like kapalua bag and napili beach is a plus.

Wow! What an amazing rental! Everything was perfect. Jill is an amazing host. The decor was beautiful, comfortable, the studio absolutely immaculate! It felt brand new! The view is so majestic it feels like your on a boat! Iv never stayed anywhere other then a boat where your so close to the water! We watched the turtles every morning with our coffee. How much better can it get!? The beach chairs, cooler, umbrellas all really high quality and fantastic! The bed so comfortable I didn’t want to get up in the morning!! Even the linen is beautiful! I can’t say enough about this fantastic rental. My only complaint is that it’s not mine!!! 😂😂 thank you Jill!!

We booked the HulaHideaway last minute after a terrible experience at a nearby “resort”. This place SAVED our honeymoon!! It was beautiful, clean, and probably one of the most well kept vacation rentals I have EVER stayed in. In addition, we saw turtles from the deck every morning and were even able to snorkel with them one day! I cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be staying here again if we come back to Maui.

As we already have our dates booked for 2023, I will share my 5 star review !!! This place was exactly as seen in the pics. We slept great in the very comfortable king bed. It was nice and dark outside as it is directly on the ocean, so could sleep with no curtains drawn, allowing g us to wake around 7:00 to beautiful dawn skies. Saw many whales and turtles from the balcony. Loved our time here.

We are repeat renters. HulaHideaway was so perfect before the renovation that I wondered how it could possibly be better. I was even a bit concerned I would not like the "new" place. What a surprise! It is updated, with a gorgeous new bath, kitchen, and floors. It is pristine, ultra clean, and absolutely beautiful. We love eating breakfast and dinner out on the lanai to enjoy sunrises, sunsets, surfers, sea creatures and beauty beyond compare. We could not get onto internet because of a change in sign-in and the management team arrived immediately and promptly took care of the problem. Everything about arrival, check-out, and the entire stay was effortless and perfect beyond description.

We have stayed at rental properties across the world… at this price point, NOTHING COMPARES. The views are simply remarkable! We saw a pod of dolphins one morning, a whale at sunset, a sea turtle mid-day while working from the balcony (the wifi was wonderful). This rental has more than you would expect in regards to laundry detergent, dish soap, beach towels, etc. On the mainland, I sleep on average 3-5 hours a night and slept a solid 8 hours a night because you have a real life sound machine soundtrack outside of your doors. The bed was a delight! Best of luck ever leaving the balcony :)

The view from the room is AMAZING! The studio room in itself was beautiful and very well decorated. The apartment is just right for a couple and we had a wonderful 5 day stay here - with smooth check-in and check-out. The place is very well stocked up. The bathroom was also very modern and had all the utility items we would need. The kitchen is small but honestly had every utensil we needed (they even gave us some welcome candy). Extremely clean and well maintained, smart tv, air con and high speed wifi. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back. the view is breathtaking!

This was the first leg of our Maui stay and it was perfect - cozy, clean and decorated beautifully. We absolutely loved waking to see whales off the balcony while enjoying coffee and breakfast sitting in the cool breeze. Sunsets were amazing! The location was perfect for us as it was on the quieter side of Lahiana and was within walking distance of Whaler's General Store and the Maui Brewing Company restaurant. There was no elevator that we could find and being on the 3rd floor although beautiful just watch how much luggage you bring. Their is a washer and dryer which we faithfully use and knowing that we didn't bring our entire closet :-) She provides beach equipment, snorkel gear and plenty of towels. The kitchen had everything you would need and we cook 60% of our meals so it was nicely outfitted. Know as well the views in the pictures online really do look like that - when you are on the balcony it's water all around, they are not just angled to look like that.
Last thing - this in our opinion is for couples only. If you have kids that run around the below neighbors may not be keen on that as the floors might be a little thin for noise. My husband plays guitar - Bounty Music will rent you a guitar for the week - and he is a toe tapper and didn't realize he might have been loud and we got a knock about noise.
Overall - we would totally come back! Thank you for a wonderful 4 nights!

We just came back from staying in this incredible condo and looking at the pictures makes me want to go back right away! Seriously, a wonderful place to hang out while enjoying Maui and beyond a doubt the BEST place to watch sea life! We had a whale completely breach only 150 yards from our balcony within 25 minutes of arriving! Talk about a great 'welcome'. :)
Condo is exactly as the pictures show and is located in a nice area to hit shops, groceries and gas. Bed was very comfortable and everything was clean and classy. Lots of water toys provided and everything was conveniently stocked.
TOTALLY AWESOME!! We'd stay in it again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to all our friends. :)
Cons: It is 3 stories up and no elevators so if you can't do stairs that would be a problem. Also, no bed for little ones to sleep in but honestly...DON'T BRING THEM! Its too romantic of a spot to bring the kiddo's! LOL

We stayed here for a week in March and loved every second of it! The condo is ideally situated to view the whales. Within 25 minutes of arriving we saw a whale completely breach just 150 yards from the balcony! What a great welcome to us! :) We constantly could see whales while relaxing on the comfortable loungers and sea turtles frequently swam right up to the sea wall under the balcony for easy viewing as well. One afternoon we watched 5 of them feeding for over 30 minutes.
The balcony is totally private (unless you have a somebody in the water directly in front of it) and we enjoyed every evening watching the sunset and drinking our own mai tai mix. :) Pictures are very accurately portrayed on the site.
The owner was great to work with and very attentive but not obnoxious...she checked in with us via email/text. The location is very convenient to grocery stores, shopping and gas. There is a beach access right next to the building and a hose to shower off with before going up to the condo as well. The condo was stocked with all the water toys you could need, the kitchen was nicely furnished and the bed was comfy. Very nice place for a couple to relax and hang out for a vacation!! Highly recommend!

The Hula Hideaway was exactly as expected + more from the photos. The view as soon as you walk in is breathtaking, feels like you're surrounded by water. Kitchen is a good size for two people, with nice granite countertops. Bed is extremely comfortable & we fell asleep to the sound of the ocean every night. Jill was great to deal with & responded quickly, even had a box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts waiting for us when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again, the price is totally worth it. Only downfall is the pool is on the other side of the street and there isn't a beach right out front, but there's one within walking distance and so many close by it didn't bother us at all! Overall, great place to stay for our honeymoon.

Hi Jill, just wanted to thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Condo! The location was perfect, close to shopping, beaches, great restaurants, and still so quiet and peaceful a night with just the sound of the ocean to lull you to sleep! The décor of the Condo is very tastefully done and that Ocean view was fantastic and the sunsets were just breath taking. Everything you could want is provided in the Condo to make you feel right at home right down to our adopted pet fish "Freddie"! Wes and I waited a long time for this trip(as you know) and it didn't disappoint, we came home with great memories and very relaxed. Thank you Jill for all that you did to make this possible for us(you know what I mean), we will be back one day, and look forward to staying in your little peace of paradise!

This was my first time to Maui. Wow! This condo has a great view of Lanai and Molokai. Its right above the water and feels very private. You hear the waves at all the time which are very peaceful. The condo is well kept and the owner is a great person to do business with. It's also within walking distance of the Maui Brewing Company!! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great time in Maui.

Sorry for the late review but Hi Ho , Hi Ho, it's back to work we had to go :(
I wish we could keep this little place a secret but when driving up to the unassuming little condo, doesn't look fancy. But wait for it~~you will be so glad you booked here..
Just the privacy and ocean balcony.. you are all alone in your wonderful bit of paradise as soon as you open the door. Jill was very helpful and lots of of space in this condo to really feel like home away from home. All you need is there, washer , dryer, swim gear, nice little beach just next door through the neighboring complex.
Everything is super close by. Stop by Food land on your way to get the best Poke .. Grocery store just a few min down the road and very convenient store at the gas station around the corner. Big selection of good deals on last minute souvenirs that you may need to find.
If its open, book.. forget the hotels,, this is it! Roll your car right under the covered parking stall,,,perfect.. only thing for those who may be less mobile, if you can't walk up three small flights of stairs,, there is no elevator. The walk up just makes paradise so much worth it.. Couldn't wait to race back to the room every evening just to watch the magnificent sunsets right on your own patio.. I still am in awe of the photos we took. Next time I hope we're able to visit during Whale season. Mahalo Jill for the hospitality:)
