The condo is very spacious and has a partial view.. it’s a short one minute walk to a very warm, hot tub and nice cat pool.. the beach is only in one minute walk away.. the beach area has very nice lounge chairs to view the water. It’s a one minute walk to the bus line.

The unit is spacious and well furnished with outstanding views. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bed was comfortable. Although there is A/C available, we chose to open the windows and slider which created a wonderful cross breeze. Restaurants and stores are close by. Our host was very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely choose to stay there again!

Our entire experience with Hawaiian Haven was OUTSTANDING! Every experience from booking the condo to checking out to head back home was truly top notch. The accommodations were exceptional. Every detail, from the interior decor of the condo to the Hawaiian Haven app were done with such intentionality and care - this team really knows how to make your stay extraordinary. Sands of Kahana was also a great location to start your adventures from - you have Kaanapali (shopping, restaurants and Black Rock) just to the south, and Napili just north of you and Captain Jacks is located on the property. Highly recommend Baya Bowls, Olea Coffee and Island Vibes Cafe. For fun and adventure - you have to try Trilogy's Lanai, Molokini and Evening cruises - they take such good care of you! Lastly, we drove our jeep around Haleakala (not for the faint of heart), and coming around the southeast side at sunset was AMAZING! Volcano on our right, ocean on our left and sunset straight ahead - golden hour - I put it up there with seeing Yosemite for the first time. Thank you, Ken & Brooke, for opening your beautiful condo to me and my family so that we might enjoy the beautiful island of Maui from such a beautiful and well-equipped location. Hands down the BEST VIEW!!! We went in Feb which is peak whale season. We saw whales upon whales every day, all day!! We also saw turtles and a seal right on the beach infront of the condo. 24hr check in was perfect, plus so many amenities. There is plenty of snorkeling gear, a long board and floaties, as well as a beach cart. Within walking distance is a coffee shop, convenience store and restaurants! Captain Jacks restaurant is on the property and opens as early as 7am. There is NOTHING we could have wanted more in this property. It’s close driving to many other beaches and excellent snorkeling spots. Just FYI, Maui Electric had a planned 24hr power outage due to high winds (for fire prevention) so be prepared to go to the East side of the island if that happens during your stay. If I could give more stars, I would. Can’t wait to stay with John at Sands Kahana again!!!

They thought of it all! What a lovely place to stay! We used the lanai for meals, drinks, card games and whale watching. Same 4th floor ocean view from living room overlooking the window boxes with blooming flowers- delightful touch. The rooms are generously sized; Primary with king has the view. 2nd has 2 beds but no view (can hear open lobby noise if any). The unit has boogie boards, fins, masks, beach towels, games, puzzles, nearly any kitchen item needed, etc for you to borrow. Each bedroom has its own bathroom attached. Very spacious place. Parking beneath the building. Beach and pool are right next to building as is the onsite restaurant, which hosts a good happy hour. Overall location was better for a rental car (uber from airport is ) and central to great beaches, a grocery not too far, and Whaler’s Village. Miso Phat Sushi across the street is spectacular!. Enthusiastically recommend this place if looking for a 2BR on the beach with ocean view! Enjoy!!

The description provided details of a well-ma condo with a balcony that could be enjoyed from the living room. It turns out the owners have the door screwed shut! I had seen a negative comment in a previous review but mistakenly assumed it would be repaired before our trip. We had three unrelated parties in a three-bedroom unit. I would never have booked if the description were accurate. The property also said there was airconditioning. The upstairs has one wall unit for the first floor, with nothing in the bedroom. The outdoor temperature was only about 80 and it was cooler outside every afternoon. The third bedroom had a temporary unit with a flexible duct to the outdoors. The owners have obviously had complaints because there is now tint on the window, that is scrapped and peeling. Rather than just installing double pane windows which is probably the only proper fix. The fan in the master had only the light not the fan functioning. The reviews said the bathrooms needed to be remodeled. I am fine with old as long as they function. The tub divertor is rusting off, there is a piece of missing tile etc. The beds and accessories were probably fine 15 years ago. I have never been more disappointed in a VRBO. I am a VRBO owner myself and know what is needed to keep a property nice. The resort itself was wonderful. The problem is that they don't rent the unit, it is another company, so we couldn't even get a battery for the remote.

This is the best condo I have ever stayed in. It is stocked! Kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal, the whole condo had so many amenities! The view is exactly how described. Even though it is a first floor condo you feel like you are on the second floor. Great communication with the host.We had a small change and they were so accommodating ! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

I gave 3 stars for the outstanding views but the condo needs improvements. We saw plenty whales, some breached the water. Huge turtles swimming in the water. The beach is very eroded so don’t plain on going there. There are many beaches around the area though. The AC doesn’t work in the bedroom. They said we would be getting a discount which we didn’t receive. There is also truly only 1 bedroom. A loft doesn’t count as another bedroom as it isn’t enclosed. If you don’t mind the AC not working in the bedroom you should be fine. It’s one on the reasons we booked there. The realty company insisted after a couple days that the AC did work but it never cooled down in there even with the fans they gave us. Yes, all windows rows and doors were closed.

The view was fabulous. It was nice having the many amenities available at the complex.The grills for guests to use were very clean.The property is a little outdated and could use a freshening up, but overall it was comfortable and spacious enough for a group of 4 adults.It was understood by the listing that post-covid, there wouldn't really be anything in the kitchen other than dishes and cookware, which is fine since we usually buy our own spices and pantry items.I was wishing there would have been foil, plastic wrap and those sorts of products available as have always been in every rental I've ever stayed at.But overall, it was a nice place to stay.

Watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee on the balcony and the sunset with a glass of wine was pure magic.The condo itself was near spotless, nicely decorated, and fully stocked with everything we needed—from a well-equipped kitchen to beach chairs, body boards, and even a cooler for day trips. The bed was super comfortable, and the sound of the waves at night made for the most peaceful sleep.The location couldn’t be better—just steps from a gorgeous beach where we enjoyed snorkeling with sea turtles and even spotted many whales in the distance! It’s close to great restaurants, local shops, and scenic drives along the coast. The property amenities, including the pool, grills, and lush landscaping, were top-notch and well-maintained.The only minor downside was that both bathroom blinds could use replacement, and the master bath window overlooking the ocean needed a good cleaning on the outside. These were small issues and didn’t take away from the overall amazing experience.If you’re looking for a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure in Maui, this condo is the ideal choice. We’re already planning our next trip back!

We loved our stay (my family from Denver and me from San Diego). I have a timeshare at Sands of Kahana and was there two weeks prior to moving to the three bedroom. I was only disappointed about the fact that there was not much notice (the day before I moved in) that you didn’t supply salt and pepper, coffee filters, laundry detergent, washing machine detergent, trash bags of paper products. I was told “we’re not a timeshare”. It was difficult to find two weeks’ worth of detergent; I could have brought things from home if I had notice. Salt , pepper, detergent and coffee filters are basic items in any rental unit. Luckily some items were left behind by previous tenants. Otherwise we loved it and are coming back the same time next year!

It was a wonderful week at the beach! Our hosts were great and had anything we could want for our stay already provided in the condo - beach accessories, well stocked kitchen, plenty of fans and Alexa’s in several rooms. Check in and check out were easy and there is a concierge desk that can help you find things to do. The unit is even nicer in person with an unbelievable view!

Third time to Maui, first time in a vacation rental. Stayed in this unit with our 3 kids (14,17 and 25) and our daughter’s husband. The good: The layout was nice because our daughter had her own separate space on the upper level. The view from the penthouse lanai (9th floor) never disappointed. The proximity to the beach below was great. Lots of snorkel gear available for use and the property was closely located to other beaches and shopping. The not-so-good: Master bathroom shower and toilet area has seen better days, the stackable washer/dryer was very small for washing the large beach towels, the lanai gets very dirty and wet as it has no cover from roof runoff, the main windows have poorly installed or deteriorating tint film that really detracts from the indoor view, the penthouse gets very warm, the lanai could've maybe used an umbrella, a vacuum for the sand would’ve been helpful, resort activities cost extra if you are booking with app platforms and lastly, the communication to the host was not great…we communicated some uncleanliness upon check-in as well as broken appliances and a response (without resolution) was received 5 days later. Did we have a good time anyway? Yes! Will we stay at SoK again? Likely. Would we choose this unit again? Unfortunately probably not.

So many things made it special: the perfectly stocked kitchen, the great view of the ocean, the lanai, lovely leis and fresh flowers greeted us, Ryan’s accommodating and personable service (on-island caretaker), and the beautiful, and comfortable decor. The digital guidebook contained everything we needed to know about our stay there-so helpful!
