Great property! Nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. The view was the best. Easy to navigate. The parking was easy to find. The property manager was excellent at responding to our request. No issues with our stay. The beach was so nice and quiet! I will say some of the surrounding restaurants closed at 8, so just be aware of that. Would definitely stay again!

The location of this place is ideal, not on the main strip or out away from restaurants or snacks, or save ice! The condo was as described and very clean, the property is maintained every day by a crew, grounds and pool included.

My oh my what a view! The ocean was only steps away and the sandy beach was breath taking. The balcony afforded a spectacular view of the ocean. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you have everything you need for a great stay. The unit was very clean. The owners provided: 2 beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, and a cooler. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and equipment needed to cook a great meal. Washer and dryer in the unit. Basically, all you need to do is stock your refrigerator, (laundry soap, dishwasher soap) and consumables and your set! The Snorkel Store is located right at the property. So renting gear was a breeze. The grounds are immaculate. The access to the pool and hot tub is a quick elevator ride down from the unit. We liked how convenient and central this unit was located.

At the far north end of Kihei, so quiet! Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough for easy access. Great pool and amenities. Condo was well stocked with everything we could need. Would definitely come back!

Clean one bedroom unit. Great view of Kihei beach. Steps from the ocean with a pool and jacuzzi also available. We cooked every day in the unit. Had almost everything we needed. We really enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the patio. Mahalo and aloha.

From the minute we arrived until the minute we left everything was fabulous! The photos in the listing were accurate. The condo had everything you needed to cook,If you chose! A wonderful lanai to enjoy morning coffee and watch the canoe club practise.The bed was the best we have had in a rental! We have never slept so well! Sugar Beach Resort was very clean and well maintained. Loved that it was small and quiet. We didn’t go to the pool ( others seemed to enjoy it) we are beach people. The beach was a great walking beach and the reward at the other end was shave ice!We wouldn’t change anything about the condo! Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise!!

We love the Island of Maui but had not previously stayed in Kihei. We found this unit the perfect introduction for us to the area. Located conveniently with quick and direct access to Highway 311, S. Kihei Road, or Highway 310, providing quick and simple navigation to anywhere we needed to go. There are many great restaurants, stores and other amenities right off S. Kihei Road, but of course you can travel to other areas easily for additional options.
The view from the 6th floor penthouse was spectacular; not only did we have an unimpeded view of Maalaea Bay, but we were also treated to some whale activity. The resort sits on and has direct access to the beach; a great pool and hot tub that are maintained daily. There were several nights we both walked up and down the beach enjoying the sounds of the waves and seeing all the stars in the sky.
Our unit was comfortable, well cared for, and clearly had been updated somewhat recently. We loved sitting out on the lanai in the evening; enjoying the evening sky and sounds of the waves below.
Kevin was great to work with and very communicative. He worked to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We also found the businesses we frequented clearly grateful for the return of tourism and business.
We would certainly stay in this unit again.

Another "exceptional experience" at Sugar Beach Resort. Everything was as advertised and deserving of all posted accolades. Location provides the ideal home base to all directions, sites and shopping. Unit was in top condition, very clean, along with recent upgrades. Looking forward to another return visit soonest.

A great location where you can walk the beach for hours without any buildings around. But if you want shaved ice (or an ABC store or ATM) it is only a 5-8 minute walk away. The co do is really well appointed with personal touches. Roomy enough for 3-4 without feeling squeezed. And it is definitely a bonus to have washer and dryer. Would definitely stay here again.

Unit was fine- a bit worn out overall however the shower was unusable and leaking ++ all over the bathroom floor and in behind the toilet, etc. We had to use all our towels to mop the floor. Property manager was quick to respond and sent us to an alternate rental but that second property was infested with cockroaches. We ended up renting a last minute hotel and only able to get $ back for the unused nights. Given the time we spent packing and unpacking and packing and unpacking and etc, and the amount of laundry we did in the first rental after mopping up the floors, we should have been compensated for all the nights we paid for. The second rental should have been inspected for cleanliness prior to sending us there. Really bad experience and have no trust in Hawaii life rentals and going forwards will be leery of vrbo in general.

This condo is clean, bright, comfortable and most importantly, oceanfront. We experienced lovely sunsets and early mornings out on the balcony and loved hearing the sound of the surf while in the condo. The condo is well equipped in the kitchen and bath and the bed is really comfortable. Highly recommend!

My one complaint is that there were gnats all over the balcony. I could not go out and sit on the balcony like I wanted to because of this.
That said, it's a very nice apartment and the view is spectacular.

We had such a wonderful time! The condo is really nice and that balcony has amazing views. We enjoyed eating numerous meals on the balcony while watching the waves. We even saw whales and sea turtles from the balcony.
The condo is very clean and the bed is comfy! We had everything we needed. The closet with beach chairs was an extra bonus. All of the appliances are new and work great. Kitchen is fully stocked!!
Fast response from the owner when asked a few questions which was great! Would definitely recommend 👌
Also, the location is perfect!! The beach was beautiful, clean, not crowded, and the central location made it easy to go everywhere on the island.

Thank you. It was great trip the condo had everything we needed. I would suggest getting a water brita water pitcher to put in the fridge. I noticed other condos had one which made it convenient instead of having to buy multiple bottles of water.

From the view to the location to the condition of the condo…everything was perfect. Pool was great - never crowded. Parking was abundant. Owner was very responsive throughout. Walk right onto the beach and take a left for a 5 min walk to Sugar Beach Bakery (a must). Looking forward to returning.

Sugar Beach is an excellent resort directly on a very long beach, lots of lounge chairs, pool and hot tub. Many restaurants near by in Kihei and the central location is an ideal base for exploring Maui.

When I read some of the reviews and seen the things that needed fixing. I thought for sure by the time we got there they would be fixed since they were not all big expenses. It does not appear that any got fixed. Very disappointing. We pay a lot of money to come here and there are many units to choose from. This Unit will not be our next choice.

What a great place! Loved the 2br/2ba. The view was incredible. The double lanai was so great. Kitchen was super well stocked. I would recommend arriving and checking out what they have before you do your grocery shop. There were some spices there already. It didn’t have filtered water or ice maker - but does have ice trays. Beds were comfy. Doors to bedrooms and secondary door to bathroom and another to toilet. Tons of opportunities for
Privacy for two couples or older kids. Beach and pool are beautiful. Loved it and would recommend.

We booked #118 because it was ground floor and it did not disappoint. It was lovely to enjoy the sound of the waves in the shade of the lanai for both breakfast and dinner.
It was great to be able to drop beach toys and water shoes off at the lanai after rinsing them without having to cart them through the condo when we came back in through the front door.
Parking was great. The kitchen was well stocked and everything in the condo worked well.
We enjoyed the pool every evening, although the temperature fluctuated a lot from one evening to the next, and the hot tub jets didn’t work sometimes.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
The water was murky so we needed to go to other beaches for snorkelling but overall a great place to stay.

We come to the islands all the time and this is probably the best property we have ever rented! It was stocked with more than we needed. Jim and Carol were welcoming, attentive, and kind. You are literally 20 steps from the water. My wife and I had an incredible time here and would recommend this property to anyone wanting an amazing stay in Maui!

The best features of this vacation was how gorgeous the facility was and how close we were to the ocean. We were only about 30 feet from the water! We could hear the ocean and feel the breeze. It was so relaxing!

Another perfect stay at Sugar beach.
The ocean views and hearing the crashing waves from the lanai, cant be beat. Beautiful walks on the beach, right in front of the condo never get old.
This area is perfect to stay, no matter where you’re headed on Maui, it won’t take long from here.
Already looking forward to our 10th trip to paradise.

Lovely place to stay! We loved the balcony with a beach view and had breakfast every morning. The beach is a very short walk and great place to swim. The place was very clean and tidy, check in was easy. We will definitely stay again the next time we vacation in Maui.

This place was perfect for my favorite daughter and me. I appreciated all the amenities in the apartment. Full size good shampoo after a day in the ocean was so much better than tiny trial bottles. I was able to borrow the snorkel gear and save the rental. We used the backpack nearly every day. Even had binoculars for whale watching! It felt like home. The location was super convenient compared to when I stay at Ka’anapali. You could consider the kitchen fully stocked! There was even a stick of butter for the banana bread impulse buy!

The wind was much stronger than I remember from previous visits and it caused the sliding glass doors to rattle almost constantly- a little annoying, but not unbearable. We had a small issue with a previous quest logging into Netflix and locking the account. Megan was quickly able to rectify it so we could log on. We also had the chain in the toilet tank that connects to the flapper come loose. Within an hour, someone was there to fix it. I highly recommend this place

We had a lovely time but will not return this time of year due to the bugs that come from the nearby marsh in the springtime. You absolutely cannot keep the doors open once it gets dark because they are attracted to the lights inside. My husband had to vacuum the ceilings the first couple nights we had so many. In the morning you will find them dead on the lanai so sweeping them up daily is a must! We swept up approximately one cup a day. I would definitely stay here again but not in March!
We had a blast and enjoyed our trip regardless of the bugs!

We loved sugar beach and want to come back! The complex is just the right size, not too crowded but big enough to have a nice pool and sprawling grounds. The location is amazing as a jump off point for points east, west, and north. The beach itself is never crowded, offers great swimming for young kids, and even fair snorkeling. The condo comes very well equipped with kitchen equipment, many sand toys, and beach chairs. Despite being a busy spring break week with many families, the surrounding condos (above below next door) never disturbed us with noise. We would love to come back!

Very comfy condo with everything you might need. The view from the lanai is fantastic. The complex is quiet, and the beach area is great! If you are looking for a relaxing vacation away from the crowds, this is the place. We have stayed in Wailea and Kaanapali many times and the beaches were always crowded. This beach was perfect. Maybe 5 people at a time on the beach. We loved our stay. Thank you for sharing your condo!
