We had fabulous time at the Sugar Beach Resort. Joan made our stay memorable with a well stocked home that has stunning views including beautiful sunset. The beach is super clean and the resort has all the amenities one can wish for. Joan is super responsive and very accommodating of any special requests one may have. Thanks for a memorable stay. We found the perfect place in Maui for our future visits.

A wonderful stay in Chris's condo. All was as described, clean, comfortable, and had all the kitchen amenities one needs. You can't beat opening the door and walking steps out to the beach and the ocean to swim or watch the sunset, it doesn't get better than that. Sugar Beach is a great central location in Maui. Chris is a great host, responsive to the couple of questions we had. We would love to stay again!!

We loved our stay at Sugar Beach Resort! We have stayed here many many times but this is by far the most comfortable condo we have stayed in. The bed was very comfortable and the furniture and chairs made for easy relaxing at the end of each busy day. Well stocked with anything you could need. Enjoyed the ground floor access as well! 5 stars!

The view was amazing! The air conditioning was certainly a plus. We love the Sugar Beach Resort complex. Great pool, pool area and hot tub. The unit specially was not very clean. The bed sagged so badly on one side that we had to turn it 90 degrees and sleep the short way. We reported it, and they said they would let the owner know. There was no action taken. The last two days were dominated by a major leak in the kitchen and bathroom from some problem above the unit. They had industrial humidifiers that were loud hot and smelly the last day. While we certainly understand these things happen. There was never any offer to give us access to another unit or to discount refund the days affected. This was our 5th trip to Maui and 2nd at Sugar Beach Resort. Sugar Beach is a great spot but I would be very cautious working with Maui Condo and Home.

This unit was wonderful. I was there for my sons’s wedding for a week and at the time I decided to get this first floor unit for easy access to the beach and pool. I was not disappointed. It was updated and was very clean. The sunset views from sugar beach are stunning. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for making my stay totally worry free.

This guy is a saint. I reserved this unit in May but had to cancel due to unexpected death of my brother in law. It was just a few days before our arrival. So I had to cancel and lost the fee. Kevin rented the unit for a few nights and sent me the . He didn’t have to do that. He’s one in a million. I highly recommend renting from him. The condo is in a perfect spot. Convenient to any place on the island and just minutes from airport. We particularly enjoyed the crashing waves at night. Right on the beach. Recently updated and tastefully done.

Overall, the stay was okay—I bumped it up to “good” mainly because the price was very reasonable. There were a few things that made the experience a bit tedious, like having to keep the doors open while the dryer was running, and the vent for the dryer was actually in the shower, so lint would fall down while we were trying to use it. The floors also weren’t very clean; after walking around inside, our feet turned black. We also felt a bit anxious about the towels, since the listing mentioned we’d be charged if even one was accidentally misplaced.The place worked for what we needed, but those small details definitely affected the overall comfort.

We had a wonderful stay. The view from the balcony was amazing. The beach is miles long and quiet for long walks. The grills are super clean for nights you want to dine in. The unit itself had everything we needed with a comfortable king bed. We love that it’s secluded from the busier areas. It’s just a short car ride to all the restaurants and stores. We have been to Maui 8 times now and our 2nd time at Sugar Beach Resort. We hope to return soon.

Great place but we came late the key did not work at first . After spending some time trying to get in the key finally worked . I think it hadn’t been used in awhile maybe some we 40 would have helped . The unit was wonderful clean had everything you could want . View was amazing we took some wonderful pics. Asked for a late check out and they let us have it. I would come again .

Shower and toilet area disappointing. Shower and toilet area should have pocket door for privacy. Shower design without complete closing shower door results in extreme water leakage out on floor. At the least the short raised wall should be canted into the shower so overspray drains into the shower area rather onto the exterior floor. Extremely bad design.

I like Sugar Beach Resort and have stayed there many times. This particular condo was not my favorite. The biggest issue I had was the location in the resort. No where did the post state its location, which was the room closest to the highway which runs 24X7. You can rarely hear the ocean because of the road noise. If I'd known the location of the room, I wouldn't have booked it.The room was nice enough but dated. Don't think it was worth the price though. Carpet was older and needs to be cleaned. Given the proximity to the ocean & sand, tile floors would be much better. Kitchen and bathroom were dated too. Bathroom access was kind of funky too.

Wonderful location for beach walks and sunsets. The initial check-in at the office made me feel like I made a mistake booking there, but the place grew on me. The codes were inconvenient to memorize for the place and pool. The entrance to the room was dark and hard to see. It was mostly clean, but could use some attention. The shower doesn’t have a complete enclosure so water went all over the floor.

What a slice of heaven this home is. Checkin process was smooth and Mike is extremely good at communicating! Upon walking in the unit it smelled freshly cleaned and was spotless. The beachfront view was breathtaking. On the kitchen counter were helpful items everyone needs when just arriving. Sugar, creamers, popcorn, chips, chocolates and other assorted items. Saved me for coffee the next morning! Every day we enjoyed our coffee on the balcony overlooking the amazing beach and water while the outriggers practiced in the early morning. The bed was super comfy and there was more than enough kitchen items, towels etc to satisfy our stay. Took many walks, enjoyed the pool and hot tub. DoorDash and Instacart were a welcome sight for food and minor groceries for the first morning’s breakfast. On property is a great little sandwich place with a bar. This unit PH20 is a must stay for any trip to the island and we will return again soon. Thank you Mike and Brenda for sharing your home with us.

Great greeting by staff. Friendly, prompt, the unit itself was very clean, had all the amenities you needed, especially liked the cooler and washer/dryer. The Sugar beach complexis very well maintained, we felt very safe. It was nice and quiet which is what we appreciate but close enough to South Kihei road to drive for groceries, bike rentals, etc. By far the best location we have stayed at on Maui. If we ever return we would stay at this unit again. We loved the sunsets each night.

The entire experience renting this unit, PH20, from the host, Mike, was exceptional. The unit is well furnished with a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer, dryer, QUIET central AC (no compressor roaring away on your balcony), comfortable king bed, 2 TVs with cable, fast wifi, central location, beautiful grounds, pool, hot tub, miles of clean sandy beach and blue water, beach towels, chairs & umbrella, snorkel gear, and that unobstructed million-dollar view. This was the perfect location to stay in Maui. The view from the living room is stunning! We loved starting each day with a cup of coffee, sitting on the balcony looking at the ocean. The washer and dryer came in handy, and it was nice that a small amount of laundry supplies were available complimentary. The kitchen had everything we needed as well. It was so nice that the condo also included two beach chairs and beach towels – they definitely came in handy. We took advantage of the pool on-site and even ate at the cute sandwich shop on the property (food was great). The location was convenient – it was easy to get to wherever you wanted to go on the island. All this at a very affordable price compared to other properties!

Superb! Central convenient location -only 20 minutes max drive from airport. Stunning views from the balcony offering unusual BOTH ocean view and valley and mountain view. Beach was not really swimmable ( was grey and murky water in October, maybe it’s different during other time of the year) and definitely not for snorkeling. However, very easy and short drive to the best swimming and snorkeling spots. Dina’s Sandwich (hot meal and drinks) open till 10pm, located practically on the “ground floor “ and meal “take out” time always took only 10 minutes max. This convenience alone should add a star. Kitchen was fully equipped but I chose to only cook eggs in the morning and then was gone exploring until late evening.
The condo was very clean, welcoming and cozy. It had absolutely everything you would ever need from laundry to beach chairs. This complex is basically a retirement community - everyone seems to be 70+. So for once, no screaming kids and drunk teenagers at the pool or hot tub; peace and quiet!
Host is a great communicator and super quick in responses. Would stay again. Highly recommend!

Ten paces to the pool, 50 paces to the beach/ocean. Perfect temperatures, low 80s minimal humidity, and no rain. Walked the beautiful beach daily (in both directions) for 1-2 miles each way. Walking distance to the Farmers market, local store, bakery and Hawaiian shave ice. Spouse was able to enjoy the beach/pool while I rented a road bike for the week and got 100 miles in (with a lot of elevation gain). Snorkeling was very close. Partook in the Te Au Moana Luau which was spectacular. Even did the Kahekili Highway (Kapalua to Kahului) which was both breathtaking and dangerous. Overall, a fabulous trip!
