We really enjoyed our stay at the Condo. This is by far the best equipped VRBO unit we have ever rented. Everything you need is here. We did most or our own cooking and the kitchen is very well equipped. There are beach chairs, a cooler, umbrella and sand toys for kids. Its a bit away from "downtown " Kihei which for us was great as its quieter. The beach stretches for miles so is never crowded. If you are a beach walker this is the place for you. Larissa the local property manager was prompt and helpful. The surf is gentle, so great for swimming. The pool at the resort is large and there was never a shortage of loungers at the pool or beach even over the busy Thanksgiving weekend.

We loved the location as it was central to most places on Maui and made for easy getting around to anywhere we went on the island. Perfect for a couple or small family, the unit had everything we needed to make our stay perfect and easy.

Property was very clean. People were there daily cleaning grass areas, pool and pool area, and grills. The condo was clean and quiet.
The beach nearby has super soft sand and easy waves so easily able to swim here too. Can walk to the abc store and Ululanis shave ice from here.
Close to the main downtown of Kihei, and other beaches, (like kam 1,2 and 3) which is nice. A good, central location for a lot of things. Was our first visit and would recommend for sure.

Absolutely wonderful stay! My family loved it. The apartment’s ocean view was better than the photos. My family enjoyed the pool daily - wasn’t too busy even over a holiday weekend. We enjoyed our daily breakfast on the lanai.
Unit has beach towels, 3 beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler so no need to rent!

Perfect location. Sugar beach is a dream beach. Soft sand for miles, easy access to the ocean, and gentle waves. Close to Kihei, shopping and places to eat. Spotless, clean condo. Very comfortable bed. Convenient location on site of sandwich shop. The pool is very nice too. We wish the owns would provide more than one kitchen hand towel. That is our only negative comment.

The unit was very nice. There were a couple things broken, but it didn't affect our vacation. The beds were comfortable, and I appreciated that every morning there were people out cleaning the grounds and the pool. It's very well kept and a nice place to stay.

We loved this condo! The view of the sunset every night was just awesome. One night, there was a whale jumping around in the bay as we watched from our balcony with the sun setting behind the whale. Couldn't ask for a better stay!

Working with the owners and property manager was super! They were quick to respond and help whenever we had a question or needed something. Having boogie boards and a cooler to use were a HUGE bonus, and the location is perfect. One thing they might need to do is clean the curtains, but there was a huge storm just before we came, so that's likely why they still had some sand and dirt on them. We would definitely stay here again and appreciate all that they did to help us make it a great vacation!

Property manager, Marco, was not too responsive to fix hugh picture that fell off the wall. The ADA gate with ramp was down for 2 days. There needs to be a hose attached to shower head. Condo was equipped with everything you need and the view was beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay at this Sugar Beach Resort condo. It felt central to everything - a quick drive to Wailea or Lahaina or over to Paia. Plus, it's really close to Costco, Safeway, and Walmart. Kitchen had everything we needed and then some, although the ice maker wasn't working. It would have been nice to have a heads up about that before arriving. And like others mentioned, the bathroom could use a bit of an update, especially the shower. Communication was great most of the time, though the last day or so, I didn't get replies to my texts even when notifying the manager we'd checked out. Overall great experience, though!

I stayed here with my daughters (9 and 6) for a week. The place had everything we needed to enjoy our week in Maui. It was comfortable, clean, and had plenty of space for the 3 of use. The location was perfect (stores, restaurants, and shave ice was super close) and the beach was just a few steps away. Host was easy to communicate with if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again! Great place!

My adult kids and I have had a đź’” year and needed to heal our hearts and start new family traditions. Christmas and new years on Maui provided us exactly the experience we needed. The Ohana Paradise was so perfect. We BBQ Christmas dinner and ate on on Lanai. We did day trips and looked forward to coming back to the condo to rest and refresh on the beautiful beach and amazing views. Morning coffee onbthe Lanai and sunset cocktail were special times for us. The condo is centrally located with easy access to shopping, restaurants and activities. We will be back! The condo was super easy to find and the grounds are very pretty. Pool and hot tub were great, with chairs to lay on. The bed was comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed. All the additional fees for taxes and cleaning though increases the actually price per night by about 40% though. But the view of the sunset from the balcony was worth it.

This condo had everything we needed for a relaxing trip to Maui. We enjoyed the lanai, the close proximity to the beach, the full kitchen, and the washer/dryer in the unit. The bed was very comfortable. We got the best sleep we’ve had in months! Sugar Beach is in a good location too, close to North, South and East Maui. The property manager was quick to respond when we had issues, which we really appreciated. The unit also came with useful amenities, like beach/picnic gear. Overall, we had a great stay here and would love to come back the next time we’re in Maui.

This north Kihei location is convenient to so many Maui locations. Kihei is windy, all the time, but there is a nice pool and jacuzzi. The unit is very comfortable, and has a good view of the beach.

Easy to avoid crowds, it’s a good place to chill away the bustle.
Mattress was good but pillows were awful. Nice bedding. I would stay here again.

This property is located on the beach of Kihei, Maui. Some of the other resorts have the road between you and the ocean, but not here. The property is well maintained, has everything you need, and is in close proximity to all types of shops, restaurants, and activities. The ocean view from the balcony and living room was amazing.
There are bar-b-ques available for use right next to the sand/pool/spa and plenty of tables and chairs to use. The beach goes for on miles in both directions and is was never crowded.
The owner (Lisa) was super helpful. She recommended numerous food and activity choices. The condo also had snorkel gear, water toys, a stand up paddle board, beach chairs and towels to use if desired. We will definitely try to stay here again!! Aloha!

The apartment was exactly what we expected from the listing - updated, clean and comfortable. Great location in Kihei and great driving distance to all of the major sites on Maui. The outdoor area on the property is great for star-gazing at night! We even asked to extend our stay by a day and Lisa accommodated with no issue. We cant wait to return!

Unbelievably wonderful! Right from initial inquiry, the owner was quick to respond and work with us to make sure our stay was perfect. We traveled to Maui for the “Cycle to the Sun” bike race up Haleakala and biked everyday while there. Sugar Beach Resort is impeccably manicured, had every amenity (pool, hot tub, lawn chaises, shaded areas, several BBQs, and right on the beach, no street to cross. SBR is a little west of Kihei town and in a perfect spot to go exploring in any direction on island.
The condo had EVERYTHING you could want... well equipped kitchen, nice linens, nicely decorated and all beach things... sand chairs, big beach towels, boogie boards, etc. Breakfast on the lanai each morning watching the surf lap the shore, just paradise.
Hoping we can return to SBR and score this unit again!!

Amazing lanai with a beautiful view of the pool area and ocean. Shady until late morning. Then sunny and hot until sunset. Beautiful sunsets from the lanai. The sliding glass door was amazingly wide making the lanai continuous with the condo living/dining room.
We couldn’t believe the variety of beach and ocean items such as boogie boards, beach chairs, beach umbrella, snorkeling equipment and what looked like a huge raft or boat of some kind available on the lanai for our use. We didn’t blow it up to investigate.
Comfortable bed, furniture Kitchen well stocked with utensils, cooking and baking pots and pans. Everything in kitchen in great working order. Delighted to have a washer/dryer.
Beautiful pool, koi pond, picnic/bar-b-cue area. The grounds were stunning and very well maintained.
1/2 mile from quick convince store and a few miles from bigger grocery stores. Free, easy parking.
There was a small bar and restaurant at our doorstep with a charming hostess/bartender who was a native Maui resident. We arrived late the first night and she helped us figure out the number system and, thus, where our condo was. Thank you, Earlene.
The owner of the condo and management company were easy to work with.
We hope to return soon.
