We loved this property! The condo had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. All of the beach gear (chairs, cooler, umbrella, beach toys, and a wagon to transport it all) were especially helpful! The owner was super helpful and responsive prior to our stay. She was also incredibly responsive during out stay. We were there during a Tsunami warning and unsure of what to do or where to go. I reached out to her to see if she could give us any guidance and she responded almost immediately- which we really appreciated. The location of the condo was great- not far at all from the restaurants and shops in Kihei and a quick drive from the airport (and Costco)! The beach in front of the condo was great. We saw multiple turtles hanging out in the sun on the rocks. This was a great condo, we highly recommend it!

The view is lovely. What a great place to stay! This was our first visit to Maui, and Kihei was definitely our speed. The management company had great communication and the unit was wonderful. Cabinets were full of different sizes of dishes. Plenty of laundry pods for us to wash our beach towels with! The hot water to the building never got very hot, unfortunately, but that is the only criticism I can think of.

1) The hosts are very timely in their responses and very clear when it comes to communication and expectations for their property. Very nice people and absolutely zero complaints. 2) The property is, in my opinion, in a perfect location. You are close to all your needs in the town, and only a short drive to the airport and neighboring towns. The view off the balcony is about as good as it gets. Not to mention a stones throw from a nice beach that is never too busy. 3) The unit itself is very clean and kept up well, this is however a unit where more than 2 people would get a bit awkward for sleeping. As individuals would need to sleep in the living room with little privacy, excellent for couples though. 4) Overall, this is a location I would not hesitate to book again, even over resorts in the area, and urge friends to stay at if they are in the area.

Sharon was amazing and communicated everything thoroughly and very timely. She didn’t leave a thing out and made things super easy. Her place was awesome. We had everything g we needed for a ten night stay including an amazing view of the ocean! Sitting on the Lanai in the morning was other worldly. The condo was set up perfectly with two bathrooms and two bedrooms. Beds were amazingly comfortable and there was a desk in one of the rooms that came in handy for work. We were there during the tsunami alert and had to evacuate. Sharon checked in on us to make sure we were safe and knew where to evacuate. What a sweetheart! Thank you for everything Sharon. Two last things, the Indian restaurant on site, Monsoon Bar and Grill, is amazing! And the beach and fishing pool was turtle central and amazing for kids. Turtles all day long and they would come to shore at sunset. So amazing.

The location of "Can't Get any Closer to the Ocean" was perfect! Nothing beats that view while sitting on the balcony, drinking coffee! The condo and the building were very clean, kitchen was stocked with everything you need, although we mostly used the outside grills (which were cleaned every morning!). Had a pretty comfortable stay here in July for a family of 6. The kitchen was well stocked, and had newer appliances that worked excellent. We did use the oven and wished there were foil sheets available. The coffee machine worked great and they provided filters for it. The shower in the master bathroom had amazing water pressure. The other shower had average pressure. The beds were a little more firm than what I like but were still comfortable enough for a good nights sleep and I also really liked the pillows provided.They had a great working washer and dryer that worked well and was higher capacity. The view was breathtaking in the evenings but in the day time the water looked rather brown and not something we wanted to swim in. The pool was set to a comfortable temperature and was mostly quiet. The condo grounds were well maintained and in a great central location. We were easily 10-30 minutes from most places we were going. A few extra's that were provided that I appreciated- They provided enough paper goods that lasted a week for 6 of us. There was a generous amount of beach towels, 5 beach chairs, 1 umbrella and coolers as well as ice packs.raid- we had bugs in our rental car and we were able to use the raid for that. lysol - for obvious reasonsflashlight- We arrived on the day of the tsunami warning so in preparation we found the flashlight and had it ready in case of a power outage.A few things they could use - A broom or swifter- I like the floors to feel clean and after a few days even with wiping our feet it really needed to be swept. There was a vacuum but it was not a very good one.All purpose cleaner spray- I used the stove but didn't really have anything to clean the splashed oil after using it. Chad is the greatest VRBO host on the planet. Out of 7 stays in Kihei in 8 years, this was by far our favorite one. Everything was modern and updated and every detail was thought of. There’s a great restaurant in the 1st floor (Monsoon) and the views of West Maui and the ocean are stunning.

Beautiful view and was clean…however there were some small roaches in the bathroom and I didn’t feel super comfortable after that!! They scurried under the sink when I turned the light on in the middle of the night…yuck! Luckily we have family here so we ended up not using it the second night. I understand it’s a warm climate and bugs will happen but it might be time for another spraying. I will probably choose something that doesn’t connect with so many people next time.

Perfect location and very well kept complex. The room was basic but all a person needs. The washer could be replaced as it does not clean the dishes very well, and the front door needs to be repaired as it does not seal at the bottom at all.

Sharon and her property are great! Easy to get to, easy to access (so great that the property has an elevator) comfortable and delightful furnishings - everything was super. Sharon's responsiveness to questions is the best and she has her home "stocked" so very well. Get to the unit before you make a store run. You may not need to purchase those condiments, etc, that you thought you might need! Great time!

Communication with host was good.Very well located.We never got the the parking permit because we got there after office closed and rest of the days we were out exploring and never got it, but no problem we always left a note. Hope it was easy for next visit and no have to worried about parking.

Everything went smoothly from check in to accommodations except that when the earthquake occurred in Russia and the tsunami warning sirens when off, it was some time until property manager reached out and the condo association only provided a map showing we were in the evacuation area, but not where we should go for higher ground. Being visitors to Maui this was quite confusing and anxiety producing.Oceanfront sunset views were wonderful! We are repeat visitors to Menehune Shores.

Check in was super easy. The kitchen is fully set with plates ,pots, silverware, some seasoning left from previous guest. The pool was very nice. We saw turtles daily. They have binoculars to look out at the water which was very nice. If you like Indian food the restaurant is very good(according to my kids) The one think I missed and was totally my fault is there is no air. At night it does get windy so that cools it off. They have plenty of fans . The view is amazing. The location of this condo is perfect distance from airport and things to do. You should rent a car to enjoy the island. There are beach chairs, cookers and beach toys also. Make sure you enjoy the sunset.

The good:Had everything we needed and more! It was great to have travel mugs, coolers, beach chairs available for our adventures Beds were comfy, linens were plentiful and clean. Proximity to walk to the beach and pool was great. Good location to get to all parts of the island quickly. Good access to nearby shops & restaurants Not necessarily a pro/con, more of an observation, there were rules posted EVERYWHERE. Not just in the condo but throughout the property as well. Never just felt comfortable to just relax without the fear of breaking a rule, especially at the pool. Overall a good stayThe bad:We had a bit of a hiccup with our stay as the AC went out before check in and were given the option to stay or be relocated to another property. We decided to stay with a discount. The open windows helped with the heat, was cool at night but a bit stuffy during the day. Place was clean though the bathrooms were a bit outdated and didn’t look as clean. The shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers were broken (there was no sign) and we didn’t know. Some old stale water came out of them that was stinky/rancid. There were mini bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash on the counter we could use. There were small ants everywhere so we had to put everything away to keep them out of stuff. This may have been seasonal but there was construction right outside of our bedroom window with loud trucks and excavators starting up at 5am. Just beware if you’re a light sleeper.

We had a wonderful Maui Vacation at this condo. The location was centralized on the West Coast of Maui so you can get anywhere on the island very easily and is a quick trip to the airport or the resort area of Wailea. The property owners were fantastic. Checking on us prior to check in and helping out with multiple request such as providing a needed air mattress and allowing us a late check out due to a later flight departure. Overall a wonderful time at an extremely accommodating and very nice condo with a beautiful sunset view.

We really enjoyed staying at Menehune Shores - the unit & building were in great condition, it was right on the beach, and was centrally located to go sightseeing all over Maui. We enjoyed breakfast/lunch on the balcony & watching the canoes going out for the day through the rock wall. I was a little concerned about how effective the room AC units would be (since I'm used to central a/c), but we stayed completely comfortable the entire time. We came with extended family & rented 2 other units which were also nice - just pay attention to which ones have been updated. 405 was great- updated & clean. Parking spots were tight for the suburban-size vehicle we had, but fine for the more standard size car that my brother rented. We always found a spot too. Overall we thought it was a great location & value, & would definitely stay again!

My husband, preteen daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. The location makes getting around easy and everything was very clean (there was only a little toilet paper in one bathroom when we got there, so we had to go to the store soon after arriving, so grab some on the way). The beach right in front of condo is a much smaller area than I was expecting, but we found some great beaches nearby. The view from the condo is exactly as pictured and made for peaceful morning coffee time. We would stay here again.
