The reviews were very accurate on this property. On approach it looked pretty plain but don’t be fooled. The view from the second story condo on the other side was spectacular at all times of the day! We absolutely had to be in the condo at sunset. You could take a picture every two minutes and have a different shot! The condo was clean. The kitchen well stocked! So many extra beach toys stored on the balcony!’ I was pleasantly surprised that there was a portable two way mirror that helped me so I could sit down to put on makeup! I personally didn’t find the bed very comfortable but I have back issues and I think it would be fine for most people! Extra pillows helped. One of the perks I didn’t read in the reviews was that there was a screen cover inside of the sliding glass doors, screen doors outside of the sliding glass doors and also an electric screen that can come down out on the outer edge of the patio to block the sun if desired. (We didn’t need that!). It was so great to have air conditioning in the condo. It did get a little warm in the afternoon. The washer and dryer aren’t in the unit but they’re close in the breezeway on the lower level and they’re next to the security office so it feels very secure. And the machines take credit cards. (We didn’t need them but I noticed them) Parking was always available. Lots of places close by to eat and get groceries. One night we even drove to Costco and got a $10 pizza!! We thoroughly enjoyed staying here! You will too!

My husband and I stayed after getting married in Wailea. The communication with our hosts was great, we were happily impressed by the condo all around— everything we may need was there and then some. The neighbors were friendly, and there were love birds gathering everyday in front of the patio which was an adorable sight. Everything I like for a comfortable stay, this place had. Bed, water pressure, a/c all as advertised and better. The view was beautiful, would definitely stay again. Thank you Joseph and Roopa!

The location of the condo unit is fabulous. Located steps from the ocean, with wonderful views from the balcony to watch sunsets. The unit is extremely well kept, very clean, and with everything you would need to enjoy your vacation. The grass and pool area is very easy to access and very relaxing. The building is centrally located in Kihei allowing easy access to travel anywhere on the island. Jane is an excellent host and was very responsive to all of our communications with her. We would definitely stay here again !

The view is a 10. Open the sliders and let the ocean waves put you to sleep in the main bedroom. The kitchen has been renovated and is functional. The unit location was close to church, the gym, the grocery store, and several restaurants and food trucks. Unfortunately the unit itself is tired and needs TLC. The kitchen is stocked with just a bare minimum. You will need to bring your own Tupperware to store leftovers. And don’t forget your potholders and BBQ utensils as they aren’t in stock. The electrical outlets throughout are sparse and lack GFCI in the kitchen and bathrooms. The furniture is worn and the throw pillows have tears. The tv and cable box are located in an awkward locations. Several of the window shutters don’t open or close. Don’t forget to bring trash bags, soap, dishwashing soap, or paper towels as a bare minimum are provided. And note, the unit does not provide beach things. With a little TLC and updating, this could be a nice place. Unfortunately the unit doesn’t compare to its lanai view.

I love that immediately upon entering you can drop your stuff in the bedrooms and see whales out the balcony doors! The owner has binoculars on the tv stand that were amazing for whale watching from the unit. Also available were beach chairs, cooler, and beach umbrella, so handy! Laundry is not in the unit, but coin laundry available. The pool is small but perfect for cooling down or for kids to play. You are right on the beach and walking distance from restaurants and entertainment. There is a grocery store a short distance away. We had no problems with air conditioning. There are 3 AC units in the condo and we’re more than ample for cooling. Overall, I would definitely go back and recommend this unit.

We could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay for my wife’s 50th birthday trip. Literally the first day we walked out back looked across from the patio with the ocean and saw whales jumping. The view was phenomenal. The room was perfect. Everything was awesome. My family truly enjoyed our stay. It had everything we needed plus extras such as beach chairs which were an awesome addition. Steps away from the beach. We walked to restaurants and coffee shops as well. Our teens were in the back bedroom with two single beds and their own bathroom. And my husband and I in the master with our own bathroom as well. From the moment we stepped out on to the balcony our daily stresses melted away.
While the building is a bit older we had everything we needed. It was clean and very comfortable. Soft, comfortable bed, cozy yet spacious living area, nice kitchen, and even had backpack beach chairs, ice chest, beach towels, and a boogie board!
There is a beautiful sparkling pool as well but never needed since the beach here was calm and warm 😀
The owners and management were gracious hosts!
We cant wait to come back, I can't think of anywhere else we would stay.

The owners of this unit should be required to fix it up. Walls are bashed and in need of fresh paint, furniture is old and outdated and kitchen supplies are of the cheapest quality. The bathroom is in its original (60 year old??) condition and needs a renovation. We would stay at this condominium complex again but definitely not at this unit. Our friends stayed in another unit in the complex and it was lovely.

We loved the Hale Kai O Kihei property because of its convenient location, and smaller size. It is an older property, but has been well cared for. Because of the smaller size, the property is quiet and it is easy to park close to your unit. The interior remodel was beautifully done and every furnishing and bit of decor works together to create a relaxed beach feel.

This condo is dated, but for us, it was comfortable. There is no AC in the sleeping area and without a fan it took some work to cool the bedroom area, but this also made the livingroom area quite cold. Fortunately, outdoor temps at night were in the 60's most nights. The stair well lights shine right down onto the bed in the bedroom and it can be noisy if you have the windows open.

My wife and I loved this property. The location could not be better with unbelievable sunsets every day! The condo has everything you need and is very spacious with the living room and a separate bedroom. There are beach chairs, coolers and most everything you need for the beach which is just outside the condo. There are a lot of great restaurants that are within walking distance. The owner, Joe, was very responsive and everything was first class. We would highly recommend this property for a great time in Maui.

We stayed in this condo for 5 nights for our honeymoon. The unit was modern, clean, and well maintained. It is stocked with anything you may need during your stay - beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, towels, soap, spices, coffee etc. It is in a great central location to drive anywhere on the island but also has some great shops and restaurants nearby. The complex is quiet but fun with the residents often having various get togethers and activities that travelers are invited to. The sunsets on the lanai each night cannot be beat and you have close access to a beautiful beach. Highly recommend this condo for a couple looking to relax and enjoy all Maui has to offer.

We enjoyed 8 days watching the whales, turtles and sunsets right from the Lanai. This property has beautiful relaxing views from the 3rd floor, hard to leave here it was so peaceful! We enjoyed walking the beach daily and just relaxing. Located within walking distance to great restaurants and grocery store, not even a 1/2 block. Very comfy bed and pillows. It has a well stocked kitchen. Nice umbrella, beach chairs and couple of beach towels came in handy. Bring your water shoes or Walmart is 20 min. away. We donated a pair of binoculars for guest to enjoy whale and turtle watching. Green sea turtles come up on the beach each day and spend nights just down the beach toward the bay. We would definitely stay here again. Good responsive communication with management, thank you!

We stayed at this amazing Hale o Kai Kihei condo in Feb, and it was perfection. The building is location on a quiet street, but is so close to many amazing restaurants, and a huge grocery store. The condo itself had an amazing view of the water where we would watch whales while we had morning coffee. The condo itself was updated and beautiful. the king bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was large with soft towels, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you'd need to cook at home. we loved sitting on the lanai every morning for sunrise, and to see the sunset each evening. it was a perfect short get away. You’d be hard pressed to find a better location, in my opinion. So close to AMAZING restaurants. The views are unbeatable!! We LOVED whale watching and the sunsets!!! For my husband and I it was a wonderful getaway! There could have been more towels, both hand towels in bathroom and there weren’t any towels at all in the kitchen for drying dishes or wiping down counters except for paper towels, which seemed odd and could have been overlooked by cleaning staff. Overall highly recommended and would definitely return in the future!!

They say location is everything in real estate. The same applies true to this condo. The location of this unit is one of the best for sunsets from your own lanai. The overall complex is quiet, well maintained, and adjacent to a great beach where you might even see turtles on the sand. The unit is comfortable for 2 people and this was our third time staying here. Unfortunately, the new owners have made some changes that we did not find to be an improvement. The bathroom remodel removed most of the counter space and all the storage. There is a wire towel holder that they placed by the sink but it does not include a solid surface so there is no place to put your personal items. Also, they removed the dresser from the bedroom and there is no place to unpack your clothes other than hanging them. The nightstands were small tables that also did not include any drawer space. The sliding glass door to the lanai is quite outdated and hard to slide. The louvered windows to either side don’t open to let breezes in. These really could use an update to improve the experience.
Roopa, the owner was responsive and helpful and even brought us clean sheets and towels halfway through our 10 night stay. She also helped us with a late checkout which was much appreciated.

As noted by another guest, you will have to pay 100% of
the rental fee at the time of booking (we have never had to do this before). We booked a year in advance.

We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. The location and view are fantastic. The beach is right here and there are lots of good restaurants and bars nearby and a grocery store just a block away. The unit was clean and well equipped (but could use hot pads and new wash cloths). The bed was very comfortable. The weather was so nice that we didn't need to use the air conditioner, but every appliance we used functioned well. And thanks for providing beach chairs.

We really enjoyed our stay in this 3rd floor unit. Our priority in lodging is a real Ocean Front view, and it was the best we have ever had. The location was very convenient to Kihei restaurants, grocery store, beaches, and turtle watching. We saw many whales from our lanai. We actually slept on the sofa bed to enjoy the view and the sound of the surf. The furnishings were more than adequate. AA Oceanfront Rentals were great to deal with, and kept in touch to make sure we were happy.
