We loved everything about this place and our stay.
The building, and especially this unit, has the most amazing views. We stayed during peak time and the property still wasn’t jam packed like some of the others ones. Our kids spent lots of time in the pool and often had the pool to themselves. The beach out back was also very relaxed and less busy than some of the others.
The locations was perfect for all of the activities we did.
Christine and Pam were great when we dealt with multiple flight changes and were so accommodating about check in and check out. Their kind and flexible approach truly made such a difference for our vacation and we couldn’t thank them enough.

The view from this condo is priceless! . Inside it is very comfortable and modern with everything you need, We were especially grateful for the beach chairs and umbrella. The complex is small and very friendly and within each walking distance of restaurants and shops. The beach is ideal to stroll along any time of day, and there are plenty of other beaches to explore a short drive away. Would definitely recommend and stay again,

The beach outside isn't really for swimming (a bit rocky), but the views from this 2nd floor unit were exactly what I wanted. And the beach is great for walking at sundown, & looking for turtles at dawn. We also found some turtle nesting areas a little north of the unit... so cool! (They don't hatch til Nov).
We VERY much appreciated the w/d in unit (it does make it hot in the 2nd bedroom & bathroom, so turn the dryer on as you are leaving for a few hours). We loved having A/C, even though we only needed it in the afternoons for a bit. Parking here was easy, which didn't seem to be the case at other properties.
My recommendations: Don't miss Ululani's Shaved Ice (we became obsessed with the unique Li Hing Mui powder after that). Admire the peacock who hangs out on Nohokai Street. Spend a cool & peaceful afternoon at the Botanical Garden in Kula. Learn Stand Up Paddleboarding with Ken Crasse (we met him at Makena Landing) and hit Jazzy's foodtruck afterwards. Look for the elusive Green Flash every sundown from the patio. And definitely go snorkeling with the marine biologists at Ocean Project Maui, it was the highlight of our trip!

My family and I loved our stay here! The unit is clean and comfortable, and the view of the ocean through the sliding glass doors and from the lanai is amazing. The location is great. You can walk right to the beach and to many good restaurants. It was always quiet, and other guests/residents were very polite. My daughter enjoyed having pool access. Everything in the apartment is well organized, especially the kitchen--which is the most functional one we have ever used in a rental. Check-in and check-out process were simple, and communication from the manager was clear and prompt. This is a great place to stay in Kihei!

I’d never stayed in a condo before, so the smaller footprint of Hale Kai O’Kihei was appealing. The location was perfect! The unit was clean, the beds comfy, and the view SPECTACULAR. My achy back didn’t like the living room furniture for lounging, but the space would be practical for additional beds.

The complex was built is 1969, but the unit has been remodeled keeping with a beach retro theme. The unit was extremely clean, well stocked with necessities, conveniently located to a grocery store, restaurants and other shopping. The beach view from the living room/lanai was outstanding. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful. Will definitely book when we return to Maui again.

Staying at this condo was wonderful! The location can't be beat - there's shopping and restaurants within walking distance, it doesn't take too long to get to anywhere else on the island you'd like to go, and the beach right at the condo is so nice! We sat out on the lanai and watched whales breaching while we ate instead of going out to restaurants for most meals. We'd definitely stay here again if/when we come back to Maui.

This condo in Kihei is superb! It suited our family very well and was beautiful inside. The view from the balcony was amazing! This location is great since it is out of the "downtown" Kihei bustle but close enough to go to dinner. Property management was great and responsive. Just what our family needed.

We traveled with our kids to Maui for the holidays and selected this condo as home for ten days!! Everything was fantastic as was the customer service from Christina and Pam. Our flights were cancelled prior to arriving and Pam allowed us to add a day to our trip to make up for the missed time.
The condo itself was perfect for our family of four. I’m not sure there is a better view of the ocean anywhere else on the island! The condo was incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed for making meals.
We packed a lot into the stay so we didn’t actually spend much time at our own beach but we did walk it in the evenings and saw sea turtles resting on the beach and whales jumping in the distance.
Special thanks again to Cristina and Pam for making our trip perfect! We would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a relaxing beach front experience in Maui!!

This was our 4th year in Kihei for Thanksgiving and we had such an excellent stay at Hale Kai. The condo is stunning with beautiful high end finishes. The layout is excellen. . . and the view! It almost looked like a green screen when we arrived. The sliders open wide to the lanai and it is truly paradise all around.
The mattresses were excellent and we slept amazingly. The location is top notch and central to so many things in Kihei. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance: Nalu’s, Miso Phat, and Maui Pie were our favs.
The beach is wonderful and we saw two sea turtles basking while we were there! The pool is small and nice. Great for a cool off.

The kitchen was nicely stocked and we enjoyed use of the washer/dryer. The view can't be beat and we found the beach just off the property to be lovely. The property is well maintained and quiet. The stocked chest on the balcony was such a great surprise, we enjoyed use of the beach chairs, umbrella and beach toys. We left behind pool floaties for the next occupants. We normally stay in Kahana, but really enjoyed exploring Kihei and would love to come back. If so, we would book this condo again. Thanks for maintaining such a wonderful oasis!

A redone condo that looked just like pictures. Couldn’t ask for nicer look on inside with well appointed kitchen, etc. Beach was nice and not crowded. Did however have few negatives that truly affected our stay. AC was good inside but as expected, the door had to be completely shut to the lanai to make it stay on. The lanai was very small and hard for 4 people to sit out. The AC unit exterior part would blow hot air on at least two people sitting at table no matter how you turned chairs. Not pleasant for two couples wanting to sit out. Also there was a washer and dryer as stated. There was note on dryer telling you that it would take 3 drying to get a load dry. Then it wasn’t dry. Very inconvenient even with pay dryers downstairs. Was our second week in Maui and we did have laundry to do.
The location was convenient, and you could even walk to a grocery store. Very few people around so no noise, etc. If owner fixed the two major problems above, would really have been delightful. If didn’t really plan to use the lanai, could give a better rating.

We had a wonderful vacation and loved the rental. The unit is 100% brand new and close to a grocery store which is so convenient. My husband and 2 teen boys stayed for 8 days and will be back again. The beach is clean and empty and is right outside. It is so quiet and just a perfect spot. We cooked a lot but also went to local restaurants in the area. It is even better than the pictures online. 5 stars for sure!

The location of this property was perfect, directly on the beach and easy access to restaurants and shopping and centrally located for all the adventures Maui has to offer, from the Iao Valley to surf lessons at Kalama Park to the Road to Hana. This home had everything we needed and we enjoyed every minute of it!

The property was as described. The location is centrally located to a variety of beaches up and down the coast and popular tourist attractions. It is also conveniently located to grocery stores and restaurants. The unit is furnished with typical kitchen and bathroom supplies, enough to meet most needs. Christine, the property manager, responded quickly to all questions and was verity pleasant to work with. I highly recommend this property for a stay on the island.

This place was perfect for our family of 4. The second bedroom had two twin beds and was perfect for our toddler boys. The condo was nicely remodeled and exactly as described and even better than the pics. Fully stocked kitchen and beach accessories (toys, chairs, umbrellas). It had an amazing view and sunset every night. Good location to Kihei shopping centers and restaurants (short walk).
The property is located in front of a beach-Not the best for surfing or snorkeling but great to run around in with the kids!
Only downfalls were the pool is kinda small and there was no jacuzzi. Wish the condo had a tub for the kids but we made it work with the showers.
Definitely would stay here again in a heartbeat. Our whole family loved it!

Beautifully updated condo right on the beach (only a short grassy area with palm trees separates beach from condo). Gorgeous sunsets every night among the palms right on the water just south of Lanai. Quiet and convenient to north, west, and south beaches and upcountry.

We absolutely loved our stay in Kihei. The property manager was so easy to get in contact with and quickly addressed our issue. My 1 year old daughter joined us and she loved to walk out on the balcony but the railing scared us. We contacted them and they quickly came out and put up a fence so she could go out on the balcony. They hadn’t realized how old she was when we booked it otherwise they would have put it up right away.
The newly renovated property is absolutely beautiful. We loved the beach. And they had plenty of beach items on the balcony for us - including chairs, a cooler, and beach toys for our daughter. We even saw sea turtles sleeping on the beach in the evening. It was an incredible experience that we’ll never forget.
The property is located close to a grocery store and an amazing pie store - Maui Pie. I highly recommend stopping by.
Overall I highly recommend this property. We had an absolutely memorable experience.

Quiet location, beautiful & fully equipped unit, on a lovely beach.
It really does match the photos. It also has almost everything you could want or need on your vacation. I normally carry a lot of items with me that are almost always missing from vacation rental properties. In this case I didn't need any of it.
Given a few comments in other reviews about homeless people in the area we were a bit worried but there were no issues at all . Nothing like areas of O'ahu!

This is our 4th stay on Maui, 1st time staying in Kihei. Great location with a short drive to anything you need. Perfect sunset views, quiet complex.
2nd bedroom was hard to cool, kids ended up sleeping on the couch. Wasn’t a big deal, we did not report the issue.

We always stay at this condo complex but this was the first time in this unit. This unit has been completely renovated with impeccable taste. We were so happy with everything overall we didn’t want to leave. What a little gem! We will certainly be back Again! Our family had the best time and enjoyed perfect dinner sunsets in the lanai every night.

This place was perfect for our weeklong stay. My husband and I have been to Maui several times before, but this time we brought my mother. We wanted to stay just far enough away from the touristy area where all the resorts are, but still close enough to everything we wanted to do. We are divers, so it was a easy drive to the harbor, we did some hiking in Haleakala, the RTH and even picked up a surf lesson. This place was the perfect fit and great location.
The condo has a gorgeous oceanfront view and was beautifully updated. The beds were super comfy and he my mom wanting to bring the mattress home with her.
There were ants when we arrived, but aunt bait had been left out and they seemed to dwindle throughout our time there. So just don’t leave food out and you’ll be fine.
The property manager was easy to get in contact with if we needed anything (which we didn’t) and she even sent a few follow up emails which we found reassuring.
The second bedroom with 2 twins is on the smaller side, so probably best for kids, but it suited my mother perfectly.
Don’t hesitate this is a super cute condo and you should book it as soon as you see it because I’m sure it won’t last long.
