Really nicely laid out unit. Always a view of the waves! We enjoyed the beach and the grass before the beach and had fun playing shuffleboard on top of that. That one was a new one for us. Only negative isn't the owner's fault, but there is a rooster across the street who likes to let everyone know that it will be dawn in about 3 hours. Highly recommend for families and especially young kids. The water is very shallow for a very long way. Good house communication would not hesitate to recommend.

The lanai is the best part of the unit! Spectacular views of the sunsets and loads of whales. It’s quiet and relaxing. The unit has been nicely remodeled with everything we needed. Mahalo Nui!

Wonderful accommodations, close to food stores and eateries. Beautiful sunsets and occasional whale sightings. My wife is 5' tall and could have used a little kitchen step stool, but then, she had me. Aloha!

Excellent! The unit well is maintained and equipped. Everything is in great condition. The location is perfect - walkable to shops and dining. It is right on a beautiful beach, that was perfect for my morning swim. The views are unforgetable. We hope to return soon, and often.
We did not need to contact the hosts because nothing went wrong, but we are very grateful that they provided such a wonderful place to stay.

I am originally from Maui and moved to Hilo, Hawaii a few years ago. I was visiting friends for the weekend and this was the perfect condo for me. It was all as described and much more. The location, views, serenity, and comfort were stellar. The remodel, furnishings, and decor are impressive. I will book again on my next visit to Maui.

The location was absolutely beautiful. The view from the balcony looks like a postcard. The condo was beautifully appointed, very clean and updated, comfortable and the perfect size for two of us. Everything you need is there, including a hair dryer and clothes steamer. The location was between everything we wanted to do... A decent drive to the west end (Lahaina) and near Wailea. There's a lot of amenities nearby, too. Walking distance to a grocery store. For anyone concerned about the Lahaina fire destruction, there is still a lot of the island to see. Locals said they depend on tourism, and they want to have tourists there and need our support. Staying in a condo vs a resort is another way to support this community.

Beach was so pretty and very family friendly ans you can walk so far out and still be waist deep. We absolutely loved everything about it and would not want to stay anywhere else when we come back. This condo was incredible! The location was perfect: oceanfront, off the main road in a quiet complex, but within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The condo itself was up-to-date, beautifully decorated, and with a fully stocked kitchen for anyone wishing to cook.
The owner went above and beyond to welcome us with local treats and a binder with information about the area. Our communication with the owner before our arrival was great, as we had a few concerns coming so soon after the devastating wildfires.
We're so glad we decided to come; this condo helped to make our Maui vacation unforgettable. Absolutely perfect for a couple!

Everything was as advertised. Balcony has a view of the ocean and has easy access to the beach. There was lots of parking and easy to find. Joe's place has everything you need. Bonus is the washer and dryer! He was easy to communicate with and check in was easy. Would recommend staying here!

Joe’s condo is really beautiful - the attention to detail is really incredible to the design of the remodel, the interior design, and the thought that went in to the amenities available. Really well-stocked kitchen with nice equipment, incredibly comfortable bed, nice linens, super comfortable good-looking furniture. Lots of care went into this condo. Joe is a great communicator as well. Not to mention the great views right on a private swimmable beach, situated on a quiet street. Really an optimum stay in Kihei - couldn’t be better. Thanks Joe!

This stay was the highlight of our trip to Hawaii! Joe's place was exactly as described. Clean, bright, modern, cozy and it had everything we needed and more.
The view is unbeatable and the place is quiet. Loved waking up to the sounds of the waves and wind.

We have stayed in a lot of different rental units, and unit 218 was truly the very best! I cannot say enough about this unit. I would not stay anywhere else on the island. Hale Kai checks all the boxes! The view from the lanai cannot be beat. The beach access is right behind the unit, there is also a beautiful grassy area, patio and swimming pool. The bed is so comfortable and so is the pull out. My teenagers were pleasantly surprised! The kitchen is gorgeous with new appliances, the linens and towels are high quality and so comfortable. There is space for your items, suitcases and anything else! There are great beach chairs and beach towels and other beach necessities located on the lanai.
We loved relaxing in the unit at night! Big TV comfy furniture.
Access to the grocery store is around the corner within walking distance, a cute coffee shop and many other food places. Joe has provided a binder with suggested things to do, places to eat etc. Wailea is a short drive away and another fun area to check out along with Kihei!
If we are so lucky up get back to Maui we will definitely stay at Hale Kai unit 18 again!

The decor, the attention to small details, the furniture, and all of the items you could possibly need while on vacation and then some. Working with Joe was easy and we always received quick responses during our booking process. This unit is exactly as pictured, even more beautiful in person. The views are amazing. It’s hard to not want to be on the balcony taking it all in all day long. The beach felt private and the complex is quiet and friendly. We loved listening to the waves any time we could and the sunsets and quiet mornings were beautiful and peaceful. The complex is within walking distance to food and shopping. The space was big enough for our family of three. I would recommend this unit to anyone who is looking to stay in the area. The unit is brand new and everything in the unit is brand new. From the kitchen appliances to the linens everything is top of the line, modern, and very nice. The bed and the pull out bed were incredibly comfortable. We enjoyed sleeping on the pull out bed and listening to the waves all night. The air conditioning made the afternoons comfortable and we enjoyed cooling off. The unit is in walking distance to so many restaurants and the beach feels private and is very nice. We were able to see turtles and enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the patio I am soooo happy that we booked this unit and my family and I will definitely be back. You will not regret booking this unit. It was incredible and the host was very accommodating! It is a gem!

Location, Location, Location! This beautiful, large condo is on the ocean. See and hear the ocean from the living room. Sit on the couch and watch the waves or sit on the patio and watch the waves. Walk to the beach and put your feet in the sand / swim/ watch the sunset/ watch the giant turtles swim and crawl up to rest.
The condo is set back off the main room so the area feels secluded and is quiet.
