First I’d like to thank Marty for his quick response to our problem unlocking the door on our arrival. He was able to get us access to the unit and when he opened the door, all we could say was WOW. All we could see was a direct ocean view from the fully updated condo. One of the best condos we have stayed in during our many visits to Maui. The views from the lanai were just amazing. We saw whales and sea turtles nearly everyday and the sunsets were picturesque. The condo is well stocked with everything you need from kitchen to beach accessories. Just bring your suitcase, unpack and have a wonderful vacation. I highly recommend this condo unit.

This was our 4th or 5th stay at Kaleialoha. We love being on the third or fourth floor where we can sit out on the lanai throughout the day and watch the sea turtles and whales. Even better that is a corner unit. Having stayed in multiple units, #304 seemed the most worn and in need of TLC. Both the carpet and sofa seemed old and in need of deep cleaning or preferably replacement. We were also disappointed that a side chair shown in the photos had been removed with no replacement. One of the features I typically look at when selecting a rental is the quantity and style of seating. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and I appreciate that you can enjoy the view while working in the kitchen. Overall, we know this is an older building and do not expect high end accommodations because the trade off of being truly ocean front, the view of both Lanai and Molokai, the quiet community of Honokawaii and watching sea turtles or whales is worth the trade off. We definitely recommend considering a stay at Kaleialoha but be aware of the pros and cons and your personal preferences.

The view! The view! 30 feet from the ocean. Nothing more relaxing than listening to the ocean waves, watching them roll in and the beautiful sunshine. This place is lovely- well appointed with amenities of home. It was home away from home - except better weather! Location is close to shops, stores and sightseeing with beaches close by. It’s been 30 years since we were last in Maui, Lahaina our always go to vacation spot for many years. This unit was the way I remember Maui, beach front, waves crashing and a perfect location just up island from Kaanapali. This beautiful suite is perfectly appointed with pretty much everything you would have at home. Air conditioning? It’s there for sure but having the double LR sliding doors open and bedroom windows and the breeze is perfect…all you can hear are the waves crashing. Want to snorkel? All the equipment is there with a multitude of turtles literally right outside your room. Maui doesn’t get better than this. A big Mahalo for making our stay the best in many years…we WILL be back. Upon arrival we found brown stains on the toilet and the hair dryer, John responded really fast and sent someone to clean it. Some kitchen utensils also don’t look clean. Overall ok with the price.

Ocean front unit which was nice however there was no good access point to get into the water. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, adequate linens. No air conditioning in the bedroom so found it to be quite warm/stuffy even with the floor and overhead fans. Wasn't walkable for us to restaurants, bars or beaches with water access so that was unfortunate. Pool area was nice but didn't get much sun, pool was on the cooler side. The building is quite old but well kept as was the apartment both however could use a refresh. We feel that for what we paid it was a fair.

Stayed here for one week, the view is absolutely amazing and can’t be beat, also just a great location in general. The building is definitely older but this unit has been remodeled. They have beach chairs, beach blanket and an umbrella, cooler etc…ready to use. The only call out I’d have is they didn’t really have any shampoo, conditioner and body wash, so make sure to bring your own. It’s nice to have laundry in the unit as well. Will absolutely be staying here again!

We loved our time here. Perfect little condo with great views and sounds of the ocean. I was actually closer than we thought it would be from the pictures. Each morning we'd see sea turtles out in the water.
It was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the natural cross-breeze when opening the windows.

ok some of the furniture was old & outdated. bedroom had garbage under bed from previous stay? not sure how long it has been there. Only 1 wine glass so bought 4 new ones to leave at the property. They were 7.00 at ross not a bad price . No beach acess but beaches were close by. Bedroom tv inop. Not a big deal but still it did not work no cable connection.

The entire facility was very nice. The only complaint is that despite the air conditioning, the bedroom stayed very hot. We used the fans, turned the air down, nothing helped. If the sofa had been a pull, out, we would have slept there - it was so hot in the bedroom!

Unit was small, comfortable and well stocked with all needs for a beach visit and cooking. The only drawback was that the AC was a wall unit at one end while the bedroom was at the other. Management gave us a large floor fan which helped lower the bedroom temperature. We rented our older discounted car from Kihei Car Rental which was super efficient. Recommended.

The condo is beautiful and faces the ocean. There’s a nice lanai that we spent a lot of our time on where we saw lots of turtles. The bedding was so comfortable! However, we were disappointed when we realized the “AC” was just a swamp cooler in the living room. The bedroom is too far away for the AC to reach, so it was HOT. AC was one of the key reasons we rented this specific condo. The internet would go out 90% of the time so it was useless. It was nice, but a little overpriced. I would definitely stay again if the price came down.

Wonderful condo location right on the water. You can walk out to it and enjoy the view. There is swimming access, but no real beach. Peacful buidling that doesnt feel crowded at all. There's a heated pool as well. The kitchen has all the ammenities of home and there are two big TVs, AC, fans, a couch, etc. Some beach gear is availbale to borrow abd the condo complex has paid laundry facoloties to use. Simply amazing.

Honokowai is our favorite location to stay in Maui. Less crowded than Kaanapali with close access to great snorkel sites and a short drive to Lahaina for restaurants and groceries. Our unit faced the ocean and had a spectacular view. The reef that runs along the coast in front of the complex was one of our favorite snorkeling adventures. We encountered several turtles up close and lots of fish and the water entrance was easy. The rental had nice decor and all the kitchen necessities were there for cooking and eating in which we did for most of the trip. Our only disappointment was that there was no AC in the bedroom and kitchen essentials such as steak knives were of somewhat cheaper quality. I felt the unit and complex were a good value and I would highly recommend it and stay there again.
