The Kulakane is amazing! You can’t beat the views the privacy and the feeling of being right on the ocean. They are perfect for a getaway trip with family or just a husband and wife. They are located in the perfect spot where you don’t have to travel far to do any excursions. Plenty of shops beaches and restaurants near. I will recommend anyone traveling to Maui to stay at the Kulakane!

We snorkeled right in front of the property, but the beach is tiny so not good for just hanging out on the sand. There is a public park with bigger beach a couple of blocks away. Condo was great, well stocked, and the property manager very available and responsive. A/C in the bedroom, nice cross-breeze in the living room by opening front and back doors. The MOST comfortable bed! Best sleep ever!

Spent our Spring Break here and had a wonderful time. Overall property is older and a bit dated but the condo was as advertised in the photos. Very clean and practical. We loved spending time by the pool and on the balcony looking out over the ocean. Saw turtles nearly everyday which was super cool. Location is ideal for West Maui. Visited several beaches and never had to drive more than 10 minutes. Plenty of restaurants in the immediate area, including a few within a five minute walk, although we really enjoyed having the kitchen. All in all we had a great time in Maui and the condo was a big part of that. Would recommend to everyone.

This was a perfect location for exploring west Maui. There is an amazing oceanfront view of the ocean. We saw turtles swimming everyday and even whales in the distance. The condo was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. It was a great set up for a family of four with two teenagers. We could walk to several restaurants and the food trucks and many beaches were a short drive away. We had a lot of privacy and it was a nice way to end our action packed days with a gorgeous sunset on the balcony. We would stay here again.

Highlights: great views of whales, responsive managment, clean!Considerations: walk-up 2 stories, some road noise (ok with earplugs)The grounds were well maintained and the interior was nicely remodeled. The views across to Lanai and Molokai were excellent. Since it was Humpback whale season, the highlight was watching them from the balcony. As others noted, turtles are often feeding around the rocky reef just offshore and really fun to watch.The condo was quite clean when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked for preparing meals, with an induction cooktop, oven, pans, tools. I especially want to compliment the responsiveness of the management company when I asked them about a worn-out non-stick pan and faulty toaster. They were pleasant and had replacements to me within a few hours!The design of the unit includes louvers that open on both east and west, so you can get wonderful breeze through the unit. (This also lets in some dust, but there are brooms and dustpans and the smooth tile floor is very easy to keep clean.) Even with it open all day, the A/C was strong enough to get it cool for pleasant sleep. Beds were comfortable.Other practicalities: - Laundry is on the property (not in unit), clean, and can be paid for with an app.- The pool is small but clean and pleasant.- The unit is a 3rd floor walkup, king brm upstairs.- Parking was easy.- Shopping is nearby. Instacart can delivery within an hour.- Some road noise at night, esp lower bedroom (twins).

Oh my gosh!! What a perfect location and wonderful condo to spend our week on Maui!! The ocean was directly outside our lanai with only grass, Hawaiian hibiscus, and palms between us and the seawall! The pool was perfect! Turtles napping on the sand on the left of the property and swimming just past the seawall! The condo was perfect, clean, plenty of linen, pillows, and dishes. The king bed was wonderful…so comfortable! The location was great. Our favorite snorkel beaches within a 15 minute drive, a short walk to coffee, ABC store, food trucks, and a grocery store! The best sushi to the north and an iconic bar/restaurant to the south! We didn’t bring or little Grandboys this time, but their favorite beach with a playground was an extremely close walk! Also, we loved participating in the sunset Conch ceremony!! I felt like I was home again! Thank you Debbie!

Our host was amazing and great at communicating and accommodating, and he needs we had. The place was set up perfectly and very clean and had all the amenities we needed. We dealt with a blackout that had nothing to do with the owner and were able to still enjoy our stay there. We loved it there and would go back many times more.

Exactly as expected. I was shocked how easy it was to check in, get access, check out. I was concerned about previous mentions of "mean neighbors regarding kids". However, I found quite the opposite. One neighbor brought out a surfboard and gave my kids impromptu surf lessons. Location was great for beach access and walkable distance to food trucks. AC was really key for us as well. Loved each day so much, my daughter cried as we walked out the door.

Aloha, and Mahalo to the owners of KK310 for letting us stay at your beautiful place. We stayed for 9 days and could have stayed longer.Everything that is listed on the listing is correct, this place was amazing from the moment we walked in. There was just my wife and I so we had plenty of room, we have seen the inside of a couple other units and this one was the best. The upper bedroom is a loft with a full bath (that's where we slept) there is a large ceiling fan to help circulate the air, there is AC (which many units don't have) but we love to keep the doors open and get the fresh air and the sounds of the waves.There is a full kitchen with all you need (pans, dishes, blender ECT). The view is amazing with sunsets every night and while eating breakfast on the patio we would watch sea turtles swimming in front. There is a couple nice grills which we cooked steak and lobster on. For the bad, if you have a hard time with stairs this is on the 3rd floor so be prepared (better views), the frontage of the property has a sea wall but there are two small beaches on each side, this is a decent spot to snorkel because there are fish and many turtles. The best beach is a five minute drive up the road. We recommend the sunset cruise, we did it twice and I wanted to go again (especially with the one free special) FYI, take your own pictures they come out better than the photographers.We highly recommend this unit and would love to come back. I came to Maui for a family emergency and I was genuinely pleased with the property. I have stayed at Kulakane many times before in other units. My parents live across the street so convenient access to their home is vital! I loved that the pool has been finished finally. ;) The bed is so comfortable and I really appreciate the closet area with extra storage. Woke up to beautiful ocean views every day. There was a fair amount of construction on the sea wall during my stay and at one point the water was turned off. I never contacted MPP but the property manager was extremely responsive to concerns and they were handled immediately. Twice the smoke detectors in other units were needing to be replaced!! The beeping was loud and they stopped it both times. I would love to stay at Kulakane again my family lives west side and it is a very beautiful property.

We loved our stay here! Great location, parking, view, and value! Just a couple suggestions: An extra set of bedding for each bed would have been appreciated for a stay of over a week. We were here 9 nights. Also, this unit really needs to have curtains that block the afternoon & evening sun to help keep unit cooler. Closing the sun shades even just partially on the balcony holds in all the heat from the A/C unit sitting on the lanai and makes it very uncomfortable to sit outside & enjoy the sunset or evening. There are a couple maintenance items I addressed with management upon arrival that we were surprised to find in a "remodeled" unit, however they were minor. Table legs on lanai table, drawer broken in kitchen & screen bent/loose on lanai window.

Only negatives is when on the deck the AC fan is running & made it so hot , especially in August. Quick fix… we turned the air off. It also would have been nice to have a fan in the upstairs bedroom. This is our second stay at this property, and it's perfect for our family. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious and we were able to save so much money by making some of our breakfasts and lunches in the condo. The views off the lenai are amazing. We saw multiple turtles daily and even spinner dolphins dancing around one morning. Great snorkeling right off the beach in front of the unit and a nice little pool. Good laundry facilities so you can take home clean clothes. Great little local shops, restaurants, food trucks and beaches close by. You cannot beat the value and convenience of this beautiful and spacious condo compared to a hotel - highly recommend!
