Appliances all clean and functional. No real beach right in front, but access to the water for swimming and snorkling, and beaches are within 5 minutes. No staples - like coffee, tea, sugar.

Loved it. Perfect location, right on ocean with first floor access to ocean, pool. Seemed to attract good people. Turtles showed up everyday. West Maui is perfect. No need to drive too far to great beaches. Nice access to the boardwalks along resorts if you like to walk or run.

This was a wonderful place to stay especially for my son who wanted nothing more than to swim with turtles. Every evening they came right up to the wave wall of the condo. It was wonderful and close to things yet set apart from the super touristy places enough.

It’s a rare place where the photos do justice to the experience. I took a million videos from lanai. I could have thrown my phone into the ocean from the lanai — *that* close.

We love Kulakane watching whales on the lanai and listening to the surf. This unit is furnished beautifully with a very comfortable king bed. Love the open kitchen counter but it sacrificed storage space, only a minor inconvenience. Easy check-in and departure.

We loved this ground floor suite which provided amazing views of the ocean. We watched humpback whales breaching each morning on the patio with our coffee. The suite itself was a bit dated but charming and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The property managers were very friendly and responsive. The building is very quiet and the environment was low-key and relaxing. Would definitely stay here again.

No much good to say. Updated 1960. Beach access but no beach. Thought pool was a hot tub. Stove door broke. Owner had closet full of his / her clothes and other items. Office very seldom open. Nothing to do within walking distance and very little within driving distance. The one positive thing the view. Overpriced what not recommend.

Can’t beat the ocean front view of #306. The beds were comfortable but the patio furniture and living room was so uncomfortable!!!!! Definitely needs replacing. Floors were filthy, and we didn’t wear shoes inside. We swept but didn’t seem to do any good. Not sure if it’s road grime filtering in or they just haven’t been cleaned good in a while. Hauling luggage and groceries up to the third floor was a challenge on the very narrow stairs. Not for those with walking issues. The parking is tight but everywhere on Maui seems that way. We had great whale watching and there was ample room by the pool every day.

This was our first stay in 114. Beautiful view, comfortable bed, indoor dining set was lovely. The two arm chairs have gotten soft in the seat cushions but otherwise the furniture was nice. We had hoped for a tv in the bedroom and a larger one in the living room. Not a dealbreaker but nicer when the weather isn’t great. We love to cook so we found the knives a little dull and could have used a cheese grater as we enjoy making pizza. We bought a couple pizza pans and left them in the unit. All said - a lovely place to stay. We’ll book again.

We have stayed at a second or third floor condo at Kulakane many times. We love the lanais - they are very spacious, private and right on the ocean. We have taken many photos of migrating Humpback whales, breaching and slapping their tails, while we sipped coffee on the lanai. We have many photos of the sunsets and the turtles. Such a special experience. Unit 202 was lovely. Loved the king bed with tables on BOTH sides. YAY. It could use a side chair, perhaps a recliner, in the living area. The Kulakane is close to two markets (The Times and Napili Market), many many restaurants, several golf courses, shopping, and hiking trails. Always a lovely vacation.

I have been staying there for 10 years now and there is a reason. The property is great in a good location and is always well taken care of. The rental(Property) Manager and the Grounds and Maintenance Manager are busy starting before you get here until after you leave to ensure your stay is awesome. If you need anything while you are there they do everything possible to take care of it for you. I don't know anywhere else on the island where they take care of you this well. As long as they are there this is where I will stay

The condo it’s self needs some updating....throw rug needs replacing, the chest of drawers in bedroom need cleaning or replaced (they have a mildew smell and gets on clothes) I brought air fresheners this time however it didn’t help much 😩 your clothes will start stinking . Pillows are flat . Just needs some TLC by the owners !!

I have been staying here for about 12 years. Everything was great as usual. Debbie and Tony do a fantastic job. I am disappointed that the smoking area was removed. I do not smoke, but my girlfriend does. It was nice to have a safe and comfortable area. Now its 2 chairs in a dark corner. It is not safe. Plus, the chairs at the BBQ area have been removed. And no bench outside the office to sit at. These are all things that set the Kulakane apart from the rest. Now it feels like just another condo complex that really does not take into consideration their guests. Very disappointing. I guess it's a new management company. I recommend getting rid of the new management company and going back to what it was. A unique and friendly condo complex.

Our Ohana enjoyed another magical Christmas on Maui, and for the 3rd Christmas in a row, we stayed in room 311. Your condo has become a home away from home for us over the years and we are so grateful for the beautiful space to make memories and enjoy time with our 3 teenage daughters. We have already booked stays for the next two years...and hope for many more visits as well. The condo was clean and stocked well. The cleaning teams are just amazing and so kind! We even found items that we have left in the closets, so that was fun!If we could offer any suggestions, we would love to see the couch upgraded. We don't spend a ton of time in the condo, but at night it would be nice (especially around the holidays) to be able to all (fam of 5 adults) have a place to sit and relax. An L shaped couch with a pullout would be amazing and then you could just get rid of the chair by the door. The couch in general is getting a little worn and "grimy" looking and feeling. The carpet and rugs also are getting very worn and could probably use to be replaced at some point. Beds are comfy and we always sleep so well in Maui. Thank you for your kind hospitality and for sharing this beautiful space with our family. We will treasure our time here forever. Can you beat that view?! It's such amazing.

The grounds are well kept(although I miss the beautiful Japanese garden} The unit 213 is always clean and the utensils for cooking are more than adequate. However,the stove needs replacing. Debbie Reynolds is an excellent manager,and is vey helpful. As is Tony her partner. I have recommended the Kulakane to several friends. Hope to be back again next year
