We loved our stay here! Great location, parking, view, and value! Just a couple suggestions: An extra set of bedding for each bed would have been appreciated for a stay of over a week. We were here 9 nights. Also, this unit really needs to have curtains that block the afternoon & evening sun to help keep unit cooler. Closing the sun shades even just partially on the balcony holds in all the heat from the A/C unit sitting on the lanai and makes it very uncomfortable to sit outside & enjoy the sunset or evening. There are a couple maintenance items I addressed with management upon arrival that we were surprised to find in a "remodeled" unit, however they were minor. Table legs on lanai table, drawer broken in kitchen & screen bent/loose on lanai window.

The property was absolutely wonderful! Clean, spacious & the view is to die for. And we got to see the sea turtles!! Only negatives is when on the deck the AC fan is running & made it so hot , especially in August. Quick fix… we turned the air off. It also would have been nice to have a fan in the upstairs bedroom. Other than that it was perfect!! Thank you for a lovely stay!

This is our second stay at this property, and it's perfect for our family. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious and we were able to save so much money by making some of our breakfasts and lunches in the condo. The views off the lenai are amazing. We saw multiple turtles daily and even spinner dolphins dancing around one morning. Great snorkeling right off the beach in front of the unit and a nice little pool. Good laundry facilities so you can take home clean clothes. Great little local shops, restaurants, food trucks and beaches close by. You cannot beat the value and convenience of this beautiful and spacious condo compared to a hotel - highly recommend!

Aloha, It was so awesome staying at Kulakane. Debbie was kind and helpful when booking for our staycation. Coming from Big Island to Maui for state paddling championships and coming here I think we will be looking forward to when we return again! Such a beautiful property from the easy access parking to the room and the view, pool and ocean spray my Ohana had a blast! Mahalo Nui Debbie & Kulakane! A hui ho!

We couldn’t have asked for a better location. Aside from it being oceanfront and full of turtles; it was also conveniently placed for food and shopping. Our only complaint was one broken fan (that they did offer to fix but we were fine at night without it) & the lack of air conditioning because it would get a bit hot during the day. Luckily, the nights were great. We would definitely come back!

We have stayed in this unit several times and it is our favorite one. One of the things we noticed was there were more locked cabinets and less amenities such as cooking pots, fins/snorkles, boards, etc that were found in other units. The "Aloha Spirit" found at the KulaKane was always a special part of staying there and it was significantly missing. The onsite manager(Debbie/Tony) are no longer living there and that has made a difference. Even next door had more "Spirit".

Our family has been coming to the KulaKane since the '80's and always enjoyed our stay. One of the things special about the KulaKane was the "Aloha Spirit" and that was missing as the traditional Conch blowing and Friday pupu was not there. We made our own. Next door did a better job of creating a tradition.

We've stayed in both 1/1 and 2/2 condos over the years. Starting with your initial contact with Debbie by email or phone is always reassuring that you'll be properly taken care of. The condos themselves sitting 50 ft from the seawall and cleanliness are always a wonderful start. Like the title says The Kulakane Never Disappoints.

Our family of 5 had the most wonderful experience at this beautiful beach Maui condo during our Spring Break. The property is gorgeous , the location is great, views are beautiful, condo amenities are updated and perfect , it’s stocked with great beach gear , the owner communicates well and helped make our semi last minute plans to Maui simple and our vaca so memorable . We highly recommend this property and hoping to return again !!! Gorgeous unit ! Thank you - our teenage Triplets celebrated an early 16th and can’t wait to go back!!!

I have stayed many times at this property and I will stay again. But not in this unit. The regular manager was out the week that we were there, and she is very attentive normally. The bed was so horrible I had to sleep on the couch for a week. I thought it was one of those adjustable air mattresses so I looked everywhere for a remote control. I emailed the info desk and never received a response. Additionally, I don't feel like the unit was cleaned very well. There were ants/bugs in the kitchen and bathroom, which do go away with normal spraying treatment. I gutted the kitchen and scrubbed the entire thing and sprayed for ants and mostly they went away. But I found several areas that had crumbs under a table and it just wasn't cleaned thoroughly. I think this happened partly because of the extreme amount of furniture and pillows loaded into this unit. It was stuffed full! I ended up packing half the furniture and pillows out of the way so I could be comfortable. It was just too much. As I've said, I have stayed at this property multiple times and the management and location is outstanding. But this unit needs some help.

This is a great room in a great location. Quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean and nice. Everything we needed was there, including beach chairs, beach toys, etc. Our favorite part was the balcony. We loved seeing and hearing the waves crash and seeing sea turtles daily. The only thing we didn’t love was that it was very hard to get the room cool and it never got as cool as we would have liked it, especially the upstairs bedroom. You can’t put the thermostat below 72, but it only got down that low one night. Most of the time it stayed in the upper 70’s upstairs. But overall I’m very happy we stayed here.

Condo is in a great location right on the water. property has not been very well Taken care of and needs a lot of repair work. very dirty carpets, cabinets in the kitchen are falling apart, doors can’t close or stay closed, twin mattresses are hard, broken window that won’t stay open, small thing like the can opener, doesn’t work and knives that don’t cut,etc. Has so much potential.

We saw whales and dolphins from the balcony! Very peaceful location. Note, this is an older building so you may hear the upstairs tenant (which was noisy at times). Otherwise, the area itself is quiet. Couch pullout is a little noisy, but quite comfortable and larger than the bedroom bed. Great bbq grills, and easy access for early morning snorkel before high tide.

This was our 2nd time staying at this property we loved it the first time it was an easy choice to come back and stay again! We enjoyed many nights playing dominoes on the lanai watching turtles play in the water so close and whale spotting in the distance. The door that brings you outside at the lahaina was broken with a label of not to open because the guide splits in two. The reason of booking this place was because the view was great but I could not enjoy it.

We enjoyed our stay. We were on the third floor, so it was a little difficult with our luggage, but totally worth it. We got to watch whales and sea turtles from our balcony. There was a cooler and beach chairs for us to use and everything you would ever need in the kitchen.

Awesome property in Kaanapali with easy access to Hwy 30 Honoapiilani Hwy. Walking distance to the food trucks and a few restaurants/bakeries. The rooms were very clean. The owner responded very quickly to address any questions/concerns that we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place. Perfect for our three night stay. The only downside was our upstairs neighbor was extremely noise. They were there on our days 2 and 3 and sounded like they were moving furniture and had a small pony running around upstairs.
