Exactly as expected. I was shocked how easy it was to check in, get access, check out. I was concerned about previous mentions of "mean neighbors regarding kids". However, I found quite the opposite. One neighbor brought out a surfboard and gave my kids impromptu surf lessons. Location was great for beach access and walkable distance to food trucks. AC was really key for us as well. Loved each day so much, my daughter cried as we walked out the door.

The whole family enjoyed our stay here. The location was beautiful with great snorkeling onsite and near by. Several of the local food options were excellent. We had plenty of space for our family of 4 in the 2 bed/2 bath unit. Watching the turtles from the lanai was so much fun!

Pool and views were great! The unit 105 needs work. Not a very well decorated. Furniture very uncomfortable. Very drab unit! The kitchen faucet was broken as well as the trim across the floor. Other than that, we still had a good time. After all you’re in Hawaii! Oh also the floor was very dirty. Our feet were black just walking accross it. Thank you

Aloha, and Mahalo to the owners of KK310 for letting us stay at your beautiful place. We stayed for 9 days and could have stayed longer.Everything that is listed on the listing is correct, this place was amazing from the moment we walked in. There was just my wife and I so we had plenty of room, we have seen the inside of a couple other units and this one was the best. The upper bedroom is a loft with a full bath (that's where we slept) there is a large ceiling fan to help circulate the air, there is AC (which many units don't have) but we love to keep the doors open and get the fresh air and the sounds of the waves.There is a full kitchen with all you need (pans, dishes, blender ECT). The view is amazing with sunsets every night and while eating breakfast on the patio we would watch sea turtles swimming in front. There is a couple nice grills which we cooked steak and lobster on. For the bad, if you have a hard time with stairs this is on the 3rd floor so be prepared (better views), the frontage of the property has a sea wall but there are two small beaches on each side, this is a decent spot to snorkel because there are fish and many turtles. The best beach is a five minute drive up the road. We recommend the sunset cruise, we did it twice and I wanted to go again (especially with the one free special) FYI, take your own pictures they come out better than the photographers.We highly recommend this unit and would love to come back. Thanks to Debbie. She was extremely responsive to all of my Q’s. The only disadvantage I would say is not having an AC unit which they had already mentioned as it got hot a few days. Other than that view is great and with convenience to shops nearby.

I came to Maui for a family emergency and I was genuinely pleased with the property. I have stayed at Kulakane many times before in other units. My parents live across the street so convenient access to their home is vital! I loved that the pool has been finished finally. ;) The bed is so comfortable and I really appreciate the closet area with extra storage. Woke up to beautiful ocean views every day. There was a fair amount of construction on the sea wall during my stay and at one point the water was turned off. I never contacted MPP but the property manager was extremely responsive to concerns and they were handled immediately. Twice the smoke detectors in other units were needing to be replaced!! The beeping was loud and they stopped it both times. I would love to stay at Kulakane again my family lives west side and it is a very beautiful property.

We loved our stay here! Great location, parking, view, and value! Just a couple suggestions: An extra set of bedding for each bed would have been appreciated for a stay of over a week. We were here 9 nights. Also, this unit really needs to have curtains that block the afternoon & evening sun to help keep unit cooler. Closing the sun shades even just partially on the balcony holds in all the heat from the A/C unit sitting on the lanai and makes it very uncomfortable to sit outside & enjoy the sunset or evening. There are a couple maintenance items I addressed with management upon arrival that we were surprised to find in a "remodeled" unit, however they were minor. Table legs on lanai table, drawer broken in kitchen & screen bent/loose on lanai window.

The property was absolutely wonderful! Clean, spacious & the view is to die for. And we got to see the sea turtles!! Only negatives is when on the deck the AC fan is running & made it so hot , especially in August. Quick fix… we turned the air off. It also would have been nice to have a fan in the upstairs bedroom. This is our second stay at this property, and it's perfect for our family. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious and we were able to save so much money by making some of our breakfasts and lunches in the condo. The views off the lenai are amazing. We saw multiple turtles daily and even spinner dolphins dancing around one morning. Great snorkeling right off the beach in front of the unit and a nice little pool. Good laundry facilities so you can take home clean clothes. Great little local shops, restaurants, food trucks and beaches close by. You cannot beat the value and convenience of this beautiful and spacious condo compared to a hotel - highly recommend!

Aloha, It was so awesome staying at Kulakane. Debbie was kind and helpful when booking for our staycation. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. Aside from it being oceanfront and full of turtles; it was also conveniently placed for food and shopping. Our only complaint was one broken fan (that they did offer to fix but we were fine at night without it) & the lack of air conditioning because it would get a bit hot during the day. We have stayed in this unit several times and it is our favorite one. One of the things we noticed was there were more locked cabinets and less amenities such as cooking pots, fins/snorkles, boards, etc that were found in other units. The "Aloha Spirit" found at the KulaKane was always a special part of staying there and it was significantly missing. The onsite manager(Debbie/Tony) are no longer living there and that has made a difference. Even next door had more "Spirit".

Our family has been coming to the KulaKane since the '80's and always enjoyed our stay. One of the things special about the KulaKane was the "Aloha Spirit" and that was missing as the traditional Conch blowing and Friday pupu was not there. We made our own. Next door did a better job of creating a tradition.

Our family of 5 had the most wonderful experience at this beautiful beach Maui condo during our Spring Break. The property is gorgeous , the location is great, views are beautiful, condo amenities are updated and perfect , it’s stocked with great beach gear , the owner communicates well and helped make our semi last minute plans to Maui simple and our vaca so memorable . This is a great room in a great location. Quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean and nice. Everything we needed was there, including beach chairs, beach toys, etc. Our favorite part was the balcony. We loved seeing and hearing the waves crash and seeing sea turtles daily. The only thing we didn’t love was that it was very hard to get the room cool and it never got as cool as we would have liked it, especially the upstairs bedroom. You can’t put the thermostat below 72, but it only got down that low one night. Most of the time it stayed in the upper 70’s upstairs. But overall I’m very happy we stayed here.

Condo is in a great location right on the water. property has not been very well Taken care of and needs a lot of repair work. very dirty carpets, cabinets in the kitchen are falling apart, doors can’t close or stay closed, twin mattresses are hard, broken window that won’t stay open, small thing like the can opener, doesn’t work and knives that don’t cut,etc. Has so much potential.

We saw whales and dolphins from the balcony! Very peaceful location. Note, this is an older building so you may hear the upstairs tenant (which was noisy at times). Otherwise, the area itself is quiet. Couch pullout is a little noisy, but quite comfortable and larger than the bedroom bed. Great bbq grills, and easy access for early morning snorkel before high tide.

This was our 2nd time staying at this property we loved it the first time it was an easy choice to come back and stay again! We enjoyed many nights playing dominoes on the lanai watching turtles play in the water so close and whale spotting in the distance.
