The location is truly ideal—right on a gorgeous beach where we could walk out each morning and enjoy the ocean just steps from the condo. It was also within easy walking distance to shaved ice, fresh malasadas, and the local farmers market, which gave us such a fun taste of the island without even needing to get in the car.The condo itself had everything we needed and more. It was stocked with towels, boogie boards, and plenty of kitchenware, which made it easy to cook meals and feel right at home. We loved this condo! The condo is clean and beautiful, and the bed is so comfortable. The beach is just outside and very convenient. The complex is relatively small and everyone is so friendly. We are scuba divers and it was so diver friendly. There was a hose out front that we were told we could use to rinse gear. A nice cart is available to help get our bins to the unit, and we felt very safe leaving gear on the porch to dry. So many extras in the unit saved us a lot. There was dish soap, detergent pods, a well stocked kitchen including lots of spices and cooking spray. The bedroom closet has lots of beach toys. We used the cooler every day to take fresh water and snacks with us to shore dive sites. There was a welcome basket with a nice assortment of goodies to try, and a bottle of cool water waiting in the fridge. We felt at home in this condo and definitely want to come stay again! Mahalo!

We just loved this condo. It was very comfortable and had all the things that we needed for our stay. The staff are amazing. The condo is just how it looks on the website. Very clean. We would definitely recommend this condo to everyone. The only thing we felt it needed, and it's really minor, and that is a cheap stick style vacuum cleaner. Although, there were Swiffer mops, a vacuum cleaner would have been helpful. Also, there were people there smoking on the patio area, we felt it would be helpful to put up no smoking signs just so people would be aware. Other than that, it was a wonderful place to stay. We will certainly come back to this one.

Our 2 week stay at this condo was amazing!!! Pictures are exactly what you get!! It was nice to be close to everything but also away from touristy/resort area. They provide all beach essentials, even a cooler and beach bag!! We had a rental car, which I think is a must, to explore the whole island! Here are a few pictures of our view and the beach.

This was our first trip to Hawaii, and Kihei Sands made it truly memorable. The property is beautifully maintained and ideally located—close to the beaches and hiking spots we explored around Maui. We especially loved the lush tropical plants and vibrant flowers throughout the resort.While the ocean right out front wasn’t the clearest for swimming, the beach itself was great for walks and hanging out at. You could walk the beach to the local ABC, farmers’ market, shaved Ice and bakery. The pool and patio areas were also fantastic—clean, comfortable, and inviting.Our condo had a charming beachy vibe and a lovely ocean-view balcony. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, the cozy second-story loft bedroom, and thoughtful touches like plenty of beach towels, chairs, a cooler, umbrellas, and more. It was great that the resort also offered pool and beach toys to borrow. In the mornings we enjoyed the complimentary coffee and tea on the patio while watching the boats go by. We can’t wait to return—Kihei Sands truly felt like a home away from home.

If you're looking for a great location, this is it. However, we weren't blown away by anything this condo offered and it wasn't the best experience overall. We arrived on the island a couple hours early and knew we had to burn some time so we went sightseeing and shopping. At 3:45pm, we arrived since it was after the 3:00pm check-in to find out condo still being cleaned. The property manager let us know the previous guests had made a mess of the place. While it only took another 15 minutes or so to get in, a text or call earlier would have been nice so we wouldn't have to arrive and wait. We were given 100 in gift cards to a lunch spot in Kihei that was mediocre, but the gesture was appreciated. Once inside, the condo was small, but correct to it's listing description. However, we found a number of dirty items in the kitchen. The bathrooms don't have shower doors so just a heads up that you'll have to lay down 3 towels to keep the floors from getting slick. The narrow stairway makes it difficult to carry luggage up and down, so be mindful of that. Overall, we didn't spend too much time in the condo and enjoyed the beach and the island so we just settled with the condo and it's imperfections. If you're wanting more comforts and cleanliness on Maui, look nearby but not here.

We stayed for a week and had everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked, keurig coffee maker as well as drip coffee machine. In the mornings we loved being able to take a few steps to fill up our tumblers with freshly brewed coffee. We would then take a few more steps to start our long walk down the beach. The sand is super soft and the beach is clean. We felt the location was great as first time visitors. It was close to the airport, many restaurants, marker zero to get on the road to Hana as well as the road to Haleakala. We also walked to the very popular bakery and snow cone shop down the road. We visited nearby beaches, Kam III, Mākena state beach park, and Ka’anapali beach. The harbor to get on a sunset sail in Maalaea was only a ten minute drive. We didn’t make it to the ocean center aquarium but that’s also by the harbor. The other visitors we encountered at Kihei sands were all friendly and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. It was so great to have beach chairs, ice chest, and an umbrella available for our use. Also a plus is the beach and pool toys kept outside for kids to enjoy. The grounds are very well kept. It seemed like at least twice a day the ground would be hosed off by staff. Host was quick to respond and helpful. Overall great stay and can’t wait to be back!

The patio allowed for cooking on the grill and tables to enjoy dinner at the beach. Many people used this amenity which allowed us to chat with other guests. It was a good location that allowed us to get from place to place without long travel times.

Lovely property - with a beach that while we were there basically couldn’t be used as the wind just blew sand all over us. The pool was great though. The issue for us was upon arriving after 3 flights and long days to get there at 9 pm the door code on the door was dead. There was not any way into the home. We called the owner 2 times, left a message, called the emergency person no answer and no return call - went to the main office no one. Luckily we found Connie who gave us a spare key - we were to return it the next day when the manager was supposed to get with us to turn in the ONLY key for our unit. He never called or stopped by. We stopped by the office every day for the 4 days we were there to try and arrange the door brung fixed. Never heard from the owner, the manager or the emergency person! Thank goodness we had the one and only key and never lost it.

We had such a great stay with Kihei Sands. We were in Condo B8 which had a beautiful ocean front view. The condo was well supplied with everything one would need for the beach. The office staff were amazing and so helpful and inviting. We loved that it was quiet and low key with not a lot of activity going on around us, but just a few minutes drive to whatever we wanted to do. We will absolutely stay here again.

We stayed here for four days. Perfect for my husband and I and our two adult children. We just loved it! The condo development is small, quiet and just so lovely. We spent as much time outside enjoying the beach setting. Located in longest sand beach on Maui you'll love the morning walks. The condo has a great common area for grilling, eating, swimming, relaxing and looking out at the beautiful scenery. Our condo had everything we needed. We absolutely loved Maui, centrally located so you can get everywhere very easily for touristy excursions. We loved everything about our stay. Dreamy and wonderful memories.
