Location was on the beach, quiet, serene. You can hear the ocean waves from the patio door. The condo was stocked so thoughtfully, she even had qtips in the medicine cabinet. It was a 5 min drive to the busy part of Kihei and close to shops and food trucks. Thanks for helping our trip so memorable.

My husband and I wanted to extend our stay on Maui after his educational seminar. This place was just what we were looking for. It is a small property (only 30 units) with the one bedroom on the ground floor and the two bedroom on the second level. We were less than a minute's walk to the pool, and another minute to the beach. You can walk to dinner and limited shopping.
The kitchen had all the appliances and utensils you could ever need. There were explicit instructions on how to use the tv, shower, etc along with suggestions of places to eat, shop, and visit. We met some of the unit owners and felt welcomed into their 'community'. We will definitely stay there again!

My wife and I stayed at this property for a short period before going to a larger resort for the rest of our stay in Maui.
This location is so comfortable and homey. It's right next to the beach which is super nice. The property is stocked with everything you may need. I was pleasantly surprised when I went out in the morning to watch the sunrise and I saw the property makes coffee and tea in the morning for all of the guests.
Lastly, the host was so nice and flexible when I needed to shorten my stay by 1 day. I would definitely recommend staying here for your trip to Maui!

We stayed here for 6 amazing days for our wedding anniversary. Check in was smooth. Communication with Elen was great and informative. The condo is a short drive to the area in Kihei that has all the foods and shops. You can hear the ocean waves from the lanai and the beach is only steps away. We had trouble finding parking one night but was able to get into one after waiting not too long.

We had the most amazing time at Kihei Sands unit A6. Elen was an amazing host. She gave us a welcome packet with all the information that was needed for our stay including things to do and places to go/eat. The unit was very clean and has everything you could need. The location was beautiful/perfect. It was amazing being able walk out of the unit and be right on the beach.

We liked being so close to the beach. Also, it was nice to be in a small complex that wasn’t crowded. Our property manager responded quickly when there was an issue with the tv and internet, which we appreciated. My only suggestion would be that the sofa and rugs need to be cleaned. This place is a hidden gem. Our second time staying at this condo, which is clean, quiet and comfortable. Anything you might need is in the condo. Great location in the particular condo complex, private and away from the activity at the pool and on the patio. But just step out your door and you have coffee in the morning and a walk on the beach! Back door is easy access to the pool! We will be back!

We had the best holiday ever in Maui at Elen’s condo (A6) at Kehei sands. The place was right on the beach and had everything we needed. The location was perfect as we were only about 25 minutes from anything in either direction. Elen’s attention to detail made staying here so easy, and we plan on staying here again! We had a wonderful stay at this condo. After booking this unit, Elen was great at keeping us informed with information on how we get into the unit, parking, things to do and places to eat in the area, as well as the rental car tram being out of service at the airport on the day we arrive. On our first night, the whole complex and surrounding neighborhood all lost power for a few hours. No worries, we texted Elen and she let us know there were flashlights and lanterns in her closet. The unit itself is furnished and decorated really nice. We were very impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was. It had everything you need to cook or make coffee including coffee beans. She also has sunscreen, beach chairs, beach towels, insulated bag and cooler for us to use. And we used all the above! Just a few steps outside the unit, you can watch beautiful sunsets from the pool area or right on the sandy beach. We loved staying in Kihei and found it very convenient to go any direction on Maui from here. We can't wait to come back and stay here again!

Great location. Can be to any destination either direction within 20 - 30. Excluding trips up into the mountains or Hana.
Parking limited and spacing very tight. If renting a vehicle, request a small compact car. Will benefit you elsewhere on the island too. Condo very nice, well equipped with kitchen, linens, pool and beach accessories. A couple maintenance items need conducted as unit ages. One being the A/C unit. Air quality very stale and sour. Maybe filter change would eliminated odors. Ceiling fan motors very noisy. Motor whines on one in kitchen area and bedroom fan clunky. Nice time, nice memories!

This was beyond our expectations. It was very clean and tastefully decorated like a hotel, but had all the comforts of home. The kitchen had everything for you too cook a full meal (condiments, pans, serving dishes). You don’t need to pack a single toiletry as everything, including sunblock, bug spray, is in a basket full of washroom necessities. Plus there’s more than I can mention for you to enjoy the outdoors like chairs, hats, toys and even the important coolers. Did I mention there’s also an ice maker and takeaway cups for the walks on the beach which are just steps away? This was an outstanding suite that was so well appointed. We would most definitely stay there again. Mahalo!

After driving and exploring about 80% of the livable area of Maui, I have come to the conclusion that there is no where I would rather stay than Kehei, and specifically at this location. If you really want night life and a more active social scene, you may want to look elsewhere, but for the relaxing getaway that my husband and I wanted, getting on island time and exploring all Maui has to offer, Elen's place was perfection. The central(ish) location on the island made for a perfect day trip to the north west shores and Lahaina, a quick drive to some amazing snorkel spots on the south shore, and a head start on the road to Hana, not to mention the amazing and beautiful beach just a few steps from the front door!
Elen was a wonderful host who had a wealth of knowledge to share about the best ways to see the island. The place was well stocked with some staples and cookware (though we didn't really utilize them). The snorkel gear was perfectly adequate for us less-experienced snorkelers and there was even a cache of sunscreens that proved extremely beneficial.
The one hiccup we had was that I messaged Elen (text and via VRBO) early the day before our checkout to see if a late checkout would be possible and never heard back. Otherwise, it was all a great experience. If we ever come back to Maui, we will definitely be staying at Kehei Sands!

Loved the intimacy of the Kihei Sands. As it's a smaller, complex, there's an opportunity to meet other vacationers. Lovely Sugar Beach is outside your door and the Kihei Canoe Club is a walk away for visitor paddling. Love A6. Elen was great keeping us informed and quick to respond. The unit itself is beautifully remodelled and we loved coming back to it after a busy day. Loved the well-stocked kitchen with everything amenity imaginable and lots of spices so that you could make meals from scratch. We would definitely come back here again. A 5 star stay at a fraction of Maui's overblown prices.

I think it was the wrong time of year for us to vacation in Hawaii. Let me first say Elen is an excellent host! We arrived to a family reunion of 30 plus adults and their children at the complex. There was seldom room for any non-reunion people to sit on the common patio or around the pool. When we had coffee on our rooms patio in the mornings people were smoking next to ours. I thought it was a non-smoking complex? The pool hours are clearly posted as 9am to 8pm, children were in the pool by 8am. Does anyone enforce the rules? Children in the unit above ours seemed to never stop running from one end to the other. Installing some sound proofing would help a lot. We have been to Hawaii at least twenty times all between November and March this was our least enjoyable trip.

We stayed here 11 nights for our honeymoon. Overall, we were very pleased with this property. The location is amazing—right on the beach, so you can enjoy the sun and sand from the condo complex, but you will also have easy access to explore the rest of the island. Sugar Beach is very nice to walk in the mornings. The surf sometimes came up too high to sit on the beach in the afternoons, but this depends on whether there's a south sea swell. The condo itself was mostly comfortable; it was just the right size for two adults, and it was stocked to the brim with all of the toiletries and amenities you could want for a beach trip. We also really appreciated the host’s recommendations and quick communication. We were disappointed that this condo had “ghost ants” in the bathroom and kitchen that were there when we arrived and stuck around for the duration of our stay, despite our best efforts. The host instructed us to put out Terro bait and store all our food in the refrigerator/microwave; not exactly things you want to be doing or dealing with on your honeymoon. The property manager came in midway through our stay to spray for ants in the bathroom, which helped some, but then they seemed to just get more active in the kitchen. I understand that ants are part of life on a tropical island, but it seemed more proactive measures could be taken to prevent them from finding their way into the unit. But, ants aside, this unit was a pretty good value for the price and location.

We enjoyed staying in Elen's condo at Kihei Sands. It is a small condo complex right on the beach. One can walk down the beach to the Sugar Beach Bakery, ABC store, Shave Ice and a gift shop. It was fun to watch the outrigger canoes practice every morning. The other people staying were friendly. Coffee is put out on the patio each morning from 6-8.

I would have stayed at Elen’s beautiful condo the entire week if she had availability but we had to break up our visit which worked out because we wanted to stay overnight in Hana and on the west side, as well. It was just me and my husband but I could see bringing my daughter as it is so quiet, beach access was easy, and Elen had all the things we needed. The washer dryer access was community and was $2.50 a wash/dry, which was a small inconvenience but not uncommon. We particularly appreciated how she had two parkas available (medium black one for me, Large camo one for my husband) so we didn’t freeze our butts off doing the Haleakala sunset. One of the highlights to our trip. The backyard had a small pool, outdoor shower, and easy beach access. A great sunset every night! We drove past Wailea where resorts are am charging $3k a night and honestly would never consider it even if it were more affordable, since those areas were so commercialized and congested. We wasted money on dinner at Ko at the Fairmont and Merriman’s which were highly recommended but food was underwhelming and cost was high. Nalu’s had live music and was unpretentious, and food was so good! If you can get in via the bar, we ended up lucking out at Mama’s Fish House which was the only meal worth the cost (views , presentation, food were all incredible). Anyway, our Maui visit was magic and we are so grateful that Elen was responsive, so thorough with details and recommendations, our visit was beyond expectations! Mahalo! We hope to return!

This is our second time staying here. The unit is well cared for, clean, and the kitchen is well equipped. Beach chairs, a cooler, and a nice umbrella are available for use. This is the perfect location for long sunrise and sunset beach walks and a centralized location to explore the island. We really enjoyed our visitor paddle with the Kihei Canoe Club close by! The farmers market and bakery are a short walk away and a great way to start a day.

Loved everything about this property: the common patio to meet other guests, the beah for long walks and swimming, the perfect, nicely laid-out and decorated unit and super comfortble bed. Even the shower with two water spray options (including hand-held). Pretty hallway decor on ground floor with all the plants (should include a picture of the hallway walkway in VRBO desciption). And close parking to smaller complex was really nice!

The building facilities (pool, deck, hall ways) were beautiful and well maintained. The condo itself had many cute decorations and we very comfortable and well appointed. My husband was particularly pleased to find a ukulele which he had been looking at to buy. He learned how to play it on the instrument they had and is now excited to het his own.

The entire experience, from planning to actually being there, was excellent. Elen provided detailed information prior to the trip, including where to eat on the first day. We were extremely tired, so her recommendations were very helpful.
The space itself was just perfect for our purposes, which was to get away and relax. The beach was a few steps away, and though the water was not as inviting as other beaches we went to, it was still beautiful and warm. The beach was great to sit on while watching the sunset, having shaved ice, and/or reading a book.
Everyone we came across was super friendly as well. Parking could be a little tight, especially backing out, but it was manageable.
The condo was close to everything we needed - a delicious bakery, shaved ice, and ABC store, and places to have a quick bite. All else was a short drive away. We highly recommend this space. Mahalo!

This place is amazing, Elen was super helpful through it all with Hawaii covid updates as we were coming from Canada. The location was amazing, everything you needed was less than a 10 min drive and short walks places. The unit had everything you needed and more, the people at the condo unit were extremely friendly. Hot coffee every morning outside and that sunrise and sunset you cannot beat. The beach was really quiet and barely anyone on it, if you are looking for a good sandwich dinas next door was amazing and we went 3 times for lunch you can’t beat that place! Elen couldn’t have been a better host with helping us with an early check in and a vast guide on what to do and where to eat ! This property has everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay on Maui. Ellen’s property on Sugar Beach is a perfect location. Close to the grocery store, shops, and restaurants. Sugar Beach is beautiful and perfect for early morning walks. We watched the outrigger canoes paddle every morning.
The unit is clean and equipped with everything you’ll need. It was so nice to have beach chairs, umbrella, and coolers available. The grounds and pool area are clean and beautiful. You can hear the neighbors above occasionally, but it’s very quiet during the designated quiet hours.
The lanai is small, but is just the right amount of personal outdoor and green space. We are most meals outside. Grills are shared, but fun to socialize with other guests while preparing food. Sunsets at this location can’t be beat!
Elen was so helpful with all our questions prior to arrival. We wild highly recommend Elen’s property!

We just celebrated our wedding & needed to enjoy our honeymoon. We booked Maui, but didn’t want to stay at a resort. My coworkers told me about Kihei & about Vrbo. That’s when I ran into Elen’s condo at Kihei Sands on the list.
It’s literally on the beach! It was so convenient to stroll outside, make a left, & oh! Beach + sitting area. We had breakfast outside plenty of times & strolled beach daily. It was fantastic because not many people were on this beach compared to the more touristy areas. She even provided 2 beach chairs we utilized multiple times! (Inside the closet)
Now let’s get to talking inside. Love the renovations. The theme when you walk into the living space is cozy beach. Everything was so clean & organized. Elen has a guide on the coffee table that was the best. It stated expectations, throwing out trash to prevent pest control, has the parking pass, etc! It was the best survival guide for us that have never been to Maui. The updates make this place bright & shine. The tile inside the shower is so clean. It even includes a rain shower!
The living space has had 2 beach towels that were great to utilize as well. There were so many options for us to sit, the couch, the kitchen area, & the patio area in the back. The kitchen had so many amenities, like a water heater, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, etc! It literally had everything!
The bedroom was comfortable. It had a queen bed, 4 pillows. It also had a dresser, sliding mirror closet, & a tray to place your belongings in. It was nice that the lights & fan had a remote control so you didn’t really have to get up from bed.
Elen really made our stay so dang easy! So many things were readily available, so clean, so organized! Definitely a place a to stay!

If you are reading this review, just stop reading and go book this location for your stay in Maui! We highly recommend A6. The location was of the condo building was perfect for exploring different parts of the island. It is right on the beach and we felt right at home. A6 is on the ground floor with a nice lanai to eat breakfast or relax during the day. Since it is a few doors back from the pool, you get privacy even though you are close to the beach access. Elen was so helpful with great information ahead of our stay. We didn't have any problems with check in. The condo has extras that we really appreciated, like the cooler and snorkel gear! We had a wonderful stay and were very sad to leave, we stayed for 10 nights and wish to come back someday.

Steps away from a quiet sandy beach, exactly as I imagined when booking. This condo had everything we could possibly need (and more). Elen was so helpful and made sure we were well informed and comfortable for our stay. The interior was tastefully decorated and clean.
There are a dozen or so units that surround this property, and you're on the ground floor. So you're able to hear the footsteps of those above you in the common area walkways. I'm not sure we anyone was above us during our stay, but we had a quiet stay inside of the condo.
Wish we could stay here longer, and would love to stay here again!
