Overall our stay was very good. The condo was well appointed. A suggestion I would make is to replace all of the teflon pans as they are badly worn and no doubt leaching chemicals into food.Also, this is nothing that the condo owners can fix, but there was a stench outside on several of the days we were there so bad that it kept me from enjoying the outdoors. I asked multiple sources about the origin but the only one that made sense to me is it's coming from the sewage treatment plant down the road. For this reason, I wouldn't stay in Kihei again.

This property was clean and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and the beds were comfortable. Great beach access. The property managers are very knowledgeable and told us the best places to go to do various activities. Would stay at this property again.

We loved being close to the beach. We enjoyed using the extra equipment left by others. There really were plenty of chairs and boogie boards. Enjoyed the pool and the chairs on property. Parking lot is tight and small and teeny, mini van with sliding doors helped make that better. We felt close to anywhere we wanted to go. Near a local farmers' market, shave ice and a little store. Would definitely recommend this place!!!

Fantastic place to stay in Kihei. Our place had plenty of room for 5 adults and a baby. Beds were comfortable and loads of amenities. Steps from the beach and the patio had plenty of tables, lounge chairs and shade umbrellas. Community beach chairs and beach stuff was available on first come basis. Condo staff were very helpful. Short walk to Sugar Beach Bakery and Shave ice! We will definitely be back.

I spent a lot of time researching where to stay before we arrived and could not have been happier with our choice. The location was wonderfully central to anything we wanted to do on the island. The condo was very clean and well appointed and the entire facility was clean and nice. My wife and I went with our adult and teenage children and there were times everyone wanted to do their own thing. Having a keypad entry was super convenient because we could all come and go as we pleased with without having to worry about who had keys, or leaving them on the beach, etc. One of the things I missed the most after coming home was waking up, going to the patio and enjoying the sunrise with a fresh coffee while the waves rolled in. The staff was accessible and responsive. My only caution is that if you’re coming here don’t rent an SUV or larger vehicle. The parking lot spots and in/out are very tight. We had a minivan which was ok but anything bigger would have been an issue. Overall, outstanding game experience. We can’t wait to come back to Maui and will absolutely stay here when we do.

This was our 2nd stay at Kihei Sands condo in the last 3 years. We love the location! Just step outside your door and you feel like you have your own private beach. Take a short walk on the beach to a local farmers market, ABC store, a local bakery, and the best shave ice! We enjoyed participating with the canoe club that’s located on Sugar Beach. The property is well maintained. Not crowded, not noisy, and family friendly. Being from Texas,A/C is a must; therefore, we enjoyed our Condo during the summer visit.

Inaccurate listing — i expected the 3rd Bedroom to be a full bedroom instead of a part of the upstairs 2nd bedroom. No privacy at all. Also it was supposed to have 2 queen beds instead it was 2 tiny twin beds.
The upstairs bedroom was also not enclosed so every sound from the living room could be heard. The only privacy was from the downstairs bedroom.
It was implied that the washer/dryer was in the unit, but instead was a shared laundry room.
Otherwise the property was ok and property manager was communicative and nice. The pillows and the 2 King beds were very comfortable.

We stayed for two weeks in February. The beach is the best and is right there! Sunsets were awesome. I wouldn’t expect to see 3 private bedrooms. Upstairs has an area without a door, and another area with twin beds that has shutters to close it off. That room was basically a loft over living room so noisy is anyone was still up. Big beds were comfy but twins are very uncomfortable and should be replaced. We had an issue with air conditioning and Patrick responded promptly and within a day the air guy added fluid. It needs new coil and not sure if owners don’t want to properly repair it or they can’t get a part because this apparently as an issue in January.The location is perfect and until the last two days when a rowdy wedding group showed up it was quiet. There is construction going on in down stairs units due to a previous flood but that hopefully will be done soon.I would recommend this to people as long as they understand the sleeping arrangements aren’t really 3 separate rooms like a typical 3 bedroom condo. Laundry was a pain because it’s hard to get a machine in the laundry room. Patrick was also very helpful is providing suggestions on island things to do! Great location to see whales also!

It was as we hoped , right there on Sugar Sand Beach. So it was great being able to take morning and evening walks. The kitchen had a lot of pots and pans and dishes. The knives were not sharp, and no sharpness, so we bought new ones. The condo is small, but we wearable to make do . The downstairs bed was comfortable, but my son in law felt the upstairs one was not and with the heat, woke up several times during the night. The owner did refund some money , since the air conditioners didn't work for our stay. He is having it fixed, important details about following the directions, and it doesn't just blow out icy air. Electricity is expensive in Maui , along with everything else. It's in a small condo unit and some of the units are actually lived in. It felt homey. There were bogy boards for the grand kids. We also bought a chair and umbrella and left them there for people to use. It's that kinda of place. homey and neighborhood like , great for families.
one thingI didn't like, VRBO charges a substantial amount for using their app. which was not understood by me.

We were told one car per place, yet if we came and went we lost all spots to crews working. And then there’s the noise of the crew during the day working right below. Lucky no one starts before 9. Over all a great place but would of like to know this ahead of time.

It is a great place with a beautiful beach that has some cool snorkeling. The kitchen is small but very clean and the layout of the place is cool. You have to drive into town, but there is a small market within walking distance. We'd stay here again.

The beds and pillows are super comfortable and the deck is slightly bigger than it looks. We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Kihei Sands. The beach is so peaceful and uncrowded. This was a great base from which to do Haleakala Sunrise, and to start the road to Hana. Ululani’s Shave Ice is a short walk away…. recommend it daily! We also enjoyed Kihei Cafe twice for breakfast. The Kihei Sands facility is fantastic, like having a private beach. The staff are great, they even rescued my daughters stuffed animal and saved it until we returned from Hana. I highly recommend this property.

This was our first time in Maui. We do extensive research, read reviews etc before renting a place to stay. We were two families with six people. Two couples and two kids so sleeping arrangements were perfect. Everyone had an actual bed which were very comfortable. This place checked off all the boxes we all had being within budget: beach front, air condition, pool, beds for all. The location was perfect. The views - amazing. The beach was like our own private beach. We liked the smaller complex and it was very clean. There were "community" chairs, boogie boards, sand toys and more which was helpful. The beachfront area with grill, lounge chairs, table, chairs makes it feel like home. Now for a few more notes that didn't hinder OUR stay but could help with your decision about whether or not this is the place for you: the unit is cozy and on the small size. The MBR and bath are in the loft area along with the room with the twin beds. With the unit being on the smaller size, every voice and sound can be heard easily throughout. So if you have early birds and night owls staying, this could be an issue if you allow it to. We made it work because the early birds would go down to the lounge chairs or for a walk on the beach. The balcony/lanai is rather small and though you can see the ocean, you're also overlooking a parking lot. Again, didn't hinder our stay. We easily walked down to the beach for the views. There are no laundry machines in the unit itself but there are some available on site. Overall the location was perfect for us. You are within walking distance to a farmers market, bakery, ABC store. Driving to restaurants, grocery stores and excursions was very convenient. We would stay here again (minus the kids haha) in a heartbeat.
