Bathroom sink needs some attention as it is partially blocked.
Would like property owner to email me regarding my damage deposit refund. Specifically the credit card I originally paid for this rental was recently compromised and has been replaced. Hence to refund any monies to the original credit card would not be received.

I can sum up my stay in one word.... PERFECT! Location, condo, view, amenities, check-in, check-out. Everything was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maui. The condo was well equipped and updated. The host, always replied in a timely manner about questions. We stayed here 9/2023. The weather was perfect for swimming, hiking, walking the beach. Whatever we had plans for.

The condo is in a great location, just steps to the beach. The complex is very clean and well taken care of. Our particular unit was well stocked with beach equipment, so we didn’t have to rent anything. The kitchen had everything we needed to fill our basic needs. Will definitely stay here again!

Our first time to Maui was a wonderful time which was because in large part to our condo. Perfect location and much slower pace than on another island. Property owner is a joy to work with and we would return when we can. Mahalo, April.

The listing and room both were great ,but the reason I didn't give it a 5 was because the sofa bed is in desperate need of a new mattress. We had to place some yoga mats to try to cushion it a bit and that was still not enough

Perfect windows to Paradise! We thoroughly enjoyed this condo and the Sugar Beach Resort it is a part of. Nightly soaks in the hot tub and leisurely relaxing on the lanai were as good as it gets. Centrally located to access Lahaina, Kaanapali, Wailea, Road to Hana, Iao Needle and Haleakalā sunrise!

This property was everything that was advertised. It's beautiful inside, and is well furnished - especially in the kitchen. The views are amazing and it's in great proximity to downtown Kihei. We would stay there again.

We stayed for a week at this condo. The condo and surroundings were clean. Kitchen was equipped with cooking utensils. It’s a short drive to Safeway grocery store, farmers market, gas station and restaurants. The lanai looking over the ocean is beautiful.

We really enjoyed the property. Quiet building. Great location centrally located so it’s an easy drive to anywhere on the island. We are already making plans for next year. We will try to get the same condo. Friends we traveled with have stayed here multiple times and report all condos are very nice. Two thumbs up!

We don’t care for high rise buildings when in Hawaii, but wanted to be close to our son’s wedding venue. Outside appearance of buildings looked dated and sad, but our condo was beautiful and well appointed!

Much appreciation to April for juggling our booking through the Covid shutdowns - thank you! We were looking for a place outside the busyness/noise of the Kihei strip and this is exactly that, situated at the north of Kihei Rd. Very clean, well equipped condo with a great balcony sunset view. The resort has a pool, chairs and a beach, not a 5 star Maui beach but good enough if you don't feel like packing up and driving to somewhere like Makena, etc. Would stay here again.

My family absolutely loved this place. Yes it’s a little dated but the location is perfect! The place was clean and simple. Had everything you can possibly need for the beach. Ice chest, umbrella, beach chairs, snorkel gear, towels, etc…. Everything you need is in driving distance. Target, Walmart, beaches. And the view!!!! Omg! Right in front of the water. You can hear the waves at night. I will come back and stay here again!

The condo is exactly as described, if not better. The check in was easy and I appreciated that the owner made check out as easy as possible with no cleaning...because why? We are on vacation after all! She was very thoughtful in providing boogie boards. snorkeling gear (we rented our own from downstairs), beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler. Even the kitchen was stocked with supplies that no one wants to have to shop for ~ coffee filters, foil, storage bags, extra sponges and even laundry detergent. Place was sparkling clean, the bed was comfy and communication was easy. I appreciate ease of booking from start to finish and have found my go to place to stay for Maui. I am looking forward to staying at April's place for many years to come. If you are looking to book here ~ I say do it! Mahalo :)

Amazing location. Host is super awesome. Responsive to inquires both before and during stay. Most importantly I was amazed they have all the beach amenities like beach chairs, towels, snorkeling sets, mats and and ICE CHEST! The location is perfect. Pool was cleaned every day so very clean. Fast internet and cable TV. Nice hot showers with perfect water pressure. The washer and dryer made it super convenient. A/C in unit runs super cold. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need. We didn't use the BBQ but is definitely a plus! We would 100% revisit this hosts location again.

Excellently maintained unit on a beautiful property on the beach! We spent the first half of our honeymoon here and found the location to be ideal for our excursions to Hana, Big Beach, and Haleakala. Nice amenities and snorkel gear/beach towels are included within the unit, and most useful to us of all, an in-unit W/D which was exactly what we needed!

Perfect location for our family. We loved the proximity to the pool and beach. The resort is also close to other attractions on the island. My boys had a blast. The unit itself was clean and the perfect size for us. We really enjoyed our stay!

While this property isn't the newest or fanciest, it was just right for us. Right on the beach, not too far from shopping and arterial roads to get us to all our island adventures. It had all the essentials and extras, like beach chairs, cooler for packing a picnic, snorkel gear, a fully stocked kitchen (just add food), Maui travel guidebooks, excellent WiFi. Our only regret is that we didn't have enough time to watch the whole series of Sopranos DVD! (Of course, we only watched after dark!) We lost power for a few hours during the epic storm while we were here - it only added to the adventure!

The property was exactly as described. Amazing views and close access to the pool, beach, elevator, and stairs. It was stocked with many essentials, including laundry detergent. It was extremely quiet, although I think most of the units immediately adjacent were not occupied. I LOVED the check out procedure--there was none! Just turning off lights. By far the best and easiest check out of all the VRBO properties we've stayed at. I hope to return to Maui and will definitely try to stay here again.

We loved this condo. Amazing views, great pool, and a beach a few steps away from the door. The condo itself was so quiet (we never heard anyone in the other units even though they were occupied). The kitchen was well stocked, the AC kept the unit ccool, and the bed was very comfortable. Super easy check in and check out process.

Wow…this place was awesome! They had everything…chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, umbrella, beach towels and an ice chest plus much more! The views are breath taking! We went from 7/31-8/10 with a huge group and everyone who saw our room liked it better than theirs and most had ocean front rooms. Definitely worth staying again!!

This condo was.a nice place to stay. Location is fairly central on the south side of the island. Pictures are accurate. We really enjoyed opening the sliding doors and having that indoor/outdoor living. When the doors are closed you do not hear anything from the pool area.

Quick summary: Absolutely beautiful resort & property! Paradise resort location with a great beach and many amenities. Unit 312 was clean, spacious for a family of 3, updated, stocked with EVERYTHING you need, and beautifully located on the 3rd floor with postcard views!
More in-depth: We were new to VRBO when searching for a place to stay in Maui. We finally found Sugar Beach Resort Unit 312. So glad we did! The owners were easy and helpful to work with during the booking and beyond. The local property manager, Myra, was super nice and helpful! Sugar Beach Resort might be the best location in Kihei. Beautiful beach, not crowed, good boogie board surf, & decent snorkeling. This resort is on the far north end of Kihei, so it's not busy, but super easy to access many shops/restaurants and the various roads that connect the other parts of the island. The resort has a great pool, hot tub, and area for sun bathing. It also has outdoor grills, a koi pond, snorkel / beach gear rental, spa/massage, & a restaurant. Unit 312 was so well-equipped. We stayed during the last week of June so having good AC was nice! 312 has a spacious master bedroom with an amazing walk-in shower. Fully stocked kitchen and a nice dining/living space with a comfortable fold-out couch. The unit as a large window near the dining table and then two large sliding doors to the lanai. The lanai has a small dining table and four chairs. The VIEW is SO amazing! Just like you'd see on a postcard! With a west facing room, you'll experience gorgeous sunsets every evening! And the sun doesn't bake you in the morning while enjoying breakfast / coffee on the lanai. We dined out a few times and did some exploring, but if & when we go back, I think we'd spend most every day and evening at the resort & room. It just has everything you need & want! I also believe this unit was priced right compared to other places we researched. We'd love to come back and stay even longer!
