There were many positives about the condo. Its location is fabulous. The beach was perfect. However, we found the condo was lacking in other areas. The dishwasher is corroded and gives off a bad smell when you open it. The refrigerator’s filter needed to be changed, and would beep after a few days of ignoring it, so we had to reset it without replacing the filter. The outside table was dirty when we arrived but once I messaged the owner it was cleaned. However, the windows looking outside were still covered in salt water. There were also no paper towels but those were also brought in once we messaged the owner. No nose tissues and we were given 2 1 oz shampoos and conditioners and body wash. Not enough for a week with 2 adults and 1 child. The carpet should be replaced as it is quite worn and the bathroom fan was filled with dust and debris. I usually don’t leave negative notes, but after being charged what a 5 star hotel was charging a night, I was not thrilled with the accommodations. We have stayed many times in Maui and won’t be coming back to this unit. With that said, our friends stayed in the next building and they only paid $450 a night and didn’t have the same issues.

Property was very clean and had everything you could need. It's right in front of the beach so you can wake up and take a morning stroll or have a romantic walk in the evening. Or just sit back on the recliner and enjoy a beautiful view. The owners were very accommodating with a special request we had. I would 100% come back to this condo.

Had an absolute wonderful vacation staying at this beautifully decorated and roomy condo. The condo was very spacious for 4 adults and had all the items you needed to feel at home. Views are gorgeous all day long and especially the sunsets. The location was perfect as you felt like you had a private beach, there was always room at the pool, and the Beach House restaurant was excellent. The restaurant had a fun, causal atmosphere with good food, large portions, and a very friendly staff. In terms of traveling to shopping or excursions you were there in 10-25 minutes. This resort is not in the middle of the busy resort area and therefore felt relaxing and laid back. Thank you for the great communication and attention to detail.

Could not be happier with our condo. Everything was perfect and exactly as pictured. Location is great, close to parking, the pool and the beach. Property was beautifully maintained, and the on-site Beach House restaurant was great! Appreciated the secure wireless, the air conditioning & all the wonderful kitchen amendments. My family had 3 condos rented at this property (including a penthouse), and ours was by far, the best! I would definitely stay here again!

The condo is as described, but was actually bigger than the pictures had me believe. It was nicely appointed and had everything we needed. Everything is updated, and it was very convenient having the washer and dryer. The view is AMAZING! We spent the most time out on the lanai and saw a ton of whales. It was great having the AC, as it was quite warm this March during our visit. Also appreciated having the little cart available to take to the beach. Owner responded quickly to get us a blanket for the pull-out. We had a wonderful, relaxing visit and would highly recommend this unit.

Amazing view just like how it’s listed directly facing ocean. Modern and fresh living space kids really loved it. Very spacious, neat and clean with all the essential amenities. Saw some whales from the beach! The host was very prompt with communicating any inquiries we had. Would definitely come back to stay!!!

We loved our stay at this beautifully furnished condo. Very convenient to have a restaurant just downstairs. We like it better than our usual stay on Kaanapali beach condo - quieter and more peaceful.

We stayed with another couple and it was WONDERFUL!! Having 2 master suites was so nice! The condo is beautiful and I honestly don’t think there’s a better view than right out the huge window overlooking the ocean with the most comfortable chairs to sit and enjoy it!! The condo had every appliance and kitchen gadget you could possible need. Our only issue was the shower curtains are too high so you constantly fight it to stay inside the shower so water doesn’t get all over the floor and the mattress in the ocean view bedroom needs to be replaced. You literally have to lay right in the edge of that bed or you roll to the middle. Our friends actually slept on the couch a couple nights because their back hurt from it. But that’s a simple fix for the owners and the condo and view are absolutely incredible!!! We highly recommend staying here!!!

We had the pleasure of visiting the property the first week of January. We originally had a travel agent setting up our travel but once I saw the cost of the insanely expensive resort, We immediately went to VRBO & there was Sands of Kahana.. available for ONLY the days we needed. MEANT TO BE. The unit is clean and better than the pictures! It truly felt like home from the moment we walked in. The property itself was exactly what we wanted.. beautiful view, beach access, pool and a restaurant on site. The toddler pool was truly a fantastic addition we didn't even know was there until arrival which worked out perfect for our 2 year old. The unit has EVERYTHING you can think of to cook with + the BBQs are right below the balcony so you can yell down at the "drillmaster" to ask when the steaks will be done. :-) If you're on the fence about booking this condo, DO IT. You will have the best time. Thank you so much again! We WILL be back.

My now husband and I stayed one week in November for our wedding. The property was perfect! Absolutely beautiful, clean, and was fully stocked with everything you may need and more. The lanai overlooked the Ocean and was wonderful to sit and watch the sunsets or look for sea turtles. The property is in close proximity to stores and restaurants. I will definitely book again!

Our unit at Sands of Kahana was fabulous. The view could not have been better. We loved the restaurant, pool, and hot tubs. Beach area is not real large but also never very crowded which is great. I can’t say enough great things about this particular condo. It’s great!

We would give this place 6 stars if we could! The unit is beautiful, well-appointed, well laid out, and in a perfect spot within the complex, for logistical and view reasons. By this, I mean that it's location is perfect for being out of the way enough to not feel too close to walking traffic, but very convenient to parking and to getting to the pool, the beach, or whatever you want to use in the complex. We loved the location on the island because of promimity for many of the amenities along this section of coastline, as well as the beautiful sunsets. Having a rental car made it very easy to go to many excursions, including spending time down in Lahaina and similar. Road to Hana and Haleakalā (volcano) are roughly 45 mins away. Considering all factors, I'm not sure we could have picked a better spot and we're very thankful we found this place for such a big family vacation and adventure. We were able to check pretty much every box that we set out to check in terms of what we were able to do while we were here. And the extreme comfort of this unit made everything that much more perfect. We hope to come back in the future, but if we don't we have memories for a lifetime from this vacation. It's amazing by the way, to what extent the view is so perfect! You almost want to think that it is maybe photoshopped before you get here. But then every morning you wake up and there it is - the most pristine and perfect and beautiful view! We are very sad to be saying Aloha and Mahalo at this time, but like I said we will have memories for a lifetime! Feel very comfortable booking this unit for your Maui adventure!

This is an excellent deal all the way around. There was mold on the base of the shower curtains. We left dish washer detergent pods. We stripped the bedding and the duvet cover for washing. I was surprised that someone complained about SOK as a whole but liked 326. We’ve never had a bad meal at the grill. We usually go off property if we are not esting in.

To risk sounding like a broken record echoing the other reviews, our stay at this condo was fantastic. The view is gorgeous, the beach right outside was great for swimming and pretty good for snorkeling. We saw several turtles. Honolua bay, which is a great snorkel spot is just 10 min up the road. We were a multigenerational family group (no kids) and had room to spread out. The kitchen is very well stocked with appliances and cooking essentials. The owners are very responsive and helpful. Loved our Stay. Location of the condo is to die for. We saw whales every single day. Condo is equipped with everything. Beach is just floors below. We had the kayaks rented for 4 days and that was right on the beach below. Highly recommend! Totally worth the price!

The view from the condo is seriously spectacular ! Location is perfect as the condo sits just off the beach and you can listen to the surf at your hearts content. The condo has everything you need including beautiful decor, comfy furniture, and a fabulous lanai for whale watching and outside dining. Sands of Kahana resort is one of the few resorts past Kanapali beaches that actually has beachfront property so need to drive to the beach. We did enjoy Kanapali and Kapalua beaches as well. Although the pics capture the beauty of this resort condo, nothing compares to its actual beauty. If you’re thinking about staying here, do it!!

I was excited to finally see this condo to confirm if the five star reviews were true and I can tell you, they are. The space is clean and new, the condo has everything a family could possibly want or need (every cooking tool, Tupperware, air conditioning, laundry, white noise machines/alarm clocks in the bedrooms — just ask Alexa to play white noise, and boogie boards and beach chairs. The view of the ocean is out of this world. You could not get a view this good and close to the ocean even in the best room at a five star hotel. Our kids, 8 and 11, loved the pool and the beach, and the ocean water was calm for swimming and playing. Owners were incredibly communicative, responsive and helpful. Truly an excellent home base if you’re visiting Maui. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and will recommend it to friends. Mahalo nui loa!

We came here to celebrate my husbands 40th with our 1 year old and my parents. We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing place to stay. This condo had a view that you can only see to believe!! It felt like a dream every day looking out the window. The kitchen had everything and more!! We were able to cook or prepare meals everyday… they even had Tupperware containers, which came in handy for our lil guy! The patio was perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of wine! The AC really helped us cool off after a full day on the private, not busy at all beach! The rooms were comfortable, the master had a very comfortable bed.. the 2nd bedroom was nice too, it was nice it was sort of on its own side of the apt - so was nice for privacy.
You absolutely can’t go wrong with this place, we plan to stay here next time we come back! Thank you for your generosity and hospitality (and the wine and chocolates for my husbands bday)!

It was so nice to have enough space to sprawl out, a full sized kitchen to cook meals, and a gorgeous view from the lanai dining I never felt like I was missing anything by having meals in the condo. The beach and pools were great and super convenient. There was an awesome little park just a short drive south and sheltered bays up in Napili. We had a truly great stay!

Been to Maui several times and this has been the best of experiences. Pictures on the Web very accurately depict what you see in person. Beautiful views from the 2nd floor windows and lanai. Close to Lahaina for necessities. Treat yourself to a morning stroll along the beach, a dip in the pool or relax in one of the two spas. Or, do absolutely nothing and unwind. Aloha!

We spent one week at the beginning of August in this comfortable, well equipped home away from home. The condo is exactly as the photos portrayed. There is plenty of comfortable seating for dining and lounging. The patio couch and table are perfect for afternoon refreshments. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for meal preparation, including sharp knives! The bedrooms and bathrooms are roomy and comfortable. The resort has many amenities, kayak, SUP, snorkeling equipment rentals and the beach front suited our needs with a 3 year old. For carry out we enjoyed Dollies Pub & Cafe and Misho Phat directly across the street from the resort. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband & I have traveled to many places around the world and almost exclusively stay in rentals by owners. This one is top notch! SOK checked the box with having a pool, beachfront, restaurant/bar on site, lovely grounds, and near enough to many restaurants, including walking distance to a brewery, 5-star sushi and a surprisingly great pizza place at Dollie’s. #326 is located on the 2 floor of the Triton building, so it’s just a quick couple flights down (or elevator when you’re feeling lazy, no shame in our game) to the pool/beach or parking garage, where there was plenty of covered parking. The condo is large, decorated very nicely, super clean, lots of hangers, and a very functional A/C. The layout of the condo is great and perfect if staying with another couple or kids as everyone has their own half of the condo with private bathroom. It was only the 2 of us, but not having to share a bathroom with my husband was a perk! I loved sitting on the large lanai in the morning with my coffee and late nights star gazing with a bottle of wine. And the best part was everything we could ever think to want was there – binoculars, beach umbrella, cooler, etc. You need it, it’s probably there! The owner was super communicative and stopped by immediately to change out some burnt light bulbs. A couple of tips: I’d recommend packing can coolers/insulated cups if you plan to have a beverage at the pool. Note, the Beach House does not allow you to take drinks out of the restaurant. If you’re petite, a makeup mirror will be helpful. Stop at a nearby grocery store for the best poke and pick up $5 inflatable floats or a noodle – you won’t regret it! If you’re taking the red eye home and want to stay on site longer after you check out, you will need to have your own towel. SOK will not provide you any towels, including if you want to use the communal Hospitality Room, which has shower stalls to rinse off. There is a light that somehow turns on/off behind a locked door next to the W/D. It’s not a problem, just a mystery that I hope someone smarter than me can solve :) I hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did. For the price, you definitely won’t find a better rental and location than this one – believe me, I looked at every SINGLE one! Mahalo!

My wife was stunned with the view when we first walked in and loved the decorations. The condo was perfect for our family of five and the kitchen had everything we needed for home cooked meals.
The beach, pool and centric location, but away from the hectic environments of Lahaina and Kaanapali Beach was just what we needed.

We loved this condo! Beautiful view plus it was easy to go to the beach and the pool whenever we wanted. There was also easy walking to a few places for food and easy access if we were going to drive anywhere. Last but not least it truly felt like home - comfortable beds, quality everything! There was no skimping just to rent it out. Will be back for sure!
