We have vacationed on Maui many times, but this condo was the best we've ever had for whale watching. My 86 year old mother has mobility issues, but she loved sitting on the lanai watching the whales play in the ocean everyday. One morning, we counted, and we were spotting a whale every 10 seconds! They hang out in the waters right in front of the condo, and your vantage point is high from the 6th floor, so the whale watching is phenomenal.The complex is 2 older high rise buildings right on the coast. They surround a small pool that was heated like bath water. We swam every day and used the grillls by the pool, too. You can also snorkel right in front with the sea turtlles, but keep your distance. There is a small store, gas station, sports bar, and Maui Brewing a short walk away.The unit was clean and adequate. We loved the fact that each bedroom had a king bed and its own lanai. If you prefer twins, the owner can set it up that way as well.We had a couple minor things pop up in the condo and told Andrew not to hurry to fix, but he was right on it. They were fixed immediately. He was the most responsive rental owner I have ever had. I definitely reccommend staying at Andrew's condo.

Wonderful 2-bedroom with great views. Although it’s on the water, there’s no actual beach, but there’s one within walking distance. Location makes it an easy drive to many other beaches, the northwest end of Maui and grocery stores in Lahaina, and there’s a convenience store, liquor store and a couple restaurants within walking distance. Although the unit has no AC, opening windows and doors lets the breezes flow through and kept us comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

Four of us (2 couples) stayed here for 15 nights. It felt like we landed in heaven. Whales, rainbows, a warm pool, fabulous bedrooms (both with fuse and comfortable king beds, and our own bathrooms! This place is well equipped but was filthy upon arrival. Cold showers for 14 days. No response to phone calls; just a bunch of "I'm sorrys" for days. Finally, someone was sent but didn't do anything but take pictures. I found an empty soda can and absolute filth under the master bed. Cleaning people were sent in, but floors still did not get mopped per our dirty socks. In total there were 3 maintenance workers,1 plumber and someone that thinks they know how to clean. Nothing was corrected. Storm on our 2nd to last night (14 nights) flooded 1 bathroom and 1 bedroom due to faulty door & window seals. Screen door out to lanai was difficult to open/close. We took down 2 wine classes; 1 had dead bugs in it and the other had something dried gold colored. There were dirty socks, not ours, on 1 side of the washer and a lot of other things on the other side. I insisted they refund our cleaning fee; however, they did not refund us the correct amount. We were told we would be refunded 100/night; however, that amount is not correct either. Our final invoice had an additional charge that they will not explain. The accounting and accountability have been horrible. I've been home for 3 weeks and have held off giving this review as I've been hoping they will make things right. I've contacted the Hawaii Tax Dept, the Office of Consumer Protection, and the owner of the property. Next is the BBB to complain about My Perfect Stays, which is an absolute misnomer. This is my 1st ever bad review

This is our second stay here. Amazing place! Great, prompt communication with manager. Barbecues were spotless, and the heated pool was great. Amazing views. We watched whales all day long. There was nothing missing from the condo. Large number of fans kept the unit cool. Parking was underground which kept our vehicle cool, plus there was a car wash station provided. Looking forward to booking again soon.

We had a truly wonderful stay. The view is amazing. The lanai was our favorite place to be…whale watching and turtle spotting was nonstop. It is the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee and evening cocktails with the spectacular sunsets as a backdrop!The unit was extremely clean with very comfortable beds. We appreciated the little touch’s- charging ports throughout, plenty of paper products and cleaning supplies( laundry detergent, dish soap etc), beach gear( chairs, coolers,boogie boards, snorkel gear) and kitchen supplies. The pool is just outside the unit and heated! The grills are cleaned daily and look brand new. Joseph was an attentive host.We highly recommend his place!

The spacious lanai offers outstanding ocean views. There was quite a lot of whale activity during our stay and being on the seventh floor gave us a great vantage point. We spent more time than we normally might have on the lanai. The kitchen is well stocked with dinnerware, pots and pans, cooking utensils, etc. This is a corner unit which allows for good ventilation with open windows. The condo is dated and a bit worn but quite comfortable.

HLA204 is exactly as described and in the pics! Beautiful ocean views from EVERY room! Saw several whales from the balcony and even saw a turtle one of the mornings! GREAT LOCATION - 3min walk to Hawaiian Village coffee shop, Maui Brewing, Snorkel Bob's Surf Shop and Whaler's General Store (at the gas station). Also 3min walk in one direction to China Boat Restaurant (recommended - take out only) and the other direction to Miso Phat Sushi (recommended - reservations required) and Dollie's Pub (recommended). 8min drive to Black Rock beach (highly recommended - great snorkeling!) and Whalers Village (shopping, restaurants, etc - highly recommended) and Airport Beach (recommended - snorkeling). Also just a 5min drive to food truck park (highly recommended) and grocery store. On site HEATED pool is awesome - we went in for a dip almost each evening! Although there is technically "a beach access" by the property it's not really a beach...if you want one within walking distance, walk 7mins north (past China Boat restaurant) and there's an access point to Kahana Village Beach Bay which feels quite secluded and private. Management company was very responsive before, during and after our stay! The beach chairs, towels and hard-top cooler that are provided in the unit were fantastic - we used them almost every day and saved us the hassle (and ) of renting them! Overall, great unit, great location that I would highly recommend - Mahalo!!

This property is amazing. The view from the balcony is worth everything. I was there with my husband, sister and her hubby, and their 16 year old daughter. The space is comfortable with plenty of seating, and we saw whales every single day from our balcony. The sound of the water was very soothing. And the beds were quite comfortable. The second bedroom can be seen by the balcony, though there are curtains across them. The washer and dryer were very handy, and a lot of extra amenities, like detergent, and hydrogen peroxide, which we unfortunately needed, and some aloe, among many other things. The beach chairs and towels were so helpful to have. A lot of spices and condiments on the cupboards and fridge too. I’m sure some were left by previous renters:)Melissa was extremely responsive to any questions I had, and very nice. It’s a little north of the bigger resorts, but walking distance o a few restaurants. Miso Phat was amazing!! All in all, I’d give it 10 stars if I could

Our stay at the Hula Hideaway was an excellent escape from the hustle and bustle of Kaanapali. Views were excellent, BBQ was in great working order, whole VRBO was excellent.

The only thing was that the one room has zero privacy and very little space from the rest of the rental. The other couple with us couldn’t put their bags in their room because there was simply not enough room.

This property worked well for our family of five (youngest was 3 and oldest kid was 7). The condo was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, and the pool was heated and great for early(ish) morning and late(ish) evening swims.
We love this area of the island and the easy access to kid friendly beaches just a short drive away. We'd definitely stay here again!

The property was quiet and as advertised. It was expected to be older decor but it was clean. Beds were comfortable. The only thing I wish I knew was the master bedroom windows had no coverings or screens, making me uncomfortable with the leaving them fully open for the breeze. The wind was very strong one day, we had a towel we brought fly out the window. So use caution with the windows and strong trade winds. We had a wonderful time in Maui and this condo was chefs kiss! The views from the balcony were amazing. It looked like we were right on the water. We saw a lot of sea turtles every day. The condo was clean and well stocked. There were beach chairs and a cooler for trips to the beach. We were nervous about not having a/c but the cool sea breeze and variety of fans kept us comfortable. My Perfect Stays property management made sure our vacation home was perfect. They communicated with us to make sure everything was working well for us. The whole property was well maintained. The pool was cleaned everyday and the grills by the pool were spotless! Would stay here again!

Our stay wasn’t good at all. The property doesn’t have AC but each room has a fan that makes a lot of noise 24/7 because if you turn it off, you can’t breathe. So that AC situation made our stay very uncomfortable. The unit and especially kids’ room is so dark, gloomy, outdated and absolutely not worth $3,500. We would rather go for 7 nights with Honua Kai for the same price! The location is so-so. No beach access, no boardwalk, no sidewalks. The second floor corner doesn’t look safe and there is a lot of echo outside. On the first night, due to jet lag, the kids woke up early in the morning and started playing on the balcony, a few minutes later I got a message from the manager saying we had to be quiet until 8am. It felt like you were trapped. In my honest opinion, I wouldn’t recommend this place to stay especially with kids.

Most amazing views I've ever seen. Yes, views. Molokai off one balcony and Lanai off the other. Breathe taking. One of the reasons I chose this property is the location, it cannot be topped. The condo is spectacular, plain and simple. The exterior floors and railings are cleaned daily. I was so impressed. Who needs The Four Seasons? After this vacation, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. I absolutely Loved Holohani. Mahalo to Perfect Stays for a perfect vacation.

After a bit of a rough start, this place was perfect for our stay! Our issues were resolved in a timely manner and the owner was more than kind. The couch could use an update, but was comfortable, the beds were comfortable and the hearing the ocean while laying in bed was definitely an added bonus. The view was spectacular at any time of day. Having no a/c was not an issue, but you may want to think twice in the really hot months. We enjoyed our stay!

We stayed a week end of September/beginning of October with our daughter and son-in-law. The condo is situated perfectly for two couples to be comfortable. The condo is dated but that didn’t matter considering we were out and about most of our stay. The unit is spotless and we had everything we needed for every aspect of the vacation. I particularly was happy with the seating on the lanai. The view is incredible and we watched the sunset in comfort! Having coffee in the morning on the lanai was a favorite for all of us. I stress the seating because we’ve been places where the chairs were awful and it ruins the experience.

Couldn’t ask for better views, amazing balcony overlooking the ocean and the ocean is also easily visible from both bedrooms. Both bedrooms were spacious as were the bathrooms. There’s no AC but it wasn’t really an issue for us, only really noticed it in the evenings in the living room, otherwise the fans were enough and there were additional portable fans if needed. The pool area was nice too, and the kitchen was well stocked. All this for a competitive price as well!

It was smaller than we thought it would be and there was no beach access which was kind of a bummer.
This room specifically is right above the property manager and right by the pool. Due to there being no A/C, the doors had to stay open for the wonderful breeze but it did make it a little difficult to watch TV and bc we are already hard of hearing we got in trouble with the property manager for our TV being too loud bc she was right outside our opened doors. We just didn’t watch TV the rest of the tim and all was fine.
