Sadly we did not have a good experience here. My family and I tried to stick it out for the length of our stay but ended up leaving 4 days early to check into a hotel. The place is just run down. The photos in the listing do not match what you see in real life. The place has been very “lived in”. I know this is someone’s vacation rental so I hate to leave a bad review but the rental company really needs to reach out to the owners to update some key issues in the place. First off, the bugs. I believe they are palmetto bugs, some type of roach. We found three and the last straw was when I found one crawling on my daughter on the couch. I got a notice that a company was coming to spray the inside of the condo and how I had to let them in on a certain date and that we couldn’t be in the condo for an hour after spraying. Not ok with me. Clearly they knew there were issues with bugs. The towels were not up to standards. They looked like gym socks. The shower curtain had stains. The curtains in the room with the twin beds had stains as well. We paid money to stay here, you want to feel like you are taken care of to some extent. Pro- the pool is right there and the beach is right across the trees pictured with a small park. I did tell the rental company we left early and followed all the check out rules. They wished I contacted sooner to make our stay more enjoyable but nothing was going to do that once I saw bugs on my daughter.

No ocean view from condo as stated in description, beach inaccessible to guests (locked gate and fencing) accept to trespassers who entered property via beach from adjacent park. The resort grill and pool were over 182 steps and 2 stairwells away not "just steps away" as listed in description. Horrific pot and cigerette smoke prevented us from using whirlpool due to homeless people in adjacent park. Excessive noise from property parking lot and building maintenance 6 of 8 days, 7.5 hours daily from diesel cranes. Attempted to email, call and text VRBO host with no reply. Very disappointing experience and far beneath our expectations based on reviews in VRBO description. Property photos do not match those in VRBO description. Had we been made aware of property under maintenance or no ocean view from condo we would have chosen elsewhere.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The condo has a gorgeous ocean view with 2 lanais. The kitchen is well equipped and there are grills down by the pool if you want to grill up some food. The beds were very comfortable! There is also a locker downstairs with beach chairs, pool toys, a cooler, which were handy for the trip to the beach. Jill was a wonderful host.

We loved our stay at this VRBO. Bree was quick to respond and check in was seamless. The room was clean and suited our needs. The view from the lanai is STUNNING. It is an older building but the view more than makes up for that. The pool & hot tub were very nice and clean and are located right on the ocean which is a plus. Plenty of parking available and within walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants. We really hope to return and would stay here again. The only thing I was disappointed in is that there is a temporary fence up along the seawall that was unsightly and slightly obstructed the view (see photo), however I was able to get past it in the end!

We had a FANTASTIC stay at the Paki Maui! You cannot beat the location. We walked to the beach next door and saw turtles and a monk seal! The beach is great for kids to swim. The sunsets were amazing! Parking was easy and the host was very helpful and responsive. We will definitely come again!

This was the perfect place for our extended family of 9 adults and two infants. Great kitchen appliances, good WiFi and comfy beds. We loved the pool and being right next door to the beach and were very happy that beach towels and beach chairs were provided. We also loved being able to walk to a bakery, grocery store, and food truck park. And the view from the lanais (balconies) was fantastic! There were only two downsides: no soap or shampoos in the bathrooms and we couldn’t figure out how to make the AC work. However, as soon as we contacted Amy the manager she came and told us that you need to close both the sliders to the deck in order to use the AC even if you only want to use it in a bedroom. After that we had no problem.

I stayed in this charming waterfront studio in Kaanapali for 5 nights and had an enjoyable experience. It’s a good spot to relax and soak in the ocean views and sea breeze. Sunsets from the patio were stunning, and I especially loved starting each morning with coffee while watching the first light stretch across the water.The studio was well-equipped with everything I needed for cooking, and there were plenty of fans to help with the heat, which was manageable even without air conditioning. At night, I kept the windows open and let the sound of the waves lull me to sleep. Daytime naps were a bit toasty, but the oceanfront location made it worth it.The beach out front features a lava shelf, but at low tide, a gap becomes visible, allowing you to wade out into shallow waters that are somewhat protected by a second lava shelf about 100 feet offshore. The water provided a refreshing swim.One lovely bonus was the wildlife — every evening around sunset, three sea turtles would come by to graze on the lava shelf right in front of the unit. It was such a special sight.All in all, this studio offered a front-row seat to nature and the ocean — peaceful, simple, and relaxing. I’d stay here again.

we expected more. The online pictures and description conjured up in our minds a clean, well-maintained and updated condo. It was partially updated, yes. View was spectacular, yes. Cleanliness, no. It was not up to par, which made us wonder what other shortcuts had been taken by the cleaning crew. When I contacted Amy the manager about it, she didn't get back to me. I ended up calling her when the microwave broke on day 3 out of our 9-day stay. When I kindly asked if we could get another one, she felt she had to remind me that we were on an island and that everything had to come in on a boat, but she would see if they had a counter one in storage. (Keep in mind, there is both a Home Depot and a Costco less than an hour away.) I thanked her and she did bring it over the next day. No word ever about the cleanliness. (If you wonder if we are being too picky, there was a big wad of black hair in the master shower. Thick dust on artificial plant in bdrm 2 and on fan. Dirty handprints on doors.) We would not stay again.

We brought our 4 adult kids on this vacation, the two penthouses were absolutely perfect for us. It allowed them to have their own area but still were able to spend quality time together. I can’t say enough about the owners. They were so easy to work with and gave us so much insight of places to eat and explore. This Condo is wonderful! I am a bit of a neat freak and this condo was perfect. The floors and bathrooms were clean, bedding and towels smelled fresh. The kitchen had everything you need for an extended stay, although we didn't cook. The beach towels and snorkeling gear were really useful. The AC is cold, when needed but keep the doors open and listen to those amazing waves! It's healing and relaxing!The building is surrounded by beautiful flowers and you smell them all the time. The balcony views are to die for! I had breakfast and coffee every morning while watching the sunrise. We swam with Sea Turtles literally right outside the condo. This was my favorite part of the trip!We walked daily to get coffee, pastries, snacks, fresh fish, pizza, ice cream, etc... This place really does have it all and totally felt like home!

Location is great, just north of the more expensive resorts with several eateries & food trucks within walking distance or a short drive. Excellent snorkeling spots nearby. The condo was comfortable & clean. The A/C was nice, but not needed overnight with the breeze. The property is oceanfront with a retaining wall. The steps to the beach were fenced off, likely due to being worn & uneven. People would go around to get down to the beach or come through the beach park next door. The beach is best used during low tide as it dissappears as the tide rises. There's a break in the rocks to get to the calmer area between the 2 rows of rocks. The water was clear, about 4' near the back row of rocks. Overall we had an excellent time & would recommend Paki 109.

The view makes it worth the money spent. The condo grounds and bldg are in shambles and under construction. There is a beautiful beach but no safe access to it, every access was broken. Sink holes on the grass. The only thing that wasn’t made clear is exactly how hot it gets on the deck during certain hours. From 2-630 you have to leave the room, easily gets to 100 degrees, no AC in the unit. I am usually ok with that. We went to the pool or just went out during those hours. We were not told prior that the sliders are broken and don’t lock, they did provide bars. No safe, disturbing if there is a slider issue. We were told it was safe there, but the property is next to a public park. Transients often wandering the property from there, at all hours. The good was the kitchen is fulling stocked, the coffee pot was super nice. The pool was decent, only 4ft deep, enough to cool off. The entire place is nice and quiet. Sunrise and sunsets and view is phenomenal. Our unit was clean, super clean. The bed was comfortable, pillows very old and the comforter was too small for the bed. The Lanai is perfect size, lots of beach items available, super nice! Snorkel gear, cooler, chairs, umbrellas. Very nice to have those items. The couch is painfully uncomfortable. I actually cleaned and organized the entire porch and the usable beach “stuff”.The beach finds on the deck table was a turn off, leave the items in the sea. And it was junky looking. 3 stars is fair.

We had an overall beautiful and enjoyable stay at this property. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, that made us feel right at home. The garden was beautiful—a peaceful, lush space that truly elevated the experience. The beachfront location is unbeatable, just steps from a gorgeous beach and a nearby park that is perfect for small children. With shops and restaurants within walking distance, we didn’t need a car at all, which made things very convenient.Property management was responsive and helpful. When we arrived to find the toilet broken, it was repaired quickly. They even responded swiftly when our toddler locked us out on the balcony!There were a few areas that could be improved. The guest bed was not made upon arrival, and the apartment lighting setup was a bit confusing, with multiple switches and remotes. Most notably, the maintenance coordination could be better. Nearly every day, there were workers around doing various tasks—lawn mowing, leaf blowing, pest control, gardening, koi pond cleaning, plumbing, and even construction. The constant activity disrupted the peaceful atmosphere.Despite that, we truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property to others—especially families looking for a beachside getaway with easy access to local amenities

A central location; no A/C but it didn't matter; no microwave or oven was minimal inconvenience; comfortable bed; appropriate beach and water toys. Nearby restaurants, fins, masks, concierge service for access to multiple programs; easy parking; secure.The major hassle was that the TV and streaming service had apparently been separately purchased by the owners and was not consistent with other Paki Maui services. The "TV Guy" thru the caretakers had no idea how to handle the handheld controller so we had no TV access for 10 of the 12 days we were there. Just read a lot of books and obtained news from our computers (great Wi-Fi access) but no TV or Netflix, etc.Would easily return and there is apparently a "deal" for repeat visitors.

This condo had its plusses and minuses. On the plus side, the view from the lanai was amazing. We could see Molokai, the sunset, and whales on this migration route. On the minus side was a funky stove, a terrible sleeper sofa, a tiny pool, and no beach access, though it was next to a park. Again on the plus side, our host Heather was always very responsive and helpful with various problems we had...even bought a new tv so we could watch Netflix.

The condo was as described-very nice! We enjoyed sitting on the lanai and watching whales and turtles. We loved sleeping to the sound of the “crashing” waves. The sunsets were spectacular. Most nights we simply walked across the street to one of the takeout places for fish and ate on the lanai watchig the sunset. We did not use the pool or barbeques but they looked great. For some reason the stairs to the beach were blocked off. I'm not sure how others got to the nice, but small strip of beach. I wasn't expecting much of a beach so that was fine with me. (I'm a bit on the elderly side so wasn't too adventurous!) Thanks for the use of your condo. I'd stay there again! PS the malassadas at the neighboring ABC store were a great treat. Once we discovered them we had them 3 days! Yum!

Our stay at the Maui Penthouse in Honokowai was terrific. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. The condo units were exactly as described on VRBO, and we appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was. The beautiful views, spacious living area, and fully equipped kitchen made our stay so comfortable, and we were impressed by the attention to detail in providing everything we needed. We especially loved the location—there was beach access right outside the condo, and restaurants, snorkel equipment rental, and stores were within walking distance. Guido and Gracie provided a useful information packet full of wonderful recommendations. The view from the condo units was A.Communication with the owner and property manager was seamless, and we appreciated how quickly they responded to our questions both before and during our stay.
