We loved the unit and location.. couldn't afford to pay the big prices for the more central places and this place was an easy bus ride to the nice beaches. It was great to swim out the front here too. The added extras in the unit like snorkelling gear, beach chairs, body boards, we're all appreciated!

Spacious and fully equipped condo close to the best beaches in Maui. The owner was very helpful, especially when we had to deal with a flat tire the morning of our departure. We will certainly visit again!

When I finally got here (not that getting HERE was difficult) but, it being Tuesday- before Thanksgiving- the office was closed at 12pm. And I had searched for days beforehand for D. Susser’s name, info, ANYTHING for him- but I had nothing!
Now, I’m in a time crunch situation where- I’m tired as h to the double hockey sticks (bc I’ve gotten up at 5am my time, traveled all day, and now it’s 12am my time-8pm here). There’s a number to text, but it’s for drivers (if you don’t want to get your car towed). I try it? I get a response : “is this an emergency?” And I think to myself, no, it’s not an emergency for the tow truck driver to figure out where my owner is!?!
So, it’s~8.30pm, & I go to Travelocity? There are 2 separate units available, 1 for $2k & the other for $850, so I unwillingly go for the $850 (pre-taxes).
The next day, when I drove to Paki Maui, I’m told by David Susser, that VRBO was supposed to have emailed me a sheet with all of this info three days before my trip?
So I didn’t need worry, or fret, or press “contact VRBO” (because it will only say device disconnected, try again later!)
And don’t worry, I called David Susser, and he happily told me that VRBO was supposed to fulfill all my needs (again wrong), but he did quickly tell me about a guy who invited a guy over who happened to be a squatter (!) but he did NOT tell me that I was NOT supposed to lock the upper lock on the front door!
The entire trip would’ve been lost if it weren’t for waves

When we arrived, the place was not cleaned and was occupied by someone, perhaps a squatter ? The cleaning person did not clean earlier in the day, this not knowing someone else was in the place.

Beautiful property, well maintained. A great home from home. Lots of little extras that just complete your stay. Loved sitting out near the sea watching the turtles in the waves,. We would have loved to have seen a whale but we were out of whale season.
Good area to stay in but wouldn't have said it was Lahaina as advertised but is in Kaanapali.. I would recommend this place to everyone, and would like to think that if we make it back one day David's place would be a must.

We chose this property for the price & location. Watching whales and turtles from the beach was an added bonus. Snorkeling right off the beach was so easy compared to driving down the coast.
We knew there wasn’t air conditioning, but didn’t expect to be uncomfortable. We were. Only one fan worked well. Would have appreciated more than 2 rolls of toilet paper.

The property was cute and the bedroom was air-conditioned which was nice. I am sure the back patio would have been great to hangout on in the garden area unfortunately i am very sensitive to the smell of marijuana so I want able to open the doors up very often. Marijuana is legal for medicinal use in Hawaii so by no means am I saying anything illegal happens at the property. It was a really nice and friendly place with amazing sunsets.

We loved this place! It was clean and comfortable. We loved having breakfast by the tropical garden. The place was also very well supplied with paper towels, toilet paper, dish detergent, and even shampoo and conditioner. (Which we appreciated! This is "not a given" in a vrbo property.) We were also grateful for use of the boogie boards. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to return! Mahalo!

This is a great little condo. We love staying in this area close to Lahaina but not in the center of all the busy. Walking distance to small stores, farmers market, and food trucks. The condo was clean and had great little additions like Beach stuff, a cooler, just little things like that. It has a swamp cooler in the bedroom which was perfect for cooling the room and it has tower fans as well as ceiling fans. We did open up the doors in the evening to get the cross breeze and it was definitely comfortable for this time of year. I'm heat sensitive as well so it was definitely fine. Parking was great without any problems and there is a nice little pool and hot tub area that overlooks the ocean and has barbecues. We would definitely stay here again. David was quick to communicate with questions. Thank you for allowing us to stay and your great little condo!

My family loved this place! It was a great location with lots of food options close by. The food truck park was easily accessible and there were also dining options across the street. The kids enjoyed the pool and beach access at the park next door. Ka’anapali beach is also a short drive with a big parking lot. The unit has all of the amenities you would need for a wonderful Hawaiian vacation!! The lanai was nice area to relax and eat breakfast in the morning. I wish we were still there!!

We needed a place for 3 nights before our condo was ready. We have never stayed on the west side of the island. The condo was clean, nice, and just the perfect little spot for my family. The pool and hot tub area were nice, and sitting on the lanai staring at the tropical plants was so relaxing!

We spent a lot of time in the backyard patio. The shared common area is a well maintained tropical garden. The beach just a short walk, but rocky. We discovered some amazing sandy beaches a short drive away, great for snorkeling, swimming, walking the boardwalk, and just relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked. The apartment is lovely! We did not use the televisions. There is a small room AC in the bedroom. We tried it once, but preferred the cooling cross-breeze from the front window and back screen door. We enjoyed the beach towels and mats, but did not use the snorkeling and other beach gear.
The hosts are amazing! We had a small problem (ground floor is great, but when upper condos have water problems…). Repairs were prompt and effective, communication was excellent.
Wi-Fi is excellent, we used it for some video calls and a bit of work communication. Cell phone service on the island is not available in some areas; be sure to download Google offline map of the island before you come.
Five star reviews are too common. In this case, it is well deserved.

This was one of our favorite places to stay on our trip. The condo is beautifully decorated, very clean, and we were able to use the snorkeling and beach supplies for our day trip to Kaanapali Beach. The only thing it lacked was air conditioning so it did get pretty hot in the unit even with all the windows/doors open.
It is also within walking distance of a number of shops/places to eat. Definitely would book again if we were in the area again!

The apartment is located in the great area. Even though it’s on the ground floor the garden in the back makes you feel like you’re in a tropical rainforests. The host was amazing and very accommodating. Everything you need is in the apartment. Definitely will rent here again thank you. Thank you Dave and Cindy

This property was great. Convenient to food, shops, and high on our list was great snorkeling nearby. Hit up Black rock, Honolua Bay, and Honokeana Cove (turtles!!!) while visiting. Host was great and condo was just what we needed for the family.

The layout of the condo allows for minimal airflow + lack of AC (as other reviews mentioned) definitely made sleeping tough but overall great stay and value. We were out and about most of the trip, wish we had more time by the pool!

This apt is spotless and the entire property was immaculate. The only issue... no AC at all. I didn't notice this in the listing. We could not get the inside temp below 80 no matter what we did Both my son and I had trouble sleeping and due to a health condition I ended up with a heat rash. If you come prepared for that, you will feel like you are in paradise. The hot tub is gorgeous at night, dark sky, endless stars, sounds of the waves. And the private beach and patio is perfection.

We were a party of four, stayed for three nights. Location is in a quiet part of town, with shops for groceries and activities. The appartment itself is clean and cozy, with some bonus beach equipment (snorkels with flippers, two bodyboards). Overall - would recommend and stay again.

After taking all the days our usual Maui condo had available we decided we wanted a few more days on the island. Since we already had spent the budget we were looking for something affordable but still wanted to be close to the ocean. This place fit the bill. Lots of choices for food and activities in Kaanapali and a nice space to watch the sunrise and sunset. Not an oceanfront room but only a 2 minute walk to see the ocean, whales and the other islands.

Overall very pleased with the unit, location, layout, facilities, etc… however, there should be an instruction sheet for tv’s and fans. Batteries need replacing in the bedroom fans, ceiling and towers.. we expected that the property manager would check the unit or at least have a phone number to call on the instruction sheet, if you had one.

We loved the stay, it was close to most of our activities. The house was really great and had great food places close by. Loved the garden view and enjoyed the breeze in the evenings. The only small thing was it was a little humid due to the rain during our stay, so was a little warm inside but the super boats had a couple of portable fans which was really helpful. We knew about the air conditioning before coming so no complaints for that. Overall we had an amazing experience.

Way better than the alternative which was visiting some family in Texarkana! The place fit the bill well but maybe I missed the part where the property description disclosed that there was no beach - just a sea wall. A ten minute walk got us to a lovely Long Beach with all the resorts. We were happy. We loved the airflow and garden patio. The pool area is sad - but I always wonder at folks traveling to the tropical seas only to sit in a pool like they were in Palm Springs. Please get some decent linens!! That stuff there is really bad and good linen makes an okay bed seem luxurious. DO IT ! Otherwise, we were really happy with our stay-thanks.

This was a great place to stay for my boyfriend and I. Conveniently located to everything like shopping, dining and the beach! They also provided a cooler and chairs which was nice. They didn’t even charge us a parking fee. Across the street there is a little market place and a great coffee shop. And the nightlife is awesome in the area. Would stay here again! :)

This condo is in an excellent location. It is quiet and comfortable. The only drawback is the lack of air conditioning and free laundry facilities. However, it was not bad with both doors open for the breeze to blow through. The screen door on the front door was great. It is beautifully decorated.
