This was a third visit to the beautiful place. We enjoy the secluded complex away from all the hustle and bustle of the larger resorts. Lynn's unit is beautifully furnished with everything you would expect to find in your own home. Lynn provides an extensive list of local restaurants, shops and activities which makes planning easy. The oceanfront corner unit is quiet and private... no better place to watch turtle, whales and capture the fabulous sunsets.

Nice unit in great location. Everything was fine except for the musty, rank odor in the unit. We can’t recommend staying here unless the carpet in the bedroom is replaced with a tile or LVP. Management claimed they could not smell anything. We did not want to waste any more of our limited time on Maui so we stayed put and made the most of it. The management company was very responsive otherwise and addressed other issues very quickly.

We came in for a family wedding. When we arrived 4 hrs after check in - we were happy to walk into a cozy place for the next 4 nights. Host was very attentive in communicating quickly and efficiently. AC was a godsend! Everything you need for the pool is available for use. Kitchen was equipped with everything you need.

We had a very nice stay at the Kahana Sunset. Nice location next to beautiful Napili Bay and we loved being so close to the shops and resorts at Kaanapali. Our host was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed to ensure we had a nice vacation. Highly recommend.

It lacked a lot of extras.
Noticing for the beach. We bought chairs and left them at the property.
Kitchen was not well stocked with every day items.
No laundry basket. The front desk was able to provide one for us.
Need new screens on the guest bedroom and front door. Was repaired same day. The window in the guest bedroom did not close all the way. Geckos 🦎 kept coming in the room.
Main bedroom shower door never did close all the way. Was off the track.
We will be back but will not rent that condo again.

The view of the ocean was so smazing. We could see turtles swimming and surfacing for air. Every evening we enjoyed watching the sunset with the island as a backdrop. The rainbows were also lovely. Last year when we stayed her we saw a moonbow-magical.

Enjoyed the location and ease of the location of the condo. The check-in was seamless. The condo had a small beach front which we enjoyed. The only draw back was it is the second line of condos so you are not directly on the beach front. But would highly recommend this place.

We arrived with our two 10 year old grandchildren. They were very happy to run to the deck to spot their first turtle, one of many sightings. Beautiful sunsets looking out to Molokai . We did some snorkeling in the bay Until the big waves arrived. Then they turned to the pool and were very happy. The grounds keepers surprised them by cutting down some bananas and papayas for them. All in all a comfortable and happy experience.

Lynn's place is INCREDIBLE! We thought we had died and gone to heaven during the week we stayed there. We loved watching the sunsets every night from the unit/lanai. Lynn was so great to deal with, she answered all questions before our arrival and even ordered a brand new umbrella for us to use during our stay. There was a backup person available if she was hard to reach. We felt so well taken care of! The location of her unit is the best I've ever seen, and it has a sandy (swimmable) beach, pool, and BBQ facilities. There are lounge chairs all around the pool and grass that are positioned under palm trees that face the ocean. It's SO dreamy! We were there the week of Aug. 9-17 and the place was virtually empty! I'm not sure if that was due to school back in session or if it's just a hidden gem. There was a bit of a swell the first few days of our stay and the waves pounded the beach but we loved the sound. There were people staying in the unit next to us that have been coming to this place for years and they told us that turtles come up to the reef below our deck in the afternoon and feed on the reef. Due to the big swell, we didn't see turtles doing this but hope to come back someday and experience that. We were able to go to other (more sheltered) coves and snorkel on the swell days. The swell calmed down after 2 days and we swam at our beach! We all enjoyed the pool on the property too - it's simple but functional. We'll definitely be back!

Location is amazing. Close to beautiful beaches. The unit is well equipped with everything you may need. Very comfortable for a family of 4. We loved the common areas, kids loved the pool and they have the cleanest bbq grill I’ve ever seen. Beautiful sunsets and if you’re lucky you may spot some turtles on the beach. Communication with host was great.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Hula Hideaway! We loved the location, as it was very close to all of our favorite Maui beaches. The grounds were beautiful and the sunsets breathtaking. We saw dolphins and rainbows right from our balcony. The kids enjoyed the pool for many hours. Our family of 5 was very comfortable. We had everything we needed staying at this unit and look forward to returning someday!

Perfect location for accessing multiple snorkeling beaches on the northwest corner of Maui. Property managers were responsive and communicated often. Property grounds are well cared for and very pretty. Switches are labeled. Kitchen appliances were appreciated. A few items in the fridge, ice in the freezer, and AC was on before we arrived made us feel welcome.

We had a big party of 6 and this condo met all of our needs. We love the view, the beach. The morning showers and mountain views while the sun shined the rest of the day. Condo was clean and well kept. If we had one complaint it would be the king bed in the master it has a dip on one side nearest to the closet that yoy sink in and it was cery uncomfortable to sleep on. So we would recommend a new mattress. But everything else was wonderful!

Kahana Sunset is the absolute best complex on West Maui. You end up paying for excursions and wishing you’d kept your money because everything extra you paid for is already at the condo. Great snorkeling? Check. Sea turtles every day? Yup. Magical sunsets each evening? You know it. The only issue we’ve had with our specific unit was the downstairs AC. Management requested a repair man for the next day but he never came. To be fair though, everyone was evacuated the day before for a tsunami so I’m not holding that against them.

Nice location, pretty water right at the condo, with 2 resident turtles. Decent snorkle at the back, but close bays with amazing snorkeling. This property is very clean, grills are really nice, staff is kind, pool is great. Beautiful sunset over Molokai. Love the water descpencer by the pool, able to fill water pitchers and bottles for the condo and day trips, saves on having to buy more plastic when ur in a place like Maui. The condo has all essential stuff, plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler. The views from the lanai are ok, but the property has a great area with tables and chairs for the guests to enjoy. We had a slight issue with the fridge, but Donna got it taken care of immediately. Great communication, everything was clear. Management company was great too. Definitely a recommend, would stay here again.

Beautiful place. Loved the porch area with ocean view and the proximity to the beach. We got to see manarays in the beach first day we were there. Sunset was amazing too! Second day we got tsunami warning but property is 20m above water so after 7:30pm we returned to property from higher grounds. Checkin was simple; checkout too.

No AC, ceiling leaks fixed by someone who has no idea how to fix and paint, unit appears to have never been upgraded, wall paper peeling, drapes in living area will not provide privacy, kitchen faucet leaks, fans in kitchen above sink and in toilet area strange looking, yellow growth. Bottomline don't rent this unit or drop price to rock bottom, friends came over and rented D3D for much less and unit is newly redone and beautiful. Sorry for the comments but we were less than happy with this unit and i would guess never updated. Go look at it and at D3D worlds apart. But thanks for quick response and replacement of dish washer. This unit and property was beautiful and worked perfectly for our family! We loved the private beach access and the beautiful sunsets every night. The full kitchen was great for being able to eat at home or to heat up our leftovers. We also appreciated having laundry in the unit. The unit also had beach chairs, a cooler, some snorkel gear, and kid sand toys! The unit has parking right outside the door, which is a huge plus especially with kids. The unit was clean and very welcoming. The upper and lower lanais added so much light and the ocean views could not be beat! A downside to the unit was the noise. Because of the windows and construction of the building, you can hear everything going on outside and from the neighbors. When loud cars drove by, neighbors closed their doors, people were talking, or even snoring, we heard it all. Just something to keep in mind! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we came back to Maui!

We love the kahana sunset and had a blast however this unit is missing a few amenities in the kitchen. I had to buy a spatula and use a makeshift measure cup. The dishwasher smells pretty bad. Maybe this is tmi but there wasn't a plunger in the unit either Iits a great place to stay and amazing location, just needs a few updates.
