Our condo at Kahana Sunset A4 was clean, air conditioned ready for our 10 day visit to Maui. We have stayed here many times at A3 and wanted a bit of an upgrade (air conditioning and better furniture, and the automatic sun screen). My one and only complaint is the main bedroom has a old bed. My wife and I had to sleep in the guest room as it was much more comfortable. Everything else was great!

This unit (and condo complex) is a great location! With access to the ocean and a warm pool, you can spend your days relaxing right here without having to drive anywhere. The unit was clean and provided so many extras for making the trip better like chairs, umbrellas and floatation devices. The only con was that you can hear the upstairs neighbors and if they are like the people who were here when we were, it will wake you up when they open and close the sliding door (which was as early as 5am daily for us). Just annoying. But other than that, no complaints at all. Great location, very clean, well stocked, near Napili market (definitely try out Fond for dinner!).

Comfortable corner condo with great views. The corner unit allows for cross breezes which keep the condo cool. We loved being able to walk to the pool or beach in less than a minute. Furnishings were clean and unit was well stocked.

Townhouse with two bedrooms with ensuite bath. Master has nice deck.2nd bedroom is small. Kitchen has pots and pan, dishes, ect. Kitchen has been stripped of everything else. Not even a grain of salt. Unusual. Stacked washer/dryer in kitchen work well. Kitchen needs kitchen faucet replaced. Furniture is nice. We did not use TVs. Small lania has a table and 4 chairs. Lania has a electric awning which is nice in afternoon sun. The grounds are well maintained. Nice pool and sunning area. Ealk down steps to the beach. This in a nice small condo and beautiful area. Condo needs updating but very usable.

We don’t usually try new places to stay while on Maui but decided to on this trip. We were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem!!! Very clean, gorgeous views, gorgeous grounds, my kids loved the pool. We will absolutely be staying here many times in the years to come. The owner was an absolute sweetheart when we had a slight issue and resolved it for us immediately with no hesitation. Absolutely love this place!! We stayed there for a week and then bounced to other places around the island for another 2 weeks. We wished we would’ve stayed at Kahana Sunset the entire 3 weeks! We were so sad to leave. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Nice updated unit. Kahana Shores is a classic 70’s resort that is well maintained. The unit is nice and the beds are comfortable. I have two suggestions for the owners; update your cookware. It’s an old and making a family meal with limited pans is a challenge. Declutter the space. All the extra decor is not needed. Saddest thing resort is the historic erosion of the beach. 30 years ago must have been epic based on the photos. RIP building F.

![Beach Front-Corner Spoil You!]()
Lynn was a delight to work with. She was very responsive. We were provided with pages of her favorite restaurants and descriptions of the food and estimated prices. Also included were many activities. It's a spectacular location and the only one on the complex that extends over the water. It's wrap-around balconies are so great. We watched turtles each day in our bay and could see pods of whales towards Molokai breaching and blowing spouts. The grounds have banana, papaya and guava trees and the produce is shared with renters when in season. Also lots of flowering tropical plants.
We never saw the beach as low as is pictured. Probably due to weather in other parts of the world. That didn't stop renters from swimming however. Being over the water I really enjoyed watching the waves come in and crash against the sea wall, sometimes even splashing up on the lower deck.
My husband and I are 80 and 88, though 'young' old folks. I don't remember any comments in the description that there are lots of stairs. From the parking lot to the unit, and from the unit to the pool and beach. It was good exercise for us.
The unit is in a great location on the island. It is a beautiful and restful condo. You will enjoy your time there.

Amazing location--best on the island! Furnishings were in great shape and kitchen was supplied with all items we needed. The 4 & 6 year old children loved the pool & the waves at the Kahana Sunset beach. And, it was such fun to look right out our slider door, walk a few feet, & peer over the wall to watch the turtles! Leaving the master bedroom slider open each night to enjoy the sea breeze...we also enjoyed hearing the ocean waves nightly. Of course we enjoyed incredible sunsets. The day after returning home, the four year old wanted to know when we were going back. Soon!

The unit is exactly what was needed for two adults and two teenagers. Quick drive to beautiful beaches and easy walk to a market. There isn't much of a sandy beach left at the property but the location is perfect in a little cove - every morning we watched whale spouts off in the distance from the beach chairs on the lawn from which there is a beautiful view. Management is very responsive. The grounds are nice and very well kept up.

I just want to start by saying we have stayed at Kahana Sunset for the last 25 years. It has changed over the years but still absolutely love the complex. This was our first time in A10 and had always been curious as it is an end unit with a wall of windows. Loved having all the natural light and privacy of being on the end. The unit itself did not disappoint. We had an issue with the kitchen faucet but we contacted itrip and they came out immediately and replaced the faucet the next day.
I would not hesitate to stay there again. Just missing the beach which has pretty much disappeared over the last several years.

We shared this unit with my parents. It was well equipped. the AC worked well, the unit was clean. Everything listed as an amenity was available and in good working condition. When our flight was changed and we arrived earlier than expected, we were able to check-in early. Hanging out on the balcony at night was lovely. Nothing to do with this unit, but the beach associated with the property is not ideal, especially for children, but Kapalua Beach and Napili Beach are amazing and about a 5 minute drive. The pool is wonderful for children, there is a toddler pool and a bigger pool, so can accommodate very young kids (ours was 2 and loved it) and older kids as well. The property is lovely, well maintained and with plenty of lounge chairs. There is a common area right near the beach with shade and tables where you can see turtles and whales and get a bit of a breeze when it is hot. The communication with the owner was excellent. I would absolutely recommend this unit and appreciate the communication from the owner.

The actual unit was fine, but the air conditioning did not work from the time we checked in. I specifically reserved a condo with AC because of the children. We had 2 small children (ages 9 months and 2 years) and even with fans, nap time and sleeping at night was terrible. I called the property manager immediately after check-in and pretty much every day after that. At day four of our stay, they did send out a repairman. At day 5, it was fixed and stayed fixed for 2 days. Then it crapped out again. I asked that we be relocated to a different unit, nope. I called every day, begging for them to fix this thing, but nope. Also, not as important, but still desirable, the microwave didn't work from day one. We were told a replacement would be delivered but it never was. I did call more than once about this as well. They did issue a miniscule refund (about 10% of the amount we had paid). This was an expensive vacation for us, and Maui is gorgeous, but we were so sleep deprived it was hard to enjoy. Once we started having difficulties, I looked at the reviews again, because this unit had received good reviews. I noticed someone rented this unit earlier and posted that the microwave was broken and not fixed during their stay. I suspect that the microwave was never replaced and remained in that state until we arrived. Even if they fixed the AC, I would avoid this unit, because you can bet if anything goes wrong, it will not be fixed

Clean condo with plenty of space for our family of four, beautiful ocean view from the balcony. The small beach was so convenient at the end of the day when the kids wanted to have more ocean time after visiting other nearby larger beaches. Also cool to see turtles right where we were staying. The pool was very well heated, never overly crowded, so we enjoyed that too. Would definitely stay here again!

This gem of a location was ideal! The Kahana Sunset condos are nestled around a small private cove. This location has perfect views of the ocean and, as the name suggests, gorgeous sunsets. Turtles regularly play around the rocks by the cove and the water is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. There was a bit of rain but that didn't diminish the experience. We swam in the pool instead. There were several other families but it never felt crowded. The location is minutes from a grocery store in Napili and the kitchen was fully stocked so we could make meals when we didn't feel like going out to eat. Probably the best amenity was the washer/dryer. This made it really easy and comfortable to swim multiple times a day without having to deal with wet suits and towels. We'd definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

We had a wonderful stay at Kahana Sunset - A Honu World. We came for Spring Break and while being on the west side adds time to any Maui adventure, the sunsets were worth it. We enjoyed seeing a turtle on the beach, the pool was lovely and working with the Mary was easy. I appreciated the tips about the area both in email before we arrived and in the guest book. The unit was perfect for our family of 5 and the kids loved their room. There could be a few more cooking items - cup measures, trays for using the grill, a pineapple corer (wonderful tool). On the whole though, we had everything we needed. If we ever make it back to Maui, we would stay at Kahana again!

This was a comfortable and convenient condo for our Maui holiday. Most things we needed were there and everything was working well. The beds were comfortable. The beach on site is tiny due to erosion but still allows access directly to the ocean without ha ING to drive somewhere and there were turtles right there in the bay. Parking was within a couple spots of our door always. The listing was incorrect, to our surprise we had access to air conditioning in the living area and both bedrooms (6 hour timer so we woke up and reset it during the night), not just the master. Lots of families and it felt safe and relaxed there. Clean enough but could use a deep scrub (I cleaned the cabinet fronts when we arrived for example). No oven mitts but we didn't ask for them and made do without. Starter supply of products although only one set of bathroom/shower products so if we hadn't brought any with us we would have had to use one shower at a time until we got to the store. Only two dishtowels and just a sponge no dishcloth so getting the glass tables to look clean was not the easiest. Would happily stay there again, but would bring some microfibre cloths and oven mitts.

This unit is a bit older so there is some wear and tear. The host does a good job at keeping it as nice as possible. It has the three most important items for real estate; location, location, location. Fantastic views of ocean, shoreline and sunset. Convenient access to restaurants. Green turtle and humpback whale sitings almost every day (we were there in mid-March).

Kahana Sunset is a gem - everything you need right there. 50 steps to the ocean and 100 steps to the pool. Bbqs with a view and turtle and whale sightings galore. The unit A3 could use a bit of updating and could be more thoughtfully equipped ( would be nice to have mugs and drinking glasses bigger than 2 sips), but adequate given amenities of the resort. Good bed and shower, but needs new carpet. Daly and updating kitchen and ensuite would go a long way.

I was worried about booking this unit based on reviews but found the unit to be in good condition. It does need some TLC and a new coat of paint otherwise we booked for the oceanfront view. We slept with the windows open every night listening to the ocean. Our kids enjoyed the heated pool and the beach was great to have. The bay isn’t as protected as some other bays so it does get wavy. But overall we would book this unit again. We had friends that had a much newer unit at Kapalua that said they would stay in our place anytime! 3 bathrooms and two showers was very nice! AC was exceptional as well!

Thank you Liz for letting us stay at your condo, We enjoyed our stay there and the heated pool was great and the sunset views as amazing, we watched the sunset every evening either by the beach or by the lanai. Beach was pretty, we saw a sea turtle on our stay there just relaxing by the beach. The waves however it was a bit too strong for our young kids so we went to a different beach during our stay, however there were lots of people on the beach during our stay there.
The condo is great, its nice to just drive in-front of the condo and unload the bags, no elevators or anything! Inside was clean and we had everything we needed. It was great having a washer and dryer as we used it almost every day since we were at the beach every day. Rooms were clean and the kids enjoyed the beds and having their own rooms to sleep into.
Overall it was a great location and easy to get to and the host (Liz) was easy to talk to and if there was any issues she would resolve it quickly. We truly enjoyed Maui, and we wouldn't hesitate to go back there in the future.

The property is so beautiful, and the unit we stayed in fabulous! Check in and out was a breeze, and they had some kick boards, pool noodles and other fun things for the kids to use. They also had basics like dish soap, body wash, laundry detergent, garbage bags, etc. that was very appreciated! The staff for the property is also very friendly! Saw lots of turtles, whales and lizards here so that was a bonus! Thanks so much for an awesome stay!

This is a great place to stay if you’re staying in the West Maui area. The condo is updated and has an amazing view. The only suggestion I would recommend to management is to replace the mattress in the master bedroom, it has seen its better days. The 2 full size beds in the 2nd bedroom are very comfortable. The room has about everything you need to cook besides spices and oils. The resort maintenance crew also has all the beach stuff you need to borrow as well. They had plenty of sand toys, boogie boards and some beach chairs as well.
