The unit was great. The air conditioners were perfect. Everything was clean and the hosts were very accommodating. The only downfall was the lack of a beach. It was beautiful but not perfect for kids to play and run around on the beach.

Steps away from a private beach to cool down, tan in the sun, or watch the honus (Hawaiian sea turtles). In the evening, if the beach wasn't enough, the pool was available. From the master bedroom, we could see the other island and the ocean. There was no traffic to be heard, only the chirps of birds and the rolling of the waves. We can't wait to come back.

We were "stuck" here without power for 5 days during the Lahaina fire. The Kahana Sunset Owners Associates gave us the use of their generator-powered office for charging our cell phones. Condo owners and visitors rallied around to support each other. It was a surreal experience for everyone. The property is quaint and beautiful. Private beach with pleasant waves. The unit was very nice and the balcony had a lovely view - including sunsets. There are actually 2 balconies. Unfortunately there were ants in the kitchen and dining area. It's my understanding that ants are not uncommon in Hawaii kitchens.

This rental was everything we hoped for and more! A kitchen fully stocked with every appliance and utensil you would ever need, two spacious lanais with incredible ocean views, bright cheery clean interior, and the location was perfect. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. This was our first trip to Hawaii and we picked the perfect location and rental! So affordable yet the grounds and location and everything dreams are made of. The condo was fully stocked and so cute, such a great breeze even in the middle of summer. Loved sleeping to the sound of the ocean and waking up to the birds. My young kids loved having their own room and bathroom. We plan to come back as soon as we can!

We stayed here with our two adult daughters. The place was the perfect size and location. The private beach was small and uneventful, but it was still nice to have the option to walk for two minutes and be at a beach. Other larger beaches were close by and had parking readily available if we went after breakfast. The parking lots do fill up by mid-morning. The concierge shopped for groceries for us at the local market and had the place stocked with food when we arrived. We really enjoyed that convenience because we arrived late in the evening when everything was closed. The place had everything we needed for our beach time, including beach chairs, and umbrella, floats, coolers and beach towels. The kitchen was well-stocked which allowed us to make a few meals and even grill out by the pool. A big plus was A/C in both bedrooms. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a chance to stay at Kahana Sunset for Spring Break. We had stayed here previously when I was younger, so it was great to be able to return with my wife and own children(ages 12 and 9), as well as my parents. This place is perfect for relaxation. We spent the days at the beach, swimming, snorkeling with exotic fish and sea turtles, and reading in the sun. In the evening, while we BBQed, the boys swam in the pool. We ate our meals on the lanai, watching sunsets and trying to spot whales in the distance. It was secluded from the crowds and activities in the south, while still being close enough to explore when needed. I hope to return.

After spending some days in Hana and Wailea, this was the last stay in our Maui vacation and we did not regret any minute of it. Starting the day with enjoying our morning coffee on the upper deck, seeing humpback whales close by. After having breakfast we went down to the small private beach with the clearest water you can imagine, snorkeling with some turtles and fish. And then we had the choice to visit some really good beaches, go on some wonderful hikes and see the Nakalele blowhole. All conveniently close. In the evening we enjoyed the wonderful sunsets and would love to come back someday.

Our stay at Kahana Sunset was great. The condo was clean and had a great view. The grill area was a bonus as we used it a few times to cook dinner. The courtyard was nice with a pool and plenty of seating area on the grounds. The private beach was a plus. We were able to watch whales every morning from the lanai and there were turtles galore! There was a grocery store nearby, which was a bonus and it wasn't a far drive to shopping and restaurants. The only two things I would ding are: 1 - only one burner seemed to work on the electric stove so an update to that would be recommended and 2 - the upstairs got really hot. The main bedroom has an A/C so that helped but the second bedroom didn't. Even with three fans, it was a tad stuffy. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Our family of 5 (kids aged 2-7) had a great stay! The unit was well laid out and had everything we needed. Proximity to the pool was excellent and the views from the lanais were great! Kids loved the pool. It was always nice and warm and really great to have the shallower kiddie pool as well.
We were always able to park right outside our unit which was great. Other guests were very friendly and there was a nice sense of community at the resort. We have stayed at a few other complexes on Maui and some of the senior snowbirds have been less than thrilled to have kids around the property. Not the case here at all. There was a really nice mix of families and friendly seniors.
We saw quite a few turtles at the beach and the kids loved running away from the waves. Waves were really strong for a lot of the trip so just had to keep a close eye on the kids.
We would definitely stay here again! Communication was excellent and very easy. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. Some items like the carpet could use updating but overall the unit was great. Very handy having the washer and dryer as well!

Nearly everything was perfect a few minor plumbing issues and back bedroom could use better drapes (see through now). Also the back room is a little noisy because of the grated window. Grounds were immaculate and very well taken care of including the pool and grills. Very impressed by attention given there.

The views from the unit and the lanai are amazing and we were able to sit and watch the whales in the distance every day. The location is great too, with lots of places to eat within a 15min drive and a grocery store nearby. Although the beach in the complex is very small, there are many great beaches with public access just down the street or a short drive away. In my opinion, the unit itself needs some work; the bathrooms need a deep cleaning and the kitchen is a bit dated. Some of the drawers almost fall out when you pull them open, and the stove is temperamental, so cooking was a bit challenging. We had some issues with the bathroom and the washing machine, but Jill in the management team was great and sorted it out quickly.

This is an excellent condo for the traveller concerned with their budget. While there were a few negatives with this rental the location and amenities available outweigh the few things that could be improved upon.CONS - mould on shower curtain, not all burners worked on the stovetop, missing kitchen sink plug, washing machine didn’t work, no air conditioning in 2nd bedroom, furnishings are getting tired.PROS - very affordable rental cost for Maui, location was excellent, pool was great, private beach was nice, very quiet complex, lanai’s were very nice, beach supplies were a nice added bonus, assistance from rental owner and complex management was excellent.

good value for this part of the island. lots to do nearby. The beach access on the property is very limited - maybe a few feet of dry sand and seems to be getting washed away over time. Wasn't really able to snorkel or hang at the attached beach, but there are nice beaches nearby.

We loved our time here, the rental was AMAZING. It had absolutely everything we needed and more. We loved the privacy and less chaotic-ness of staying somewhere closer to the beaches. I did miss being right on the street for shopping but it was a super quick drive either way for shopping, food, groceries and other beaches. We will absolutely stay here again in the future, we loved everything about it. HIGHLY recommend this place to stay!

What a great place to stay in paradise! Clean and spacious unit, with everything supplied from beach towels to laundry detergent to wash a load of laundry! Not many people swam at the little beach, but my husband and I did and saw turtles swimming around and swam watching the sunset. Enjoyed having the beach/ocean literally right outside our door, and having the pool was an extra bonus! The units are spacious, quiet, and very clean. We saw workers around the property all throughout the day keeping the property in top shape! Thanks for a wonderful stay! We will return!

Very easy to rent, check in and check out. Communication via email with the management company was super easy and they were very responsive prior and after our stay. They emailed us the door code and we didn’t have to check in or talk to anyone when we arrived around 10pm. The condo was very clean and spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed. Even zip lock bags and aluminum foil. Cutting boards, tupper ware, blender, microwave, dishwasher, big fridge with an ice maker, brita filter. Two lanais, two bathrooms, two bedrooms. The private beach for resort guests is steps away, there are beach chairs on the lawn and a pool. The beach gets small during high tide but big enough bc there’s nobody ever there. Most lawn chairs are available at any time during the day. We tried different beaches every day so we only spent one day at this Kahana sunset beach. The water is a little merky in this area but we still managed to see a turtle right in front of our condo. The condo is a corner unit so there’s plenty of light and the shortest distance to the pool and beach (about 20 sec). The whole resort is very quiet and perfect for relaxing either on the private beach, on the lawn, at the pool or on the lanai. What we liked the most was the amazing ocean view right from the bed. I didn’t want to sleep at night, I just wanted to enjoy the view and sound of waves. Multiple fans in every room plus a/c in master bdrm. Just keep the screens shut otherwise little birds come in for a visit. Oh and beautiful green geckos like to sunbathe on the upstairs lanai. Overall great location and super comfortable condo.

The condo is a corner unit so there’s plenty of light and the shortest distance to the pool and beach (about 20 sec). The whole resort is very quiet and perfect for relaxing either on the private beach, on the lawn, at the pool or on the lanai. What we liked the most was the amazing ocean view right from the bed. I didn’t want to sleep at night, I just wanted to enjoy the view and sound of waves. Multiple fans in every room plus a/c in master bdrm. Just keep the screens shut otherwise little birds come in for a visit. Oh and beautiful green geckos like to sunbathe on the upstairs lanai. Overall great location and super comfortable condo.

Kahana Sunset was an incredible place to spend our time in Maui. Waking up to views like these is something from a dream. The owner is very responsive both during the booking process and during our stay. Great location near Lahaina and not too far from the airport, and has a great little beach you can walk to.

Great condo in a great resort. Interior is a little dated and has seen better days but you can overlook those minor things because of the great location and wonderful area. Was the home base for our 10 day exploration of Maui. Has beach access right at the resort and it was handy for everything that we wanted to do on the island. Would HIGHLY recommend this unit to anyone vacationing on Maui. Mahalo.

We loved our stay here! Kitchen was equipped with all the basics we needed to cook for the week. Rooms were comfortable. Only one room has A/C but with the windows open it stays perfectly cool in the rest of the condo at night, so that was fine. Views were gorgeous. The property itself was amazing! Private beach and pool were perfect for us and our little one. Not too crowded like the hotels in busier parts of Maui. This place is ideal for a relaxing, family-friendly vacation.

We whale watched from the balcony from breakfast to dinner. Sat on the private beach and snorkeled with turtles. The quiet setting away from the bustle of Lahaina town was perfect. We have already suggested it to our friends and family. We hope to make this a regular trip.

The condo was perfect for what we needed. The location and views were beautiful, the pool and small private beach were amazing and very convenient and the entire complex was quiet and family friendly. Jill was very quick to respond when we needed her and was very accommodating. We greatly appreciated it! The only downside was the no A/C in the guest bedroom upstairs as it was very warm during the day but would cool off enough at night to be able to sleep. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Words cannot describe what a wonderful trip we had, and what a perfect home base this condo was. 10 minutes from Kaanapali, 15 minutes from Lahaina, 10 minutes from Kapalua made it super easy to get around West Maui. The condo itself was lovely--big, clean, BRIGHT & amazing views (don't underestimate how wonderful it is to have a corner unit for those breezes & natural light)! We had more than enough room for our family of 4 and it was great that our kids had a bedroom/bathroom to themselves and separate beds. The entire property was very well maintained, and the pool was warm & sparkling clean. We made friends with Junior who works on the property and he was so nice, even sharing some coconuts with us! The beach area was beautiful and it was so nice to pop in for a swim right outside our front door. The community grills were clean and a great convenience to have.Jill, thank you for an incredible week-you were amazing and so responsive, we cannot wait to come back!

Overall, we had a great time. The condo is very warm, there is only an AC unit in one bedroom, which made it impossible for our friends to sleep in the other room. Even with fans, it was average 82 in their room at all times, hotter during the day. there are fans downstairs which helped that level. There are little extras, like beach towels and boogie boards, plenty of TP, bath towels, and laundry pods and that was so appreciated, but also random things not there like cutting boards or kitchen spray cleaner..?! The washer and dryer were a big plus, we booked knowing they were there in the unit. It could be updated, like lamps in the bedrooms with charging ports for phones, and a few other things but it is clean and plenty of space for 4 adults. We went on ton of adventures, so this was a home base. We enjoyed the pool and ocean, both were great. The 2 decks were also used quite a bit, breakfasts and star gazing. Honestly the lack of AC was the only real complaint... but it was a big deal. Had to reach out to management once for an issue, they responded with in minutes and had our issue resolved that day, it was so easy dealing with them. Good communication the entire process!
Again, overall, it was a great trip we will always remember!

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Maui with our two grandsons (and their parents!) and two great nights here. The accomodations were great for our family time together. Unfortunately the cove was a quite surging so snorkeling wasn't possible for our grandsons. But we had a great time with them at old airport beach where the water was a bit calmer for getting in and out for snorkeling. Communication with the property manager was excellent, always timely and helpful.

Our condo was much more than my wife and I expected. All of the amenities were very modern. Since we were on an extended vacation, it was nice having laundry facilities in our unit to do our laundry midway through our trip. The booking and check in/check out process was quick and easy. The view from the condo’s outdoor decks was amazing! I would highly recommend this place for anyone thinking about traveling to Maui.
