We have stayed at the complex before but in another unit. This unit had been updated with new flooring, kitchen cabinets and appliances (no DW). It is right on the beach overlooking beautiful Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay is a ten minute walk so there are two handy swimming and snorkeling spots.
It had two beach chairs and umbrella which were great although one chair should be replaced due to wear and tear. No AC (which we knew about) but no problem with louvered windows and fans. The louvers should be lubricated because some were quite sticky. Since there is no DW there should be dish towels, but they were not provided and the manager advised that the owner does not provide those. There were no hot pads either so we had to use wash cloths. Seems like a minor expense to provide those.
For the three weeks we were there, the toilet ran the entire time. We contactedMaui Beachfront Rentals (the manager) on our second day there because it seemed like a waste of water and expensive, particularly if water use is metered. They said they would contact the owner, but no action was ever taken.
Despite these complaints, which could be easily and cheaply remedied, we would rent there again. It’s a nice unit with such a great location.

A perfect spot right on the ocean. Would have liked the gazebo to be open longer than 2 pm though. Dinner or drinks on the water would have been super nice.

If you're looking to stay on Maui, with about 2 feet from a beach, that's not too crowded and full of tourists, then this is the place for you. It's well within a reasonable price for the area. It's got everything you need to cook, store food for the week, ton of outlets and usb plugs and have an exceptional time in a place that feels like home. For an apartment style unit, it's quiet and well maintained. We were able to walk about 15 ft, open the gate and walk down the beach to a number of locations.
There's a snorkel shop extremely close. A hair, nail and massage place. Very good food options that won't surprise anybody with prices if you are from the bay area or NYC locations.
We found this unit to have everything we needed for a very relaxing enjoyable stay except... The only thing we wished it had was AC or at the very least, a portable AC unit or two ceiling fans like some of the units. When it's hot and muggy, this is a hot box. Thankfully there was a good ceiling fan and large portable fan that kept it reasonable for me (still unreasonable for my traveling companion) but if you have trouble sleeping in heat, oof... just be aware and figure out ways to keep cool.. To be fair, AC isn't really a thing in many places except the higher end hotels. I think that's going to change soon.
The place was clean upon arrival but could have been a little cleaner. The sheets were questionable upon arrival, no more than a roll of paper towels and no garbage bags. The maintenance person who was here thought we should have some and dropped off 5 for us to use which was enough. It's a nice unit, maintained by a rental company that is responsive during business hours. There's cleaning supplies for those who feel they could do a little more. We did get new sheets (as in new in box) 3 days after we asked. Which begs the question why pay a cleaning fee when it's not spotless when you arrive?
It's a nice small studio apartment with everything we needed to have a great stay. Parking was great. Quiet at night. Beach access incredible. Good water, nice spacious fridge. Mahalo!

Absolutely love that you are feet from the beach! That is for sure the best thing about this location.
There were some unwelcome insect friends but got over that. Got a bit warm in there but would stay again simply for location.

This Napili Bay unit has been remodeled beautifully.
If you are familiar with these units you know the location is awesome. We've been coming for years.
Just a couple of comments:
The floors are tile and when we checked in, appeared clean. However, after about an hour of walking barefoot the bottoms of our feet were black. The unit had a broom but no mop. I brought the questionable floor cleanliness up to the property managers. Their cleaning crew needs to do a better job.
The write up on the unit stated beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel equipment. We found 1 beach chair and 1 umbrella. The prop mgrs did provide another chair and I see that the description no longer indicates any beach equipment. INQUIRE BEFORE BOOKING
The addition of some towel hooks would be nice.

Clean and well kept. Great view. It's right on the bay so there will be surf crashing at night, bring ear plugs if that's a problem for you. Take garage out everyday or there will be cockroaches.

We loved our stay at Napili Bay as the location is spectacular. You can hear the ocean, see the ocean and enjoy ocean breezes all day and night. Walking distance to Kapalua Bay for snorkeling. We took advantage of the Sea House restaurant as it is a 4 min walk. The unit is fabulously redone. We pick location over privacy & A/C as the experience and convenience is first rate. We would stay here in a heartbeat again!

Great location on the beach but this unit is very outdated and the price does is high. All of the other units I went into were very nicely appointed with granite counter tops and nice furniture. My stove did not work properly, the beach umbrella and chairs were broken and when I called Maui Beachfront Rentals I was told that’s the way it is as these items are not included. Really? For the amount of money you are paying for a week and You can’t get an umbrella and a beach chair that isn’t torn? The only reason I rated it 3 stars was because of the location. Otherwise it would have been one star. This place is not worth the price.

Napili Bay Resort is our favorite place on Maui! Right on the beach, this condo is the perfect location. We snorkeled every day - just steps from Napili Bay or a little longer walk to Kapalua Bay or the other direction to turtle cove. The condo itself is nice but could stand some updates. But it was clean, snowy white towels, nice beach towels, boogie boards, umbrella, noodles, and a floaty thing. Everything you need to enjoy the water. The bed was comfortable and there was a trundle bed. We’ll definitely be back to Napili Bay Resort!

There is no better place in the world to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening mai tai than on a lanai overlooking Napili Bay!
We found this location to to be the perfect blend of location and affordability, and could not have asked for anything more.
The room was clean, cozy, and well supplied, and the view was always pristine!
If we are ever fortunate enough to again spend time on Maui, you can bet that we will be staying here, building sand castles within arms reach of the door and getting lulled to sleep by the surf!

This place was steps from the beach! Quiet, clean, secluded , easy parking , amazing views! Saw Honu ! It was hot, no AC ,but this is the Islands so it’s supposed to be warm—-& there were fans to help w/ airflow. We will definitely stay again!! Short drive to restaurants, shopping , etc.

It's a beautiful spot on Napili Bay with enough close by to keep one happy and we saw whales every day. But the lack of ability to completely close off the waves and people talking along with slow wifi, small tv, no counter space, & very average bed, we would not return. If we were a lot younger or this unit was half the cost, this might work but we're older and spoiled. A mattress topper, thicker cushions on the lanai furniture along with a bigger TV would be big and easy improvement. Thanx.
