We stayed 12 nights in June (2025), and we had the most amazing vacation. The condo is perfectly outfitted for a long-term stay. The kitchen has all the cooking utensils you might need, including a blender and a toaster. Additionally, there are gas grills on the property that you can use. The laundry facilities allowed us to pack light and wash our clothes when needed. The air conditioner in the bedroom is great and keeps the sleeping area cool, but we just kept the windows open during the day, and the condo stayed cool from the breezes blowing through. Additionally, since the owner provides all the snorkeling and beach equipment for two people, it's easy to step out the door and spend some time snorkeling or visiting the nearby beach (which is just 100 feet away). There really is no need to go out on a boat to access snorkel spots, although we did take a SeaMaui cruise one day, and it was awesome; we would recommend this cruise. But we decided that the best snorkeling is in the condo’s own cove (Honokeana Cove). We saw at least two dozen sea turtles, tons of different types of fish, an octopus, and we saw two eels (SO COOL)!The sunsets are magical, and the grounds and pool are perfectly maintained, making this property the perfect hidden gem for a stay in Maui. At sunset, they light the gas tiki torches, and it is so cool. We have already reserved return dates for next summer!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Honokeana Cove! The condo had everything we needed for the stay and had plenty of room for our family of six. We were impressed with the beach equipment, including plenty of chairs, snorkeling gear and awesome beach towels. The most amazing part of the stay was the chance to snorkel in the cove and view the turtles, coral and fish. The calm waters were perfect for the whole family, including our ten year old. We also enjoyed the easy access to the Kapalua Trail, Napili Beach and made a few stops at the Napili market just down the street for groceries.We also took advantage of the well maintained grills and pool, which also provided a great opportunity to meet other families on vacation.The property manager Victor stayed in contact ahead of our stay and throughout our trip to ensure we had what we needed and also provide great insight for the trip.As others have mentioned, there is currently no AC in the unit. There are ample windows and fans which helped keep it comfortable, but is something to be considered if anyone in your family were to have an issue with warmer temps. I think the week we visited had daytime temps toward the higher end of what could be expected and it wasn’t an issue for us.Overall this was a great stay for us and would be a great option for any family!

Great for snorkeling. Every day we say about 10 sea turtles, octopus, electric eels and lots of fish. Save money and hassle from having to book/do an excursion. Room also has nice view of cove.

My stay was perfect. My unit was clean, well furnished and in a fabulous location. The management company helped me in securing four units for the same week, one unit had to be changed three times and they hung in there with me to accommodate the changes. This was my third time visiting the Cove. I have stayed in three different buildings and there is no bad view or location. I am always fascinated with the turtles and love to watch them come in for their afternoon nap. They are amazing and am so glad they are protected so we may enjoy them for years to come. It would be hard to find anything negative to say so I will not. The Cove is a little slice of heaven and I told my family if they ever lose me, look at The Cove and you may find me lounging by the pool or counting turtles from my deck. Thank you owners for sharing your homes.

This was the perfect location to relax on a small bay with beautiful views and very good snorkeling. Beautiful Napili beach is right next door and it was a short drive to Kaanapali and Lahaina. Lack of air conditioning was fine with ocean breezes and fans. I would recommend this to anyone I know.

We chose this property so we could snorkel in Honokeana Cove. It did not disappoint. Although the access to the cove is slightly difficult due to a rocky entry, the inconvenience is worth it. The snorkeling is great! The condo itself was clean and comfortable. The owners provided everything needed for a beach vacation. One minor drawback is that our upstairs neighbors sounded like a herd of elephants and the early morning road noise was not great for light sleepers. Oh well, more time spent enjoying outside!

Just sitting and looking is satisfying. One needs to go to no other place if they desire to snorkel. Paid trips do not compare to what is available at the cove. Amazingly gorgeous property, gave us the true West Maui experience. Snorkeling with fish and turtles right from the property meant we didn't have to lug gear in the car. One of our best experiences. Not for everyone: can be noisy around the pool; no A/C. But the windows and fans were great with the lovely tradewinds to keep us Hawaii Cool. Grounds extremely well maintained.

We have now stayed here four times. We enjoy having the 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Our balcony looks over the ocean and we get to watch the massive sea turtles swim and sunbathe. It’s also a quick walk over to Napalli Bay. Condo is always clean and everything in good working order. With no A/C it can get very warm in the afternoons. It’s always very quiet and peaceful. We will be back!

We loved staying at the cove. The only thing we didn’t like was the noise next door and the noise in general once it got to the weekend. You have to sleep with the windows open due to heat and it gets loud outside early. The TV upstairs is very small and if the one downstairs is on, you can’t use the one upstairs. The stairs are very steep but overall a great place! We hope to come back some day! The outside part is our favorite!

What a great property. Easy access to great snorkeling and more turtles than anywhere we’ve been. No need to go elsewhere for snorkeling. We rented paddle boards from the unit manager for a reasonable price and enjoyed them every day as well. The unit had plenty of room for six adults. Would definitely stay here again. We brought our own snorkeling gear, but the unit had gear as well. Very close to Napili Market which had everything we needed for supplies. Nice quiet and well kept property.

This was our third time staying at Honokeana Cove (different units each visit) so we knew exactly what to expect from the property and surrounding area. The unit came stocked with everything you could need for your stay including beach chairs, towels, and umbrella. The kitchen is well stocked, even with spices for cooking and plasticware to take down to the pool deck. My singular complaint is that there wasn’t foil to use at the ocean front grills and that’s something we could easily resolve ourselves. Despite the fact that this unit is tucked into the corner, there’s a fantastic ocean view and great airflow through all of the windows. This condo truly does not disappoint and the property itself is no exception!

Came to celebrate my son’s birthday in Hawaii and he loves the water. This was a perfect location for him to get in the water and swim, snorkel and see the turtles. This property is amazing. The unit has so many amenities we were not prepared for which lead us to over pack. Ample snorkel equipment, board games, toiletries, cooking supplies, towels, etc. They even have binoculars which we used to view some dolphins and whales from the lawn. There were so many sea turtles here. We also saw eel and many tropical fish. I think the only thing I can think of that didn't go as planned was that the oven seemed to take a bit longer to cook the pans of food we bought at Costco than we were used to. Also my elderly mom wasn't able to get into the ocean from the property as it is rocky and the rocks can be slick. The rest of our party didn't have problems and the cove allows amazing snorkeling that you can't get at a more accessible beach. We would love to visit again!

Our week stay was nothing but lovely. The staff was just as wonderful as the condo. The perfect location and just steps away from the cove for the best snorkeling and swim with turtles. The kitchen is fully stocked, bonus was rice cooker for our daily homemade poke bowls. Napili Market has the best poke. We did wish they had some sort of lounge furniture on the deck to relax while enjoying the view. Also, the coin laundry was a higher cost than I was expecting. We went to the beach daily so needed to wash towels, perhaps they should provide more beach towels? We will definitely be going back.

My husband, daughter and I spent 1 week at Honokeana cove and it was magical. I wish we were still there, listening to the ocean waves and watching turtles on the rocks below our lanai. This condo is large, 2 bedrooms plus a fold out couch. 2 levels. 2 lanais. Is clean and well stocked. Kitchen had everything we might need. Only thing it could use is a few more beach towels. We hope to return soon.

This is our fourth stay at this incredible property and it never disappoints!! The hosts are absolutely wonderful as well as their property manager!! Booked this just for snorkeling. The unit hasn’t been updated since 1993. Air conditioning in bedroom only. Pretty noisy as the windows are louvered, so they don’t really close. Road noise early morning and from the upstairs unit. I’d stay somewhere else in the future and deal with traveling to the snorkel spot.
