This unit in Papakea was absolutely beautiful. We traveled with our family (12), eight of us stayed in this unit and we loved it! The view and the sounds of the ocean were incredible. We saw rainbows almost daily, whale watched from the deck and took naps on the patio lounger. Our time spent in Maui was amazing! We did the road to hana loop, enjoyed a sunset dinner cruise on the Pride of Maui and a Christmas Morning Molokini Snorkel with them too.

My husband described his experience the best "we are living in a postcard". We loved our stay! Size was perfect for 3 sets of adults. All had their own bathroom. Laundry facilities inside were very handy. Plenty available linens. We had room for cooking together and eating together. Kitchen had everything we needed. We were near the grocery and restaurants and could walk to both. We took the Ocean Whale snorkeling trip and kayaking with Gabriel's Ohana. Both are great. The best part of the trip was just sitting on our heavenly balcony. Many moon sets and sunsets were spent not moving anywhere. We would be back in a heartbeat if we could.

My 14-year old son summed up our experience on Maui, and especially Dana and Keith’s property, on the morning of our departure to Oahu. While sitting with me on the lanai and looking out over the gorgeous water and a clear view of Moloka’i, he said, “So, dad, will our place on Oahu be this awesome?”
The condo was just we needed for nights in and out. The location is ideal for snorkeling right out back, or heading to Napili or Kapalua Bays. Which we did.
My daughter and wife had some wonderful walks/runs along the nearby boardwalk. It was nice to be able to walk to the Fish Market, Bad Ass Coffee and other conveniences.
Dana was exceptional in her communications leading up to our stay since it was not long after the Lahaina fires. It’s tragic to see the devastation, but warming to see how much the community is rallying to recover. We hope to be back and see what Lahaina becomes.

This place is truly a gem! I searched and searched for the perfect place for my family to stay in Maui and almost gave up my search then found this amazing gem! This condo is top notch! I don't think you can get any closer to the ocean! From the location to the furnishings to the beautiful lanai to watch the sunrise and sunset every morning, hearing the waves, it's just perfection! The condo is fully stocked with everything you need, super clean, felt like an amazing home away from home. The grocery store across the street and the food truck park close by were very convenient too! We will highly recommend Dana's condo to friends and anyone who asks! Thanks Dana for a truly amazing place to stay!

The views from the condo are absolutely breathtaking. You can see the sunset and hear waves from the living room and master bedroom. It’s a great size for a big group and very kid friendly. We had a great set up at the beach with all the provided beach chairs and umbrellas. The location is convenient to a supermarket, food trucks, and snorkel gear. I look forward to coming back for years to come!

You cannot be closer to the ocean than on the balcony of this condo. From two great swimming pools to tennis courts yard games and beach essentials (beach chairs boogie board, coolers) this is a perfect property for a family to stay. It is centrally located to everything. Kaanapali Beach and Fleming Beach were our favorites as well as Dukes oceanfront restaurant which is walking distance from condo. Perfect vacation!!!

We stayed here for about eight days with our family, a group of six adults and we could not have had a more comfortable and relaxing stay. This is a *gorgeous* vacation rental! All the beds and furniture are high quality and comfortable, the whole condo is tastefully decorated and the view! Wow, the view - a perfect view of the sunset every evening, we saw whales a couple times too! There’s ocean access right next to you and you can be in the water in less than five minutes from your door! We were all blown away by how thoughtfully this rental was set up for every need, meals were a breeze with all the dishes and cooking utensils provided; everything a family could need is there - extra sheets, trash bags, beach chairs, towels…the in unit washer and dryer was SO helpful, especially with all our hiking and beach days. Dana was very intentional in setting up her home, as if she lived there. Instructions for everything from using the big screen TV to her lovely eucalyptus shower spray.
We have saved this rental information for our next trip to Maui, we couldn’t recommend it more and we’re looking forward to visiting again!

We had an incredible time at this beautiful condo. We did NOT want to leave! There were only a couple minor issues with WiFi and the microwave which were promptly fixed! We loved the relaxing atmosphere of this property, with 2 pools and 2 hot tubs to choose from and the ocean out the door, we never felt crowded on the property. You can't beat the view from the lanai of this condo!

We fell in love with Dana's Maui property, and didn't want to ever leave. One of the highlights of our vacation was lounging on the amazing porch, watching whales swim by in the distance, listening to the waves, photographing the constant rainbows. As a fair-skinned person, I appreciated the shade there too!
Dana was so responsive and sensitive to our needs and any special requests. She's a lovely person and a stellar communicator who truly cares that her guests have an optimal experience. And we sure did.
I loved sleeping in the master bedroom, with the ocean singing me to sleep each night, And what a great mattress! My son and his GF were equally as captivated by the property and loved the loft bedroom. I love the views, the tile floors and the modern design of this property, and that every need seems to be anticipated.
The only negative was that we had to check out.
Dana, thank you so much! We'd love to return and stay longer.

My wife, and two daughters (age 3 and 6) just spent 3 weeks at Dana's condo, and loved it just as much as the first time we stayed there a couple of years ago. Dana is an excellent host, communicator, and property owner. You can tell by every detail that she really takes pride in her condo.
We really enjoyed eating dinners on the lanai while looking for whales. There is a Bluetooth speaker that is nice to play some music while cooking. The Vitamix blender was awesome for making smoothie bowls for breakfast. There were plenty of towels, supplies, everything we needed. It truly felt like our home away from home.
This is by far the best building in Papakea, and probably the nicest condo (we've stayed in many here). The way the building is oriented, you can sit on the lanai all day and not be in direct sunlight, yet still see the sunset in the evening. It's just perfect. We will certainly be back again in the future.
Also, a special thanks to Mario (the manager) and the cleaning crew for all they do to make this condo a special place.

This property was EVERYTHING we expected it to be and the photos were spot on. You don't need to leave the resort with the beach right there, you have great snorkling opportunities and an active reef to explore. We enjoyed grilling every night around the pool. The putting green was a fun extra as well as shuffle board. You are walking distance from great food in case you don't feel like cooking or driving. Dana was great to work with, very organized and her instructions regarding check in were easy to follow. I can't praise this place and the host enough. Thank you for helping us make lasting memories!!!

Exactly as described! Beautiful location. Beautiful views. Back bedroom is pretty tiny - my husband and I were in there and not much room for suitcases. But we were hardly in our room at all - too much to see and do! Well stocked kitchen. Nice to have beach towels, chairs , umbrella and cooler.

Just got back from a week at this property. I don’t know how it could have been any better. The condo is on the top floor about 50 feet from the ocean. The views were breathtaking. The housing configuration was perfect for our family of six. The resort has amenities like swimming pools, pickle ball and tennis courts, and shuffleboard. Owner was very responsive to our questions. Would definitely recommend to others.

From the moment we walked in, we were in awe! The views, decor and all of the condo amenities were perfect and top-notch. We had our family of 6 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us! The handbook provided easy instructions on everything. The A/C was such a plus! We enjoyed all of the amenities Papakea had to offer as well - two pools, shuffleboard, pickle ball/tennis courts, a very clean property. Plenty of places to walk to (coffee shops, food trucks, market). We would highly recommend this condo and we hope to return soon!

This was our second stay in the last year at Dana’s home at Papakea. We had an amazing week-long stay. We continue to be beyond impressed with her home’s amenities, cleanliness, accessibility to Lahaina/Kaanapali, and overall ambience. We got engaged while we were here and this was the perfect place to come back home to. It was clean and beautifully decorated. I would stay here a million times over. I now have memories of morning swims at the pool with my family, late night chats on the patio furniture by the pool, lunch on the lanai, and so many more. We just got home and I already miss it.

This property is fabulous! Papakea Resort is beautiful. It has a small resort feel, but plenty of amenities and well maintained grounds. The condo was exactly as presented in the listing….updated, clean and roomy. The kitchen is well equipped and the washer/dryer is a nice plus. The highlight of our trip was the lanai with the amazing view. We saw whales, dolphins, turtles and beautiful evening sunsets. Dana was great at responding quickly to any questions. Great experience and we will definitely be back!!!

We had an amazing family vacation staying at this beautiful Maui condo. The condo is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. You can leave the windows open and listen to the sound of the waves crashing. We enjoyed sunsets from the balcony which has great seating. There was plenty of room for our family of 8 people who stayed. We went to many beaches that were just minutes away and had many adventures. The location is perfect to get to any activity you are looking for. The owner is highly responsive and very kind. Dreaming of when we can go back already! Thank you Dana!

This is a great option for those who want to stay in the same unit with other family members. We had a mixed group in regards to ages... from Grandma to a baby. The location is great - certainly have to drive to any beaches if you have little ones - but we figured that out easy. Pool always had open seats. We saw whales every morning from our balcony and loved sitting out on the day bed at night and during the day. Would recommend this condo!

The property owner was easily reachable with any questions we had throughout our stay. The unit was impeccably clean and well appointed with everything one could ask for and the location was very private due to the proximity to the ocean. (No one could look up into the unit by strolling by below).
The property owner was also very upfront about the lack of beach, so we were prepared to look for places further down the beach to sit with our toes in the sand, which we easily found.
My friend and I needed a place to unwind, relax and restore a sense of balance. Falling asleep to the crashing of the waves was soothing and I came away from the whole experience feeling refreshed and and rejuvenated. I highly recommend this property to everyone!

This property is gorgeous and it is truly everything you see in the pictures. They've put in thoughtful amenities like the beach towels, umbrellas, beach chairs, and more. With a family of five it was perfect. Our teenage daughter had her own room, our boys (13 and 5) shared the loft, while we had the master. A lot of room for your stuff, and even a collection of games for playing after dinner. The view from the lanai is AMAZING. Within minutes of arriving, we saw a turtle swimming in the ocean outside the window! The pools were great, and there are even grills around them for making traditional teriyaki pineapple burgers for lunch or dinner. It was an incredible vacation for our family, and this property was our home for 8 nights. Easy access (5 min walk) to groceries, snorkel renting, and restaurants. There are even food trucks open in the evening (unfortunately we didn't get a chance to try them). I wouldn't change a thing about the property! Thank you!

There's not much I can add that is different from others' reviews. This property is absolutely beautiful, comfortable, clean, and upscale. Very spacious and the two extra bedrooms (bedroom and loft) each had more than one bed and its own bathroom. Great for a group and perfect for our family of 4 plus one friend. The views are exactly like the photos. Gorgeous. Also, for those who are sensitive to the heat and humidity - this is the best air conditioning I've experienced in a rental in Hawaii. Truly kept the entire unit cool and comfortable. We loved it and you will too!!

We stayed 7 nights here and it was perfect. The owners are very easy to work with and everything was just as it was listed. They even go above and beyond with lists of exactly what you need and great places to eat. The lanai is right on the water with a great lounging bed that’s perfect for relaxing and those amazing views and sunsets! It’s a great location in the center of everything with some good eating places you can walk to. We were sad to leave and will definitely be back and stay here again Thank you Dana for everything!

We stayed in Dana’s home with our three young children (under 7) from late July to early August. We were beyond impressed with her home and the entire Papakea community. The experience exceeded our expectations, from waking up to the waves every morning from our Lanai to watching the sunset from the stonewall to the food trucks a short 5-minute walk away. The listing and photos do not do Dana’s home justice. We’ve stayed at many big name Hawaiian resorts over the last 10 years and always felt stressed with the abundance of people and rushing to get pool chairs, towels, amenities, etc. Papakea was a slice of heaven - low key, not crowded, immaculate upkeep, and close to so many amazing restaurants in Lahaina. Dana was an incredible host. She is super responsive, knowledgeable about the community, and her home’s “how to” instructions were perfectly detailed. Our kids loved eating breakfast from the Cruzin’ Cafe every morning at the bench table in the kitchen and taking the boogie boards to the beach. We already booked our trip back at Dana’s home next year and would love to make it a yearly return :) Thank you for such an amazing stay, Dana!

We can’t say enough good things about this condo! We have stayed at Papakea Resort before but this particular condo is without a doubt the nicest unit in the entire resort. The views are incredible, the condo itself is impeccably clean and no detail went unnoticed. Communication with Dana (the owner) was fast, efficient and we enjoyed ourselves so much we ended up extending our stay. The condo is conveniently located between Kaanapali, Lahaina, Napili Beach, and Kapalua which is where we spent majority of our time. There’s an ABC store on the other side of the parking lot which was great if we needed something quick we could walk over. Bottom line, if you stay here, you won’t regret it and will likely want to stay longer which is exactly what we did! We are already looking into coming back again next year! Thanks for an unbelievable trip!!

Absolutely stunning home! Updated, serene and optimally organized. The view from the home is simply breathtaking! You can hear the ocean from the balcony and I spent a good share of time just reading and soaking in the views and the ocean air. We even got to see turtles swimming right in front of the home. Tons of great food options within walking distance. You will not want to leave and Dana, the host, is as warm and inviting as the home.

Let me start by saying I’m not one to usually do reviews but this property is amazing! Finally a property that the pictures actually match what you get! The views are unmatched with a beautiful sunset from the lanai every evening! Plus, it’s a great place to start your morning with a cup of coffee overlooking the crystal clear waters of Maui with views of both Molokai and Lanai. Plus, There is a comfortable futon-type lounger for relaxing out there.
The beds are comfortable with plenty of room for the whole family. We traveled as a family of five (3 generations) and having three bathrooms is a major plus! The loft is perfect for older kids (11 & 14 for us). Well stocked kitchen but not over cluttered as you see in a lot of rentals with lots of old pots and pans and knickknacks.
The property as a whole, Papakea Resort, has a lot of great amenities including two polls and to putting greens that this condo is perfectly situated right between the two.
Just book it! You won’t regret it! Can’t wait to return one day! Mahalo for an amazing stay!

After everything we have ALL endured during the pandemic this is exactly what we needed! What was supposed to be a Summer 2020 trip turned out to be worth the wait! Dana was extremely understanding and accommodating when it came time to reschedule. The pictures don’t due enough justice because her home is amazing and the view is everything!! All you had to do is unpack your clothes because she has taken care of the rest literally!(Ofcourse you need to buy your own food 😉) I would definitely recommend this home. It’s close to alot of things and you can’t beat her hospitality! It’s the little things .. Thanks again Dana

This condo is very well-kept and decorated beautifully. It has a very "warm" feel (like home) when you are staying there. The lanai is so pretty, we loved how it overlooks the water and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful! The owners provide boogie boards, coolers, beach chairs, etc... which makes the stay even "easier". They also have nice things like insta pot, Vitamix, espresso maker, etc... if you like to cook/be in the kitchen. The owners were a pleasure to work with and easy to communicate with. The Papakea property itself is great for families, there are 2 pools, many Weber grills, shuffleboard, pickelball, and mini golf - lots of fun activities! We had a wonderful time while staying at this condo and in Maui. We highly recommend this property and cannot wait to go back sometime!!

4 of us stayed for a week at this property. It was absolutely stunning! Just as pictured. Lots to do in the area and only a short drive to some local beaches! You have access to the pools if you’re interested in staying on the resort. I would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity! Thanks for a great vacation spot! Visit bad ass coffee if you enjoy coffee. :)
