Papakea during whale season is always wonderful but the addition of perfect weather and a stay in A404 made it exceptional. Aloha Vacation Rentals made everything easy as can be, communicated quickly and answered every question. The unit is well furnished with comfortable beds, perfect lanai furniture and every possible tool for the kitchen. Having three bedrooms and baths was a real plus. Spend the extra bucks and get that expanded unit. You won't be sorry!

My family visited Maui and stayed at the Papakea Resort. The unit was better than expected. The views are breath taking. The unit was well equipped, very clean and a great location. We had seven with us. Two couples and three kids (8,11 and 14). There was plenty of room. The girls loved the beach, the pool and lai making. We can’t wait to go back.

The condo itself is quite beautiful and has all the amenities one could need. Having three bedrooms (1 actually a loft) and three bathrooms was wonderful. However, the furniture was very uncomfortable. The tables and chairs on the lanai were very hard and too tall to sit on comfortably. Because of their height, they would also be very dangerous for children to sit in since the kids would be sitting above the height of the railing. The dining chairs were also quite hard and some were wobbly. The couch was ok but the material was scratchy. The beds in the main bedroom and back bedroom were very hard. The bed in the loft was a bit better. I would stay at this resort again but not in this condo.

The picture of the patio actually needs updating. They have a great high table out there now with at least 4 chairs. It is unbelievable how close you are to the ocean. It was blissful sitting out there. Several times, I could see a sea turtle swimming out in front due to the ocean proximity.The beds were quite comfortable. Even with the door and windows closed, you could hear the ocean in the main living area and the primary bedroom.The condo was incredibly clean, was very well stocked with items such as spices that would be expensive to purchase for the amount needed. Also, the kitchen was well stocked for anything one would need. They had things I wish I had in my kitchen. I was also impressed with child sippy cups and plates. They thought of everything. They had beach chairs, boogie boards and noodles which really came in handy. It is not what one would think of when you hear the term "central air", but it functioned well and I was very grateful for it.The management company was great and Papakea Resort is nice and very well maintained. I would absolutely stay here again!

So three bedroom areas with 3 baths fit perfect for our family vacation. Only issue I would address is in the summer months it is HOT in these condos and although it has AC throughout, these were not turned on when we arrived and it took a full day for the three sleeping areas to cool down. This meant the first night was a rough one. One more positive: Papakea itself is a gem. Not a high rise. Less crowded but with great amenities. We stayed in August and there was a beach every day. Meaning no need to walk down to the beach next door. My guess is based on other reviews this is not the case in the winter months due to tides, etc. but not sure. Kids loved the pool, shuffleboard and putting greens and I loved grilling by the pool. Every morning coffee on the lanai or the grass area which is beautifully maintained. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The condo was perfect for our family of 6. The ocean view was spectacular to have coffee in the morning on the lanai to watching the sunset every evening with a glass of wine. Falling asleep to the waves of the ocean was so relaxing. The location was perfect for the many activities we enjoyed to lounging at the pool or playing shuffleboard on property. The condo was very clean and was equipped with plenty of kitchen gadgets to make meals. Mahalo!

We loved our stay! The unit was very clean and had plenty of linens, towels, and pillows. The view from the lanai did not disappoint! We enjoyed our coffee and cocktails every day out there. The condo was fully stocked. They even had a cooler, beach chairs, and boogie boards for us to use. We enjoyed using the barbecue a couple of nights as well. Our group also had fun playing shuffleboard and using the putting area too. The washer and dryer were of great use as well. The only problem was the outdoor table has some kind of wax on the top that melts in the heat of the day.

The unit is fully stocked, with EVERYTHING you need including spices to cook with. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are updated and clean. So close to the ocean you can fall asleep or wake up to the waves crashing on the shore. If you prefer quiet, just close the windows. We stayed in January 2022 and saw humpbacks walls off the lanai every day. Bring your binoculars to see the whales even closer. Loved using the beach gear stored under the stairs. Owner provided a couple beach chairs, cooler, sun umbrella, boogy boards, and snorkel/google set. Our kids loved their own space in the upstairs loft. Access to our room was delayed a little while as the combination lock on the front door had to be reset when we arrived. We used the putting green and pickleball on the property. Would have also played tennis, yet the tennis court was closed for 2 weeks for annual maintenance. Our family agreed we would love to return to this place again.

This property was perfect for our party of 8. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with high quality cookware and essentials.
With two bedrooms and a loft there was plenty of privacy when needed.
We swam with turtles right out front in the ocean on two different occasions. They are easily seen from the lanai, as well.
We used the pool daily and it was perfect. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience for us.

This was our first family vacation in almost two years and this property made it 1000% more special. It comfortably accommodated a family of 8 adults. It was clean and stocked with all the necessities and then some. The views are magical. You can see Molokai and Lanai from the balcony. Waking up to the ocean in the master bedroom was just a dream. Tina is a very fair person and commendable, very easy to contact and communicate with. Highly recommend this place for your next visit to Maui!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 30 year anniversary and brought our 3 adult children! We had an amazing time. The location is perfect with a grocery store located directly across the street and food trucks right next door! We also enjoyed going to front street a few nights for dinner!
This unit has everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and fun! The views are absolutely beautiful as we kept our windows open at night to enjoy the sound of the waves!
You have the option of sitting on a beautiful area of Bermuda grass or go a few steps to sit on the beach!
There are grills available to use as well and we enjoyed cooking out one evening and drinking wine on the balcony! We definitely want to come back during whale season to be able to watch them from the balcony next time!
I highly suggest renting this unit as you will not be disappointed.

We were excited for our trip to Maui and couldn’t wait to get to our Rental unit. The descriptions and pictures in the ads were great, but you have to see it to believe it. Pulling back the curtains on the lanai was breathtaking, the place was spotless, the cabinets had every appliance and gadget we needed to make our stay amazing (and don’t forget the pools and beach...sea turtles right outside our window!). And Tina was great to work with: great communication, responsive, and helpful. Highly recommend.

This condo was a fabulous place to stay in Maui. The views from the bedroom and balcony were stunning. Waking up every morning to the pink sunrise sky was so calming. We saw sea turtles and whales from our balcony everyday and has easy access to the private beach. I would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing time at this lovely home. We did a quick girls trip. Just 3 of us and it was so nice to all have our own space with bathroom! The views were amazing and we couldn’t wait to get up and watch the whales. Everything about the condo was perfect for our trip. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, the best beach day gear, comfortable beds, fresh linens, etc. We loved having the patio door all the way open for the panoramic views of the ocean. That was an extra special feature. We realized as we were leaving, we never once turned on the TV. The sounds of the ocean and just relaxing was all we needed. Tina was extremely friendly and I appreciated working with her. I hope to come back soon and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
