Loved our stay at this condo, it had plenty of space and was in a beautiful location. Our kids enjoyed the grounds and we were frequently visited by monk seals and even saw a whale swimming by. Beautiful condo with all amenities you will ever need. We had seven in our group and were very comfortable. The rooms were all very nicely decorated and clean.
The view of the ocean and the lovely gardens made the stay so special. Also, across the street are some great eating places and shave ice. Just down the street a few blocks is The wailers Village. Lots of shops and eateries plus free parking for Ka’anpali Beach. Beautiful sandy beach. Appreciate the beach wagon, chairs, boogie board and spare water shoes you provided.
Location was perfect for going north to see blowhole or south to Kihei and further.

You couldn’t ask for a nicer property ! The view from the balcony is incredible . Overlooking the fountain ,ponds, pool and breakers coming in from the ocean. The palm trees and all the vegetations are manicured perfectly and kept up each day by a very talented crew.
The staff was very accommodating as well as the owner who helped us with flexible dates.
We will definitely come back to this location in the future !! Papakae Paradise.

The property was perfect for our family! Our kids are 17,18,22 and 22 and they each had their own bed without someone having to sleep on a sofa bed. This is very difficult to find and we were happy to have found it! The rooms were exactly what we needed and the beds were all comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the beach chairs and wagon etc were an added bonus! The A/C worked well, It was actually too cold at times on the main level and we turned it warner. The upstairs bedroom was too warm with the door shut so we left it open and the temperature was cool enough for us. The resort grounds were well kept and the staff were very nice and friendly. We will definitely refer friends to this property and will stay again if we return to Maui!

Our incredible week in Maui was aided by having a great home base at the Papakea Resort. The condo was well furnished, CLEAN and had everything we needed for the week. The a/c worked well to keep the place comfortable at all times and everything about the property was great. Ideally, there would be beach access right at the resort but everything was a short walk or drive and the location is fantastic. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Maui and couldn't have been more pleased with the unit.

H405 was the perfect set up for my family of 7. Everyone had their own bed-which is very important in my family. Plenty of space to move around. Description was right on and we didn't need anything for our stay of 9 nights. Had a 8 month old, and condo was equipped to make her stay a breeze...play and pack and high chair. Plenty of beach equipment for many fun filled days at the waters edge. We will definitely stay here again. when we return to Maui. So nice to have the whole family in the same unit. Only hiccup was AC in the loft-but property manager was on it and constantly in touch with me as the matter was corrected.

This was our first trip to Maui and we loved the location of this property. Easy access to beaches, minutes from shopping and made a great home base for all the activities. The property had lots of great amenities, plenty of room for 6 adults and two older kids, pools, golf and shuffle board. The view from the balcony was our favorite part, coffee in the morning and drinks at sunset. There was a closet full of beach chairs, umbrellas and beach gear. The kitchen was fully stocked and it was all great quality, not like the cheap stuff you see in other rentals. We would definitely book again next time we visit!

This was my husband and I’s 7th trip to Maui and my in laws and extended families first. We typically stay a little up north but jumped on this spot a year ago given 6 adults and 2 children. It worked out perfectly, each adult couple had their own bathroom, and the upstairs provided the perfect private family area for my sister in law, her husband and two young daughters. The AC and fans kept the entire unit perfectly cool. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked, especially appreciated the insulated wine cups and all the Tupperware. The bathrooms and laundry and little extras really made a difference. What’s truly amazing about this place is the view for one, and the amenities. The two pools, koi ponds, putting green, and swimming right out front were amazing. You can easily access the ocean from the steps and relax in the calm shallow water protected by a coral shelf. This resort is maintained meticulously, with staff out at all hours cleaning, maintaining and keeping guests comfortable. We all fell in love with this resort and unit and can’t wait to come back again. OH and the cats! Love all the cats….Simon, Lani, Ringo and more!!!!

The property was perfect for the seven people in the party. The view was amazing. The only issue we had was the refrigerator ice maker did not work, contacted the property manager the day of arrival and nothing happened to correct the issue, we bought bags of ice and placed in the freezer. The pool, hot tub and putting green were great.

We stayed here with our friends- 4 adults and 3 teens. The condo was beautifully decorated and just enough room for our group. The kitchen is small, but had all that we needed to cook breakfasts. The air conditioning worked well. We were very happy and grateful for the beach chairs and umbrella that were available to use! The view was great- we saw whales breaching every day, but the oceanfront building in front of us blocks the sunset view from the lanai. There’s no beach in front of property, we drove to different beaches to spend the day. The grounds are beautifully kept. It’s a large resort like feel with lots of people around. Not very private, especially on the lanai. You are right next to and will probably make friends and join conversations with your neighbors as you are basically in the same space.
Overall, we had a wonderful time. But for our preferences, which includes close proximity to swimmable beach, smaller property- we wouldn’t stay here again.

We are a family of 7 and this fit us perfectly. The location was beautiful. Every night we went down to watch the sunset. Great beaches are very close by and a snorkel rental place is right across the street. Everything inside the home was in working order. The only bummer was the upstairs shower got cold quickly and did not have great pressure but no big deal.
Communication with the host was prompt and always willing to help serve us.
When we come back, I will definitely stay here again.

Pandemic prompted me to book this family vacation almost 2 years in advance. Property was exactly as advertised. Lots of room for our family of 8. Questions were answered quickly by owner. Property was as advertised and was well equipped. We loved having the wagon, cooler and beach chairs as we walked to many of the nearby beaches. The resort is kept in immaculate condition and has daily activities. Our family enjoyed the pickleball courts for our nightly tournament. I would highly recommend this property for families or couples who like to vacation together. We hope to come back some day

This place is exactly as listed. It was perfect for a family. We brought our daughter (14 months). It was great to have a pack n play, stroller and baby gate available. The ocean view is so great and it's perfect to eat out on the balcony. There were 7 of us and it worked out perfectly. This unit accommodated our group perfectly! We stayed with my son and his family if 4 with no issues. The unit had everything we could possibly have wanted. The resort was amazing and super family friendly. We used not only our accommodations but the pools and restaurants down the beach were all available for use.
We had much extended family staying in other units at the Popakea Resort and everyone was happy with their stay.
The only minor issue was that the air conditioning couldn’t quite keep up with the outside temperature a couple of days but we were hardly there during the day anyway.

This condo was wonderful. This is our 3rd stay in Maui and this condo was our favorite so far. It is very clean and lovely inside. The only issue we had was that the A/C wasn't working very well in the living are and the loft, so it was very warm at night in those areas. Overall a great experience, though, and would stay here again.

Great unit except the AC could not cool the loft, living room and kitchen. 2 downstairs bedrooms were cooled to 74 degrees which felt fine using the ceiling fans and keeping bedroom doors shut. Need more box fans for august heat or better AC. We mostly cooked and ate at the grill and pool area until dark so room could cool down and outside evenings worked out well for our group. 6 gas grills very nicely landscaped and spaced individually around pool worked great.

So glad we were able to book this condo for our much awaited family trip! Plenty of room for our group of 9! The condo itself was very clean upon our arrival, the kitchen was well stocked, and even included beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels! The view of the ocean and magnificent sunsets from the lanai were unbeatable! The resort grounds were well kept and we were able to use the grill poolside for 1 night. This was our 3rd time in Maui, but our 1st time in this location and it was very convenient to our itinerary. Our only small complaint was that the room upstairs can get pretty warm since there is no AC there, although 2 fans were provided. But our tween and teen that occupied the room didn't seem to mind so much since it was a nice private space for them. Overall, wonderful stay and would definitely go back there again!

Nice condo very clean. The resort keeps the grounds immaculate. It definitely has that Old Hawaiian feel to it. The balcony faces the west so it gets very hot in the evenings and there is some type of box that blows hot air on the balcony but the sunsets are amazing. The pool was a little run down it was missing tiles and several of the pool chairs were in bad shape.
The only complaint we have is there is no air conditioning in the upstairs bedroom (the unit is outside of the bedroom in loft area) Even with the fans provided it was probably close to 80 in the bedroom.

The perfect retreat for our family of 6. This condo far exceeded our expectations. Fully furnished with lots of extras. We enjoyed the thoughtful gift of coffee and pancake mix that greeted us upon arrival. The food trucks next door were great for the evenings we didn’t have reservations. We especially appreciated the beach chairs, umbrellas and cooler that were found in the “pay it forward “ closet. There is beach access about 5 minutes away and free parking. It is my pleasure to recommend this spacious 3 bedroom/3 bath unit.

Loved the location and grounds! The condo was smaller then it appears in photos. Especially the dining and living room area. There were no overhead lights in the living room and loft which made playing games and reading difficult. The kitchen was new and well stocked! The games they had were all missing parts and pieces. The condo is in need of a thorough cleaning and some upkeep.. Walls were dirty and the stair railing was broken and loose. The bedrooms were beautiful and what they appeared to be in the photos, the loft only had one dresser in the back room so if you’re staying up there you’ll pretty much be living out of your suitcase. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

14 total people stayed at Papakea between two units. Though nice, H405 blew away our other condo. Very well equipped, very spacious and amazingly comfortable. We loved watching whales and having coffee on the lanai in the morning, fully utilized the beach toys and snorkel gear in the closet and kitchen was perfect for making breakfasts before heading out for the day.
Property owner and manager were very responsive to a minor maintenance issue and property staff was awesome too. Will definitely recommend Papakea and H405 to anyone venturing to Maui! Mahalo!

This is our second year coming back to this condo and it is just as amazing as last year. The property owner, Tanya, is so easy to work with and right on top of any requests that you might have. The on-island manager is also wonderful to work with. The condo is clean, has a lot of space for our family to spread out, great ocean views to watch whales while eating breakfast at the bar on the balcony, and the little bonus room upstairs for the kids is a huge perk! We would not hesitate to stay her next year but their condo is in such high demand that it's almost completely booked up already for next winter, not surprisingly :) Thanks again Tanya for sharing your condo, we cherish all of the memories!!

My family and I stayed here for my daughter’s wedding in Lahaina. Because of the varying ages and family configurations of the guests, the condo was perfectly laid out so everyone had privacy and their own bathroom. We had our coffee on the lanai, overlooking the pool area and beach every morning. We were only minutes away from the wedding venue and other family members who stayed at other places.

Group of six friends used this listing as a base for touring multiple locations on the Maui. We found it well located to accomplish all of our activities with little issue. The apartment itself was clean & as shown with no issues aside from some minor heat later in the day due to the large sliding glass doors (difficult to close completely). The owners responded quickly to questions before our trip which was greatly appreciated. The condo is nicely updated and decorated. We had a few guests over for dinner and received lots of compliments on how nice it was. Although it's not a large square footage, it doesn't feel small at all and sleeps a lot. We really enjoyed the table and bar stools out on the balcony. The kids loved being so close to the pool AND the beach, what a treat!!! Newly remodeled kitchen and Master Bdrm cool Ac downstairs once the units were turned on and properly set during the unusually Hot temps according to the locals. we slept 8My wife and myself in the master, 2 in the downstairs secondary rm
2 adults and a 5 year old in the upstairs primary rm and one in the upstairs living/bdrm area. nice pool and hotub area w/ well manicured golf grass and mini course surrounded by a beautiful conc walking path to the pool area and the ocean. ABC convenience store adjoining the property through a parking lot gate access with a major grocery store located almost directly across the street from the property entrance and a food truck court very near by, all within short walking distance. The Lanai Balcony was great and view was exactly as advertised in the website picture. The Master bed was very comfy like sleeping on marshmellows..I hope Justin and Tanya will reveal what brand of mattress that is they have in the master bdrm, I would like to buy one for my home - I searched for a tag or mattress brand name and could not see one, needless to say my wife and I slept very well at night. As far as the groceries go-I would bypass the costco near the airport and just buy groceries at the big grocery store across the street from the Papakea Resort. Prices there are not as high as I thought they would be. Most Items weer maybe 15 to 20 percent higher than what grocery stores charge in San Antonio, Texas. All appliances were pretty new and worked well. We also cooked steaks one night on one of the 6 gas grills that are located in the pool area. There was always a ground crew performing alternating tasks daily such as mowing the lawn area one day, raking leaves/palms and edging another day, crew cleaning all of the gas grills on another day and hosing down the pool area concrete daily. We were about 10 to 12 minutes from the whalers village mall which is three levels of high end style outdoor mall and restaurants and beach area near the Flagship Westin Hotel and grounds complex, This is where our favorite restaurant " The HULA GRILL" is located right off the beach access area with most of the tables outside and very premium ocean views pretty much wherever you sit. We had a great time as a family of 8 with 2 rental cars and a very pleasant 7 day stay. Every morning my wife was up at 6 am reading her book on the manicured lawn next to the ocean sea wall-We would definately book again whenever we return.

The owners were super great to work with and truly have a beautiful place! They were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We have absolutely no complaints! We went with our best friends and had 5 kids under the age of 12 sleep upstairs in the loft and it was so perfect for them. The view was perfect as well. Had an issue with the front door shutting properly but the property manager handled quickly. We had such a fantastic time during our stay at Papakea. The condo had a beautiful view of the pool and ocean, as well as easy access to all amenities, including front desk and parking. The decor was stunning and it really did feel like a home that we were visiting. This property is great for groups and families, as there was lots of space and privacy for all. We traveled with 2 children under one year of age, and the highchair and playpen was a major bonus!

We had such a fantastic time during our stay at Papakea. The condo had a beautiful view of the pool and ocean, as well as easy access to all amenities, including front desk and parking. The decor was stunning and it really did feel like a home that we were visiting. This property is great for groups and families, as there was lots of space and privacy for all. We traveled with 2 children under one year of age, and the highchair and playpen was a major bonus!
I will highly recommend this to friends and family! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful "home away from home".

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautifully renovated condo. We were five adults and two babies and there was plenty of space. It was especially nice to have the condo full of everything that we needed, it felt just like home :) (of course without all the snow and cold)
The view off the balcony was breathtaking, we loved being able to watch the whales with a coffee or drink in hand. This was a fantastic place to take the family. Thank You, we had a blast and look forward to the next time. Cheers!

We stayed in this condo for two weeks, 3 couples... In fact we are still here and I'm writing this while overlooking the ocean from the lanai. Beautiful view! The condo is lovely with all the comforts you could imagine, the decorating is fabulous, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, great beach toys and close to everything you need for a great vacation. The complex is quiet and really well kept. We are definitely coming back.. In fact, we don't want to leave!!

We stayed in this condo for our Christmas holiday and had a fabulous time. We had my sister with us and the loft worked out perfectly for her to stay in while my 2.5 year old got her own room. The condo was very nicely finished, well equipped and what a view! Couldn't ask for a more dead center view of the ocean from this unit. It was also so close to everything. We typically stay in Wailea but this was great to be so close to Lahaina. It was nice to have beach toys and a park right down the street, along with a grocery store pretty much right across from the complex. Everything was very convenient. We would definitely recommend this unit and stay here again. The owners are very prompt in their responses and even called while we were there to make sure all was ok. Great trip!!

Loved the condo and the view from our lanai was wonderful as it was facing the ocean and coy pond.
The place was fully furnished with everything you can think of and it was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The condo can definitely accommodate a large group of people or a couple of families. I went with only one other person so we had a lot of space to lounge around in and we didn't even use the second level at all. Kitchen and appliances were fully stocked so you can choose to make your own meals and blend up your own margaritas! We had an adventure of a lifetime in Maui and could not have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you Greg, Ronda, Tim and Brenda.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our son's wedding on Maui. Staying in this beautiful condo was the perfect place for us to relax in between festivities. It easily accommodated our group of 8 adults so we ate most of our meals "in" to save on expensive restaurant dining while we were there. We loved the Papakea location which is more private than the Kaanapali hotel strip yet within walking distance of plenty of shops and markets. This unit is so nicely decorated, comfortably furnished, and well-stocked that we would definitely want to stay here the next time we vacation on Maui with friends. We even watched the whales from our 4th floor lanai!

We just returned from Maui and had a wonderful stay. The condo was very nice, clean and well-equipped. We especially appreciated the baby gear, like the playpen and highchair, as well as all the beach/fun stuff. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony where we watched the whales swim by in the ocean and our one-year old son had a great time looking over the koi ponds. The resort is close by to all amenities and a few minute drive to some beautiful beaches, like Napili and Kapalua. We are looking forward to visiting again.
