Perfect condo for our family of 6. Two master bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a loft with two beds and its own bathroom. The description of the property should be changed to make it clear the third "bedroom" is a loft. The balcony faces west and has a beautiful view of the ocean, although in the afternoons it gets pretty hot.While technically the condo could sleep 10, it would require two people in each bed and on a pullout couch. Honestly, it comfortably sleeps 6. In my instance, with grandparents, parents, and a teenaged boy and girl, it was fine, but could have been a problem if we had brought anyone else as they would have had to sleep on the pullout, making things pretty crowded.The property fronts the ocean, but there is no beach at the property, just a sea wall. It is only about a 50 yard walk to the beach, but that wasn't clear in the description. Christine, the host, was wonderful to work with. Snorkel mask and fins and boogie boards were provided, which was much appreciated. Short drive (5 minutes) to Whaler's Village.

This property was absolutely gorgeous and I was amazed at how much we liked the resort and the grounds. Pictures did not do it justice. This unit was well appointed, clean and spacious. It has a window unit in the living room and they provided lots of fans to use throughout the house and even in July we were very comfortable. The lanai was enjoyable with a nice ocean view and overlooking the putting green and the pool. This was our third stay in Maui and I would choose this condo over any others we have rented previously. We would absolutely consider staying at this property again.

This was the perfect spot for our family of 3 for our 11 days in Maui. We had everything we could want for a comfortable stay, from a balcony with an excellent view to two family-friendly pools to the ABC store and a famous cinnamon roll spot a short walk away. The location is wonderful, right at the top of all of the Kaanapali beach resorts. We had easy access to all of the action, but we didn't feel like we were right in the middle of it. We really enjoyed our stay!! The place is very clean and well decorated. It is clear the owner takes great pride in her home away from home. The beds were comfortable. The AC kept things cool and the humidity level down. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook a meal. Our favorite part was eating dinner on the deck while watching the sunset over Lanai! Our stay was fantastic. The pictures on the listing aren’t updated but the bathtubs have been updated to showers which was a pleasant surprise. The views from the balcony were incredible with the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other.
We had a mishap with the keyless lock but it was quickly addressed and resolved.

5 out 5! We had a fantastic time. The unit was well maintained and we enjoyed the top of the line appliances and the property in general. The beds were very comfortable, the West Shower was incredible. That VIEW! Just an incredible view, we were mesmerized by the beautiful sunsets and gorgeous views of Molokai and Lanai. The artifacts around the unit were nicely themed and shows how loved this wonderful unit is. We would love to stay there again!

We knew exactly what to expect from the communication about the booking, arrival and check out process. The view from the patio was spectacular. There was an issue with the ceiling fan and it was taken care of immediately. The kitchen was very well stocked, maybe just needs a BBQ spatula for pool side dinners. There were 4 beach chairs and beach towels for everyone. It was well stocked with TP, paper towels, laundry soap and dishwasher soap. Unforgettable family vacation! Mahalo!

The property is wonderful, has the perfect "Hawaii" vibe. The grounds are well looked after, pools were cleaned everyday and had a was set at a great temperature. Our room was exactly as per the photos, so no surprises there! One thing I must add, is stop by and get a cinnamon bun at Papi's Ohana which is just infront of the resort!!! Best in the world hands down, just be prepared to wait!

This place is absolutely horrible. Don't be hoodwinked like we were. The listing claims it has been remodeled, but that is incredibly misleading. They did the bare minimum and called it a remodel. The best way to describe it is a Frankenstein renovation where a few cosmetic updates were slapped onto an old, worn-out property. Overall, it feels dingy.The master bedroom bed is legitimately broken. There is a large sunken section with a crease down the middle that constantly pushes you back onto your side. It was one of the most uncomfortable beds we've ever slept on.The lighting throughout the unit is terrible. It feels like you're living in a dungeon. It's extremely dark, and the lighting controls are unnecessarily complicated.One thing I always do after showering is walk around barefoot for a few minutes to see how clean the floors are. The bottoms of my feet were brown. That tells you everything you need to know.The entire apartment had a strong musty smell, like it had been soaked with moisture and never fully recovered. It never felt fresh or clean.Parking is extremely far from the unit, which becomes a major inconvenience when you're hauling luggage, groceries, beach gear, or traveling with kids.The elevator is tiny and still requires a decent walk to reach the front door of the unit. Since you're on the fourth floor, it's not like you have much of a choice.In short, if someone offered me a free vacation to Hawaii but told me I had to stay here, I would decl

We would highly recommend staying here. We fell in love the moment we walked in and felt right at home. We spent a lot of time on the lanai enjoying the beautiful views. We were a short walk to grocery store, cute little shops, food trucks and the beach. The pools and property were very well kept and the complementary MaiTai's on Thursday evenings were a bonus! Dana kept in contact with us and left us great instructions on her place along with things to do in the area. If we ever get a chance to come back here we will definitely stay at Dana's condo.

Christine did a great job of communicating with me. Great items in the kitchen for us to use….except the blender blades were broken. Great spices in cupboards to use. We left even more for the next people. So nice to have beach towels for us to use and an air mattress too. We were crowded when trying to eat meals but 10 of us stayed in the unit. Not gonna lie I was kind of freaked out when my hubby found a huge dead cockroach behind the couch the morning we were packing for home. Better dead than alive!!!! Hoping we won’t take little creatures home with us in our luggage.

My wife and I have stayed in a number of excellent properties in amazing places with amazing views. This one ranks right at the top of the list. The view of the Pacific, Molokai, Lanai from the corner lanai never gets old. The property owners have equipped the condo with everything from comfy beach chairs to binoculars. Sunsets are striking and as an added bonus, from the corner setting, one can enjoy great sunrises as well. We highly recommend booking this property (A407) in particular.

Rental unit view was truly awesome. Sunsets were spectacular. Resort was great. Unfortunately we had a few problems with the rental. Sink was leaking when water was running down the sink so we stopped using for several days. Contacted host and several days later someone came to adjust. Unfortunately, Not much warning that someone was coming to rental. Received call from host and 2 minutes later a knock on door. Lucky we were even around. Next issue, we tried to do laundry ag rental part as we had a two island twoweek trip planned. Discovered Laundry would not drain. Contacted host again. Was told to try different things which turned into a waste of time as the belt on laundry tub was shredded and needed to be replaced. Host asked if I could find part and fix. This is something I did not have time for as we were on our 20 year anniversary trip with plans everyday. Not having ability to do laundry at rental was a major inconvenience that took away time and additional cost. Ended up having to spend part of day at local laundry mat. No compensation offered. Before we left we discovered the Living room TV works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t. Needs to be replaced. View from rental and resort are awesome. Spending over 3,000 for 8 nights you would expect a maintenance person being available even being a self managed rental.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The home is clean and comfortable and the beach toy closet really helped. The resort is much nicer than I expected and we enjoyed the pools and hot tubs. It has a very relaxed feel. We also watched turtles swim along the sea wall. The location is great, close to lots of restaurants and really in the middle of everywhere you would want to be in West Maui. We would definitely stay here again. Make sure to hit Penny’s for breakfast which is awesome and right next to the home.

Papakea Resort is very nice. The grounds are beautiful. The specific unit is large and was able to easily accommodate our family of five. However, the unit itself is out of date and not in the best condition. For example, one of the kitchen cabinets was missing a pull and had a screw sticking out. Carpet in the master bedroom is old and stained. Also there was some type of work order on a piece of paper taped to the wall in the hallway with blue painters tape.

Place is fine, not as updated as stated and pictures are not quite accurate. It was a little dusty and the kitchen floor was not super clean. The worst part was the confusion with the posting. It stated AC and there was not. The fans did not work great and were old and slow. Guest twin bed was so cheap and uncomfortable. I’m sure the owner is great, the issue was with the My Perfect Stays. They know it’s confusing, but they don’t change the listing. Others have been in same predicament. If you come when it’s not as hot, fans could be fine. It wasn’t for us. We were miserable and MPS was slow to work it out. We lost a day and a half resolving issue.

This unit was the perfect location for our vacation in Maui. I couldn’t have asked for a better location/host combination.For a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) this was a perfect setup. The unit came equipped with a kid friendly second bedroom with a readily available pack-and-play. Full kitchen and washer/dryer. Parking was very convenient.For leisure, the resort was a phenomenal location. The specific unit was adjacent to a pool, or just a few steps in the back, adjacent to the beach. The unit came equipped with snorkeling gear, beach chairs, toys for the kids, and beach towels.The communication with the guests was great. We really only needed one thing from them, and it was very minor—but was fixed right away.My experience with this unit, location, and host is 10/10 — highly recommended, and I will personally repeat with this location in the future.
