You are paying for the location and the view and that is about it. This condo needs a lot of work - broken outlets, windows that couldn't open, holes in the walls, floors are filthy and if you are just looking for the basics it barely had it. Glad we didn't have to spend a lot of time indoors and could enjoy the beaches right outside the condo unit.

The views at this condo were the absolute best part of this spot! The window to the right as you walk into the unit makes the whole condo feel so open. It's right on Sugar Beach so you walk down and you can take a walk on the beach for a nice morning or sunset walk. Down the beach we were able to see sea turtles and so many beautiful views. The condo has a more updated kitchen which was nice. It was easy to get in and out of the condo and the main bedroom view of the beach and sea was so nice to wake up to. The patio furniture had a good quality and so nice to sit on as you eat any meals. Another thing we liked is having a washer/dryer unit as well. There's everything you need for cooking meals and also gear for little adventures like snorkeling and boogie boarding. Overall we would recommend this spot to anyone who wants easy access to the beach and close places like the ABC store for general items and Ululani's Hawaiian shave ice which we frequented. It was lovely to have a corner unit, however, there is a large palm directly in front of the lanai which blocks the main view directly out to the ocean from the unit. The unit was bright, pleasant and well supplied in the kitchen, but a few things need updating and the windows really need to be washed on the outside. The garberator broke 2-days before we left and resulted in water to be cleaned up and a pot under the sink until we left. The couch really needs to be replaced as it was rather smelly. For the price, the living-room furniture needs to be updated.

The location and view for this property are perfection!! The beach is great and very close. The property was clean-ish. The floors we’re filthy and the sinks don’t drain. The worst part of this entire unit are the beds… the king is so firm it’s painful. The twins in the second room are just as bad. The bedding is cheap and worn. The property would be perfect with a good deep cleaning and new beds/bedding.

Overall, we had a great time staying in this condo. The view was perfect and we really enjoyed being able to walk down to the beach every day. The property management team was also great at communicating. We did experience a few minor issues during our stay. I reported termites on the second day we were staying there and the issue was never addressed - the pile of termite droppings got larger by the day. Additionally, if you are a light sleeper you should definitely bring ear plugs - the roosters start making noise around 3am. Note, the window above the headboard is extremely thin so be prepared to hear people walking by and the traffic on the adjacent street. There also is very little air flow in the bedroom so if you are a warm sleeper you may want to sleep above the covers or in the living room. Lastly, it was a disappointment that we were not informed that there would be extensive construction in the parking lot during the entirety of our stay. There was nowhere to park our car several nights in a row. This is something that should have been communicated at the time of booking or as soon as the property management team was aware that it would be happening.

This is a great Condo to stay in. We were there for a month. Its close to everything. Easy driving anywhere from this location.The King bed is probably one of the most comfy we have ever slept in. Lots of towels, and had all the beach accessories, chairs, umbrella, coolers ect. Grass area and pool kept very organized and clean. Couple items I think need to be updated. Condo has a icemaker in the freezer but it's broken. Making ice everyday is a pain and the ice trays had holes so made the freezer icy. The oven/stove is very old. Took over 25 minutes for the oven to heat up. The stove has been wiped down so many time you can't see any numbers so you don't know if you are on high or low for the burners. There were no cleaning products at all in the condo. I called and left a message with the management company but never heard back from them. Overall experience was very positive and would stay at this location again.

This property is located on Sugar Beach. It is a great walking beach. Our stay was 2 months after the fire and Kihei was still very quiet. This condo is off the beaten path. We drove to those places but enjoyed the smaller to no crowds on Sugar Beach. We will return.

We have been to Maui at least a dozen times. We have always stayed on the west side. Out of respect we canceled those reservations and after staying here I think we found a new love. This place was amazing. Everything was close. The kitchen had EVERTHING you could possibly need. The 2 bathrooms was such a luxury. We only have one at home. The view was unimaginable. The condo is very nice, right on the beach with beautiful views. Mostly "older" people. Check in time is 4:00. Before our trip the management company wanted our flight information and time of arrival so we had hoped for a little earlier check-in time but that didn't happen. Across the street there is a small farmers market, a ABC store, coffee shop & small gift shop. If you are hoping for activity I suggest you stay in town if you don't want to rent a car. If you walk down the beach a little ways there is a place called Dina's Sandwitch. Its a smaller place but the people are very friendly, and the sandwiches and drinks are great. It's the only night life we were able to find without going to town. Lastly, I will add, the picture posted of the lanai is deceiving. It appears it is the end condo but it isn't. You have a neighbor across, above and below with zero privacy. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing place this would be perfect for you.

The Ali’i staff was exceptional from accommodating last minute moves due to construction to checking in on us to make sure everything was to our liking. Great staff! Unit has a fantastic view, great location and on a very nice beach. Only one small issue was the lanai. It has the A/C compressor on it and it blows hot air to the point you can’t sit outside if it is on. It is easily turned off with remote but the the inside heats up. Really wasn’t a big deal for us but might be for others. Great place for a good price.

We arrived at 0845 and called after we had got our car. That was around 1030. Check in isn't until 4PM. We had lots of time to kill. Of course ate wonderful food and went to the beach at another beach. They called us at 330 and let us know our room was ready. It was exactly as it was shown. We loved the pool and beach access. The beach was great although the tide was quite murky/sandy so we spent most of our beach time farther south. The only improvements I would've like would be to allow quests to maybe use the pool or offer up the beach while waiting?? The early check out was also kind of a bummer 10am is early when your flight leaves at 4pm. The room and location with an ABC store, bakery farmers market and the best shave ice on the island right across the street was wonderful and convenient. I would stay there again the next time we are in Maui. We were there during the fires so my heart goes out to those who have lost so much. We are so sorry for your losses. Stay Maui strong!!

If you’re idea of paradise is sleeping to sound of waves and long walks on quiet beach, this is it! The condo is quiet, clean, comfortable, and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Location is fantastic with easy driving access to anywhere you wish to go and a bake shop, farmers market, shaved ice and ABC market directly across the street. Everything we tried at the bake shop was delicious; the mango cheesecake was sublime. Our visit was less than two weeks after the devastating fires in Lahaina and the owners were so helpful and gracious in sharing what they knew about the situation and offered flexibility should we need to change plans. That was greatly appreciated and we are so glad we came. While West Maui remains closed, the rest of Maui is indeed open and visitors both welcome and needed to support the local economy.

This is a great place! It was spacious enough for my family of four and had all the amenities we needed. The provided boogie boards and coolers were a nice surprise. We arrived and the tempter of the was over 82 degrees.
After turning on the AC we could only get the temp down to 78 degrees. When we got up the next day it was down to 75 but started going up by 10am. There was a window AC unit in the 2nd bedroom to help try to get the temp down but it was loud and my kids could not sleep with it on. This is not in the VRBO pictures as there is a stick in the window to keep the window closed for "security" The refrigerator center seal does not work correctly. I had a coke on the table for 10 min and found ants going after it. Lamp shade in the living room was all torn up. The washing machine had a moisture fault (we did not bother to use this). We call on all listed items and were told it is all normal. We called VRBO and they told us to work with the owner. we planned a 3 night stay and only stayed one night and went to a different location at my cost. I have not received any compensation for any of this and stilled paid for the 3 nights. Very disappointing situation.

We just returned after 10 amazing days in this beautiful condo.
Everything was perfect from the beginning. Before arriving we sent a basic grocery shopping list via Maui Grocery and we got all delivered to our room. Is not really cheap but having the fridge well stocked after a long flight and getting there late at night it was well worth it.
The condo is perfect, clean and very conveniently located. Is a short 15 minutes drive to Wailea and the best beaches. If you don’t want to drive you can enjoy the beautiful beach in front of the building. Is so quiet like you have your own private beach.Listening to the waves crashing day and night is a dream come true!
The management is very helpful and easy to communicate with.

The condo was conveniently located and we could get to any part of the island easily. I loved the lanai and being on the first floor. There are lots of chickens and a couple roosters. We loved the rooster our first day but we became less enamored with him and all his noise super early in the morning the further we got into our trip. We also loved the grassy area and lounge chairs just outside our condo, watch out for chicken poop. The inside of the condo was well equipped. Beds were very comfortable and we loved that there were ceiling fans and also oscillating fans. We did have a hiccup with the AC our first night but that was an issue with the chiller for the building and affected all the units in the building so all the fans came in handy. We were warm our first night but the rest of our trip the AC worked great! Management was quick to respond any time I reached out. If we came back to Maui, I am not sure if we would stay at this condo only because the beach is meh even though the view is great! We might stay in a different part of the island – somewhere we can sit on the beach and look at clear water in the afternoons before dinner without loading and unloading our car with beach chairs, cooler, etc. All in all we had an amazing first trip to Maui!

This was the perfect place to enjoy Maui. And it's no mistake that the first picture of this property is the view from the balcony - it is perfect and watching the sunsets from here is amazing. The unit was clean, cute and the perfect size for 2 people. If you are unfortunate like me and have to do some work during your stay, the desk is even placed right next to the balcony entrance so you can gaze out over the ocean while you check your emails. The pool is nice and the location on the beach is even nicer - great for early morning or sunset walks. The size of the property doesn't allow for a lot of people to stay here, which is nice too. Loved that there was a bakery, shaved ice, farmer's market and ABC store right across the street. It was also fun to watch the members from the canoe club next door do their thing each morning and evening - those folks are in good shape! I really can't say enough good things about this place. It is the perfect Maui getaway especially if you aren't into the crowds in the "resort bubble". I miss it already!

The good first - the complex was beautiful, just as pictured. We loved the grassy area and the beach was very nice. The view for the sunset was better than most of the restaurants we went to that claimed to have a sunset view! It's across the street from a farmer's market, ululani shave ice and sugar beach bake shop (for malasadas).
The unit itself is very nice, and is mostly updated w the exception of the tubs/showers which had stained and yellow tile. There was a lot of drawer space in each bedroom, and the closets provided plenty of hangers, a nice iron and ironing board. The kitchen was well stocked.
The bad: as mentioned in reviews dating back for 2 years, the AC does not work well. It only cooled to 78-79 during the day. At night it got down to about 73 but that took a while. We called to ask and were told there was an issue w the compressor for the building. We advised that the filter was filthy, and maybe it would help to change it. We were told the filters are changed frequently and they stay dirty all the time. So, the mgmt team was very prompt, courteous and friendly, but did not offer a solution to the AC problem. They did tell us to open the windows and enjoy the breeze... now I fully appreciate the wonderful Maui breeze, but if the AC is listed as an amenity I think it's reasonable to expect it to function properly!
The washer and dryer are very inefficient. It takes the washer about 2-2.5 to wash a load and the dryer over an hour to dry clothes.

The location was perfect for almost anything you wanted to do. We enjoyed that the beach was just a few steps away and so was the pool, we enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the balcony every morning and cocktails in the evening. Unit was as described clean and with everything you wanted. I would bring some seasoning and spices along with you, otherwise the place was great. We had a wonderful stay here with no issues at all.

This was our first visit to Maui and we can't wait to come back. We loved this location because it was quiet, pretty central, and the bay was calm. We went paddle boarding and snorkeling right outside our door every morning. The condo itself was surprisingly spacious. Any issues were handled quickly (the TV wasn't working right away and some old ladies got crabby with us about paddle board storage but, like I said, the staff was so great and solved the problems right away). It's a great location to be with kids because of the calm water. All of the other beaches we visited had much bigger wave action and would be difficult with small children. We hope to return with our kids someday!

This property is an excellent location for travelling all around the island! Well equipped condo with beautiful balcony view and easy access to sandy beach. Nice pool. Plenty of nearby restaurants, farmer's markets, convenience store, grocery store and anything else you might need for a comfortable stay. Resort staff was very friendly and offered useful suggestions for activities, restaurants, etc. Our check in and check out processes were smooth and easy. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location, shave ice and farm stand across the street. Great for kids and short distance to drive for restaurants, shopping, etc. 10 min drive to the marina for the Molokini snorkeling tour, try SNUBA it’s awesome! Overall a really nice place and super convenient for family.

This condo was centrally located and served us well for our stay. The condo A/C had some issues. The management company worked with us to accommodate the issue and provided remedies. The water at this location is not clear. That was disappointing but a short drive north or south revealed the clear turquoise waters that are associated with Maui.

Be prepared for a lot of in person contact. If that's not your thing, it can be a lot. But the location was wonderful, the view was gorgeous, the beach was clean. Definitely give it a 5 star!!!

Oven/Stove did not work correctly. Intermittent problems with burners and heat. Not possible to cook a meal. TV cable had intermittent issues as well. We were advised to "jiggle the wires behind the TV to get it to work. This was totally unsatisfactory. But, we were moved to another comparable unit and all was perfect. Would we recommend Unit 208? Emphatically not. It appeared the upkeep was lacking and there was very little attention to detail before renting the unit. Unit 503 (where we were moved to) was outstanding in every way. Wish we had known all this before booking. We very likely will not be back. So the first two days were dreadful. The second 8 days in a different unit were superb.
