Overall, the location was amazing. The pool and beach access were also amazing and well kept. However I realize that maintenance needs to happen at all times however, I think the planning and scheduling of maintenance could have been better. There were exterior painters the entire time we were there. They chose to do the fifth floor when it appeared there were absolutely no people staying on the third floor due to lack of lighting at night. It was also a holiday weekend and therefore our railings and everything in the door entrances was taped up from Thursday through Monday.As far as the unit goes itself - great views! Not very clean - used an entire container of wipes to clean light switches, door handles, thermostat, remotes, counters, and tables. Lastly, my apologies because I chose not to leave my shoes outside and the reason being is the carpet was so stained and disgusting that we opted not to walk on it with ourbare feet. All the other amenities inside the unit were fine.I had to switch out the roll of paper towel immediately because there was some red stuff all over it and we wash dishes as we use them because they clearly were not clean. Thank you to the owners, however it was a perfect location and the views were beautiful.

This was a wonderful condo and perfect location. 3 adults stayed just shy of 2 weeks. While the condo did feel tight for 3 people, with only 1 bathroom, it was a nice condo. Sugar Beach Resort is a perfect location to stay at as you are in the middle of wherever you want to go on the island. This condo does not have an ocean view but the pool is right there and the beach is just on the other side of the pool. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai for any meal we had at the condo and enjoyed the landscape and all the birds! The condo supplied us with everything we needed and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to come to Maui.

This place was perfect in every way. I hadn’t stayed in this northern part of Kihei before and wasn’t sure what to expect, but ended up really liking it. It’s one of the very last condos , which means it’s a bit quieter (big plus) than more central locations, but still super close to everything. All the amenities were as described and everything was spotless and pristine. The real bonus was how easy the owner made the check in/out process. Our family had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back!

The location is great on the first floor; and the condo is beautiful. Condo is stacked with lots of supplies. Here are the cons: 1. The vent in the shower was very dirty and dusty.2. The pillows in the master bedroom need to be replaced. Our heads hit the mattress as soon as we laid down on them.3.The bedroom ceiling fan made a rattling noise when on a higher setting.4. The headboard was very shaky, and anytime we moved while sleeping it made a very loud noise.Otherwise we loved our stay and would stay there again!

This property is amazing! I was visiting with my partner and I had never stayed in Kihei before. I was pleasantly surprised. The property is well appointed and has everything you need. It is clean and the check in process is convenient. Now to what makes this property special in my opinion. The beach. I can’t figure it out but the beach the property has access to is SO quiet. My partner and I would walk on the beach and there would be no more than 20 people on the 2 mile stretch. If you want a nice quiet place away from the crowds, I highly recommend this property. We will be back for sure!!!

Great unit. We stayed for my wife’s surprise birthday trip. It was a great unit and we really enjoyed it. We have stayed at the location before in a different unit and we love this place overall.The listing said “top floor” but technically the “penthouse” is above this floor. There were people above us but the floors are not loud so it’s not a big deal. We would absolutely come back and WILL definitely come back to the complex in the future. I will add the view from this unit is absolutely stunning!!

Could sit all day on the protected lanai from sun and afternoon wind. Enjoy watching the outrigger canoes practicing every morning and beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The management company did a stellar job of keeping us updated on property painting project and were always reachable by phone with a helpful smile. We just wrapped up 8 days at Sugar Beach Resort and loved it! The location is perfect—right on the beach and only a quick 7–10 minute drive to shops, restaurants, and everything else you might need. We especially enjoyed the beach walk to grab coffee, fresh pastries, shave ice, and browse the farmers market and ABC store.The pool was great, and the beachside lounging made it easy to relax and soak up the view. The unit itself was clean, updated, and well-stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Super easy to access, too.The only minor downside was the barbecue area—it could use a bit of love, and the wind made it tricky to get a strong flame at times. But overall, an awesome place to stay in Maui. We'd absolutely come back!

This unit is one-of-a-kind. The view from this property is priceless. Imagine waking up and opening the doors to take in the fresh breeze, and listen to the rolling waves. The view is spectacular. The unit has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We made breakfast every morning and one of the evenings cooked out at the grills downstairs. They had plenty of towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel masks, books and games. The bed was comfortable and the shower water was refreshing. The soft colors used throughout the unit made it a place we enjoyed coming back to each afternoon. We look forward to returning.

The sounds of ocean waves, morning walks on sand beach right outside the balcony and easy access to other parts of island make this location exceptional. The condo is nicely updated. Building was older but pool area and landscaping was well maintained. We cooked most days and found majority of kitchen items needed (had to buy additional dish soap for our 10 day stay). We enjoyed watching the canoe club practice early mornings and joined them one day for the visitors paddle. A small bakery, farmers market, convenience store and shave ice stand are all in walking distance. Would definitely return. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spot in paradise.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The space was clean, and well thought out. I especially enjoyed the balcony with the view of the ocean. The kitchen was stocked with many useful pieces of equipment, and storage. There were a few spices. We left some oil spray behind. They had beach chairs and a cooler, which we used often for the beach. The pool and hot tub were great. We used them often, and there were outdoor showers to rinse for the pool and I used after walks along the beach. There was a close farmers market that I walked to in the morning. As well as an outrigger canoe tour group which was on the other side of the condo building. They were great. There are many great grocery stores and restaurants and beaches within a 10-20 minute drive. There was just one peculiar thing that happened in the late afternoon when the winds picked up. There was a bad smell that was coming from a drying pond that was near by. We just stayed inside at that time. It lasted for a couple of hours, and when the wind stopped it went away. It would t stop me from staying there again.

We’ve stayed here before and love the location. Kitchen has everything you need. Beach items were available altho only 2 chairs and no umbrella. Lots of snorkel gear to choose from. No carpet so sweeping is a breeze. Sugar Beach is the only place to stay. Definitely stay here again next time.

We always choose Sugar Beach Resort as our go to place for Maui vacations. This unit is on a corner with extra viewing. All amenities are available in the kitchen and bathroom. All tile and hardwood so sweeping keeps it tidy. Granddaughter met a bird on the lanai and they wrote notes back and forth. So many memories on this vacation. I highly recommend this location.

We had a great time at this condo.We walked every morning on the beach, it was clean and beautiful!The condo had EVERYTHING you need for a relaxing vacation. Beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas for the beach and the kitchen was complete with every you would need.Also, there were full size shampoo, conditioner and bodywash in the bathroom! Laundry pods and sheets make it really easy to throw a load of laundry in…no need to buy or pack any! The location was great! 20 minutes from the airport, 30 minutes to Kannapali area and 20 minutes to Wailea area. We will definitely book this condo when we return to Maui!Highly recommend!

Great towels and lots of beach stuff chairs, body boards, umbrella all is great Frankly SB resort is tired….its just ok. But you can’t beat the view. Be prepared for the wind…once again be prepared for the wind…I would not recommend the deli/bar…food is mediocre at best…..
