The hosts sent very detailed check in info and it was a breeze to get into the condo. We usually prefer ocean front condos but were pleasantly surprised by the great view here! The kitchen had great pots/pans/cooking supplies and we were able to cook everything we wanted. There were no sand toys but we picked some up and left behind for the next guests to enjoy!

We love the Sugar Beach area because it is a convenient location and we can walk on the beach for miles in either direction. SB201 is a comfortable, well-stocked, homey place. Sue was a wonderful, helpful host and Larisa a prompt and efficient local contact. Both were quick to respond to texts and requests. We had an excellent week and rate everything five star!

The condo was in great condition and fully stocked. The view was spectacular, and it was very nice to have comfortable furniture on the lanai. We had no problems with parking or accessing the unit. Despite having the doors and blinds shut, we had a very hard time keeping the unit cool. We appreciated the fans in the bedroom. The A/C does not keep up.

Unit was as hoped, close to the pool, kitchen well equipped, close to parking lot, wonderful ocean front lanai for morning coffee and whale watching. Walking distance on the beach to ABC store, ulanani’s shave ice, sugar beach bakery. Short drive to Kihei and Maalaea. One negative. The safe in the unit was reserved for use only by the owner, not guests. Thought that was very poor form! Never ever had a rental where the safe was not for the renter, who needs the safe because we always have substantial cash for tipping. The owner has the code to our condo and we have no where to keep valuables

We loved this condo! The views from the balcony were stunning, especially those magical Maui sunsets. Bring your binoculars to watch the whales all day long if you're there during whale season! It's a short, easy drive from the airport and all of the amenities of the city, but sits on a quiet stretch of sandy beach that you can walk for miles. A short walk down the beach can take you to the ABC store, the Sugar Beach Bakery for amazing breakfast pastries and Ululani's Shave Ice. The pool and hot tub area is lovely and there were always plenty of lounges available. The condo itself was clean and well-stocked with everything you need. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

The location is perfect in every way. The view from the condo is perfect. The condo is just the right size for 2. Plenty of everything in the condo. The beach is like it’s our own. We go at Christmastime and trust me every other beach is packed. Sugar beach is perfect and quiet. So important to me and my husband. Will always revisit this place. It was perfect size for just the two of us. The kitchen was very well stocked, amazing water pressure in the shower, we were steps to the pool and the ocean and it was a convenient spot to get everywhere we wanted to go on the island. I can’t think of anything else we would’ve needed except maybe a couple beach chairs we could’ve taken down to the sand, but other than that it was perfect.

From checking in, to our last day, everything was perfect! The condo is exceptionally clean, kitchen has everything you could need, and the bed very comfortable. The fantastic view from the lanai was my favorite. Morning coffee, breakfast, and evening refreshments were enjoyed while watching the whales. Fully equipped condo had absolutely every thing we could need for our arrival. Good location to pool Some foot traffic all day long right in front but quiet. We did hear the parking lot noise some and of course the Roosters woke us up early. It’s like a train you eventually don’t hear them. Very comfy bed we both thought it was one of the better ones for a Vrbo we have slept in. Such cute decorations too! We met a lot of very nice people who have come there for years and years to the same condos/ this was our first time there. Hot tub was very popular at the end of the day and sight seeing. A lot of little kids/babies during the time frame we were there, Beach equipment in closet including ice chest came in handy for our long drives. Location not walking distance to restaurants but they are a short drive. Very close to the marina and whale watching trips. Saw a few whales in the distance. My favorite thing is this resort is right on the beach and long enough for a good walk daily

We had a great stay at Sugar Beach Resort. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable as well and slept well. We were close to a lot of activities and places to eat. The diner onsite was a nice place to get food and drink. Enjoyed our mornings sitting out on the lanai eating breakfast or just enjoying the view. Could occasionally see whales out in front of the condo area. Took several walks on the beach and enjoyed sitting in the lounge chairs out near the water as well. Would definitely recommend staying here when in Maui and would definitely come back ourselves.
