We really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful location, very quiet and private feeling. Well stocked kitchen, comfy bed. The pool was great, beautiful view from the room, just all great things! The door to get in the room and the toilet handle to flush are both a little quirky to use so might need some advice on how to work those, but no biggy once you know how to work it!

This was the perfect place for a relaxing get away. The condo was fully stocked with every kitchen appliance, dishes, silverware, even a water pitcher with filter. The bathroom had plenty of towels, plus a cloth to remove makeup, blow dryer, plus some (life-saving!) shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. The bed was a little on the soft side, but we slept well. There were plenty of pillows as well as extras in the bedroom closet. Extra linens were available. There were some fun extras like pool noodles in the bedroom closet, sand castle making toys on the lanai, and a small cooler with ice packs to help make the most of out of our stay. The condo was also stocked with detergent to wash dishes and laundry, and dryer sheets. So thoughtful. We loved staying here where we had direct view of the ocean, with plenty of loungers facing the ocean and at the pool. The beach was not crowded at all, which was such a treat. We were able to save some money (and increase time spent swimming) by using the kitchen for one or two meals a day, which was great. The only thing I suggest is that light sleepers bring earplugs - the doors to the condo above (or next door?) start to open and close (and open, and close, and open) as soon as the sun starts to come up, and it can be VERY loud. If you plan to get up early every day of your trip though, this probably won't bug you at all. Overall, we would stay here again in an instant!

Most beautiful view! Bed was comfortable, everything was very clean. Biggest let down was the unit felt “cheap,” more like a dorm than a penthouse condo. Scuff marks were haphazardly painted over so very noticeable, and decor was minimalistic to a fault. With just a little care to details this property would be amazing. It’s an older building so there are some quirks (like the dryer venting in the bathroom) but all in all it was a great stay.

Pleasantly surprised having never been to Maui before. This was 1 of 2 properties I narrowed down. The other was further NW & had 2 separate bedrooms & more expensive but wasn't needed when another couple wasn't able to make the trip. The view & ocean proximity of this unit exceeded that of the 1 we rented when we moved on to Kauai for the 2nd half of our vacation. The entire experience was effortless.

I had a wonderfully relaxing stay at this fantastic condo. The ocean view from the balcony was breathtaking, and the wall mirror in the kitchen beautifully reflected the scenery. I absolutely loved the contemporary style of the space. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience even better. The complex itself felt private, convenient, and well-maintained. Strolling along Long Beach was a true highlight. I will definitely choose this place again for my next trip to Maui!

The room was perfect, absolute gorgeous view right out the front slider, which opened wide. The condo had everything you could need. Bed was comfortable. Place was clean. I highly recommend it and I miss it already. Normally I don’t stay in ground level hotel rooms or condo condos but this one was different. It was just so private and it’s a corner so you can watch what’s going on at the pool which is right next-door. The beach right there is beautiful like I said I miss it already. Book it it’s well well well worth it.

The property was just as fantastic as we expected! Right on the water with an amazing view, large patio to enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail. Beach chairs and towels were provided which was appreciated. The kitchen is very stocked with anything you could think of! Some reviews I read stated that the bathroom door was odd/did not exist. We did not find this to be true as there is a pocket door to the bathroom which provided privacy. My husband and I look forward to booking this unit again next year!

This has an amazing and obstructed view of the beach in ocean. We spend every evening on the lanai, just gazing out and feeling so blessed to be able to stay here. It is located in nice central location so it is near Kihei and also near Lahaina/Kaanapali so we were able to enjoy both ends of the island as well as getting over to the Paia side as well.

Our trip did not go as smoothly as planned. When we check in late, we found the unit had not been cleaned. So we cleaned it and made the bed. (The owner did refund the cleaning fee.). The hot water was spradic, so not all showers were hot. The unit locked us out prior to checkout time, but she was able to give us anew code so we could retrieve our luggage. It was fine, but not a relaxing vacation condo.

The ocean view is even better than you see in pictures! It was just my husband and myself and it was the perfect location and condo for us. Super clean when we arrived! We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai every morning listening to the waves crash against the shore. We love it’s right on one of the best beaches. Communication with Megan was super easy! We will definitely stay again when we come back!

The condo is cozy and beautifully decorated. Kitchen is galley type and small, but well stocked with basic kitchen supplies. The location is wonderfully centered on the West side of Maui. You will need a car, but many interesting locations are nearby, i.e. aquarium, harbor. We loved our stay.

Pros: Love love love staying at Sugar Beach Resort. It’s a great spot on a gorgeous stretch of super soft clean beautiful beach (water is calmer in the early morning and winds/waves pick up quite a bit in the afternoons!) lots of people walking in the beach. Very accessible spot to explore the island. Interior furniture is updated and very comfortable. Great AC and in unit washer/dryer. Comfy king sized bed. Lovely view from the lanai - perfect for sunsets. Modern updated appliances. Kitchen basics are supplied in the unit (olive oil, spices, sugar, condiments) which I always appreciate! Mila was very quick and responsive when I asked questions before making the reservation. Cons: While some aspects of the unit have been updated, some of the amenities are ready for updating (i.e. formica counters, wall scuffs, pool towels had rust stains). Shower water pressure was on the lighter side. No shopping bags, coolers, or boogie boards/pool noodles to take to the beach/pool and only 1 folding beach chair. Mila was slower to respond when I wrote her on Sunday morning about a few of the cleanliness issues and difficulty finding the frying pans (note: they’re stored in the oven). She wrote me back on Tuesday and offered to remediate. Overall, I’d recommend staying here as it’s priced appropriately all things considered so if you’re looking to save a little, this is a perfect spot!

Toilet needs bleaching. A lot of urine around base of toilet.mold in shower. Refrigerator needs a good cleaning. Spillage under glass. Coffee maker wasn’t cleaned. Screens need cleaning and screen door very hard to roll. Mattress was very comfortable but concerned mattress cover should totally be incased around the mattress because of bed bugs. Besides all this it’s a beautiful unit beautiful furnishings. We are thinking about coming every August. We love sugar beach so we will stay there. (Not sure about this unit. Like the plantation side better. Can see towards Kehei and green mountain.) But would like to see the cleaning better. The view is awesome…love the doors open all the way. Loved the rooster and the hens coming to visit. Grounds are very nice and well cared for. Great location. Very quiet. Never heard from the owner. We ve been to Maui maybe 15 times since the 80 s. Owners have always checked on us. That was different. Thank you for the great memories….

Location of suite was closer to N. Kiehi Road than we expected. We still heard traffic during the morning and night. It's only when you get closer to the beach that you don't hear the traffic. Also, I would check to see if the pool will be serviced during the time you're staying (pool was closed for servicing for 4 days towards the end of our stay, 3 wks in total). One night a family were swimming in the pool, including their dog. Unfortunately there was no staff around at the time to stop it from happening.Overall, the suite was clean and well maintained. It was great that the ocean was close by for walking. The grounds/pool crew were up early to maintain the property/pool. It was nice to have the Sugar Beach Bakery and Ululani's Shaved Ice within walking distance as well as the Kihei Outrigger Club.

Our stay was good. The accommodations were nice and centrally located. The pool and hot tub was closed while we were there, that was disappointing but we had the beach and ocean. We don’t spend much time at condo so it was ok. However I wish I would have known. We never received our check in info and door code. The office was very helpful and friendly and were able to get that info for us. Other than that our stay was amazing.
