My husband, mom and I had a fantastic vacation! This condo is perfect with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The location is great. Not far from the farmer's market and our favorite food truck, Shaka Tacos. (Mm mm, the mango hot sauce!) My mom could have spent the entire time on the lanai watching the surfers. So fascinating to be able to see the yellow tang in the waves right from the deck! A humpback put on a commercial worthy show one morning as well. Communication was easy and clear. The condo had everything we could need and having a washing machine and dryer was a bonus! The place was clean and very comfortable. We kept cool with just the ceiling fans and enjoyed listening to the waves at night. So close to the ocean. Thank you for sharing your place with us. We hope to return soon!

Great location, just south of town but not too far. Several easy ways to exit Kona and explore the rest of the island. Like most places, it doesn't look like much from the outside but inside the unit is beautiful with a stunning picture postcard view. We chose this unit for the beautiful large lanai with big table. That is where we took all our meals.
We did a lot of cooking and the unit is well stocked with everything you could possibly think of. Literally I could not come up with anything I needed that was not there. There are plenty of extras, boogie boards, snorkeling gear and lots of other things. All of the furnishings are high quality.
There was a lot of care put into maintaining this unit that I don't often see elsewhere. It came with plenty of paper towels, toilet paper and more. That was not expected. Things like silverware were higher quality which was nice because I'm used to finding cheap mismatched furnishings in some of these rentals.
When we checked into the unit, the TV was set to play Hawaiian music, the sliding glass doors were open and it was like walking into a dream. This building also has an elevator which I guess some of them don't. So that's a big plus. If we returned to Kona we would happily stay here again.

The unit had a very well-equipped kitchen, a fantastic view of the ocean (and sunsets), and with the decor, books, beach equipment, etc., gave a nice sense of hominess. It was close to beaches and activities, and in a nice area. The little convenience store across the street was helpful, and I definitely enjoyed having the pool and hot tub. My only regret was the rooster that lives in the overgrowth next door and started making noise at 2 AM the first night were there. With the window fully shut and the AC on, subsequent nights were much better.

My sweetie and I could not believe the view of the ocean. Incredible! Each morning we would have breakfast on the lanai, and watch the surfers if there were waves worthy of their time. We brought binoculars and spotted dolphin a couple of times, and whales! Great location! Da Poke Shack is a 5 minute walk away. Very convenient, just south of Kona downtown.

Our family of 4 very much enjoyed our stay. Check in/out was easy. Our 2 children enjoyed having their own beds and watching the fish in the water from the Lanai. We loved watching the sunrise on the Lanai too. There were beach chairs, boogie boards, an umbrella and lunch cooler for use which made beach days a blast! The unit we were in was in need of some minor maintenance and upgrades, but was the best rate of all the rest of the units and our visit and memories more than made up for any minor inconveniences.

As others have said, this place was beautiful. The cleaning crew did an amazing job before we arrived. Knutson management were excellent, quick to respond, and I would not hesitate to rent a condo from them again. The kitchen has a good stove and really good cookware, which is a nice change from most rentals. Odd that there were only 2 wineglasses and they were mismatched, but that isn’t super important. The only issue was that the binders with condo instructions were thick and outdated. We found it hard to dig through all the pages and discover what is relevant and what wasn’t. They mention water jugs. Didn’t see them. Couldn’t access the 2nd floor storage unit to look for beach stuff. But you can tell the actual owners of this beautiful unit clearly want everyone to enjoy it the way they have, and that inspires you to take care of it for them.

This was a great property to stay in, especially if you like to be near the ocean. When you enter the place you feel like you are on a boat as the main windows are above the sea. It is also a favorite surfer spot so plenty of free entertainment from the deck. Unit is well supplied for all you need on your Hawaiian vacation. Host is quick to respond. A few downsides - very old furniture, including a couch that is almost unusable, unit does get hot (but sunshades on window provided and can open windows/screens), and an insane amount of property rules. However, if you love the sound, sight, and smell of the ocean this place can't be beat! There were just 2 of us but can fit 4 comfortably. For what you get it is a pretty good deal for being oceanfront.

This is a lovely apartment with comfortable furnishings. Having breakfast while watching the early morning surfers was a great way to start the day and the sunsets the best way to end it. Be aware that there is no AC in the main bedroom and it can get a little stuffy. Seriously, that was barely an issue and our stay was wonderful. If we make it back to Big Island again, we'd definitely stay here again.

Our first time to on the Big Island. This condo was a perfect for our family. The pictures of the unit are exactly what you get. So close to the ocean, watching the surfers in the morning and we saw the spinner dolphins jumping out of the water. It was magical and have no complaints. The air conditioners worked great. Kim called us the first day to make sure we got into the unit and that everything was clean. Took the trolley to town which worked out great. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Enjoyed the hot tub and swimming pool. Highly recommend!

It would be nice to have a copy of the free "101 Things To Do" and "This Week- Big Island" magazines in the condo when we first arrived. We didn't discover those until 2/3 of our stay was past.

We stayed here for 5-6 days and it was great. Only a couple miles down the beach from town, it's a quiet location with covered parking and an elevator. There was plenty of space for the four of us (2 adults, 2 teens) to spread out comfortably and it was very well-stocked with everything from beach gear to kitchen ware and spices. And, the view! Looking out over the Banyans surf spot from sunrise to sunset is hard to beat.
I appreciated all of those details so much more after our kids flew home early and we switched to a smaller place in town. While walking to a restaurant was convenient, the downside was a noisy view of Henry St., spread out parking, and hiking luggage up three flights of stairs. Something for travelers to consider when comparing options.
The owners were great too. They were always quick to respond and were completely accommodating to the handful of changes we needed to make, before and during our stay, to ensure we had the best time possible.

Unit is a little dated but has all the necessities! Communication with the owner was excellent and he was very accommodating to a last minute change to my stay dates. The housekeeping was not up to standards - dried coffee spills on the kitchen counters and a stopped up sink in one bathroom. There were some cleaning products on hand and after a 30 minute wipe down of the counters and bathrooms I was able to relax. Would return to this unit again.

We absolutely loved our stay here, we were in town for the Ironman and it was the perfect location away from the more crowded downtown Kona area, but also just a short drive away. The view from the lanai was beautiful, we spent several hours out there every day watching the waves, surfers, sunrises and sunsets. The condo was very clean and had every amenity we needed as we ate out several times but also cooked as well. I would highly recommend staying here during your visit to Kona.

The condo was just as advertised, with plenty of amenities and space and a breathtaking view which included a front-row view of the surfers! This property was perfect for my husband and two teenagers. The property was quiet, the crashing ocean waves was the loudest thing we heard. The twin bedroom faces the road but the road noise was hardly noticeable. There is a reserved covered parking spot and the unit is easily accessible by elevator or stairs. If you are looking for modern upgrades this is not the place, but this is the place if you want a comfortable place with outstanding views. The unit was clean, had a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and A/C. Owners were very communicative which was appreciated and check-in was easy. We would stay here again.

Nice 4th floor unit in a somewhat outdated building. This unit was very quiet even though it was on a main road. . The furnishings were clean and the bed was comfortable. Beach towels were provided. Kitchen items were adequate including a slow coooker. The level of cleanliness could be upped a notch or two. Some of the light switches did not work. One stove burner was not operational. The door closed hard. There was some food object on the kitchen backsplash (spaghetti sauce?), food on light switches, tooth paste on the bathroom backsplash and the grout is extremely dirty. The balcony is very narrow and not a great fit for 2 people. Overall, a nice unit that could benefit from a DEEP cleaning. Go for the view. You will not be disappointed.

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. The sunsets and moon sets were amazing! We also enjoyed the surfers every day. The location was very convenient, close enough to town but away from the busy area which makes it easy to head out in any direction. The unit was clean, spacious and bed was comfortable (which was a big plus). We enjoyed our meals on the lanai but the outdoor furniture wasn't very comfortable. The lack of AC did lead to a few uncomfortable nights even though the unit had ceiling fans and another large fan they didn’t cool the unit down much. Before our arrival I asked the management company if there was a small cooler, beach towels, or portable beach chairs that we could take off the property. I was told there may be chairs in the storage area on the 2nd floor but no cooler or towels so I packed our beach towels. When we arrived, I checked the storage areas and they were either locked or nothing in them. The unit ended up having a small cooler and a couple beach towels. It would have been nice if there were a couple portable beach chair to take to the various beaches on the island. We had an issue with the kitchen faucet and reached out to Knutson & Associates. They were very responsive and had a repair person out the same day. All in all it was a great unit for our stay great.

When I found this while searching VBRO, I immediately knew this was the place for us. We wanted something that was ocean front....and this is absolutely that! You have these huge floor to ceiling windows just a few feet from the ocean and then combined with a perfect balcony where you could just stare at the ocean all day if you wanted. Then, there's always surfers to watch...it's like a private viewing party (I would have paid for that). Then, add in amazing sunsets every night from the balcony while enjoying a drink or snack/dinner. The host is amazing, too. She gives you her inside scoop into great places to visit and eat. Our favorite beach was one she recommended and wasn't in the two guide books we had studied. We went there three times and it was exactly the kind of beach we wanted: not crowded, calm waters in a bay leading to plentiful and easy snorkeling. We feel like we won the lottery when staying here and will be back again if we ever return to the Big Island. You will not be disappointed if this unit is available during the dates you want to go.

This condo has everything you could need, except maybe a chip clip! We made good use of the rice cooker and the kitchen to cook and help save money during the trip. Every morning we were greeted by unbeatable views and turtles in the ocean. While we spent most days exploring the island, the view of the ocean from the lanai was still one of the best. The bathrooms can get stuffy from no ventilation, but the unit had some fans that we used to help increase airflow along with cool water showers!

We could not get the AC to work properly. When turned on, we started smelling sewer smell. Therefore, we did not use it. The fans were sufficient to keep us cool enough as long as the doors were open. The lights also flickered a few times, concerning us with safety of wiring. There was also mold on the smaller bathroom on the shower curtain. WE LOVED THE ATMOSPHERE, THE OCEAN, THE LANAI, IT WAS VERY CLEAN, FURNITURE AND BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE. I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.

We absolutely loved the place! It was just like the the pictures on VRBO and more! Very beautifully decorated in beach and ocean themes with a wall of windows that overlook the ocean. The sunsets were incredible. It was a great place to relax and listen to the ocean waves and watch the surfers. The owners were very thorough in explaining where everything was located (air conditioner and tv remotes etc). It made everything go smoothly in settling into our new “home”. The king size bed was comfortable to our taste. The condo was well taken care of. The one glitch was that the floors and tables were dusty and gritty. We contacted the owners who promptly went into action to get their cleaner in. They seemed very surprised that it wasn’t clean. There had been an air conditioning repairman in to fix something and the owners suggested that it may have happened from the air conditioning that had been worked on. It made sense because the place itself was well prepared and looked like it should have been spotless! I would say that this place was well worth it . We would love to come again and stay here. This place was one of the highlights of our vacation. A memory to cherish forever.

This unit has it all- amazing view, spacious, full kitchen, washer and dryer, nicely furnished and renovated. The condo also had so many ‘extras’ that made our stay with 2 young kids easier- there were kids books and games, a small cooler, boogie boards and a beach umbrella, pool noodles and a few sand toys, a first aid cabinet stocked with items, lots of cooking essentials like spices and oil, a rice cooker, as well as cable tv- in my experience non of these items are expected in a rental but all of them were appreciated! We loved our stay and will certainly be back!

The property was just as described online, if not better. The view couldn't have been more perfect and the lanai furniture was so comfortable to enjoy the view. The house was well stocked and had all the necessity items we needed. The road-side bedroom was a little loud, but not bothersome, and was expected per the description. Our kids didn't have trouble sleeping in that room. Communication with the host was great. We'd stay here again!

This oceanfront condo with wrap around lanai has stunning views—we could just sit for hours watching the ocean and the surfers. The condo is clean, comfortable and well-equipped. An assigned under cover park space was a bonus and the condo location so convenient. This older, smaller boutique complex was perfect for a relaxing vacation. The pool and adult spa were often our own. This is not our first stay, and it won't be our last.

We loved the condo and location. Enjoyed watching the surfers every day and boating traffic. The waves at night were so peaceful and relaxing to listen to. The condo was well equipped and we were able to take advantage of the area attractions since it was a great location. Any issues have been communicated to Kyle who was very responsive to our texts and requests. REALLY appreciated having AC available in all rooms. We used the AC in bedrooms at night to make sleeping comfortable but never really needed AC in the main rooms as plenty of windows allowed great air flow.

Very nice view and very convenient to town. While there was AC in the master bedroom, it did not cool the whole condo. The second bedroom was too hot/humid to sleep in. The refrigerator was rusty on the outside so it looked dirty.

I only wish I could attach pictures to my review, the view is incredible! Beyond stunning sunsets, surfers to watch all day, relaxing ocean sounds all night had us leaving the windows open at all times.
Centrally located enough, but far enough away from the tourist row. Short distance to Magic Sands Beach, and anything else you’d want to do in Kona.
Pool was always available for use and virtually empty. Hot tub at sunset never got old.
Furnished just enough for our needs, kitchen had anything we wanted/needed. Bed was very comfortable, but we spent most of our time in the unit out on the patio.
We were concerned about the no air conditioning but took a chance, and the beautiful ocean breeze and fans kept air flowing, and we were never too hot or missed the a/c.
We’ve already shared with all of our family and encourage everyone to take advantage of this steal of a deal. Other units in the same building are triple what this one is and it has been my favorite stay. We will DEFINITELY be back and booking again.
The pictures and the listing don’t do it justice … The views. Trust me. 10/10

Was really happy with our choice. Could not beat the view from our room and proximity to the water. Made us not want to leave our room. Free covered parking with a reserved spot. Nicely decorated. Had everything you could possibly need including boogie boards, beach towels, kitchen needs, and appliances. Really enjoyed that it was a small complex and not busy. When we used the pool, no one else was even in it. We could see sea turtles, beautiful yellow tang, and other fish just by sitting out on our lanai. Lots of surfers in the morning and evening. One day when there was no surf we saw people go pretty far out and snorkel. It is next to a very small beach that has shade trees. Lots of great snorkeling close by. The size was perfect for us, but you could sleep 7. Loved having a washer and dryer inside the unit. The breeze and ceiling fans kept the condo at a perfect temperature so much so that we never turned the air conditioning on. King bed was super comfortable. Appreciated the compendium binder that gave us the rules of the condo, how to use things, and suggestions on where to go and things to do. The unit is fairly close to (short drive) to Walmart, Costco, and many other restaurants, and shops. We would definitely stay there again should we come back to the Big Island.

My wife and I spent two weeks watching the ocean and the surf borders from our unit. It was wonderful. Have been to the big island many times but never this close to the water.

Absolutely phenomenal stay! The hosts thought of everything here, from the book of recommendations to coolers, boogie boards and beach chairs, even a coffee grinder, which was put to good use with Kona coffee! Amazing views, awesome location, clean and comfortable.
