Beautiful grounds, nice location, and well maintained condominiums. This property was outdated especially from pictures displayed. I would recommend a unit with a better view. This one had a low table on patio that prohibited a good ocean view. 3 flights of stairs, no elevator made carrying stuff a challenge especially with children. The unit was well stocked with kitchen supplies and equipment. Only one tv in living room. No tvs in bedroom or loft. Unit needs some updating.

Very much enjoyed my stay. Everything was exactly as described. I really liked the ground floor view framed by the beautiful landscaping. So convenient for getting to and from car. Kitchen had everything I needed and more, even a garlic press.
Many personal touches and decorations around the home. I've never had keys on a lanyard before, such a good idea - i didnt lose them once. :-)
Morning coffee on balcony and sunsets down at water were perfect.

Overall we loved our stay. Our first 2 days were a bit tough due to both air conditioning until not working. The management company was able to replace these but it did take 2 days. They refunded us these days and we were able to find a hotel for the nights. We happened to arrive in a heat wave with very little trade winds to keep us cool. Without the air conditioning, the condo was pretty miserable. With the new units, the place was very comfortable.
Everything else was wonderful. The condo itself was clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have a TV in the bedroom or loft but not a huge deal. The location is great and I can’t imagine a better condo set up. We used the pool and spa daily and everyone at the condo was kind and courteous.

The grounds are beautiful. Garden of Eden. Views spectacular. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed the beach chairs and boogie boards. Wrap around lanai amazing and quiet. Will stay here again. Only improvement: Lanai furniture could use upgraded cushions- not very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kona Makai unit. The property is very nicely maintained, and full of beautiful lush gardens. It backs onto the shore & listening to the waves was very relaxing. The unit was very clean and very well stocked. You have everything you need there to prepare your own meals including lawn chairs, The lanai is shaded & we enjoyed sitting out there having our breakfast most mornings. The location is good & is only about 1.5 miles from the center of Kona. It was an ideal location for exploring the Big Island.We would certainly recommend this vacation rental

We had a great stay at this property! Jeanette and Michael had great communication throughout the stay. This is the perfect condo to watch the sunset from your balcony. With ocean views from both the front (bedroom) of the unit and the balcony, it's hard to do anything else but admire. The unit was incredibly clean, fully stocked with everything you might need, walkable to Kona, beautiful landscaping, and easy parking. The unit manager/host, Mo, is very accommodating and is great with communication. I would definitely stay there again.

This property is a gem. A piece of heaven. We felt it was our own little slice of paradise.This was exactly what we wanted. The description was perfect to what we experienced. Great rental unit. Super clean and organized which made our stay the best it could be. A great homebase to launch our adventures on the island. And always nice to end the day with the best sunset we've ever seen followed by a swim in the pool and a hot tub. The unit had all the amenities needed and best of all it had in-unit laundry services which was so amazing and allowed up to do a carry-on for our time away instead of luggage. So amazing The property group was great to work with as well. We actually stopped in to the office while randomly passing by. The two girls in the office where easy to deal with and were so genuine and helpful. They followed up during our stay. Kept in contact and I can't say enough great things about the property management company especially Blake and the two lovely ladies in the office. We will definitely stay here again without question and have already told so many of our family members the same. While there, we totally enjoyed the Volcano National Park, the black sand beach, the local strip in Kona, and of coarse the kona coffee. A great stop for everyone is just a few hundred feet away at GREEN FLASH for some of the best breakfast coffees and drinks around. And great conversations.Canada is home but will always remember this vacation!!!

The wrap around lanai is the most wonderful feature of this property. Our family spent countless hours watching the waves hit the rocks. The condo is well stocked with everything we could need and was clean. It could use a bit of a refresh with paint and linens, but really we came for the view. We would definitely stay again! Zero complaints about this property. It was all we could ask for and more. Perfect location. Beautiful property. Gorgeous and peaceful grounds. Lovely view. Close to all the activities and fun. The house its self was lovely, easy to navigate kitchen, even had beach chairs and snorkels to borrow. It fit our family perfectly and everyone had their own space. My favorite part was the patio for the sunrise.
The management was so great and willing to help with storing our luggage a little longer on check out due to an injury I had while in Hawaii. They were so helpful and that made everything even better.
I highly recommend this place. You won’t regret it. We will be back!

The location of this vacation rental was great. The view of the ocean from the lanai was amazing. The place was cozy and comfortable. Had some issues with the kitchen sink. Heard water bubbling and there was an odor that didn’t smell good.. like black olives or something. The bathroom sink drained slowly. We looked for drain clog remover but couldn’t find any. Thank you

The property was in excellent condition and had a beautiful view across the pool area to the ocean. The interior was very nicely appointed, with two bedroom both with en suite, full kitchen, roomy living room, and washer/dryer in the unit!
The quirks:
1) When we got to the complex, there was a note on the door from the property manager to fill out a form and drop it in the box. We had no communication with the manager during our stay.
2) The 'front' bedroom (facing the pool area) had only a sheer curtain on the window! In the evenings, we could see, and obviously could be seen by, our neighbors -- whether we wanted to or not.
Bottom line - regardless of the small quirks, the property was awesome and we'd definitely book again!!

Loved the quiet property, parking was easy, pool refreshing, gardens spectacular. The view is incredible. The unit itself is top quality and the cleaning service does an excellent job. Everything in excellent condition. Everything very well maintained. Newish appliances, kitchen very clean and had just the right amount of supplies. The decorating of the condo was very well done. Just love the walk in shower. Fans and air conditioning in living room and bedroom worked well and was quiet.
Trash was located near to unit, area was clean and well maintained. I liked that everything was to be separated for recycling. We never had a reason to contact the property manager. Everything went smoothly the entire time we stayed here.
We will definitely come and stay here again. Thank you.

It was a fantastic apartment and it fit our family of four just perfectly ! The unit is well equipped and we appreciated the beach chairs, towels and boogie boards. It was great to have a washer and dryer on site. The kitchen was well stocked. We also liked the pool and BBQ area.

I had the most beautiful stay in Kailua Kona. The apartment was clean and very comfortable, with all the amenities you could ever need. The ocean views from the lānai are stunning! The apartment complex itself is calm, peaceful and very well-kept. The vacation rental management staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with. I would most certainly stay here again. As per location, it’s about 20 minutes of gentle coastal walk to the town, which I really enjoyed. There are plenty of souvenir and boutique-style shops, gorgeous restaurants and cafes. You don’t need to leave the area if you don’t want to, although I recommend you do, the Island is incredibly beautiful!

Claudia’s ocean front complex is perfect!! Being able to wake up every morning to having breakfast on the lanai, is the best way to start a day! And in the evening, to sit out on the lanai and watch the stars, a great way to end the day! The location is perfect to downtown Kona which has so many great restaurants! The pool and hot tub are amazing. The chairs out to watch the waves, oh my! I think I’m in heaven!!! Claudia has you covered as well with all the amenities one could need! Beach towels, a cooler, plates and utensils, condiments. Everything was absolutely perfect! So glad we chose Claudia’s place for our Big Island Kona vacation! Would choose again and highly recommend!!!

VRBO includes a huge number of 'fees' including booking fee, a whopping $400+ 'other fees'. Knutson Associates adds to that - so that in the end, the fees nearly exceed the ACTUAL cost of the rent.The unit we rented was marketed as 'ocean front'. I wonder if anyone has actually visited the unit. The only view is of the units on the other side of the garden.It was a lovely place, I must say. Comfortable, airy, and, except for the kitchen, well equipped. There were 3 glasses (2 small and one tall) and one wine glass. The rest were poolside plastic tumblers. Plates and dishes were plentiful - if somewhat mismatched (expectedly, being a rental with short turn round renters). Cutlery was adequate but perhaps best described as 'variety pack'. Overall, though - we had a great time.

Wipe down glass tables etc. fridge stove etc. Remove all garbage and bottles. No definition for what is "Too Much " for housekeeper. Insulting to consumers who pay inflated cleaning fees. AS A CONSUMER- I expect furniture to be sanitized, free of debris, stains on cloth furniture and cushion covers, rugs cleaned of stains, shower curtain washed and no food behind stove, dryer vent cleaned and wall stains from insects removed. We were teacher’s on spring break. This home gave us plenty of space. The view and the large lanai were fabulous and peaceful. We enjoyed starting and ending each day on the Lanai. It was just a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy!
