Everything you need friendly neighbors and quiet. Ideal place for a couple that wants to explore the island and yet have a pool and a nice option of activities right around your condo. Very clean kitchen was Ambly stocked with all of the tools needed. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

This property was well stocked and clean. The condition was a problem. Patio chairs had broken slates, make sitting in them an issue. The floor was new laminate but poorly installed. It was not completely glued down make some of the edges sharp. A metal strip between the tile and laminate was not secure. View was great and property management was great.

This was a lovely relaxing place to stay and close to town. It was very clean and updated much more than the very expensive outdated hotel down the road. If I return to Hawaii again I will definitely be checking the availability of this rental.

This rental has a wonderful ocean location. The condo complex is lovely with a nice pool/hot tub-grills and deck chairs. Sunset views are perfect. The condo is well stocked with kitchen and recreation items that are a real bonus. Balcony overlooks pool with ocean view. Community is quiet and friendly.

People were very friendly and helpful. The hosts were fabulous with all my requests. I would recommend this condo to anyone. Quiet and sirreen. Property is very well maintained. You have a great view off the lanni of the ocean. Deffinately worth the trip.

One of our best stays! The apartment was very cosy, we liked oceanic theme in the decorations. We also loved the kitchen, it was a pleasure to cook there. We also loved to watch the sunset from the balcony, great view. The bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay; the balcony (lanai) is just heavenly, with a view on the pool/garden as well as the sea. The apartment is just as described, very clean and neat. One of the major perks of this place is the number of goodies that come with it; they have everything you can borrow to make your day just perfect, including beach umbrella, cooler for food and drinks(!), snorkeling gear, beach chairs, bodyboards etc. The apartment has laundry (and dryer), dishwasher, and AC to make life there super comfortable and easy. When staying at this apartment, you'll wake up with the sounds of the sea and birds, enjoy a nice breakfast on the balcony, and then choose to either hang around in this beautiful complex, or go on an adventure into town (3min drive) or one of the nearby beaches--so many good spots within 30min drive of this location for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, picnicking, etc., on popular busy beaches or quiet ones, whatever you prefer, it's closeby. Highly recommend this place, would definitely go back!

We just left this Kona Maki condo. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer. The balcony view is beautiful and we enjoyed coffee and watched sunsets as often as we could.

Kona makai is absolutely the best.I have been coming here since 1979. Learned to swim in that pool. Brought my kids here.Absolutely great place . Don't mind the pool rules so much kids need to play. It's definitely worth the stay .. I won't stay anywhere else. Each unit is great .Also bring snorkel gear you can go right out front every morning. One thing I do miss, is when they used to hang bananas in the cabana area. Was so much fun.We will be back soon.

My family of four with elementary age kids had a comfortable stay. Unit had more useful stuff than other condos we stayed at - we found 3 coolers, a few beach bags, 4-5 sets of snorkel gear in the closet alone and few body boards under the bed. We didn't cook, but it appeared to have everything needed for cooking. Ocean views and sounds from the lanai were great. Location was close to downtown but not in the middle of things, which was a plus. Only downside is that some of the furniture and furnishings are older, worn-out - like the the couch which has some cushions with ripped fabric. Overall, great place to stay in Kona.

We loved our stay at Kona Makai room 6-203. The view was amazing and the room was very nice and comfortable. We were very impressed with all the amenities they had here. I have never stayed in a place that was so well equipped with anything you would need. Way to go with that. It was so nice to have all the beach chairs, towels umbrellas and even coolers or bags to put your things in. We definitely recommend for anyone to stay here. The grounds are very beautiful and well kept. We would for sure stay here again. Thank you,
