We spent ten days in this condo with our teenage daughters, and our experience was absolutely fantastic! The location is excellent, and we especially appreciated the easy parking. The condo is spotless and incredibly well-equipped—we didn’t miss a thing. Everything is thoughtfully arranged for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.We highly recommend this condo—100%! Wonderful condo in a calm part of Waikīkī. Amazing view of Diamond Head from the balcony. Unit was clean with helpful amenities like rice cooker! The parking was very convenient once we figured out how to access it.

This was our fourth stay with Captain Cook. I highly recommend them. They were great and accommodating. Our only problem this time was the building we stayed in had water issues so needless to say we had two weeks with no hot water.. we got warm water, which made showers very inconvenient. The property manager did try to help us out and gave us another room to shower in for two days while it was available. We did not use it as it was more inconvenient. Would like to be compensated in someway if available, but I do thank them for everything.

We had an in incredible time staying in this property for a week. My 3 year and 8 month old loved the property too. WiFi is high speed, Disney is on TV and the kids beds were big help. Personally me and my husband loved the spot on location. It’s close to almost everything. And the bed was perfect and the water pressure in the shower was perfect. Both Jena and Courtney were super responsive and we got our checkout extended so proactively. I am coming back here to stay whenever we visit Honolulu next!

Lovely place to come home to after a tiring day out exploring or at the beach, recharge, and get back out to enjoy the rest of the night. View was very nice and peaceful to wake up to in the morning.

My daughter and I spent New Years week at this rental. It was perfect for us. We arrived a bit early and the room was still being cleaned. We decided to drop our bags at the front desk and get some supplies. Because you are not a hotel guest…they charge 5 a bag to do this. Chris and Sara authorized an early check in as soon as the room was ready which was great.The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and glasses and everything we needed really. Some basic food items had been left behind from various renters…some of these came in handy. The beds were comfy. There are lots of extra pillows and blankets. We did not use the pull out in the living room. Everything worked well in the bathroom…but we couldn’t locate an electrical outlet in there…which was a bit problematic. Adding a full length mirror to the unit would be a plus!The beach chairs and toys are well used. We donated a boogie board to the cause. It was super handy to have these available.The sliding glass door out to the patio is quite hard to move…but once out there…what a wonderful view!! We were able to watch the fireworks from the unit, which was great!The garbage area was right down the hall…as well as the coin laundry. This was very handy and easy.We used the pool a few times…it was quite busy and only gets the morning sun. It can get quite chilly once in the shade.Shops and restaurants were all in walking distance. Plenty of options for beach swimming.

Well situated only a 10 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and stores. The unit is a little older but well kept. It is a little confusing because some of the units are personally owned and some are managed as a hotel. It was nice to have coffee as well as other little touches available. We had a minor issue with hot water which was the property's issue and when I contacted the owner, he was extremely responsive. The view from the balcony is amazing with Diamond Head on one side and the beach on the other. Would I stay here again? Absolutely.

The only challenges I would note are the building is quite dated, elevator wait is long, beds on the small side and AC unit very loud. Overall, we had a very good stay. We stayed with our 2 boys (9 &11) for a week in the suite and had an amazing time. The unit is spacious and clean. The kitchen is well equipped, we cooked a few dinners and made breakfast there each day. The kids slept comfortably in the bunks. We shared the bed in the same room, was cozy but manageable. The bathroom was clean and towels are provided, there were beach towels as well. A small patio had 2 chairs and small drink table. We were pleased to find a beach umbrella and beach chairs on the patio. There was a small cooler and a couple of boogie boards as well. The 6th floor has a great pool for the kids 1' to 5' deep, loungers surrond the pool area. There is also a large green space where the boys played soccer. There is also BBQ's and picnic tables here for fist come first serve use. There are ABC stores on every corner that have all sorts of foods and drinks and every souvenier you can think of. The beach is a 3-4 min walk away and is amazing for sunsets. There are numerous restaurants withing a short walking distance. We rented a car and used the free onsite parking, it was a great bonus. Comminucation was great with Chris. He was prompt and flexible on our check out time, which was a huge relief with an 11:45pm flight out. Thank you Chris.

The apartment is exactly like it is on the website. The building is over 30 floor, co-mingled with hotel rooms. Easy walking (about 10 minutes) to Waikiki's busy commercial area, full of restaurants, shopping malls, hotels, and even to the beach (further walking). The 1-bed room apartment was clean, space is good for two to three persons. A/C was working fine. Two cooking pots were stainless steel, which is great. The rest was non-stick. The stove is induction, easy to use. The towels supplied were two sets, probably enough for two persons. Requesting extra bed sheets and towels would be charged according to the rules displayed on the counter. The balcony door. facing west, is not openable, though.

This condo is exactly as pictured and more! Courtney, the host, was super responsive and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. While the building is a bit outdated, the unit is remodeled very tastefully and was very clean. Our kids loved the bunk beds! We arrived to a cute welcome basket with local goodies which I thought was a special touch. There were beach chairs, umbrellas, a mat, and boogie boards for us to use during our stay. There were even a couple life vests for toddlers and a small bucket of sand toys. There is a washer and dryer at the end of the floor. You pay via an app and it notifies you how much time is left/when the load is done! Courtney provided a couple detergent pods for guest use which was so nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be recommending this property to our friends! 10/10!

We like the Waikiki Sunset because it is in a convenient location close to beach, zoo, and Kapahulu Avenue. Parking was a great plus. However, the parking attendant lady was grouchy and doesn't listen to any explanation. A tip to visitors is to use Kapahulu Ave. for entry and exit due to traffic bottleneck on Kalakaua Ave. and Alawai Canal.

This was the second time we stayed at Courtney’s condo…we loved it so much last year that we booked it again for an even longer stay. It is so well stocked, bright and clean…and conveniently located to the beach, restaurants and shops a short walk from the condo. There are also hop on -hop off trolley stops nearby if you want to catch a trolley instead. Courtney is a fantastic host, attentive and responds quickly if you need anything. We had an absolutely excellent vacation and definitely plan to book one of Courtney’s condos again.

Great location to many amenities- Waikiki beach within easy walking distance; lots of restaurants/shops close by; easy walk to International Mall; city bus stop a block away. Very much appreciated the beach chairs.Condo itself comfortable. Smaller than expected. Tight quarters in bedrooms with little space to store luggage out of the way. It needs “a little love” However we would stay here again.

Apartment was perfect for us. Very accurate listing and well managed. The building is a bit old and elevators are slow but it wasn’t an issue for us. Just allow extra time during “rush hour” or use the stairs. (8:30-10 when guests are all trying to get to their activities)Would definitely stay at this apartment and in the Sunset Waikīkī building again.

Absolutely nothing negative to say about the company or room. Pool was shaded in the afternoon and a bit cool but that's not their fault at all just something to note if thats important to you.
