The room was clean when we came although the window coverings weren’t functional in the living room. The toilet also makes a funny noise when flushing. For the price it’s not a bad option as the location is great.

Our stay at Courtney's place was amazing! It had to be the cleanest place I've ever stayed when traveling. Looked exactly like the pictures and just the right amount of space for our family of 4. Overall Stay
The apartment is on the 36th floor with a beautiful mountain view. While it’s located inside a hotel building, it is privately owned, so it does not include typical hotel services such as daily housekeeping. The unit is older and has some dated furniture and appliances. For example, the toaster oven works only partially, and there are a few other minor wear-and-tear issues.
Cleanliness
Cleanliness is reasonable for a private rental — not up to hotel standards, but acceptable for a comfortable stay.
Amenities
The apartment has a kitchen with all the essentials for cooking at home, except for a full-size oven. The Wi-Fi is excellent — around 300 Mbps — which is great if you need to work during your stay. Complimentary parking is included for guests of this specific unit, and that’s a major advantage since parking in the building normally costs around $90 per night. The parking garage is in the same building, with direct elevator access.
Location
It’s about a 10-minute walk to the beach (Waikiki), with cafés, small shops, and a Target store within walking distance.
Communication
From my personal perspective, I would have preferred slightly faster communication. All interaction was handled via email through Expedia, which felt a bit outdated and inconvenient compared to modern in-app messaging. Response times were generally within a few hours, but occasionally I had to wait longer. I understand that hosts have their own schedules, but in time-sensitive situations

The room was comfortable and located in a great area, close to the Waikiki strip. The parking was very convenient and a huge bonus with unlimited access. The room itself was as advertised. The kitchen utensils and pots needed to be washed before we were comfortable using them. The water pressure from 8-10pm is quite limited (not the host's fault) but takes some getting used to. The communication was great! The view was spectacular!

Check in was very easy and kitchen was great and easy to use. Very spacious compared to where other family members stayed and bathroom was also spacious. The only thing i would say that was a bit of a headache was the elevators. There's 4 but if you try to leave when everyone else is try to leave then you run into having to wait. Our first day we waited 20 minutes for an elevator that we just decided to take the stairs. Luckily we were on the 9th floor. After that first day we just timed it still a 5 star stay though

We visit Hawaii yearly and exclusively stay at rentals. This unit was one of the best we've ever stayed at! Perfect and functional for our family. Our two young kids loved the bunk beds and swimming at the pool daily. Did not expect the gorgeous views from the floor to ceiling windows!

Everything worked really good with check in, he was also VERY ACCOMMODATING with an extra night when we had a scheduling conflict. The next guests were not due in until after we left with the extension! It is small, but adequate, clean, and comfortable! The convenience was great and the rooftop sunroof was fantastic. We had a wonderful time at Tom’s place. I agree with others’ reviews — very clean, wonderful location, great amenities, quick communication by the owner, easy check in/check out process. We’d definitely stay again! A few very minor things to be aware of/may need improvement:— There is no lock to the sliding door to the lanai. This wasn’t too huge of an issue for us, but we (parents) had to be super vigilant to make sure our younger kids didn’t get out there. — The twin bed is on wheels so moves around very easily (like if you just plop down on it, it moves), so we constantly had to push it back into place. — The rug may be due for a deep cleaning. Our kids bounce around a lot. We moved the coffee table to the side to protect it and our kids spent a lot of time on the ground and I noticed the rug had a slight odor. — When we checked in,

This was the second leg of our Hawaii tour and we couldn't have asked for a better location. Two blocks from the beach and main drag, safe neighborhood, convenient parking, and a nice condo. Space worked well for a family of four (2 teens) so no complaints. Loved that the unit came with beach chairs and umbrella which made it easy to walk down the street and be on the beach in a few minutes. Parking was convenient and is currently included with the VRBO but I relive starting 2026 it will be an extra charge. Once item of not is the height of the garage as spelled out at 6'. We changed out our rental from a Jeep Wrangler to a Mazda SUV just to make sure no clearance issues. probably would have been ok with the Jeep since there were a couple of them in the garage, but also noticed quite a few scrapes in the ceiling of the parking garage from some unlucky driver. Had one issue with the internet where it was out for a few days which meant no TV (small kids may have an issue) but with cell phones and being out and about was not a major inconvenience for us. overall great location int he city.

Our stay in Waikiki was perfect! The location was great, very close to a lot of restaurants, food trucks, and bars. It’s a very easy walk to anywhere in Waikiki. The Condo is very nicely appointed and the beds are very comfortable. We loved coming home to the Condo! It has everything you may need to cook meals and the recent remodel is very well done! There is a nice pool area with enough BBQ’s and seating for the building. Can’t say enough about the Condo and Courtney was a pleasure to communicate with! We will be returning! Thank you

AC was pathetic and generally did not work. Shower head needed to be replaced, zero water pressure. Need grab bar in tub/shower. Seating at table was horrible, needs to be regular size, not have to climb into seat. Very old, vintage room. no view, beach chairs are for kids only. parking below was good, very expensive. Close to the beach and ABC store for prepared food. No oven or toaster oven in apt.

The property manager Byron was great and responded promptly to all our issues. The place was a decent size with a nice balcony view but could use additional cleaning. We found live cockroach in the silverware drawer crawling over the utensils and one in the bathtub. The property manager at least came the next day to set cockroach traps around the unit and we didn’t see any after setting the traps. The front door lock also started malfunctioning after our second day but they did respond promptly and replace it with a new lock. Would have appreciated better cleaning such as less dirty floors in the kitchen and we noticed dirt and food on the dishes in the cabinets which may be guests putting back dirty dishes instead of cleaning them since there was no dishwasher. The unit was stocked with all necessary kitchen utensils and cookware but did not have any spices or even salt not cooking oil. When I booked the unit the charge on my card was ~$100 higher than what was in my confirmation. I found they added an additional property insurance cancellation fee I did not agree to but at least they removed this when I said I denied this coverage.

Back in Hawaii after 30 years and brought our 27 year old son to see the place we love. The view was incredible and it was so helpful to have the kitchen and laundry right there. Tom was excellent at communicating with the building staff about problems with the air conditioning and they fixed it same day. I highly recommend staying here!

I can’t impress enough how great our stay was. Perfect for a young family of 4 people, Courtney’s unit was just what we were looking for. It was as beautiful as advertised and very accurate which I always appreciate. Courtney has thought of all the little things to make your trip fun and easy while in Honolulu. There were ice packs, a cooler, Tupperware, beach toys, umbrella, chairs, the list keeps going. It made beach days a breeze!The unit itself was very modern, everything worked great, and the location was perfect! Just a quick walk to the beach and having parking available was huge. The communication with Courtney was easy and very responsive, which made it very simple if there was a question.Will 100% stay here the next time we travel back, it had everything we wanted for our trip.

There were a few things needing fixing, but not impactful of our stay. I alerted the owner and he had not been aware and said he'd take care of them. Pro: - good location, just enough away from the big crowds but close enough to shops, restaurants, activities, beach and transportation, all within waking distance- beds satisfactory comfortness- relatively clean- included parking: Rec a smaller car/suv: parking is prob the tightest i've experienced- kitchen ok, tho really 1 usable decent non-stick pan (other pots were ok). Had to buy oil to cook with. Salt & pepper provided only, hidden behind the utensils drawer. Enough plates, bowls, cups, silverware, cutting board and large knives -- good enough to cut a pineapple. Spoons were mostly serving sized spoons, tho - way larger than a standard tablespoon, almost too large to eat with. Odd.- view of Diamond Head!- decently quiet though can still hear crowing chickens 13 floors below & large vehicles but really not that bad. Neighbor quietness depends on who happens to be there. Consider ear plugs- A/C & WiFi great- 4 beach towels included. Linens and bath towels are enough- store @5th floor rents beach equipment (umbrella, boogie boards, snorkels,etc)- wash/dryer next door great: use app to pay- manager is responsive & helpful!Con:- interior a bit tired. Needs new furniture esp the chair next to patio: seat is brown. Sofa not quite as bad. Peeling bathroom cabinets- you'll need to buy more TP- faulty shower faucet repaired- fridge leaks water slowly- bedrooms snug, but remember this is hawaii. Livable.- pricepoint just ok, but hawaii is just expensive.
