Overall a great stay! Affordable and a wonderful location. Only downfall was how hot the unit got without AC. We were expecting the windows open and ocean winds at night would cool it down a bit but even with all the fans, it still was around 80 at night (same as during the day) in the condo. Not the hosts fault because they did advertise accurately just something to know if you are used to AC! Wonderful little beach for kids and if you need an affordable place to stay and are used to warmer weather, this is a great spot.

Look no further. Book it now. Views were better than pictured in the listing. Very well appointed furnishings and stocked kitchen. Beach chairs, snorkel, cooler, and umbrella were awesome. Super quiet at all times of the day and night. Extremely well kept condo complex. Safe and convenient to everything. Everything was included for a plug and play vacation.

Pamela, the host, always responded immediately to messages. The unit is PERFECT for couples and the view can’t be beat. We loved eating breakfast out on the lanai. Eating dinner was also nice, depending on what time it was. The sunset can be overwhelming. The location was also great for our planned activities. I would definitely stay here again.

The condo layout was exactly as described and worked perfectly for our group of five, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked, and there were ample towels and essentials provided for our stay.We especially appreciated the personal greeting upon arrival—it was a thoughtful touch that helped answer all of our questions right away. Not much beach in front of the seawall due to tide, in a few months the beach to the left as you face the ocean should be cleaned up if the crew continues the work on it. We had a great stay at the condo. Jim was quick to respond to our questions about the March storms that hit and reassured us that everything would be ready for our visit. Once inside there was everything we could possibly need - beach toys, chairs, plenty of towels, and more! We stayed for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to Maui! Location of this place is fantastic.. steps away from the beach (which we walked every morning), plus you are a few minutes drive away from the busier areas of Kihei. It's super quiet within the unit.. we couldn't hear anyone above or below us, which was really nice. A/C in both bedrooms living room was superb. Other conveniences such as key code locking, beach supplies (umbrellas, chairs, etc), laundry, and a well stocked kitchen really adds to the value of the unit. We would not hesitate to book again. Menehune Shores is a very enjoyable place to stay. We took full advantage of the pool and there is a bar/restaurant located right downstairs. Just a couple of minor improvements that could be made would be to update the bed linens and curtains in the unit. Also, there is no lock on the patio door, but this isn't a big deal as you are on the third floor. Honestly, don't hesitate to book this place, you won't be disappointed!

We had five in our group and had an excellent stay. There was plenty of room for all of us and everything that we could possibly need was supplied. Location was perfect for us to get out and explore. The views were amazing and though we didn’t use it much the roof was a great place to sit and socialize. We ate at the Monsoon Grill which was very convenient and tasty. Would definitely stay here again if ever in Maui.

Property was just as expected. I was traveling with my elderly mom who uses a walker. It was necessary for me to have an elevator or bottom floor.( It is at least 50 yards from elevator)Beautiful beach view from lanai. Beach chairs and umbrellas were provided. Refrigerator had ice maker and filtered water had I known that I would not have bought a case of water. This place had everything we needed! Highly recommend- already did to my friend! The property itself is a good location and the grounds are maintained (with exception of bugs), but unfortunately our stay in Unit 106 was DISAPPOINTING and the unit is in serious need of a DEEP CLEAN and MAJOR UPDATES. When we arrived, the front door would not open and we were told it had swollen from the rain. Once inside, the floors were EXTREMELY DIRTY and the kitchen counters and cabinets were worn, chipped and outdated. The kitchen supplies were especially concerning, the dishes, pots, and pans were OLD and UNSANITARY, and we did not feel comfortable using them to cook. We were also only given less than a quarter roll of paper towels for our stay. Bugs on counters were also disgusting. The couch had a cover on it and did not resemble the photos in the listing. The master bathroom tub was chipped, rusted, and had an old plastic device sitting in it to hold bath water, which did not feel hygienic for bathing our granddaughter.Both bedroom closets were completely full. The master closet held lamps, a suitcase, and other unknown items, while the second closet was packed with OLD beach chairs and umbrellas. While appreciated, they took up all the storage space.The master bedroom window was BROKEN and taped, the curtains were makeshift and couldn’t be opened fully, and the windows and PLASTIC blinds were very dirty. I did take a look around and other units windows were clean. This unit has potential, but it did not meet expectations for comfort or cleanliness.

This condo was better than imagined. The space is beautifully decorated, very clean, and comfortable. The beds and pillows are like sleeping on clouds. We used the beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella every day! There was a large variety of beach/pool items. We loved watching the sunset off the lanai every night and walking the tide pool in the mornings. The property grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly. The pool is clean and refreshing. Even the restaurant in the building is amazing! This was the perfect home base for our Honeymoon while traveling around the island. We will definitely be back!

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT property!!! This rental was SUPER clean, and conveniently located so that travel to tourist areas were achieved with little travel time! Beds were comfy and there were plenty of towels and beach towels for the week. We loved having the washer/dryer available to clean wet swim suits and was towels. Parking was very easy although we never got the chance to register the car with the office as they were only open 9-2! We left each day around 8-8:30 and returned around 3-4 so missed getting this accomplished. It would be nice if there was some way to register the vehicle through a night drop box! The hosts had excellent communication and addressed any and all issues that were mentioned! The rental was so near the beach that we walked on it each evening, even seeing a large beached turtle one evening! The kitchen was well equipped and there were beach chairs and umbrellas for use which really made a day at the beach nice! I would highly recommend this property for rental!!!

We stayed after the storms and there were quite a few insects including cockroaches in the sink. we were unable to use the kitchen which was the point of booking a VRBO so our family could spend time together. The floors were very dusty. the view from the lanai is beautiful, the rooms were comfortable and it is in a nice location.

Great stay at Menehune 505! The condo is very well maintained, clean, and perfect for families. The kitchen is fully stocked, making it easy to cook meals at home. We loved having beach gear (chairs, umbrella, cooler), plus plenty of kids’ games and sand toys for our daily outings.There’s a beach area directly south of the property (a “fish pond”) that’s ideal for small children. The property also offers two separate grilling areas with picnic tables, which are great for larger group outdoor meals.Each bedroom has its own AC unit, which was a big plus, and the rooftop deck is great for sunsets. The pool was clean and inviting. (note: there is no hot tub). Jim was an excellent host—very communicative and helpful, especially during the recent Maui flooding.Highly recommend!

Menehune Shores in North Kihei is the perfect location for a Maui vacation. The Ancient Hawaiian Fishpond and adjacent beaches are great places to relax and explore with family. We loved daily walks collecting shells and seeing sea turtles. This ground floor condo is set up nicely with two bedrooms in addition to the living area and lanai all being oceanfront. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai eating breakfast, relaxing, and viewing the sunset. The weather was perfect for opening the windows and doors allowing the breeze and sounds of ocean waves to flow through the space. Our host honestly responded to our concerns about the recent Kona Low and how it impacted the island and condo. We kept a close eye on up-to-date progress and were impressed by the quick clean up process by the local municipalities. We did not reschedule, and were very pleased to be able to do everything on our itinerary, including snorkeling, surfing, and exploring the road to Hana.

This rental exceeded ALL expectations! First of all, the views are exceptional, absolutely beautiful, breathtaking of the West Maui Mountains AND from the other side of the unit a spectacular view of Haleakala. Every morning I went on a long walk on the beach which is just steps away from the unit. On each morning walk I was blessed to discover multiple green sea turtles resting on the beach and even got to witness a few of them returning to the waterjust magical! There is also a roof top common area with grills and picnic tables with more mind-blowing views of the island of Maui. The sunsets are fabulous from the lanai of the unit and from the 7th floor roof top. It is in a great location as it is close to grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this unit in Menehune Shores. We will definitely return and we will let all of our friends and family know about this fantastic place to stay.

The condo is pristine - freshly renovated with top of the line finishes and appliances. A great location in Kihei with direct access to the beach, and central to other activities. Fully stocked with everything you need for the kitchen, coffee, and enjoying the beach (chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards). Bed and bath accomodations are top notch. Comfortable, big beds and high quality linens. The hosts also take it to the next level! Responsive, communicative, and offered great recommendations for all of our interests. If I could give a 10 star review, I would. We loved every minute of our stay - highly recommend!
