This place was amazing. Such a spectacular view and easy access to several beaches without having to cross a road. We had no issues with the condo and the host was responsive to the few questions we had. Everything went smooth and we totally enjoyed our stay.The location was perfect. It was just south of the main Kihei commercial area but close enough to walk or drive. It was very easy to get to other areas of the island as well. Snorkeling was great just outside the condo with two access points to snorkel the entire reef. We saw turtles on every outing. We saw a turtle sunning on the small beach/cove just next to the public boat ramp just north of the condo. We saw eels as well.Plan your days to snorkel first as the water is calmer in the morning.

Unobstructed beautiful ocean view. Well appointed kitchen. Very comfortable for two. Excellent location for beach access, walks to town, laundry facilities, beach chairs available at the check in desk and convenience store nearby. Only real drawback was lack of a/c but with the trade winds and open windows it was just fine for us. We will more than likely stay here again.

Electronic lock did not work, 2 mornings there was a cockroach on the counter, screen door to balcony comes off track every time, couch cushions need to be cleaned. If you look up at the fan in the bathroom, you can view inside it and it’s filthy. I’d rate the condo 7.5

We enjoyed our time at Frankie, Jonas and Leonie home. They have done a great job in creating a welcoming space, and it showed. The views were unforgettable and beautiful. The common space was cozy and entertaining. Overall it was a 5-star experience. We hope to be back! Would recommend. Mahalo

The location of this property was amazing. Enjoyed the vibe of the locals and watching the sunset with the residents and other guests. The condo was small, the furniture was dated and uncomfortable. When we got there, someone was working on the air conditioner in the condo, and it was unbearably hot from being closed up and the air conditioner did not work after being repaired. The owner made concessions, and after the property being opened up for a day, it was much better. Loved the property and the location. Super convenient and close to everything. Really enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again. Thank you for sharing your condo with us.

Was very clean, beautiful view and loved having breakfast on the balcony each morning.We were able to get beach chairs from the office for the week and the condo had a cooler that we used all week. Highly recommend snorkeling right at the beach next door, we saw so many fish and turtles.Can’t wait to come back!

We have stayed at Kihei Surfside many times and love this property and location. Listening to the roosters in the morning and watching the boats leave the boat launch makes for an incredible morning. The condo was beautiful and other than one cleaning snafu which was handled promptly by the property managers everything was perfects!

We had a wonderful stay. The condo was just right for me and my husband. It was well furnished and had all the supplies we would for a fun trip, including snorkels and gear. The view was fantastic and we enjoyed our time on the lanai. The bed in the room does need to be replaced. It sagged in spots and my husband found it difficult to get comfortable. Overall, it was lovely and we enjoyed our time there very much.

We couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The condo is right on the water, with the beach just a short walk away. Some of the best snorkeling we did in Maui was right outside the complex. The location made everything easy, close to shops, restaurants, and with a convenience store right across the street. There’s no air conditioning, but there were plenty of fans, and we stayed comfortable. Perfect setup for a week or two in Maui.

Only slight complaint was that Ali'i Resorts kept texting/calling to see if we wanted to book again - while we were on vacation. I just want to relax on vacation. However they were very nice. NO AC. Specifically looked for units with AC because this was our Baby Moon and my wife is 28 weeks pregnant and needed the comfort of AC which this unit had listed. Not broken AC, just didn't exist. First night we didn't know what we were getting into so we rolled with it. They said open all windows and back porch and there is enough breeze to cool the unit. Not cool enough to sleep until 1am. Second night we thought if we left all the living room screens open and bedroom windows open throughout the day it'd be a nice temperature at night. Nope. At this time we contacted the host who offered to move us to a different unit with AC but didn't get back to us until near the end of our third night. They said there was no unit available. During the hottest part of the day on the third day, it was actually quite cool in the unit from the tradewinds, but the vacuum effect in the unit felt like taking a nap in a tornado. For our fourth night stay, there was no response from the host. I understand that for a lot of Hawaii houses and condos the wind is the cooling factor. But that is not the same as AC and it should not be listed as an AC listing. Pros: the view is absolutely stunning and the kitchen is very well stocked.That being said, they definitely could upgrade a few appliances. The kitchen sink could use an upgrade. The wood ceiling fans are aesthetically pleasing, but my 150 Home Depot fans create more of a breeze on low than these do on high.

We had a great stay at the Kihei Surfside. This unit is on the top floor on the mauka end of the building with views of the ocean and mountain. The unit is very spacious and worked well for our party of four adults and infant. The living room is spacious with comfortable seating. The unit was very clean and modern with AC in both bedrooms and the living room. The kitchen was fairly well stocked pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. It would be nice if there were a few added extras like ziploc bags and tupperware and pads for the mop (a mop was provided but we couldn't find any pads). There were beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, beach toys and snorkel gear which we were very grateful for. The master bed and bath is very nice. The second bedroom is a bit dark. The living room and kitchen are very bright with beautiful views. The complex sits on right on the ocean and is just south of the Kihei boat ramp. There is a pool and BBQ for guest use as well as putters and bocce ball sets you can borrow from the front office to use at the adjacent park. There is no sand beach directly in front of the complex, but you can walk just past the Mana Kai condo complex next door onto Keawakapu Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui. At the south end of Keawakapu Beach is the Wailea Beach Path.There are restaurants and shops within walking distance (about 1-1.5 mi. away) or a short drive away (5-10 min.). Overall, an excellent unit. We would return again.

Fantastic condo! Nothing beats the location! I especially liked the mountain view in the morning, the larger space, and the additional bedroom (when compared to other units in the building). Conversely, the road noise on balcony and views of the ocean are slightly worse than other units. It’s a compromise that we knew going in and are happy with the choice. AC was great, beds were very firm and nice.

The sounds of the waves is everything! This unit is semi-updated, great quiet well kept complex, friendly front office, and again, the sound of the waves. Person "on call" was quickly responsive when we checked in on a day the main office is closed. Will definitely stay here again. (Con: complex has no shade at the pool, you can drag the chairs to the palm tree shade on the golf-course quality grass)
