We had a great stay at the Kihei Surfside. This unit is on the top floor on the mauka end of the building with views of the ocean and mountain. The unit is very spacious and worked well for our party of four adults and infant. The living room is spacious with comfortable seating. The unit was very clean and modern with AC in both bedrooms and the living room. The kitchen was fairly well stocked pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. It would be nice if there were a few added extras like ziploc bags and tupperware and pads for the mop (a mop was provided but we couldn't find any pads). There were beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, beach toys and snorkel gear which we were very grateful for. The master bed and bath is very nice. The second bedroom is a bit dark. The living room and kitchen are very bright with beautiful views. The complex sits on right on the ocean and is just south of the Kihei boat ramp. There is a pool and BBQ for guest use as well as putters and bocce ball sets you can borrow from the front office to use at the adjacent park. There is no sand beach directly in front of the complex, but you can walk just past the Mana Kai condo complex next door onto Keawakapu Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui. At the south end of Keawakapu Beach is the Wailea Beach Path.There are restaurants and shops within walking distance (about 1-1.5 mi. away) or a short drive away (5-10 min.). Overall, an excellent unit. We would return again.

Fantastic condo! Nothing beats the location! I especially liked the mountain view in the morning, the larger space, and the additional bedroom (when compared to other units in the building). Conversely, the road noise on balcony and views of the ocean are slightly worse than other units. It’s a compromise that we knew going in and are happy with the choice. AC was great, beds were very firm and nice.

The sounds of the waves is everything! This unit is semi-updated, great quiet well kept complex, friendly front office, and again, the sound of the waves. Person "on call" was quickly responsive when we checked in on a day the main office is closed. Will definitely stay here again. (Con: complex has no shade at the pool, you can drag the chairs to the palm tree shade on the golf-course quality grass)

We thoroughly loved our stay! The condo was sparkling clean, and had everything we needed. The Kihei Surfside office has beach chairs for guest use along with bocce ball sets and putters for the putting green. The complex has BBQs and a pool. The front office staff is very nice and helpful. The condo’s kitchen is very well stocked for cooks. We enjoyed meals on the lanai and the unit provides a perfect view of sunsets over the island of Lanai. Just to the south of the property is Keawakapu Beach. You can walk along rhe beach to the Wailea Beach Path. On the edge of the public park’s lawn area is a dirt trail to the Kihei boat ramp and a small beach cove where sea turtles come to shore. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within 5 -10 minute’s drive or It would be a healthy walk. Larry at Rosie’s Rentals, was very responsive and communication was very detailed and informative. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely stunning views. Gorgeous, very clean condo with everything we needed for our 7 night stay. Very nice updated kitchen and bathrooms, great showers, new appliances in kitchen. Everything we needed. Beaches just minutes away. Ulua beach nearby was my favorite. We enjoyed breakfasts and sunsets on our huge and gorgeous lanai everyday. Pool was great too. Never crowded. Quiet respectful building overall. Keycode (no contact) check in was great, just checkin with front office for your parking pass for your stay. Fell asleep to ocean waves every night. No AC but we loved all the fresh Maui air and strong breeze filling the condo. There are lots of fans throughout the condo keeping it cool. Best vacation we’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back.

Great view, good A/C, very comfortable bed. The complex is very well maintained. The unit itself desperately needs a refresh, there are 10 coats of paint on the walls, no two dishes or glasses are alike, no fitting lids for the pots, generally the wall art and decor look like they came from a garage sale. It wouldn’t take more than 5000 to 10,000 to get the place to the level it could/should be. My honest assessment.

After researching for that perfect oceanfront condo rental, I knew this was meant to be for my family and I to stay at for our much needed vacation! The location for this resort was great! I had such a nice relaxing week in Maui. Great views. Friendly people staying in building as well helping staff on site. The condo was very well stocked with everything I needed and more. Check in/check out was so easy and convenient. Michael was so quick to respond to any communication. The only thing I’d caution people about is not having AC. This is my 5th trip to a Hawaiian island … first time with no AC (I’m a female in my late 30s 125lbs 5’1”) I didn’t sleep well it was too hot and humid for ME. There just wasn’t enough air flow even with the bedroom windows open, slider open and all the fans running. No fault of anyone but had I read a review like mine … I’d have opted for AC. I would however stay in his condo again in a heartbeat if there was AC.

This is the perfect home away from home! Perfectly clean, perfectly equipt in a perfect location. The check-in was absolutely easy. I enjoyed watching the sunsets from my balcony every evening, cooking in a wonderful kitchen and going to bed in a very comfortable bed with a high-end mattress. There is no need of an air-con as there is always a breeze at night as soon as you open the window. In addition you can listen to the waves coming in while resting from a perfect day in paradise. The unit was clean and easily accessible. No check in process as this was handled by a management company. The A/C worked fine as well as everything else. TV was a lil hard to figure out but we did. No blender and no ironing board which we had hoped for. They did have an iron though which worked. I’m sure we could have gotten an intoning board from the office. We did use the kitchen and made meals there. It did have everything we would have needed. The unit did have beach towels and ice coolers for our trips. No chairs or umbrella in the unit but the office has nice chairs free of charge and we rented the umbrella next door which is a must during the summer. Overall the grounds were well maintained. It could have been a lil cleaner meaning the leaves etc falling from the trees outside. The manicured green lawn was perfect and sitting on the benches early in the morning or grabbing a lawn chair for the sunset was epic. It’s always a show for the sunset and prime spot for it as others were there too in order to watch it. The beach next door is perfect plus they have a general store for literally any needs you have and reasonably priced. Also snorkeling at that beach was good too as we saw many fish and turtles. Overall good value and nice place. Glad we were able to stay here.

This condo was just right for two people. All condos have their little quirks, but again, the location surpasses all! You really can't go wrong, so enjoy!

Perfect location and beautiful beach. We explored all of Maui and were always happy to get back to our perfect little spot! Having snorkel equipment, beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler helped make our stay wonderful. The breeze coming in through the balcony made not having air conditioning a non issue. The absolutely beautiful view never got old and we loved seeing all the locals and dogs come over at night to watch the sunset!

A great seaside resort. The location is perfect with the beach, pool, and family atmosphere at sunset. Friendly front office that was helpful with parking permit, codes for the building, and beach chairs. A lovely place. Host was great with communication. We want to put out there this unit has no a/c. Most of the units in the building have a/c but not this one. The only time of day this is hard is mid afternoon to sunset. The room gets really hot and found we had to be out of the room during that time. By night time the room cools off nicely with those lovely trade winds. If there was a/c this is absolutely a 5 star.

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding trip with our small group of family, who stayed in neighboring condos. We will be back. This spot is unmatched. It blew our expectations away. Everything in the condo was perfect, AC worked well, room was cozy and bed was comfy. The VIEW. I’ll be dreaming about coming back to this place. Couldn’t recommend this stay enough. The beach is so close and one of the best beaches I’ve ever been to. Snorkeling was insane- no need to go out far, it’s awesome right off the shore. Oh my goodness, we had the best vacation. The weather was fabulous. The room was on spot. I don’t think we could’ve asked for a better view. Anything we needed to cook or use at the beach was included would completely rent from Larry again. I loved the fact there is two bathrooms-the Surfside is where it’s at location wise. Just outside the door, you can take a left and walk down the most gorgeous strip of beach ever.!
