Stayed here for 2-weeks with my wife and two kids. The location is terrific and right on the beach. Views are gorgeous. Think the living room furniture needs updating and the condo staff seem to welcome people more that book directly with them versus someone booking through a 3rd party which isn’t the owners fault at all. Didn’t like the change the pool and restroom code everyday as it would be nice if they texted you the new code versus having to wait until 9 am to get the new code. The beach does allow public access so can get busy. Tracy at the conceirge is amazing.

We loved staying right in the beach and enjoyed the view from the balcony. We spotted whales and dolphins in the distance most days, and saw turtles when we snorkelled in front of the building. The condo is lovely and we appreciated the twin beds and bathroom in the second room for our kids.

My husband, two children and I were fortunate enough to stay in this condo around the holidays. From the moment we walked in the door, we were speechless with the cleanliness, the luxurious updates throughout the entire condo, and of course - that view!! Listening to the waves crash made for an amazing nights rest (the beds are also very comfortable). The beach is right out the door, and it’s probably the nicest beach I’ve been on! Great for snorkeling, swimming, boogie boarding, walking and playing in the sand. Great location with easy access to Shops at Wailea and Kihei. The Mana Kai property is lovely, a nice size…not too big and very secure. John and Sara were great to work with and we loved the welcome basket they provided at the beginning of our stay. Would rent this place again in a heartbeat. Hopefully someday…Thank you, John and Sara for welcoming us. We loved every moment and it’s evident the amount of care you put into your home.

We loved the views and location! It was so awesome waking up every morning and having breakfast on the deck watching the sun come over the mountains and then watching the sun set later on in the evening. The beach was steps from the door and was amazing. Great snorkeling was right there and we saw lots of fish and even a few turtles. The beach gets busy but we never had a problem finding a spot. The pool was nice in the evening to cool off and relax. Although our condo was showing signs of age, the beds were super comfortable and the condo met our needs perfectly. There is no air conditioning in the main living area but only in the second bedroom. We slept with the doors open at night and fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean and so never found it a problem sleeping at night. When we went out for the day we made sure to close the curtains and keep the fans on. It was warm when we returned but once we opened windows it would cool off. We were just off of the hustle and bustle of Kihei but close enough that we could easily walk to the shops and restaurants. Overall a great stay and many happy memories. We would stay in this complex again!

The lanai has a great view and wicker furniture where we enjoyed watching the sunrise over breakfast, and sunset over dinner. We had a great holiday trip. My family are big snorkelers and something about walking out the front door right to a great snorkeling spot is our thing. I loved it being on the ocean side of the highway. Also, the place itself was super nice and we all loved it. Overall 10/10.

Came for conference. Beautiful unit overlooking beach. Gorgeous view from the lanai and bed. Wonderful welcome package. Loved my stay here; would have stayed longer if unit were available. So many fantastic things to do nearby - central location makes everything about Maui accessible.
Activities hostess was amazingly helpful too (and I’ve been to Maui many times).
The only issues I had (not too big a deal):
1) upstairs neighbors were rudely noisy until 1am the first night - dragging furniture around, loud out on the lanai. I told downstairs office the next day and every night afterwards, upstairs went quiet at exactly 10pm. But otherwise still obnoxiously loud.
2) a few things just weren’t clean. Refrigerator had food drippings on sides along top shelf, hairs and mud on the shower walls.
And I wish there were a hot tub, but that’s just not an option here.
Be aware that laundry is not in the unit, but was on the sand floor (pay for it - no detergent or dryer sheets provided that I saw)
Unit had a lot of great things for use. Coolers and chairs. Oils and spices and sugar and everything needed for cooking. Filtered water from the fridge. Ice maker in the freezer.
Bed plenty comfy. I didn’t try the pull out sofa.
There is a sliding wall to close off the bed - if separate bedroom space desires (and still leaves access to bathroom with complete privacy in the bedroom). Not all units have this feature.

Just a note for your balcony - would prefer one larger table, instead of 2. Make sure your housecleaners damp mop the balcony tile, too much dust and dirt out there. All clean and spiffy inside.

Fantastic location, waves are clearly audible in the bedroom, you're right on a beach with great snorkeling! Worth noting: the key code on the door really does unlock at exactly check in time; we were there 3 minutes early and code did not work until 1 minute after.

We highly recommend this condo unit and location to anyone. Two bedroom Condo was very comfortable and on 7th floor with incredible view. South facing so lots of sun. Store and activity desk on site. We had a couple bugs and the cleaning was not 5 star but we got past that quickly.

This beautiful Oceanview condo is in the best location! The unit is pristine, and just as described and viewed in pictures. Great location....this is probably one of the best units in the building....and dare I say, the best condo/hotel location in Kihei. Both rooms have a great view. Nice to have laundry down the hall because if you're staying a week, you're going to want to clean towels and clothes. Since the pool is next to a public space, be aware that you will randomly be interrogated while you're at the pool by condo staff to confirm your room and name. Apparently people sneak in so that's their way to try and keep non-guests out. I had been at this location years ago and was expecting that the restaurant would be open so I was pretty disappointed to find that it shut down. It's in the process of being remodeled and will be up and running in a year or so. We will definitely visit Mana Kai again.

Great multifunctional location, in the middle of everything:
- you can go to the beach few times a day, for different activities
- morning and evening beach walks
- drive one way to Wailea and Makena beaches and shops
- drive another way to Kihei gift shops
- or watch all around from lanai
Own kitchen gives you freedom from the restaurants, to eat what you want.
Overall impression is way better than in Fairmont at the end of the road, few years ago, although it was good too.

This was the perfect unit for our family. Clean and well stocked, we enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing vacation. We appreciated the provided beach amenities (towels, chairs, umbrella, pool noodles etc) and the kids couldn't get enough of the boggie board. The view from the lanai cannot be beat and we enjoyed the views immensely. Rick was very accommodating and communicative when I had questions. We look forward to another visit in the future!

We've stayed at the Mana Kai for over 10 years in different condo units and this was by far the most elegant of all.
Everything about it was top notch. The artwork is outstanding. The kitchen cabinetry made me want to go home and redo ours. The furniture and bedding were top notch. We were greeted on checking in with 2 gorgeous orchids. Even the balcony was decorated. AC worked great. Huge bathtub in the back unit. Highly recommend!

You cannot beat the view of the ocean and beach off the lanai and you also have an amazing view walking the corridor to your room. I loved how the second room felt secluded to give my teenagers privacy. Also, the ability to make two twin beds in their room was wonderful! Condo had everything we needed. The snorkeling on the beach below was great! We saw several sea turtles, tropical fish, and eels. We traveled to other beaches to snorkel as well, but found the reef at our condo provided plenty to see!

I can look past the need for an update, but my husband had to unclog the bathroom sink while I mopped the filthy floor. There were NO cleaning sprays or even soap at the kitchen sink. A deep cleaning is very overdue. This is one of the few units never updated with A/C in the "main" area. This was never a problem in past years(we've stayed at Mana Kai since the 90's), but it was uncomfortably warm (even for us as Floridians) late in the day. PROS: The bed was clean and comfortable, adequate kitchenware, and proximity to the beautiful beach & sounds of the ocean. We still enjoyed our stay, but will rent a different unit next time.

We have stayed at the Mauna Kai numerous times and this was a 1st for this unit. Location is great!! Comfortably furnished and a very comfy bed. One thing the kitchen could use is a Brita water filter. The tap water has a slight off taste to it and a filter would have made it pleasant. Our grandchildren and family were in another unit and they had a brita filter and said their drinking water was good!
Overall it was a lovely stay and the sunsets and beaches are a A+! Looking forward to out next stay.

In future, you might remove the unusabe lamps, boxes of paint, extra deck chairs, vacumn cleaner box etc. I have rearranged the closets, so as to more space for our personal things. Perhaps clean out necessary items from underneath the kitchen sink. Otherwise the unit was pretty clean, but it would be nice to have a spray bottle of cleaner like vinigar and water, to clean the deck furniture, tables, toilet, sinks etc. 3.5 weeks is a long time without these items. The Mana Kai is one of the only places in the Kehei area that is right on the beach, with a nice pool and lawn next to the beach. This location is especially good for families with young children. This unit is very nice, well equipped, and communication with the owner was excellent. Highly recommend.

After a shacky start (unit was not ready when we arrived with beds not made), it was a very good stay. by the time we got back from dinner, the condo was ready. Only issue we had after that was with the toilets - easily plugged and toitet plunger was an antique and had a split in the side so it would barely work. I bought a cheap plunger and it wored just fine. Left it in unit A.

The location was perfect, great views. Unit needs some remodel, the walls are nicked, headboard nicked. Kitchen more than adequate. No extra towels, curtains in disrepair. But the view couldn’t be beat!

Our stay was beautiful. The room is exactly like it shows with a beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony. Jeremiah was amazing and so helpful when I called to ask a few questions about the property before our trip. We were able to snorkel right outside our room and seen some amazing sea life in the reef. A few turtles decided to swim by also. Would definitely recommend.

We had booked a condo in west Maui in early January, 2023 for a trip we (2 couples) planned for the end of Sept-early October. After the tragic fire in Lahaina we felt we couldn't play tourist and wanted to respect those living in that area by staying away. We were very fortunate to find a condo that fit our requirements in south Kihei/Wailea for the dates we needed. It did not disappoint! The condo is exactly as pictured. Clean, updated, perfect! The views from the lanai are simply stunning. The location couldn't be any better and it sits right on Keawakapu, the best beach on Maui. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Mahalo!

We had an amazing time, we liked our condo, beautiful view and the rooms and beds worked out great for our family of 5. The grounds and Pool is clean and lovely. The beach is amazing and the snorkeling right on our own reef is amazing. We 100% would love to stay here again. We really liked the staff here too, and the gym in the basement is big with great work out equipment. We loved how past guests leave stuff like sand toys etc, we donated kids life jackets and goggles. Only suggestion i would say is add a couple of rugs maybe by the front door and slider door and a rug on the sides of the bed, due to the sand it does stick to the feet no matter how hard you try. 😀 love this place!

Mana Kai is a beautiful property on an awesome beach for kids, swimming, snorkeling, and has a beautiful pool.
Pros of the condo:
-main beds were comfortable
-kitchen was well equipped
Cons:
-carpet was filthy and we had to wear shoes inside
-the sofa bed was unusable with springs coming out of the sides and no padding. This was a big issue as there were 6 people in our group with 2 functional beds.
-there were 4 beach towels for 6 people for 8 days
-there were 6 nath

I would 100% stay here again. I think It must be one of the best locations in south Maui. It’s close to Kihei shops and restaurants (more economical), close to Wailea upscale shopping and luaus, steps to beach and the best snorkeling we did all week (also went to Makena landing, po’olenana, Molokini crater, and near Makena State park. The apartment worked well for our family—one adult in separate king room (no view and cannot open curtains unless you want everyone walking down the hall to see you, so be aware of that), one couple in main king room with baby, and one older kid on pullout couch. Kitchen facilities were great, big fridge, communal laundry right outside the door as are elevators. View from lanai breathtaking.

This was our first trip to Maui. This was one of the best Condo, we have stayed in. My kids absolutely loved it, it felt like home. It had everything you could ask for. The view is just breathtaking and to hear the sound of the waves every morning was just magical. The property manager was very quick with communication. I had requested the owner for extra 2 hours to check out on our last day. The owner ( John) called me within 5 minutes and let us stay extra few hours. We will for sure be staying in the same condo in the future. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home Sara an John.

Really enjoyed our stay. Check-in and out was easy and seemless. Very clean place with great views and close enough to the beach that you can really enjoy the sound of the surf. Pool was never overcrowded which is nice, general store on property is super convenient (not that other options aren't close by as it's a great location overall). Plenty of amenities in the unit. Thanks for a great stay!

Loved everything about this unit. Have stayed in several other units at Mana Kai over the years, but have definitely found one we look forward to returning to! The remodel is beautiful, wonderfully equipped, and the location is perfect!

This property is a gem, and I don't think you can beat the view - Molokini and another cinder cone to the south are rad. You can't beat this location. Being able to walk out onto the beach and having a huge lawn was clutch. Saw a rainbow wrasse snorkeling too. Mahalo!

This was an awesome condo! It was even better than described. Every little detail was provided - from body wash and cotton rounds to beach chairs. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and had every small appliance you could need. It even had some spices, olive oil, etc. The location and view were perfect as well. If we ever have the opportunity to visit Maui again, we will stay here!

Waking up and going to sleep to the sound of the ocean cannot be beat. The views from our room were postcard perfect! Just steps (literally) to the pool, lawn & beach-so convenient. The condo was very clean, well stocked and really nice. The Master Bed was very comfy - a high priority for us. Husband used the desk in the 2nd bedroom for work-handy. Everything worked well - appliances, cookware, lighting, A/C. We couldn't figure out how to get the TVs to work but not really needed when in Maui! They even provided some chips and mac nuts upon arrival. Body wash, shampoo & conditioner was also provided. We would definitely stay here again! All units face the ocean. We were on 4th floor with great views, easy access w/elevators. Designated parking space worked well. Nice lil market on 1st floor. No restaurant/bar at this time. We were never disrupted with noise from construction for upcoming restaurant or the room next door being remodeled. Other guests were very nice too!
