The Condo was very well appointed. The kitchen even had good knives. It is right across the street from the beach, which is great. The only negative is the street noise. It usually quieted down overnight. The location is very convenient near restaurants and shops but not right in the middle of them. We appreciated all the stuff in the beach closet. Keawakapu beach, about a mile south of the Condo was my favorite: sandy level bottom, snorkeling at the north end, little fun waves in the middle, easy parking.

This condo is large, clean, very well appointed and in a truly excellent location. It also has a great lanai/deck and being on the top floor, great views and high ceiling. One block from the popular Kihei beaches and very close to all parts of Maui.I let the owner know that his place is now our "go to condo" for any future Maui vacations.Of particular note (and very much appreciated) was the owner's communications. I'd give him 10 starts for this. He was always prompt, usually answered any question within two hours! All in all, a super delightful experience staying here and I'll be recommending this place to many of my friends.

We were very happy with our stay in the condo! The view is great overlooking the park and ocean and being able to walk to many stores and restaurants was perfect! An added bonus is the Wednesday "Maui Gift and Craft Fair" that is located just across the street from the condo. There are several vendors with quality products. The pool was very nice and clean but not heated. The air conditioning in the condo was excellent! Fully air conditioned units can be difficult to find in Kihei. The communication with the property managers was also excellent. We highly recommend renting this unit.

Great view of ocean, which we were hoping for. Beach was closed much of our stay due to the wild weather. Kona storm caused damage and any cancellations of our planned activists. The view from this property helped. Saw whales in distance. Even with all the closures of beaches, State parks, etc we still had a wonderful time and will be back!

This is a very spacious condo. We were a group of two couples who were there during the Kona storm in March 2026. There was plenty of room for us to hang out in the living room while the storm hit outside. There was even a 1000 piece puzzle there to occupy some of our time. The location in south Kīhei was very good to go out on walks in between rounds of rain with plenty of restaurants near by. It was also great to have a covered parking space to keep the rental protected. The downsides: I agree with prior posts that there is too much stuff in all the cupboards in the kitchen and bar, making no room to store groceries that we purchased in anticipation of power outages. There were so many old things that people will never use. We were fortunate that we didn’t lose power but did lose water for about 12 hours or so. When we were finally able to go to the beach on our last day there, the beach chairs they provided us were junk. They were rusty, smelled musty and the straps to carry them as backpacks were broken on all 4 of them. Also, the cleaning crew could do a better job. It is a vaulted space and the walls above hand reach were filthy, they clearly haven’t been cleaned in a long time with significant dust balls all over the walls. It was kind of gross actually, and I’m not at all a clean freak.

The most outstanding condo and beach experience we have ever had!! Steve and barb are amazing hosts. We couldn’t have asked for a better condo, it had everything we could need and more. The coolers and chairs and umbrellas for the beach! We even had cousins who were staying in another Vrbo with a little kid and we were able to use the puddle jumper at our condo for the pool for him! The place was SPOTLESS!! And it’s great walking to everything! Shops, beach, restaurants, the works! The rooms were great, plenty of room for the master and the guest with two twins. The deck/lanai is great to sit outside and chat or watch beach life! The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cutting boards, knives, you name it. Steve and Barb made our whole trip 1000% better with their hospitality. We will for sure be coming back and recommend this place to EVERYONE!!! The pool is close and the water is warm and there are chairs and everything, we even made hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill at the pool one night and it was amazing. Nobody will be disappointed staying here. It’s the perfect spot. And Steve and barb (the hosts) are very responsive to whatever questions you have. 100/100! 5/5 stars!

Our experience was absolutely wonderful! The rental was beautiful and perfect for our family of 5. The owners really put thought and care into this gem of a place. It included everything we needed and more. The kitchen was well stocked with items to cook with and store food. The full sized washer and dryer were extremely handy. Having two separate bedrooms with their own bathrooms/showers were perfect for our needs. We took one side, and our kids took the other. They also included beach towels and other items..the beach umbrella and cooler were super nice to have. The rental is very close to a nice beach (literally across the street), as well as restaurants and shopping areas. Even with the rental being so awesome, the real standout was our host. At the end of our stay, Maui had a pretty significant storm, and our flights were rescheduled. Not only did our hosts send us a message about the incoming weather, they also accommodated an additional stay for us. Overall, we truly loved our stay at this rental and definitely recommend!!

Lighting in kitchen, both baths and over the dining table need updated. Not bright enough. all three glass top tables needed cleaning. The living room rug needs cleaned. The two cooking pots and lids are stained and need replaced. The shower in the second bathroom leaks under the bottom of the door.

We loved staying at Haleakala Shores unit B509! *It was walking distance to both Kama’ole Sands Beach Parks II and III. The owners left 4 beach chairs, coolers and some beach toys to make our beach days fun. *The view from the balcony was wonderful— I love being able to see the ocean from my balcony chair. *It was walking distance to several restaurants, too!*We loved the covered parking space! The car was never overly hot when we went out. *The unit was clean, but the kitchen was stocked with lots of pots, pans and plates, but very few glasses.*The unit was big! We loved having 2 beds and 2 bathrooms. We were comfortable because there were just 2 of us, but there wasn’t a real dining area, just a high top table with 2 chairs, which would be problematic for bigger groups or even 2 couples. There was also a lack of lighting in the living area— some standing lamps or lights on side tables would be helpful.Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at Haleakala Shores!

The beach pantry is very generously loaded with chair, umbrellas, coolers, etc. it came in handy for all the beach days. The location is prime, walking distance to Kam 2 and 3! The accommodations had plenty supplies. We enjoyed the views on the lanai and had a very comfortable stay. This was such a great space for my family. It was close to the beach, restaurants, and had easy access to other areas of the island. Check-in and out were super simple and really made our experience relaxing. I would highly recommend staying here again, especially for the price compared to other properties and locations on the island, as this was a large space with two large bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. Most of the other properties we saw online had one room and a half the size of this space. The other great thing is that they had beach chairs and towels for our family to utilize.

The unit is located in a really good location that allowed us to be able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We had some issues with spotty wi-fi connection and the toaster should replaced soon. This was a great condo for our family of 4. We loved sitting out on the patio in the morning and listening to the birds chirping and watching all the chickens strutting around. The patio felt very secluded. We loved that the condo came with several different coolers, beach chairs, snorkling gear, knee boards, beach toys, beach umbrella and beach towels. we didnt have to buy anything for the beach, such a bonus! We cooked most of our meals in the condo and the kitchen was well stocked. Go to Costco for the cheapest grocery and gas prices! Fantastic beach access and snorkeling! We saw several turtles and lots of fish. Condo comes with a covered parking space. There is a beautiful pool with outdoor eating/hanging out space and several propane grills to cook on. On Wednesdays there is a small swap meet with the best vendors close by. We bought all sorts of stuff there.Would stay here again!

The unit is a study in contradictions. The location next to the beach with a great ocean view is wonderful, however it is also next to an area frequented by homeless people who often startled us with their yelling. The unit is huge and has everything you could possibly need, however it is crammed full of extra stuff in the kitchen so much so that there is no room to store food. It is well furnished, however the furniture is old and tired. It’s a pretty good value but we later found another place to stay in Wailea for the same price without the downsides. The Wailea unit didn’t have as good of a view or the proximity to the beach. So it comes down to what your priorities are.

We loved the location of this property and would stay here again. The only issues we had was with someone at a nearby property (not in the same building) who would yell out at all hours of the night and the elevator did not work for a day. The building had the elevator up and working by the next day. Did take away from having 5 stars across the board but not to the fault of the owners. The kitchen met all of our needs and was handy to have a washer and dryer for the week.

We had a really enjoyable stay for our family of 4, which included two teenagers. The location worked very well for us as we could walk to some food/coffee places, plenty more options were a short drive and the site seeing we did involved reasonable drive times. Kihei felt better for us than the golf/resort areas we visited and we liked the area very much. And, being across the street from the beach was great. Our kids surfed at the Cove which was a short drive away. The place itself worked very well and was plenty comfortable. The balcony is nice with a good view. All around we had a very good experience and would look at this location again.

Location was great. It was close enough to all the restaurants and stores without being in the heart of all the busyness of the area. Our kids loved having the option of going to the pool, which was just steps away. The only thing we didn’t like was the constant sounds of pickleball (court was also just steps away) and the parking was tight. If the neighboring spot parked bad, we had to climb out of the driver seat and exit our vehicle from a different door, but I will add that we had a minivan.

This condo has everything that our family of 5 needed to create memories for life! the primary bedroom was ample, the twin beds in the second bedroom were beautifully separated by an unusual shoji screen, ensuring quiet for our teens. Having 2 bathrooms was a lifesaver, both in excellent condition. The large TV and all the furniture were all in great shape, there was plenty of space for us all to spread out and enjoy. There were beach umbrellas, chairs, sand toys and plenty of towels and amenities available. The location was steps away from Kamaole Park 2, on Wednesday there was an interesting and creative craft fair directly across the street from the condo. The location was excellent, walking distance to many restaurants, shopping and a life guarded beach. You cannot go wrong choosing this condo, the host is very good at communicating, with clear instructions about the condo. Go create lifelong memories at this stunning condo as soon as you possibly can!

This was the perfect place for our family to stay during our trip. The condo was clean, comfortable, and felt like our home away from home. We loved that beach chairs, wagon, sand toys, umbrella, and beach towels were provided. That helped tremendously and allowed us to just enjoy our trip and not worry about purchasing chairs, etc once we got there. The location is perfect! Close to great family friendly beaches (with lifeguards), walking distance to shopping and restaurants, and easy access to major roadways.
