Loved the ground unit and proximity to the beach. Great amenities in this unit. It would have been a bit nicer if there were 6 barstools so we all could sit for any meals. A small detail as everything else was great. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Will stay here again.

Only issue we had was the icemaker and water dispenser wasn’t working but we just purchased ice. It kept saying change water filter but we couldn’t find one.

Property was very clean and well furnished and cozy. All of the locals said that the location was the best for getting the most experience out of Maui while not paying resort prices in Wailea. Was able to see the a lot of the island and also enjoyed the resort at the Kamaole Sands. Check in was easy and one time resort fee of $40 was very reasonable as it included parking for the duration of the stay.

The property was fine, it had all the basic amenities you would need. There were a few things that could use some attention: the shower head in the master bedroom leaked from the base, the a/c unit in the bedroom was a floor unit and was too loud and our child couldn't sleep, the a/c unit in the living room wasn't working well, couldn't keep up with the heat, and was growing mildew in the interior which gave off a musty oder, and most of the cookware was cheap non-stock coated cookware and that flaking off. A no-frills condo in a great location. Additionally, we booked a ground floor unit with a king bed and shortly before the arrival date we were asked to move to a second floor unit with a queen due to construction. We agreed as we did not want to be stranded on vacation, but there was no offer for rate reduction. We were traveling with a child and had to absorb the cost of renting additional equipment for them to be able to sleep in the same room as us.

We have mixed feelings about this unit and the property owner.
The good:
- Location is great.
- The complex amenities (pool, tennis, grills, gym, ping pong) are awesome.
- The unit has all the beach equipment you could need.
- Prior to arrival, the communication from the property owner was very good.
- The unit has a great view of the pool, grounds, and ocean.
The not so good:
- Bedding and towels were stained and dirty.
- The kitchen and lower level bathroom was infested with cockroaches.
- The furniture is old and very uncomfortable.
- The kitchen utensils, plates, glassware, and cookware were stained from overuse.
- The communication and response to concerns by the property owner was ignored after arrival.
For the amount of money we spent, our expectations were not met. Very disappointing.

They were replacing roofs in that complex. They had tore off all the roofs so tropical storm came through because there was plastic paper on part of the roof it leaked in The middle of the night all over bed had to be moved to new condo. Property management responded immediately and moved us.

Great location, we finally made it back to Maui after last year reroute to Kauai as a result of the Lahaina fires. Unit was clean and well stocked. Great amenities and a quick walk to Kam 3 beach and shopping. Pickle ball and the swimming pool was great!

I stayed here with my two teenagers. My teenagers shared the pull out sofa bed which was large enough for both of them. The two full bathrooms and laundry unit were incredibly nice to have for our week there. I can not imagine having to share one bathroom or not being able to wash laundry. Being on the bottom for was very convenient. Additionally, the back door and windows offer a beautiful view of the sunrise. The pool is very close without being in direct eye view which I thought was fantastic. This is walking distance to two beaches and a nearby area where there are restaurants which we ate at all three restaurants.

This condo was even better than we had hoped, we really enjoyed our honeymoon here! It’s a great location at Kamaole Sands, close to the pool and other amenities and just a short walk to the beach. The unit itself was clean and inviting, beautifully decorated, and well equipped. The only thing I missed having was a safe to store our valuables and passports. Everything else in the unit was perfect with lots of extra thoughtful touches for guests. would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking to rent a superior unit! This place was amazing. Clean, and had more amenities than I’ve ever had at any other condo. In fact I was so happy this host was so patient with me. I had left my code several times in the condo and needed to reach her, and she was on it. I will definitely go there again, but I’ve noticed it’s very popular and hard to get in so plan way in advance.

We had the best time staying at this condo. The condo has everything you need. Our favorite place was the porch. You can see the ocean and Haleakala. The beach supplies were so nice to have. The condo has a great kitchen, very comfortable beds and space to relax.
From the condo, you just have to walk across the road and you are at Kamaole Beach park III (beautiful sandy beach). The pool and hot tube area are just a few minute walk from the condo and are very nicely maintained. On Wednesdays at 3pm, they have hula at the pool for two hours. The lady singing was awesome. There are other free activities on other days. Right up the road you will find coffee shops, ice cream, shave ice, food trucks, fish restaurants, grocery stores, abc store and pizza. The condo is in a great location on the island. Only 30 minutes from the airport, minutes from the boat ramp where tours leave from, and 15 minutes to Makena beach, our other favorite beach. There is also a surf school and dive shop close by. The condo was very quiet inside and around the grounds.

Great property for walking access to Kehei. The grounds are very nice to include pool complex, tennis courts and outside shower access.
The unit was nice although view from each balcony is of parking lot and adjacent property.
Upon check in we were surprised with lack of cleanliness of unit. I shared concerns with property owner who responded quickly with apologies and follow up with cleaning service.
We did have an issue with access to main balcony when operating AC. The cooling unit is located in storage closet on balcony and exhaust is very warm, thus not able to sit on balcony when AC in use.
Our family enjoyed the property and access to Kehei and beaches.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay during our vacation to Maui! This condo fit our family of five perfectly - it was so nice that our three children were able to stay in one room (1 queen & 1 twin) rather than someone having to sleep on a pull-out couch. It was nice for them to have their space while mom & dad had our own. So many included extras: (5 beach chairs, 6 beach towels, a boogie board, a cooler and ice packs, dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo & conditioner & body wash, etc. We loved having breakfast on the lanai most mornings and the kids enjoyed playing UNO in the spare moments between activities. We highly recommend this condo to anyone who needs a home away from home while on Maui!

This condo was everything we expected and more. It was beautifully decorated and very spacious. It had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay and a great week on Maui.
The view from the lanai was gorgeous. We enjoyed our morning coffee admiring the beautiful grounds. The location was excellent. It was a quick walk across the road to the beach and an easy walk to shopping and a variety of great restaurants.
PMI Maui was wonderful to deal with and provided great information before and during our stay. A huge shout out to Matthew for making sure that we had the best experience possible!

We love the Kamaole Sands Resort. The grounds are beautiful and the walkability to the beach and restaurants is awesome. The communication with the Hernandez' was fantastic. All that being said, I concur with many of the reviews that call out the need for updates to the unit. The new flooring throughout most of the unit is great. The lanai is wonderful. The kitchen and bathrooms are tired. The air conditioning is only in the living room area. We really prefer to not use air conditioning, and we managed without it because Kihei has trade winds most afternoons so you can create a cross wind by having the door open and the lanai open. The bedroom would have been too hot for many people. There is a ceiling fan, but any speed above very low creates a major wobble and feels unsafe to sleep under. This should be addressed right away. Also, the wicker couch isn't that comfortable to sit on for longer periods. Would be great to replace that. But, all in all, we would stay again.

A great place for 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 3 kids. Plenty of room to spread out. The two lanais connect to a nice grassy area that feels like a private lawn with an easy walk to the beach park, pool, and grill pits. Boogie boards, cooler, beach chairs, foldable wagon and umbrella were included.Kam 3 beach park has great sandy areas and a rocky reef with good snorkeling. Lots of turtles!
