This condo was great! The murphy beds were perfect for our 2 college aged sons - so much better than a pull out sofa!! The place was clean, well stocked and the balcony was lovely. We didn't use the onsite amenities, but everything looked great - pool, bbq area, etc. It was a great home base for us to explore Maui!!

We were lucky enough to spend a week in this condo. It was perfect for our family of 4 with 2 teenagers. The pictures were exactly as the condo is. We especially enjoyed having an AC unit in all 3 spaces. We love the sun but need a place to cool off. This condo is nicely upgraded. We cooked a few meals and I even fell in love with the cooking pans and ordered a set for my own home. The extra large lanai was nice to have morning coffee and an evening cocktail. What a great trip!

We had the perfect stay at Paul and Lynn’s place! We loved the proximity to the beach and the pool. It made the hot days simple and easy with grandparents and two little babies in tow. Walking through the property grounds was also beautiful.The unit was extremely well stocked and organized with awesome labels. Lots of towels, spices, cookware, bbq tools, etc. The umbrellas, chairs, and beach toys all made the trip extra enjoyable. The beds (even the pull out couch), pillows, and couches were comfy. The air conditioning was especially appreciated after some hot days and tired kids. We had quick communication with the owner. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this unit to any friends or family. This condo had everything you could think of! We shared the condo with my brother and his family and we had the most comfortable stay. The only beach supply we had to rent was snorkel gear for us all- the condo had chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards and even a wagon to transport everything! The kitchen was just as well stocked- plenty of all the regular things but also had things you don’t normally find like a rice cooker. It honestly felt like we were staying at someone’s home- not a random condo. Would recommend this place to everyone. It was fantastic.

Lovely, well-decorated apt. in the back of a large landscaped complex of buildings directly across the street from a lifeguarded beach with extensive grounds and family amenities. The apt. was super clean with high end furnishings, appliances, and linens and towels. Be aware that the lanai overlooks a street, not the interior landscaped grounds of the complex. We had a litle trouble getting in to the apartment because we were attempting to use the 4-digit code to unlock the lockbox attached to the door instead of the digital keypad (just black and low with no visible numbers until you touch it) that we were supposed to use. But the hosts' local contact straightened us out immediately. The A/C and ceiling fans worked great and we appreciated having a washer and dryer. Everything you could need for the beach is already available in the apartment. The mattress was a bit on the soft side if that matters to anyone but the bedroom was very quiet for sleeping. My wife and I have stayed in dozens of rental apartments and houses on 4 continents and this one probably had the most well-stocked kitchen as any. We had breakfasts and several dinners in. There was so much to do and so many beaches in the area that we did not even use the pool, which is not visible from the apt.

We were extremely pleased with the unit & property. The condo was clean & had everything we needed. The split ac in all the bedrooms kept us cool & comfortable. We all slept great. The pool was heated. There was a children’s pool & hot tub, as well as, an adult hot tub. The beach was right across the street & everything we needed was right there from beach towels to beach chairs. We had a concern and I was incredibly impressed with the response from the management company. They resolved it fast & efficiently. A wonderful place to stay with your family & make Maui memories to last a lifetime! Don’t wait…book it!

The condo was clean, nicely decorated, and had a great Hawaii vibe. The living room A/C was older and loud but worked fine, and the bedroom A/C cooled well though also noisy. We used both the Murphy bed and sofa bed, which required moving most of the furniture, and we had to put everything back at checkout.A handyman came twice to fix the living room fan. He did get it working, but the second visit in the early evening felt a bit intrusive since we didn’t know when he’d arrive. We declined additional fixes, and the owner was very understanding. One thing to note is that we were required to wash and fold the beach towels a certain way and also wash the bath towels, which felt like more than expected—especially since friends in other units didn’t have the same requirements.Despite these small inconveniences, we truly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the owner’s responsiveness and kindness. The location and overall comfort made it a memorable trip, and we’re grateful for the experience.

This place is the definition of perfect. We’re a family of 4 and the unit being on the ground level was a huge plus. When we arrived the condo was extremely clean and checking in was super easy. The location is perfect as you can walk to the beach, park and shops and convenience stores. Kraken coffee and the cinnamon roll place was our go to! The amenities such as the pool, bbq and picnic area were great especially after a day exploring beautiful maui. The condo itself was much larger than what I anticipated which was amazing for the family. When we go back to Maui next summer we will definitely rebook here!!

Our second time at Kam Sands, but first time in this unit. It's one of the more expensive units here, but was worth it (partly because it's a 2 BR). First, location. Certainly one of the best at the complex. Sunset views can't be beat. It's not overlooking the pool, so you don't get that constant pool noise (I guess families with children might want to be right by the pool, but we didn't). It's an end unit, so less potential neighbor noise, too. Very nice remodel. Supplied with pretty much all you need for your vacation, although we didn't use most of it, like boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs/towels. Even a yoga mat, which was very welcome. HINT: If you have a bunch of stuff or shopping to bring up, there is a folding beach wagon in the lanai closet; makes fewer and easier elevator trips. Also, note there is a rinse station at the end of the unit, so you don't have to trek to the pool one. All was great so we didn't need much more from the owner. We had one minor question, which was answered right away. When we come back, this is THE unit we will seek out.

We had a really good stay here overall. Stayed with 2 young kids and the proximity to the pool was a plus as it is really close to the back lanai. Also a short walk to Kamaole III beach. The place itself had most things one would need including kitchen items, beach chairs, sand toys for the kids, and a cooler for the beach. Bathrooms and bedroom is a little dated and showers could use a good deep clean but for the price I think the place is fair. I’m sure price would be quite a bit higher if it was fully renovated. Grounds are kept nice and clean. Host were great with quick communication, would stay again.

Sharon was an excellent host who responded very promptly to any questions we had. We had to reschedule our stay due to the kona low storms impact and she accommodated us happily and even let us tack on a few extra nights free of charge. The property location is perfect. Walk across the street and you’re on the beach. The lanai was beautiful to sit on and have a morning coffee. There is a plumeria tree 5 ft away that had the air smelling like a tropical paradise. The condo was clean and well equipped. It is on the smaller side and the whicker furniture could use some updating. The air conditioning works good but is very loud inside and outside on the lanai when it is running. We stayed as a family of four (with a five year old and a 2 year old). We had anticipated having the ability to have a crib but upon check-in we were told there were none when we arrived at 11:45 pm. If you are wanting a crib I would ensure its availability beforehand. The only true issue we had with the condo unit was the sofa bed. The mattress was very uncomfortable: lumpy, sunk into the metal frame and loudly creaked anytime you moved. The sofa bed is not equipped to sleep an adult comfortably and so I would caution to rely on the condo for “sleeping four” unless it’s for small children/teens on the sofa bed. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend the condo for a party of two.

Plenty of bath towels, beach towels, kitchen towels, etc. for a week long stay. Washer and dryer in unit is an absolute plus. We loved being able to use beach chair, umbrellas and snorkel equipment. Freezer makes plants of ice. Good sized fridge. AC worked great when we needed it. Resort employees were great and communicative. Not crazy about the beach across the street but plenty of good spots to drive to. Very close to eating and shopping and little markets. Hosts were very kind and helpful. On site entertainment (free) at the pool was an added bonus.

Good location. Place was clean. Beach chairs and umbrellas were nice. Some things beginning to show signs of use. Four plus overall, except the whole time we were there was a struggle with the A/C. Communication with the management company was generally prompt, but there was little action. When we arrived the A/C was not working, so they did send a person out that evening. He basically pulled the electrical disconnect and it started working. Great. The problem was that same reset had to be done once or twice a day at random times. If we weren't there or it was at night the place would heat up and it would take an hour or two to cool off again. Additionally, it was borderline cold even when it was running and we had to keep fans going at all times to keep what cool air there was moving. Irritating when your on vacation and have already paid someone else to take care of it. I kept emailing them and telling them about it and that I kept seeing HVAC vans in the complex, maybe one of them could stop at the unit. They would respond with boilerplate emails but they never sent anybody back out.

A perfect place to call home during our trip to Maui!! The unit had all the amenities we needed plus beach equipment. Major thanks for having a clothes steamer since I forgot mine!! The space is beautifully furnished and the overall aesthetic is lovely, you can tell it’s been remodeled. Our host was super responsive and helped us with the couple of things we needed. South Kihei was a great spot because the beach right out front is good and it’s close to Wailea. It’s also an easy walk or drive into the heart of Kihei where all the shops and restaurants are.
