We had a lovely stay with kids(6,6,9) and grandma. There was lots of living room seating and we were able to get everyone around the dinner table. There wasn’t much room for dry food storage, but there were lots of dishes and cooking implements. Boogie boards, sand toys, chairs and umbrellas in the lanai closet. Lanai is small but has a nice view. Murphy bed was comfy and there’s a trifold mattress and packnplay in one of the closets. Location is unbeatable and the grounds are beautiful and safe. My kids ran around at will. We saw turtles, whales and a monk seal. Can’t wait to return!

The resort property was beautifully maintained and very quiet. The unit with the extra space with a murphy bed suited our needs perfectly with 5 adults. The unit however is scheduled to be renovated the summer of 24 according to the owner and definitely shows its wear and tear. We had issues with several things and the owner was quick to respond and fix those that could be fixed. The kitchen needs a very deep clean with replacement of the very used cookware, more silverware, more plastic storageware and a new ice chest fo9 beach use. My wish is that this unit had been renovated before our 2 week stay.

We had a great stay at this condo with my 3 adults and one baby. The condo was as described and sitting on the lanai to enjoy the sunsets every night made it worth the price alone. Beach is across the street and condo and property is very well maintained. We can’t wait to come back!

Visited Maui to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary with a vow renewal. Our 7th time staying at Kamole Sands. Perfect condo for a family of 6. Our prayers and thoughts are with the island as they recover from the fires that erupted during our stay.

The location was absolutely fantastic. The property was great too. Just a little dated. The condo itself was good overall but somewhat cramped for 6 guests. The bathrooms are very small. Overall, it was fine since we weren’t at the condo very much because we were out enjoying the beauty of Maui. However, things to be aware of…the A/C did not work very well in the bedrooms and we were a bit hot at night. Also, the kitchen could use some TLC and a refresh of the cooking supplies, appliances and cabinets.
The property owner was very helpful and always responded quickly to our questions

We had a great time at this property. The size of the condo was perfect and the views of the fountains and the ocean were some of my favorite things. It is a well decorated and cozy place to stay. It is older unit and a little darker than I would have liked as far as natural light coming in. The AC in the Master bedroom works but doesn't get very cold. Thankfully they have a ceiling fan and other fans in the unit to help cool things off at night.
They have a wide selections of dishes and pots and pans but they are not the greatest of quality but they served the purpose. There were plenty of beach chairs, umbrella's, boogie boards etc. for our use and that was perfect for the short walk across the road to the beach. Overall we were very happy staying here. This is our 5th time staying at the Kamaole Sands complex and we love it there. Very laid back and low key area and a short walk or drive to shops and Fred's Mexican restaurant. We definitely recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed. Sandi was great to communicate with about our stay.

We love sitting on the balcony enjoying the view. There were lots of lizards my kids enjoyed catching, mango trees dropping fruit, and the pool is a good temp. There is a ping pong table at the pool and the tennis courts are great with free clinics! Total win!!!
The only downsides were hot air from the A/C that blows on the veranda if you have it on and lots of rules to be aware of around the grounds. Like no pool floaties allowed. Otherwise we loved it!!!

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at this property. The condo had everything we needed, and more! The murphy bed in extension off of the living room was a great addition. The beach supplies were fantastic to have, including swim fins for all of us! We took full advantage of enjoying breakfast on the lanai, some early morning time on the (easy to book) tennis courts, and the easy stroll to the beautiful beach just across the street. The ocean, fountains, wonderfully landscaped grounds, and mountain in the distance provided a beautiful view from any angle in the front of the condo. We had one day of pretty hard rain, and were happy to enjoy some indoor time playing games and hanging out in the condo. The owners were quick to reply to any questions we had. Overall, a perfect getaway!

5 STARS ALL AROUND. The property and condo and location were exceptional. Sandi and contact were easy to access if necessary and very welcoming. This property was very well laid out, but one kitchen cabinet was damaged, without a knob at all. The shower faucet needed plumbing work during the week, largely due to heavy use and age, and the shower door was rickety and scraped open with difficulty. We managed fine, but the place is so popular the owner keeps putting off the needed upgrade.

The condo location can’t be beat. Short walk to the beach and ocean views from the lanai. The two bedroom condo with extra family room space is perfect for a family getaway. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking some great meals and lots of dishes and spices in the cupboards. Really appreciated all the chairs and beach gear. We had everything we needed. Whale watching and weather was fabulous! Would highly recommend this condo for a family vacation.

Jim and Sandi have a great condo located in Kihei. My family and I had a wonderful trip we were at this location for 12 days. The condo is located in a great spot very close to Wailea and the golf courses great access to very nice beach and great food and shopping. Will definitely stay here again.

My husband and three adult children stayed in this unit for a family wedding vacation for 10 days. It was very roomy for all of us and had everything you would need from home! There were lots of lawn chairs, beach mats, beach towels, snorkel supplies, two tennis rackets and even a big bag of sand toys for young children.
The kitchen was very well stocked with many pots and pans, dishes, glassware and containers for beach picnics and leftovers! There is also a full cupboard of spices, oil, vinegar, etc.
The unit was lovely, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Sandi was great to deal with, very responsive and even gave us a late checkout when we asked as we had a late flight... she was awesome!
The unit isn't modern or newly updated if that's what you're looking for, but it has everything you will need and more!
I would recommend staying here.... the beach is beautiful and only a 5 minute walk away. I liked the fact that this complex was at the end of the "strip" so didn't feel as busy.

We enjoyed the location of the unit, close to a great beach and nearby stores and restaurants. The unit had plenty of room for our 4 adults and 2 young grandchildren, and the beach view from the lanai was gorgeous. The A/C was a great relief when conditions got too humid, but on most days we enjoyed the cool breeze through the unit. We had a great time, and Sandi was very responsive to our questions.

The large space, beautiful view from lanai, and Kihei location are what drew us to this condo. And it didn’t disappoint!! There are plans for a renovation next year, nonetheless it was clean and very nicely decorated with a tropical ambiance that was both comfortable and exotic. There are plenty of amenities within, such as kitchen equipment, towels, bedding and beach gear. The bedroom air conditioning units are a bit noisy if you need them, but plans to replace them with new systems are coming soon. Around the Kihei area there are coffee spots, restaurants, shopping and several beaches all within walking distance as other's have noted.
However, what I unexpectedly appreciated about this condo was the owners’ immediate attention, concern, problem solving and the helpful response we received when we got locked out of the condo late one night. They went above and beyond to get us back in, which was not an easy feat especially considering the hour. They kept us updated on the progress and personally took care of everything. That is what you can expect from these owners, and we feel very fortunate and grateful to have met you. Thank you for your kind-heartedness, and gracious spirit!

Great location. We ate almost every meal on the balcony looking out at the ocean, and grounds of Kamaole Sands. The condo was just the right size for our family of 4. With Kamaole 2 and 3 right across the street, there was no need to drive anywhere. Lots of fun. We would definitely return.

We had an amazing stay in Kihei with our kids as well as grandma and grandpa. The location was perfect and the condo fit our needs. The breeze coming through the condo was amazing with the doors open and the view was spectacular. I found myself wishing I could sleep on the lanai. Thank you for sharing your condo with us!

We had a fabulous stay at Kamaole Sands. The condo was spacious and the view from the balcony was never tiring. We were able to walk every day to the beaches, restaurants and convenient stores. Without a doubt we will consider coming here again.

This condo has amazing decorations and a well stocked kitchen. Would love to know where you purchased the beaded table runner. Lots of towels too, however, for 6 of us, two sample size shampoo and conditioner were not quite enough. The check in procedure was not clear on going to the office first. We futzed around trying to enter the coded gate entry until we sorted out there was another entrance to the units. Our neighbors were smoking weed on their porch nonstop so we couldn't enjoy the porch. The directions to the television and wifi weren't in the unit and the landlord didn't have the information and directed us to the local property management. The gentleman they sent out was very kind and supportive but it took him quite a while to sort that. The safe wasn't working properly either.

My family stayed at Sandy and Jim's place over Christmas this year. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the spacious condo. As another reviewer stated, the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was also extremely well stocked with everything we needed to prepare a few things to bring over to a friend's for Christmas. The place was stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys and a cooler. The location couldn't be beat - a short 3 minute walk to the beach, a 10 minute walk to some nearby restaurants and ice cream and a short drive to Wailea and all it has to offer. Coffee on the balcony looking out to the ocean every morning was the best. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Sandy and Jim for a great stay.

It had almost everything we could have wanted for a home away from home! If there had been a booster/high chair and slightly more toiletries, it would have been perfect. It was incredibly well stocked, ice, condiments, giant Folgers coffee grounds, spices, cups, plates (both adult and non-breakable and even sippy cups), cookware, beach stuff, sooo many towels, a pack and play, a step stool, cleaning stuff and was close to the main street and the beach across the street and a pleasant walk across the grounds to the pool. We were extremely comfortable, the main bedroom's king bed was just as comfortable as our own bed at home! And the view of the three fountains and the ocean was gorgeous.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The space was clean and had the supplies we needed plus more; the bodyboards and snorkeling sets were a nice bonus I wasn't anticipating. I think the space would be great for a family of four or two couples traveling together. The view from the lanai, in particular, was worth the price alone. This unit sits towards the front of the property and has a near-unobstructed view of the ocean.
Sandy, the property owner, was really responsive, and immediately addressed any concerns I had.

In general, Kihei is also a great base for exploring the island, especially if you have a car. There are plenty of inexpensive food and drink options nearby, and accessible beach parks. Kam III is across the street and has great snorkeling and boogie-boarding. I would recommend a rental car if you're staying here: this location is probably a touch far from some of the Kihei mainstays like Kihei Caffe, and you'd need to drive to see the more picturesque beaches in Wailea or Kaanapali. We probably spent 2/3 of our time in Kihei and the other 1/3 at Kaanapali or other parts of the island (Road to Hana is 100% worth it, by the way).

Sandi, (the owner) was quick to answer any questions or concerns. We had a problem with the televisions twice, and both times she quickly arranged for someone to come by and assist. The unit itself was large, 2 plus bedrooms, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a good sized living room. The master bedroom furniture took up most of the bedroom, but we didn't spend much time in there anyway. Also, the air conditioner in that room was a bit too loud for our comfort, but it was better than sleeping in a hot room, which is the case in many other condos without ac. Plus, the location in the resort was great. It had beautiful ocean views. The building is close to the street, but we never heard any traffic noise.

This is a cute place with everything you need, including beach chairs & umbrella, boogie boards, and tennis equipment. It is a terrific location as Kamaole Beach III is a walk across the street. It is also walking distance to a few restaurants which were good. Good area to run in the morning along the beach or towards the hotel district. The place is cute and we had 4 adults so used the Murphy bed area as a bedroom but it also provided extra living room space too which was perfect. Host provided quick response to questions. Perfect condo for our group which include 2 adults, 2 young adults, and 2 teenagers. The living room with the Murphy bed provided a 3rd bedroom due to the privacy divider and was perfect for the teenagers. Great location, building is closest to beach and sunset views from the lanai. Couldn't ask for anything more and had a wonderful experience. Thank you!

My family (2 adults, 2 teenagers) had the best time staying here! The location was great for us because it's walking distance to shops and restaurants and across the street from a nice beach park! The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds comfortable and unbelievable sunsets from the balcony. Highly recommend!
