We enjoyed our stay at Kihei Surfside 513, which had a great oceanfront view. The room met our expectations based on the description. The trade winds died down a couple of nights and there was no a/c, but luckily there were several fans! Unfortunately we had to keep the large sliding door closed at night to keep out beetles that loved to come in through its cracks. There was construction on site that was not too disruptive, but unfortunately construction on the nearby street was noisy starting at 9 each weekday. We also received over a dozen emails related to our booking, which seemed excessive. Overall 4.5/5, would be 5/5 with a/c and no construction.

Rosie’s rental was amazing! The Kihei surfside is the perfect location. Oceanfront (not many of those in Kihei), big grassy area for yoga bocce ball and just lounging plus a nice pool to cool off. Walking distance from south kihei restaurants via the trail (~15 mins) or longer walking distance to the wailea beaches the other way. We snorkeled right off the point the condo is built on every morning and saw turtles from tbe the lawn multiple times a day. Having beach access within a two minute walk was fantastic. And the best part was our snorkel tour took off from the kihei boat ramp (not even 5 min walk away from the condo!). If you stay here, we highly recommend doing one of the smaller boat snorkel tours from that boat launch- amazing intimate experience and so convenient vs having to drive to a marina to catch a bigger catamaran. The unit itself was in great condition. Nothing too frilly but has everything you need including extra kitchen gadgets like a crockpot and rice cooker to make meals at home. The extra half bath was a nice bonus and the shower had great water pressure. There’s no AC but the trade winds did their job for the most part and we were fine. One night when the air was pretty still, we brought extra fans into the bedroom and that worked well. It’s island time, living with the windows open and the breeze is part of the experience! Plus being up on the 5th floor, there is a bit more air movement. We really enjoyed the view from our balcony and sat out there often (if we weren’t down on the lawn on a lounge chair). Overall, it was just perfect. If you’re looking for an affordable condo stay vs luxury villa/resort in this part of Maui- this is the ticket!

Even though we saw pictures the moment you walk in and see the view it’s a definite WOW moment! The condo is clean and big enough that 4 wouldn’t feel too crowded. The grounds are well kept. The pool and the BBQ area were nice. Lots of nice residents. The office was helpful when we had questions. Did I mention the view? It was so nice that it was often hard to leave as it was just calming to be there day and night. The sunsets right out the window. There are several beaches with in walking distance and the town is not as-busy/touristy as up north. But still lots of great places to eat. Paia fish market, Nalu’s, Nutcharee’s Thai food. We’re some of our favorites. Oh one more amazing fact… the close beaches often have turtles. The were a few small cons (No AC…it was hot! The roosters start crowing early and are loud and the bed could use an upgrade as it was a bit uneven/worn). But Even with those cons the place was great and we will look to stay again if we come back to Maui! Thanks for an amazing stay.

It’s a great place and location and nice apartment. The check in process was somewhat awkward because the electronic communications could be easier to navigate. Also, check in at 4 pm should be 3 pm. No real reason why not. And check out at 10 am is obnoxious. Should be 11 at least or noon even better. Doesn’t take take 3 hours to clean these places and we left ours pretty clean. Just saying. Aloha!

Old property in good conditions and amazing view of the ocean, close to the beach. Well-equipped kitchen and nice bedding and restroom. It's about 15-20 min walk to shops/restaurants, which is a bit inconvenient if you don't have a car, but doable. Building also has laundry which is helpful. Host was very nice and accomodated an early check in

We had a great time staying in unit 513.
The unit was fully stacked made out stay very comfortable.
The view is great. We could spot whales from the balcony.
Rosters can ben loud in the morning, but it didn't bother us much. The resort have ear plugs if needed.
The resort office provided us with 4 beach chairs.
Overall we had a great vacation and stay in 513. Communication, booking, check in-out was seamless.

We loved staying at this property for the proximity to snorkeling and Keawakapu Beach. With no air conditioning, it can be a bit warm late in the day if the winds aren’t blowing but the views and location combined with price make for a great stay.

We traveled to Maui for my son’s wedding. Kihei Surfside was a great property with it’s amazing views and excellent location. We had a great time exploring the island in addition to three days of wedding activities. Our only complaint was the layer of red dirt over everything due to the installation of new sod. With the strong trade winds blowing every afternoon, the dirt was constant. The windows needed to be kept open because of the heat. Once the new sod is installed and there is no longer a big dirt field below the unit, this should not be an issue. The upgrades to the property in the pool and grill area are greatly appreciated.

The space has a breathtaking ocean view, kitchen with a fridge for leftovers. Since there is no ac, the fans are really great and the sliding doors and window create a nice cross breeze. The swimming pool construction was not an issue as we were out and about during the day. Management is prompt in sending info. through email, check in was very smooth. Overall was a great stay, I’d definitely stay here again<3

We really enjoyed our stay here! The view was absolutely stunning with the green lawn, beach, ocean view, and the island right out the balcony and kitchen/living room window! The property was clean and very well stocked with plenty of linens and kitchen/cooking supplies. The only slight downside was that this unit did not have air conditioning, so the bedroom was warm. However, it was well stocked with multiple fans and had many large windows/doors that could open in the main living space that provided a great breeze. The location of the unit was a short walk to a beach and there were restaurants and shops close by. Check in and out was quick and easy. The construction did not impede our stay nearly at all. It was still stunning and there was minimal construction noise. We just didn't have the pool (which we didn't mind!). Thanks for a great stay!

This unit has great views of the ocean and beautiful sunsets! The unit is clean and quiet. The on-site managers were helpful and courteous. The location allows for good access to island trips. We knew of the construction going on and they typically worked from 8-3:30, the company made an effort to provide access to the lawn area. We figured out how to get the fans running so we could be comfortable. Plenty of beach items, chairs, umbrella, snorkeling stuff and beach bag. You can’t do anything about the wild chickens and those darn roosters that start at 3:30 am, I used ear plugs and it helped. I would stay here again and recommend it.

The location and property are great. Unfortunately I walked in about 10:30 at night and all the windows were shut, and only fan on was in the bedroom. It was like walking in to a sauna and I immediately threw up. It is the hottest it's ever been, there needs to be some sort of ventilation, cross breeze, something. You cannot leave a property shut up during unusually hot temperatures without fans everywhere TURNED ON, and even better, an open window. It was 94 degrees inside. It's even more disappointing because I had selected AC as a requirement when searching since I'm pregnant and have an almost 2 year old, so this property should not have even came up. I woke up the next morning and it was still 89 degrees. My poor baby did not sleep at all and was so miserable. I messaged the owner and he said someone would come up with more fans, but I waited a few minutes and didn't hear anything, so I found another place. Thank God I did because several hours later nobody ever came up with more fans. Sucks I had to spend double on accommodations and never heard another word from the owner. He got his money, so he doesn't care about the renters anyway. At the rate you are paying, just don't do it. it's not worth it. I lost an entire day of my short trip over, and tons of money.

Excellent location, the hotel next door, across the parking lot has a store for ever u need...bring your own coffee cup and pay $1.25 for a good cup. Also nice breakfast , a little pricy but beach view, opens at 8 for the first morning nice option. Beach great , saw turtles while snorkeling! Ask the front office for beach chairs u can keep them for the duration. View from room incredible. Kitchen well stocked, pool refreshing! Had a noisy couple next door that took away the serenity of the morning but certainly not the fault of the condo. Would like to see a book of suggestions in the condo...Eskimo candy excellent for fish to grill!

View was great of mountains and ocean up to pool. Ya gotta love roosters in the morning! Location to one of the best beaches on Maui was perfect. Plenty of amenities in condo. Light socket behind couch seemed to be shorting out and/or plug won't stay in. Another socket had same issue. Minor issues to improve, only 3 washcloths available and they were not white once water hit them. Need to be replaced.
Some elderly in our party felt the need to clear condo of trash and recycles upon leaving to be bothersome. It was nice to be able to leave usable food for distribution. Nice TV, lanai pool, and grounds. Overall, you won't be disappointed if the minor issues are dealt with.

We had great experience here, clean and very nice views from beach, very central, close to a Safeway and good restaurants, not far from airport, there was beach gears. I only wish there was AC as it gets really hot during summer. Also no coffee and not enough shampoo and soap provided which wasn't a big deal.

The complex and grounds are truly amazing. Possibly one of the best locations on Maui. The condo was very nice and clean and filled with everything you need. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that the mattress was very soft and uncomfortable. Other than that, it's great!

We were extremely happy with this condo and are already planning our next stay! The unit, building and grounds were clean and very well kept. And the view just can't be beat! The floor to ceiling windows and mirrors give you a beautiful view of the palm trees and ocean. No roads, sidewalks, power lines, or public beach...all you see is a beautifully manicured lawn, palm trees and big blue ocean. At night you can see the distant sparkling lights across the water that come from the town of Maalaea. The unit was well stocked, beach items as well, and there wasn't anything we needed that wasn't provided. The building also has extra beach chairs and sand mats for your use. We did use the sofa bed, which worked great for our 10 year old daughter, however wasn't very adult friendly.
We will be back and hope to stay again at KS513!

This unit has everything you need for a perfect stay in paradise. The place is very well equipped with all the kitchen items you could possibly want, along with all the things you need for the beach, extra bedding and towels and more. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. The location is great, and the view is fantastic. The ocean is right there, and the mirrors in the living room make it feel like you are surrounded by the beautiful blue sea. The host is friendly, responsive and helpful. We loved our stay here and would definitely come again!

My husband and I are returning customers to this resort. The location is simply the best! The views especially at sunset are awesome and unique every evening. We enjoy the barbecue facilities practically every evening while watching the sunsets. The other tenants are so nice and friendly and willing to share. The expansive lawn area is a plus for enjoying the sun and playing lawn games. Very ideal for families especially with young children. The adults have fun too with lawn bowling. The famous Keawakapu Beach is just steps away from the Resort. The best part after a long and fun day at the beach, hiking or just site seeing is sitting on our lanai, enjoying our cocktails watching the sunset and then the night sky.

Beautiful location. Great view. Reasonably priced. Very nice attendents in front office if you need anything. The front desk and the VRBO management for this unit definitely went above and beyond for us when we locked our laundry in the dryer (embarrassing). They also helped us out with a special request we had because we came with a toddler which my wife and I both appreciated a great deal. The unit was in very good condition. Not only did we love the unit, we liked the surrounding beaches and reastaurants. There are solitary areas where you can relax and enjoy the quiet - then take a short walk and be surrounded by lots of people having fun playing in the waves. The pool was a nice bonus. All the people we met in the building were also very open and welcoming. The only suggestion, (although it's definitely a suggestion I think would make a BIG difference and not be too difficult) would be to replace the ceiling fan in the living room. It gets very hot there sometimes and that fan doesn't do ANYTHING to cool the room. We literally reversed the fan several times because we couldn't figure out if the fan was pushing air up toward the roof or blowing it down on us - that's how weak it was. I think for about 100 bucks that fan could be replaced and then the room would be breezy and comfortable. Big difference. Overall though, we loved our experience, the room, and the service. Thanks!!
