This sixth (top) floor oceanfront condo at the Kihei Surfside Resort is located on the sought after ocean side of the elevator, and has a spectacular ocean view from the kitchen, living room, dining area and lanai. It is one of the larger, 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath units (680 sq ft). The view of the ocean and its abundant wildlife is absolutely breathtaking.

The unit has been tastefully remodeled to a very high standard. The kitchen and vanities are done in rich cherry colored cabinetry (new in 2015) and gorgeous light brown granite countertops, which is consistent throughout the unit. The entire unit has porcelain flooring. All lighting in all rooms is controlled by dimmer switches.

The very attractive peninsula style kitchen is fully equipped with clean white appliances, including a refrigerator with ice maker, full size range, dishwasher, multi-function microwave oven, garbage disposer and a variety of small appliances including coffee maker, coffee grinder, four slice toaster, blender, crock pot, rice maker and hand mixer. There is also a large selection of higher end pots and pans, baking pans, high quality knife set, spice rack and ample matching dishes, glasses and cutlery.

The living room has a queen size sofa-bed and a flat screen LCD color TV and DVD player, and of a multi speed ceiling fan. There is free wireless high speed internet and telephone with free long distance calling to the United States and Canada.
The oceanfront dining area has a round rattan glass table with 4 matching tropical armchairs.

The large, private lanai has a glass bistro table with two padded swivel rocker chairs – a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a romantic oceanfront dinner!

The bedroom has a new King sized bed, high quality bedding, flat screen TV, multi speed ceiling fan, Hawaiian style rattan furniture, plantation shutters, closet, digital security safe and telephone.

The master bathroom has a full size, walk in shower, a beautiful cherry vanity with granite countertop. The matching half bath has been finished to the same high standard. Both bathrooms have Kohler toilets.

The unit is fully equipped with utensils, fresh linens and towels, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, beach towels and a cooler. Umbrellas, boogie boards and snorkel gear are NOT supplied, but are often left behind in the units by other guests – no guarantees. Laundry facilities are available on site.

This unit is an excellent choice for guests who are looking for a beautifully remodeled unit in a spectacular location in the building with a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean and the West Maui mountains.

The Kihei Surfside Resort is located at 2936 S. Kihei Road, South Kihei at the entrance of beautiful Wailea. This is the desert part of Maui, where the sun shines more than any other part of the island. The Kihei Surfside Resort consists of an absolute oceanfront concrete building of 6 floors and 84 deluxe units with an elevator. The building underwent an extensive makeover during the summer of 2015, it was closed for six months. Each unit received new windows, doors and railings, and the building itself had a complete concrete restoration and paint. There is free parking on site. The resort is a twenty-five minute drive from the Kahului Airport (OGG). Rental cars are available at the airport or in Kihei town. There are also taxis available at the airport (about $50), a shuttle bus and public transportation.

Virtually all of the properties and resorts in Kihei are either located right on busy S. Kihei Rd., or if they are set back from the road - are across from the street from the ocean. One unique feature of the Kihei Surfside is that it is located at the quiet end of S. Kihei Road, AND is set back 300 feet from S. Kihei Road AND is located right on the ocean! Because it is hard to see from the road, many first time Surfside guests say that even though they have visited Kihei many times, they had never seen the resort!

Another unique feature of the property is that we have a 2 acre, immaculately kept oceanfront lawn area with dozens of loungers, with a heated swimming pool and deluxe barbecue facilities. In season, there are daily whale sightings from both the grounds and lanais. In fact, the Pacific Whale Foundation conducts their annual whale count from our property. The building is located at the north end of Keawakapu Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui (voted Maui's most romantic), where you can walk for miles past some of the most expensive oceanfront homes on the island and the luxurious hotels of Wailea.

COVID CANCELLATION POLICY:

In order to best serve our guests and help keep everyone safe, below are the latest revisions to our COVID 19 cancellation policy. This applies to guests who booked directly with RosiesRentals that choose to cancel a trip due to government recommendations or because you're prioritizing the health of your family and loved ones or guests that are unable to travel to Hawaii due to government restrictions or airline shutdowns.

1) Guests that have paid deposit only - Deposit is forfeit, reservation is cancelled.

2) Guests that have paid in fulla) Credit for a future stay, less 25%, can be used for stays with a check in date within 13 months of their original check in date.b) 50% refund of the amount paid to us (rental rates, fees and taxes) GUEST MUST REQUEST THE REFUND OPTION WITHIN7 DAYS OF CANCELLING THEIR ORIGINAL STAY, AND BEFORE ANY RESCHEDULING.

3) Guests that are cancelling a reservation that was booked prior to March 2, 2020 and has already been rescheduled$100 fee applies. This is a one-time only option. Future cancelations will be processed using the above policies.

4) Guests that reserved through VRBO should rely on the trip cancelation/interruption insurance offered at the time of booking.

Only guests canceling peak period reservations (Dec 18-Mar 31) can reschedule during this time and must be in the same unit if available. Guests can reschedule in any of our Kihei Surfside properties if reschedule dates are outside peak period. All rescheduling subject to availability.

Prevailing rates, fees, and taxes applicable to the new reservation will apply.

Beginning March 26, 2022, there will be no COVID-related requirements for arriving domestic passengers. Travelers arriving in Hawaii directly from international airports must still comply with U.S Federal requirements; consult with your airline.
