This is a great vacation rental at a fantastic location. Right in the beach with a huge lawn area in front, the views are spectacular, there’s a great swimming beach right next door. Walk the other direction and there’s and a little cove where we saw a green sea turtle almost every day we were there. The condo has every you need, and it’s all super well organized and labeled. The building has a nice pool, plenty of lounge chairs, plus large grills, picnic tables and benches for enjoying the grounds and sunset. Elizabeth is a great host, her communication is timely, super clear, and helpful. Check -in and checkout process were easy, and plenty of parking. Highly recommend and would definitely stay at Elizabeth’s place again.

We usually stay in Lahaina and this time our last night got booked out so I found this place and booked it. Was perfect to end our last night in Maui, with a beautiful sunset right there, right next to the pool and lots of grass to run around! We stayed up late on the lawn star gazing and woke up early for sunrise walk along the beach. Thank you for sharing your place, our family enjoyed our stay.

Only thing we had a problem with was how hot and sweaty the bathroom gets with steam from shower but there’s not much you can do about that. No AC but there was many ceiling fans and a big box fan provided. We enjoyed our stay. Very nice

Everything we needed was provided. There was a beach umbrella, ice chest and beach blanket in the unit. Dan in the office gave us beach chairs, sand toys and a couple of extra chairs for the lanai since there was only two chairs and a small table. We have friends on Maui who visit us and wanted to sit outside.
The unit (108) was clean and well equipped. The ceiling fans worked well and we didn't need the floor fan that was provided. Trade winds helped.
Beware there are no seasonings or condiments. Not even salt and pepper. I brought my own in baggies since I read about that in another review. We've stayed in many condos on Maui and usually had the basics in the cupboard.
I was really happy to find many different types of pillows in the drawers. I almost brought my own because I like a very flat pillow.
The heated pool was awesome! It was cleaned every day and the glass enclosure meant you could still enjoy the view. The grounds were immaculate. We really enjoyed the bird feeder that attracted love birds, Java sparrows, cardinals, chickens, etc.
It was also fun watching the many dogs people were playing with in the park area. There was a plenty of room to play bocce ball or croquet (in room or provided by the office). There was also a putting green.
The view and location can't be beat!
Across the parking lot at the Mana Kai is the 808 Deli. The salads and panini sandwiches were delicious. It's also a little market and the prices are very reasonable.
The only negative for us was the small parking spots and people not parking evenly between the lines. We had an SUV (needed due to disability) and one night we had to park in the gravel lot across the way. There weren't enough disabled spaces. There were several regular spots at Surfside but we wouldn't have been able to open the doors.
We will definitely stay at Kihei Surfside again!

The place is nice, good location and beautiful views BUT your head spins with all the landlord’s rules. Dont touch this, dont do that…honestly, it felt like we were too scared to live in the place & we got the strong impression of being unwelcome. Also, the condo is beautifully renovated except for the bedroom, it’s dark, cluttered and very noisy.

We took a short trip out to look at wedding venues and have a little R&R and couldn't have enjoyed our time more at this spot. We loved being able to walk right out to the beach front lawn area and snorkel right in front of the building. We will definitely be back!

The house is located in front of the ocean and a beautiful park. Everyday you can see the blissful sunset just from your house. Very decent house for 4 parties. Well equipped kitchen and with a ton of towels. Elizabeth is a great host with timely information and updates. We never needed to reach her as the house was all set. We enjoyed our stay here and looking fwd to returning to the property.

Clean, uncluttered condo that opens onto grassy lawn overlooking the ocean. Contiguous with Kihei boat launch nature trail on one side and resort beach on the other. This was more like a nice hotel than a typical VRBO in terms of amenities (and lack of previous tenant's condiments in fridge, etc.). Owner is very responsive and on Hawaii time, which is super convenient.

We had a wonderful time staying at Kihei Surfside. Watching the sunset from the lawn was our most cherished moments and a wonderful walk where we saw some turtles chillin on the beach. Our only problem was getting use to no AC and the noise from people at the elevator . It was such a peaceful and beautiful piece of paradise.

This condo provided our family of four with a fantastic home during our 13 day stay. Ground floor access to the lawn and just steps from the pool were just what we needed. We're happy to have stayed here. One suggestion for the lanai: replace the single chair with two chairs and a small table to allow guests to relax and enjoy. It would be a small effort but make the lanai experience even better. Thanks, Elizabeth. We hope to be able to return again soon!

The condo is a good size for our family of four and is in a great location. The unit is well appointed, has what you need, and Elizabeth was very responsive and answers the phone. The grounds are well kept, the view is excellent, and it’s a short walk to some very nice beaches. We had the opportunity to meet some of the long term folks, as well as short timers like ourselves, and the atmosphere at this complex is what you want when looking for a great place to stay.

We loved this property! It was great for a family of 4 with twin 10 year olds. Snorkeling and the beach were a 60 second walk. We saw whales and turtles everyday! Elizabeth was great about communicating and the check in was seamless. The condo was well appointed and had everything we could ask for. Exactly as advertised. Communication and check-in process was very straightforward. It’s a 2 mins walk to the beach. We rented snorkel gear and SUP easily at the property next door. Also did some great snorkeling right out front of the property. The 5 palms next door is also a very good restaurant!

I was so shocked on how beautiful this unit was and especially the view. The unit was so clean and simple with modern touches and nicely decorated. Everything was labeled and had its place. The pullout bed and the regular bed in the bedroom was comfy. The sheets were nice quality too. The whole unit was spotless. The shower was beautiful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone to stay. I did notice there were a lot of older couples which I personally prefer than loud younger crowds (even though we are young ourselves) but I like the calm atmosphere that’s here.

My husband and I ended our 27th wedding anniversary trip with 2 nights at Elizabeth’s beautiful little condo. It is a perfect location, very relaxing with the pool and ocean just steps away. We spent an entire afternoon right at the oceans edge watching spectacular hump back whales. Elizabeth was thorough and easy to work with….I’d highly recommend this property.

Great Place!! Great location as a home base to explore the rest of Maui. (i.e. Centrally located to pretty much anywhere else on the island you'll be going). Condo was very clean and very well stocked with the Basics and a little bit more! The views of the islands, surf, whales, wind turbines, roosters, hens and sunsets from the unit are terrific! It's about a 75 second walk to the beach "proper". The onsite staff at the Surfside were very helpful and responsive to any queries we had. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and in like new shape. Def would stay here again. Mahalo Elizabeth!!

We loved our stay here. Our favorite part was being able to easily walk to a great snorkeling area to the right of the condo property. We also enjoyed the excellent view and the ability to cook and eat most of our meals at the condo, which was very peaceful as compared to fighting for space at restaurants. Being so close to the pool was great as well, and it's a lovely new renovation. The community here is cute, and walking out to the lawn to watch the sunset while others did the same was fun. There is noise from the elevators during the day if you leave the bedroom windows open, but it's no big deal if you expect that and it's quiet at night. I personally love the roosters and my husband slept fine with ear plugs. The bed was great. We stayed for 8 days and found this condo perfect for our desired relaxing vacation with occasional trips to other areas of the island.

I would highly recommend this place to people who would like to enjoy the convenience of the location and the incredible view. We were surprised to see the roosters, chickens, and birds. However the roosters are really annoying at night. Make sure you pack ear plugs for a good night sleep. Or get some from the office if it’s open. We enjoyed our stay!!

We just stayed here for two nights after staying in Napili and Kaanapali for the first 10 days of our trip and what can I say, after staying at the Kihei Surfside I wish it was the other way around. Most amazing view from our Lanai overlooking the ocean. Great location as well. Ten steps to the resort pool overlooking the ocean and about a two minute walk to the beach. Apartment was super clean and has everything you need and more. 6 out of 5 stars! We'll be back for sure!

This was our first time staying in a condo instead of a hotel and we just loved the experience and amenities that the condo had to offer. The unit was super clean and had the easy access to outdoors that we were looking for. It is located right outside the elevator and generally that side of the unit is quite noisy but the backside of the unit and the view outweighs any of the noise issues. We set up the fan in the room to help with added white noise and that helped tremendously. If you are a couple that is looking for a quiet place to be left alone, this is not the place for you, but if you are a family with kids and or are active and up early ready to enjoy the day and the outdoors this is the perfect place to be. There is so much to do, right outside the back door. The amenities are endless and activities out on the lawn. Every morning there are kids out playing and people out walking, joining others for coffee out by the tables. Everyone also comes out in the evening to BBQ or play games on the lawn while waiting for the sunset. The sunsets each night are not to be missed! Overall this condo offers a real sense of neighborhood and is very welcoming!

I did read reviews before booking and some people commented on the elevator being right outside the unit, I was glad to know that so I wasn’t shocked, some people were quite loud but we are early to bed people, usually by 9, so I was happy to have my ear plugs (which I always bring with anywhere I stay). Ooh and the bed! Wow!! It was so comfortable!
The quality of the towels and sheets are very nice. The ocean breeze was great!
I would highly recommend staying here!

My husband and I love Maui!! This is our seventh Annual trip coming to Maui. Our first time ever staying down in Kihei! Kihei surfside #108 did not disappoint!!! We were in love with the view as soon as we stepped into the place. The unit is plenty big for 2 people!

We enjoyed walking to the beach and using the chairs and umbrellas provided! The added fans were nice to help circulate the air throughout the place!! Highly recommend and look forward to coming back someday!!!! 😊

This was truly a great find and perfect for two. The unit was immaculate along with the grounds. Stepping out of this ground floor unit took us out onto and expansive grass area and steps from the pool. The sandy beach was a short walk and offered great snorkeling. I highly recommend this place without hesitation.

The location was terrific and the condo was nice. I would highly recommend it for a couple, but adding two young kids (1 & 2) made things a bit cramped. We ran into a couple minor issues regarding TV and linens, but Elizabeth was quick to respond and resolve the problems. We were aware in advance that there was only one real bed so there's nobody to blame but ourselves for trying to fit a family of four. Our time there was wonderful and I would consider returning in 18 years with my lovely wife once kids are out of the house!

This ground floor apartment was just perfect. We had fruit, chocolates, coffee as a gift for us upon arrival. The apartment is not large, but very comfortable for 2 persons. It is just steps away from the barbecue area, wich made it easy for us, to make use of the outdoor gas grill.
Shoreline and beach also only steps away and since it is an ground floor location, first thing in the morning we took our coffee and went outside to watch turtles, dolphins or mantarays. Wonderful!
Kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need, all very well organized, tidy and absolutely clean. We were very impressed. The property is nicely decorated, with wooden turtles and local paintings on walls.
Small disadvantage was, that there is seating facility for only one person on lanai, but this deckchair was very comfortable.
Overall we loved our stay at Kihei #108 and deeply regret that we could not stay longer!
We absolutely can recommend it and hopefully we will be back soon!

We had the best stay at the Kihei Surfside. The location is wonderful, and being on the ground floor we were able to just let our 10-month old crawl right out onto the grass from the Lanai. The views are spectacular and the condo has everything you could want (except a coffee to-go mug if we are being super picky!). The beach is an easy two minute walk away, the pool is nice and warm, and the bed - oh the bed! - is to die for. I've never slept better on vacation. Elizabeth always got back to me incredibly quickly whenever I had a question and was always gracious and accommodating. It was truly a perfect stay for my family on the beautiful island of Maui. Thank you, Elizabeth!!!
