Once again Kihei Sands is our place to stay when we visit Maui. It is a small resort that is well taken care of. Beautiful Sugar beach is steps away. When in season you can see whales from shore and turtles will pop their heads up. It's a short walk to the ABC store and the farmers market. We couldn't find anything to criticize. We will definitely return later this year.

This is our third trip to Maui this year! We stay at Kihei Sands Unit A3. When you open the front door your jaw drops. It is a beautiful, clean, classy 1 bedroom 1 bath family room dinning room and kitchen with a beautiful lanai. The bed is extremely comfortable and the condo is furnished with everything you need. Even a hair dryer!!! Your condo front door is less than 200 feet from the 8 mile long Sugar Beach. Sunsets at night are breathtaking. You are close to all beaches, cafes, fine dining, shops, downtown Kihei and the best Shave Ice!! The manager Connie on the property is so kind and helpful. The grounds are always clean and meticulously maintained. Parking is easy as they have a lot big enough fur all guests! I highly recommend staying in Unit A3, it is my home away from home. Mahalo to the owners for sharing with all of us.

Where do I begin. Several family members traveled to Maui and stayed at Kihei Sands. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and was even able to check in early. The condo was clean, spacious and the kitchen was very well stocked. The view from B9 was incredible. Highly recommend this unit. As a family, we all met on the patio for morning coffee. We listened to the ocean and enjoyed the warm weather and breezes. In the evenings we would gather again for a BBQ or potluck dinner. This time watching the incredible sunsets and even star gazing. The owner and manager were always accessible and extremely accommodating. We could not have asked for more. Kihei Sands is located right next door to Sugar Beach Events. The perfect place to stay if attending a wedding. The property was always clean and very well maintained. Our whole experience at Kihei Sands was truly magical. If we are ever fortunate enough to visit Maui again, we will definitely be staying at Kihei Sands. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

The space out front by the pool and bbq's is really conducive to meeting new people and having great conversations. We stayed in A8 right in the front. There was a great lanai to sit and enjoy the views and the the common sitting area is perfect. The pool is right in front of our condo and it can get a little busy at peak times but we enjoyed all the excitment and meeting folks. It was very quiet at night and we had excellent sleeps in the comfy king bed. The condo kitchen was well stocked for meal prep...good knives and every gadget and dish you need. We were there for the annual Thanksgiving buffet which was incredible. Thank you to the hosts esp Patrick and Connie for all that hard work! Can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I wanted to extend our stay on Maui after his educational seminar. This place was just what we were looking for. It is a small property (only 30 units) with the one bedroom on the ground floor and the two bedroom on the second level. We were less than a minute's walk to the pool, and another minute to the beach. You can walk to dinner and limited shopping.
The kitchen had all the appliances and utensils you could ever need. There were explicit instructions on how to use the tv, shower, etc along with suggestions of places to eat, shop, and visit. We met some of the unit owners and felt welcomed into their 'community'. We will definitely stay there again!

This is the best location for direct beach access. The rental is right on the beach and the pool looks over the beach. The host was very friendly. The property is bigger than the pictures. It fit our family of 4 perfectly. The only issue we had was we received a complaint about the kids running around too early in the morning which is very noisy for the condo below us. We tried very hard to keep the noise down, but with the time change the kids are up so early that maybe not the best condo to stay in with small children if they are early risers.

This trip was the first time I had ever taken a vacation by myself, and I felt incredibly safe and welcomed by the other guests and condo owners. The ability to mingle if I felt like it (fantastic conversations) or sit in quiet and enjoy the sun, sound of the ocean waves and the beauty of Maui was wonderful. The facility is well cared for and my condo was welcoming, beautifully outfitted and peaceful. I would most definitely return and stay in unit B11. The master bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was present onsite, helpful and courteous. The location was also great for getting to various areas around the island with it being centrally located. The walk down the beach to Sugar Beach Bakery is also an enjoyable way to start the day. I would also recommend dining at Nalu's in Kihei! Fantastic food and excellent service! Thank you to the owners of B11 for a wonderful and safe place to stay!!

It was a great base to get to all of the attractions we wanted to experience while there. Every morning there was coffee for everyone to enjoy on the patio and chat with other Kihei residents. Every evening was "happy hour" with many of the same residents who were so inclusive and friendly. They were quick to offer suggestions for us to consider beyond what we already had planned. The Kihei Sands Beachfront Condominiums was a perfect spot for us. The beach was easily walkable and swimming in the ocean was awesome as there was a long transition before it got deeper than my chest. Overall, this spot rates a "10" in my mind.

My wife and I stayed at this property for a short period before going to a larger resort for the rest of our stay in Maui.
This location is so comfortable and homey. It's right next to the beach which is super nice. The property is stocked with everything you may need. I was pleasantly surprised when I went out in the morning to watch the sunrise and I saw the property makes coffee and tea in the morning for all of the guests.
Lastly, the host was so nice and flexible when I needed to shorten my stay by 1 day. I would definitely recommend staying here for your trip to Maui!

There were six of us who stayed at this condo and we were very pleased with our stay here. The condo is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We were so close to the beach and the patio area was so very nice to spend the mornings and evenings viewing the beach. The beds are comfy and was just enough room for all of us. The only complaint we have is the upstairs loft would have been better if there was a solid wall instead of open. Sound traveled up and down and sometimes it was hard to hear the TV downstairs when the TV upstairs was on. Other than that, it was a wonderful place to stay. We recommend it!

What a wonderful place to stay!! So close to the water, the beds were comfortable, the people who worked there were lovely and we were so close to so much! I loved it. We had both of the water front second story units and I could not have been happier. Two small complaints. The first was the one of the owners/neighbors was doing construction on his bathroom and would start with saws and hammers at 7am every morning. Second was that they put out coffee in the courtyard in front around 6:30am which should have been lovely except that meant a bunch of people talking loudly in front of our windows. Everything was perfect t about these two condos with the exception of getting woken up between 6:30-7am every morning while on vacay...that was not awesome.

I cannot say enough good things about Kihei Sands. This was our second stay (our first was 5 years ago in unit A6) and we were again overwhelmed with how perfect everything was. It is truly a little slice of paradise with such an intimate feel thanks to the small number of units, can't be beat access to the beach, and all the amenities needed for a perfect beach vacation. We had an amazing week-long stay and are already counting down the days until we can make our way back again. I recommend Kihei Sands to everyone I know heading to Hawaii, as I know there is no other condo unit or resort that can beat it. Truly a one of a kind find that we are so grateful for. Thirty seconds from the condo to the ocean. It doesn't get any better. The place was super clean, Connie was very responsive when contacted. Plenty of towels provided. No spices and/or staples are kept in the kitchen so bring your own. I'm sure this is to help keep the bug population down and they've done a great job. We stayed here for 6 amazing days for our wedding anniversary. Check in was smooth. Communication with Elen was great and informative. The condo is a short drive to the area in Kihei that has all the foods and shops. You can hear the ocean waves from the lanai and the beach is only steps away. We had trouble finding parking one night but was able to get into one after waiting not too long.

The location is awful....the pool is tiny...the beach is one of the worst in Kihei. The units are dated looking and the carpeting in the outdoor hallways are dirty. The balcony fits two people. The living room seats 3 people. Very small living area and dining area. The complimentary beach chairs and water toys are dirty and old. We literally walked in and started searching other places to stay. We ended up paying to stay somewhere else, even though we could not get a refund here.

This was a wonderful stay for us! Beautiful condo beach front it was an amazing view! Very clean property and well maintained pool on site was very clean. Management on site Connie was so very helpful to us and answered ALL of our questions and they are on site most of the day even give you their personal phone numbers if there is an emergency after hours so that was a great feeling to have someone always there to help! Our most fun moment would have to be the Calypso snorkel tour it was amazing and if you go you have to do it! Lava Rock was our favorite restaurant we ate there 3 times and it's only 10 mins away from the condo- best food and atmosphere ever! I highly recommend this condo recently updated and very clean!

Overall it was a nice place to stay. Plenty of dishware, towels, paper towels, etc... The AC was ok but struggled to keep up during the day. The beds were comfortable and the view is nice. The condo is a little dated and there's a thick layer of dust in some areas but it's right on the beach and a comparable price.

Have always stayed in Kaanapali - but things had to be a little different this year. This place in Kihei was very nice - beautiful view of the ocean from the patio. Pictures make the unit look a little larger than it actually is - but overall a great new place to stay😊

The unit was perfect and the amenities were just what we needed. The property is perfect for two couples traveling together. The end unit views of the ocean at any time of day was worth the extra cost, waking up in the morning looking out the bedroom windows to palm trees and beach/ocean is the very reason we came to visit Maui. Building is well maintained and really enjoyed the common beach front outdoor area w/pool. A real hidden gem amongst high rise condos. Love the more cozy/homey feel of the two story building. We would love to escape the Alaska cold and stay again.

We had the most amazing time at Kihei Sands unit A6. Elen was an amazing host. She gave us a welcome packet with all the information that was needed for our stay including things to do and places to go/eat. The unit was very clean and has everything you could need. The location was beautiful/perfect. It was amazing being able walk out of the unit and be right on the beach.
We are hopeful to return in the future. Perfect for our honeymoon. A trip that we will always remember.

Wonderful family vacation. Drove the Road to Hana and to Haleakala for the sunset view, through the clouds. Came out near the top to blue skies and a brilliant sunset above the clouds. Both well worth the drives!

I spent a week at Kihei Sands with my youngest son and two grandsons in unit B9. It was our first time on Maui and we had a wonderful experience. Staying at Kihei Sands was a huge part of that wonderful experience on Maui. The staff was very responsive via email prior to us coming out, especially with my concerns regarding the recent fires. We will definitely return to Kihei Sands on our next trip to Maui!

While I only spent one night here, I will cancel future plans and come back to this little slice of paradise! Nowhere else on island compares to being right on the water and only a few steps to the beach from each and every condo. Look no further for the perfect place for spending time with friends and family. My only regret is that I didn't find this gorgeous property sooner! Staff has decades of experience on island, and is eager to share their knowledge - bonus!

Kihei Sands is just like I remembered it from as far back as my first stay in 1978. While the property has withstood the tests of time, it has always been well updated, clean and neat, very well managed and a super friendly place with a spectacular view. It is very central on the island of Maui just far enough tawau from the airport and a great base for all of the day trips on Maui. We were there Aug 8th when Lahaina burned and there were many other fires nearby. Our hearts go out to the people of Maui! But, you should know that Kihei Sands was not affected directly and continues operations during recovery. I would go back anytime! There is so much of Maui that was not affected. Maui depends on tourism. Support Kihei Sands by keeping your booking or making one. You won’t be disappointed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Kihei Sands. We were at first nervous to come to Maui after the catastrophe. When we spoke to Connie and Patrick, they assured us that we would be safe. They were reassuring and so we made our decision to come. I told Connie my cousin on the island was affected by the fires. Her response was ‘tell him to come join YOU’. Everything was perfect. Our condo was lovely n so we’ll located. When we had an issue with our internet, Patrick came quickly to the rescue. Just a wonderful time spent in Maui and a big part of it was because of the staff n condo at Kihei Sands. Will recommend this place to anyone we know who is travelling to Maui.

Overall our stay was very good. The condo was well appointed. A suggestion I would make is to replace all of the teflon pans as they are badly worn and no doubt leaching chemicals into food.Also, this is nothing that the condo owners can fix, but there was a stench outside on several of the days we were there so bad that it kept me from enjoying the outdoors. I asked multiple sources about the origin but the only one that made sense to me is it's coming from the sewage treatment plant down the road. For this reason, I wouldn't stay in Kihei again.

Our stay was fantastic. The condo is located in Kihei which is convenient to most areas on the island. It’s sits right on Sugar Beach which is beautiful but not a high traffic beach and the beach/ocean are mere steps from the property. Located on the north end of Kihei there are a number of restaurants and shops within a 10-15 minute drive. The unit has AC which is nice when the temps and humidity start to rise. There are communal grills in the courtyard and the kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and spices. Definitely check the kitchen before buying a bunch of stuff at the grocery store as it was more stocked than we anticipated. There were beach chairs and a cooler in the unit for us to use as well as shared pool noodles and boogie boards under the stairs. The water was calm in the mornings but the trade winds would pick up between noon and 4-5pm and the ocean could get a bit rough. After about 5pm it would start to calm down again. Swimming/lounging in the ocean was wonderful, but the good snorkeling spots in the southern area are roughly 15-20 minutes away. The office staff were very pleasant, though the only time we really needed to interact with them is when our fish was delivered (fresh fish Maui) and when we returned the parking pass. Overall we highly recommend Kihei Sands and would definitely return to this property.

We liked being so close to the beach. Also, it was nice to be in a small complex that wasn’t crowded. Our property manager responded quickly when there was an issue with the tv and internet, which we appreciated. My only suggestion would be that the sofa and rugs need to be cleaned. We stayed at Kihei Sands B6 in July 2023. The location was centrally located to reach all our Maui adventures from sport fishing out of Maalaea with Rascal, snorkeling out of Makena Landing, Trilogy catamaran sailing from Kaanapali Beach, and sunrise at Haleakala National Park. The condo was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare the fish that was caught during the fishing trip. Everything was exactly as described. It was very comfortable for our teenagers to sleep with the separate twin beds. We thoroughly enjoyed waking up every morning and walking along Sugar Beach and stopping by the Sugar Beach Bakery for some masaladas and banana bread. Would definitely recommend B-6 for a comfortable stay at Sugar Beach, Maui.

This cozy little unit had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean and close to everything. It's in the perfect location. It also sits on the most beautiful beach. It feels more secluded since it's a smaller condo complex. Much more enjoyable than a huge resort. We loved grilling on the community patio. The grills were always clean and ready to go. I 100% recommend a stay at this beautiful condo. Oh and the plants all around the grounds are stunning. You will not be disappointed.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The condo was clean, convenient, and cozy. It’s situated on the most beautiful beach. At times it was like having our own private beach. Didn’t have to fight the crowds. Loved that we could walk a few places. When we did drive, I felt the condo was in a convenient location. We were content most of time time to just sit at the pool and play on the beach. Connie, the property manager, went above and beyond for us. She is such an asset for Kihei Sands. We would definitely stay again!

This place is a hidden gem. Our second time staying at this condo, which is clean, quiet and comfortable. Anything you might need is in the condo. Great location in the particular condo complex, private and away from the activity at the pool and on the patio. But just step out your door and you have coffee in the morning and a walk on the beach! Back door is easy access to the pool! We will be back!
