The facility was lovely and the location to the beach was excellent. This condo was clean and well stocked for cooking, towels, and beach supplies. Breakfast on the lanai was quiet and relaxing, just what we were looking for. While this property is located in a resort-style complex, the unit is managed by a separate property management company. If there are problems with the unit, the separate property manager is the contact for repairs. Normally this wouldn't be a problem except that we DID have problems and the property manager was unresponsive. Upon arriving, we discovered that we master shower did not drain properly. After a short shower, I was left standing in nearly 2" of water. We tried to solve the problem ourselves with a plunger but that didn't work. I sent a message to the manager via VRBO right away. I received an automated response saying my message was important and they'd respond to my inquiry as soon as possible. I had no response. We called on Saturday morning and were told a request would be put in. No one showed up. In addition to half of the outlets not working properly, the Microwave did not work. We tried to troubleshoot by checking breakers and more outlets without success. We tried 4 times to reach out via the VRBO app and telephone; we finally got a response from the property manager at noon on our last day. They did offer a credit back, with an apology, which we appreciate, but quick response to the issues would also have been preferred

This is a stunning condo! It comfortably accommodated our family of 5. We spent a great deal of time on the lanai each day watching the sunset. The grounds beautiful! We spent time at the pool nearly everyday. There was several grills on property. Kam 3 beach is directly across the street. There are many beaches just a few minutes away. I would highly recommed this place!

Thank you for sharing your home, we really enjoyed our stay for our 16th wedding anniversary. Perfect location to many benches, including the one right across the street! Walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping. The bbq grills were so convenient. We met so many people in the complex every night at the pool, everyone was so friendly. The only suggestion would be is update the kitchen essentials. Owner/manager very responsive. Can't wait to go back. Mahalo!

This condo was in the perfect location! Literal steps from Kam III and a very short drive to Wailea & Mākena Beach. Kihei has your quintessential Hawaii vibe with lots of shops & restaurants. Everything is walking distance from the condo or a very quick drive. We had a wonderful stay at this Maui condo! The location is fantastic—right across from Kamaole Beach III, which quickly became our favorite spot to relax, swim, and even spot sea turtles. It’s also conveniently close to shops and restaurants, making everything easy and accessible.The condo itself was clean, spacious, and very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, and the beds were super comfortable. The layout was perfect for our family of four, and having the second bedroom and bathroom up in the loft was a huge plus, offering extra privacy and space.One of our favorite touches was the inclusion of beach chairs, an umbrella, and a wagon—such a thoughtful detail that made beach days effortless. The complex also has a small pool, a jacuzzi, a gym, and BBQ grills—great options for winding down after a day out.The management team was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The only minor suggestion would be to offer a bit more bathroom supplies for longer stays, but honestly, that’s a small detail in an otherwise fantastic experience.Overall, this was a great home base for our Maui vacation, and we would absolutely stay here again!

We have stayed at Kamaole Sands numerous times. This location is by far one of the best. The lanai is large and provides a beautiful view of the landscaped property as well as a small view of the ocean. The lanai is shaded morning and evening allowing for morning coffees and evening dinners. The condo was well stocked with pans and appliances needed to cook meals. Can’t say enough about having such a good set of knives as well! Overall the condo was clean and great for a family of four.

The condo was beautiful and in a great location. So close to so much. Kitchen had all that we needed. Was so glad for a 2nd bathroom while travelling with a teenage girl! The condo came with a lot of beach chairs, a wagon to haul them with and a couple of beach towels. There were also some toys and flippers for the littles. The complex was so well maintained. Beautiful!We had amazing communication with all involved. The only negative I have is the cushions on the wicker furniture. Very thin and not the most comfortable.I would highly recommend this unit.Thank you!!

We had a great week long visit to Maui. This condo was a perfect home base for all of our adventures. The grounds of the condo are beautiful and the poolIs a great place to relax in the afternoon when you are done with beach time. You are within walking distance to many restaurants and beaches, with short drives if you don’t want to walk. The condo is clean, with updated appliances, should you want to use the kitchen. Check the outdoor storage before you go buy any beach stuff. Everything you need is there…chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, coolers, etc. We left our brand new gear there for future guests. The owner and property management were responsive to an A/C issue, providing a portable unit when the wall unit failed. The owner also provided a cooler for us when we asked in advance of our trip.

This 3rd floor unit had an awesome view and was really nice and quiet! It also got a good trade-wind breeze and we didn’t even need the A/C — even in midsummer! The unit was also well-supplied with everything we needed and had nice, modern appliances, and was tastefully decorated. This was our fourth stay in Kamaole Sands, and this was by far the BEST and most updated of all the units we have stayed in. We would certainly stay in this unit again! This unit is very nice. Updated and well furnished with all the kitchen supplies needed when dining in. The sleeping arrangements are good. We used the murphy bed and the foam mattress is quite comfortable. The corner balcony is very nice as well. Nice setup for hanging out and eating. We landed very early and when I reached out about an early check-in, the host was quick to respond and able to accommodate the request, which was greatly appreciated! This is our 4th time staying at Kamole Sands and was another great experience. It is great location on the island. So many great beaches nearby. I would definitely stay again at this unit.

There are a handful of things that were top priorities as we planned this trip to Maui--enough bedrooms and bathrooms for our family of 5; a pool; a short walk to the beach; and great outdoor space. That doesn't seem like much, but my 12/14/17 yo kids are picky! Choosing to stay in Kihei was our first best decision, which was closely followed by staying at this property! We LOVED everything about this location--the first floor may coming and going (to car, to pool, to beach) SO easy. The condo was fully furnished with everything we could have needed in every room. It very quickly felt like "our place". We really appreciated having 2 outdoor spaces to relax--both for early mornings and late afternoons. The grounds of the property are beautiful, clean, and well kept, and all of the staff were so kind and helpful. The location made it an easy drive to every part of the island, and walking on S. Kihei felt very safe. We can't wait to go back!

The condo was spacious and was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 2 children 4ys and 10yrs old. The air conditioners work well and the ceiling fans in the bedrooms were a very nice addtion. It was well stocked with cups, glasses, and all the other dishes and silverware, although it was oddly short on spoons. There was a nice supply of beach chairs and sand toys for the kids. There is a great grassy area outside the lani which was utilized very much and better than having a small balcony on an upper floor. Only a 3 or 4 minute walk to the beach and 2 minute walk to the pool. Overall a great place and we highly recommend it.

This property is really wonderful! It is updated, spacious, clean and well-stocked! It was a nice surprise to have kitchen staples and laundry supplies. We appreciated the wagon, umbrellas and beach chairs too! The location makes it easy to walk to the beach (literally across the street!) and drive to highlights of the island. The airport is 1/2 hour away and the coasts are each an hour - so this is centrally located! The resort is nice and has helpful staff. Check in and check out were easy as well! We would book another trip here!

Pros - Immaculate, updated space, abundant quality kitchenware and appliances, ample supplies and extras, comfortable beds, tastefully decorated, separate and effective air conditioning and ceiling fan in each room, zero insects, easy maintenance, good layout, excellent location - across the street from a great swimming beach, walking distance to another, 5-10 min drive to luxurious Wailea beaches, shops and restaurants or less expensive Kihei ones, along with supermarkets and convenience stores. Complex pool, game area and exercise room are clean and pleasant, grounds are well-maintained. Good value compared to other Kihei options.Cons - Lack of privacy due to windows looking on building walkways in second bedroom, kitchen and foyer causing us to keep shades closed at night. Front door has a clear glass panel that should be frosted. We were given just over two weeks notice of ongoing daytime construction in closed parking lot, which prevented ADA access to elevator, necessitating use of stairs and parking 100 yards away. Entrance to building stairs was blocked by a covered, parked car that never moved for our entire stay - this car should have been relocated during construction for the convenience of residents and guests.The parking lot situation was annoying but not enough to knock off a star from our rating as everyone in our party was quite satisfied overall. Highly recommended!

We had a minor issue with the A/C in the master bedroom, but the property management was responsive. My only suggestion, for this and all VRBO’s, is blackout curtains in ALL bedrooms! We would definitely stay here again.

We were very happy with our stay at this condo! This is our second time at Kamaole Sands, but our first time in this unit. This unit is nicely updated. It was also nice having a real second bedroom, as opposed to a loft bedroom in the other unit we stayed at. The beach closet was well stocked with towels, chairs, a cooler, boogie boards and sand toys. Kitchen had everything we needed, plus more! There was some construction happening at the property, but we personally didn't notice anything that detracted from our stay. We would stay in this unit again.

The condo was very nice and the the grounds were maintained and very clean. Pool area and exercise room were great and I’ve never stayed in a place that cleaned the BBQ grills so well every day. There is a nice beach right across the street and restaurants within walking distance. We loved sitting on the lanai in the morning with a view of the ocean to the right and the hills to the left.
