I cannot recommend this condo and Kamaole Sands in general enough. The condo was perfect all the amenities were there it was really well stocked with pantry items, soaps, toilet paper, paper towels etc. there was lots of beach gear and extra large beach towels. The furniture was so comfortable the lanai was amazing. The resort is so clean and beautifully landscaped the pools and hot tubs were excellent and the BBQ were clean and in good working order! We cannot wait to come back and book this condo next time. Staff were so friendly and helpful and it was a quick walk to a stunning beach

This unit worked perfectly for us! Parents and two boys, they each got their own bed and so close to the pool. The deck is a little larger than some and that was good too. The pool areas is awesome and we really enjoyed the hula show and live music. Some of the beach gear could use replacing or removing, but the best is the wagon!

Generally, everything was decent. The shades in the bedroom don’t do a good job of blocking light from the exterior, which stays on all night. The unit needs a thorough cleaning, as there’s a reasonably thick layer of dust on secondary surfaces like decorations, picture frames, and corners. The beach towels had stains, and there was hair behind the bedroom's connected bathroom. I blame this more on the poor cleaning staff than anything else. The host was responsive and very accommodating. It’s a nicely renovated unit, and I think with some extra work on cleanliness and presentation, it could be on another level. The wifi way faster then needed and the host could save money downgrading to a 200mb plan, the current plan is over 600mb (enough for 12 people in a medium sized office).

The unit was really very nice. It had a lot of good beach gear including a wagon. To start our stay, we got a message when we landed that the a/c wasn’t working, and the alternate accommodations they offered were not acceptable for us(we had other family staying here). So to start our vacation we had to vacate this unit for the repairmen. Also, the building was under renovations which included many loud noises around and above us all day. The “assigned” parking was nonexistent and we had to park on the other side of the complex, or a building and a half away and transport our luggage and groceries a long way. It would have been nice to have information.

The condo has everything you would need inside it. It’s cozy and comfortable. This condo complex has a beautiful courtyard and pool area in the centre with 10 surrounding buildings. I assumed all buildings bordered the courtyard, but this condo does not overlook the courtyard/pool area. It is in the second row. Instead there is a small ocean view from the lanai. When we arrived they didn’t have 2 boogie boards. After notifying the local representative they did order 2 more so hopefully the next guests benefit from them. We were offered a kayak trip instead which was great. The cooler was also missing but we had our own. We did not get quick responses from the local representative but he did eventually get back to us. Construction was occurring in the parking lot and in the next condo beside us, but they were considerate enough to not start too early or go too late. We were glad to be gone during the day as it could get loud. My kids enjoyed the pool noodles and sand toys. No air conditioning in the bedroom but 2 fans did the trick to keep the room cool enough. Our departure flight was leaving late in the day and the owner was gracious enough to give us a late checkout which was so helpful and appreciated. Overal Maui is a beautiful place and worth going to.

Everything about this place was perfect. The bed was super comfy with nice linens and beach towels. The condo had everything you could think of and more. Very nicely appointed with all the spices you need. The couch was very comfortable and clean and the overall place was nice and clean. Loved the big screen TVs to watch our football. The hosts deserve 5 stars for their attention to detail. Loved the welcome basket and toiletries that were available to us. They were very welcoming and concerned about our comfort at all times. We will definitely be back. Our best stay at the Sands so far.

We loved everything about the unit. Central AC was great! We will look for this unit when we are back on Maui. The only issue was the master bath shower doors. They need to be replaced. They are very difficult to open and close and you can’t have both doors fully closed all the way so it lets cold air into the shower. Very nice, quiet, updated unit.

This is a wonderful complex and a very nice unit. It had everything you might need while on vacation. We loved the quick walk to the beach and pool area. Host provided excellent communication and check in was very easy. Just a quick note that the second pullout bed in the living room is very firm and we found it uncomfortable. It would also be nice if there were drapes in the living room, so it wouldn’t be so bright in the morning. The host did double check with us on booking that we were aware of the bed situation, I just couldn’t find any other reviews about whether the pull out bed was comfortable or not.Overall an lovely trip.

This is a cozy and super comfortable rental, that is a little dated. It could use some love (replacing the primary bathroom faucet, replacing the tired beach chairs), but that overall we were super impressed with this place and can see ourselves staying here again. We loved how QUIET this unit was. We felt like the only ones in the building! Our family of 3 had plenty of space with the pull out couch. We made good use of the washer/dryer, and loved the walkout area of grass (full of Geckos!) right off the Lanai. It had everything we needed for a family that spends all day at the beach or out exploring, and is in a great location.We come yearly to Kihei, and we think this complex may be our new favorite. The pool area is very nice, it's a super quick walk to Kam 3, and the BBQ areas area all very clean (and one is right around the corner from this unit).Our first day, I commented on how nice the BBQs were, and then they were literally replaced with even nicer brand new units the next day! Love seeing that much love put into the grounds. We're hoping this unit can be our go-to unit whenever we need a one bedroom!

The unit was a real treat! This is a ground floor, end unit with great views to the ocean, the beaches and also a wonderfully landscaped green common area. Our daughter's family loved having the beach just a few steps away (across a street with low traffic volume). Great location, maybe the best in the entire Kamaole Sands development. The unit itself was very livable and comfortable for six people (four adults and two kids).For us, this was an ideal location. We were re-visiting this part of Maui to celebrate our daughter and son-in-law's 21st wedding anniversary. They were married south of this location in the Keawala'i Congregational Church in Makena. Overall, a great visit and stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful time once again at Kamaole Sands. The condo was well-appointed, spotless, and beautifully decorated with a "beachy" theme. Sleeping was a dream on the comfy king bed with soft sheets and the sofa was comfortable as well for those moments when you needed a snooze. We appreciated the plush bath towels as well as the large beach towels, making it feel like home. Along with the Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrella were boogie boards and a cooler. Breakfast on the lanai was a treat seeing the ocean in the distance, and we looked forward to dinners on the lanai with the tropical sunset. With the pool, hottub, gym, and beach across the road, what more could you ask for. Our host was amazing! He was easy to reach and always communicated quickly and efficiently. Our first trip to Maui was amazing in large part due to the great property that Annette has. Kamaole Beach was a short and very convenient walk from the property. On this beach, we were visited by turtles in the water almost every day, and it is close to a wonderful snorkeling spot. The unit was located in the middle of the complex with a great view of the pool (which we used most days). We made good use of the kitchen and washer/dryer to feel right at home. The property is very well maintained, spacious, and felt very clean. We are excited to return to Maui in the future and will be staying at this place again!

This condo was great for my husband, daughter and I. It was very comfortable and well equipped. We wanted to be oceanfront, but this was a good compromise to get the most things we wanted out of our vacation rental while still being super close to the beach. Comfortable accommodations (king size bed was very comfy novaform mattress, and even the twin Murphy beds were comfortable enough.) The kitchen had everything we needed, including some plastic snap ware which is super handy for packing beach lunches! There were a few minor things that came up and the rental agent Matt promptly replied to my early morning email and came to fix the items while we were out that day. The grounds at Kamaole Sands were well kept and beautiful, and we enjoyed swimming in the pool. The beach towels were a nice bonus, though we usually bring a few of our own, this meant we always had fresh towels. My only suggestion would be that the gray bath towels are swapped for white so they can be bleached between guests. The bath towels had that funky towel smell to them as soon as they get wet.
