If i had one complaint, very minor, it would be the size of the garbage can😂 A 30 gallon can that fits the trash bags would be way more convenient. But this definitely would not detour me from staying here again.

Our family of 4 spent Christmas at Kam Sands and it was our 5th time at the resort and first one in this unit. The unit was spotless and complete with everything you could possibly need. The view from the deck was wonderful both during sunrise and sunset. This building was set back from the busy Kihei road and made the traffic noise non existent, The location within Kihei is great for walking to restaurants, groceries or to the beach. Do not hesitate to book this beautiful property for your next visit to Maui. We won’t!

We had a great time! Great location, easy parking. Beds were comfortable and AC worked well. Wish the Kitchen was better equipped- no large pots or grilling spatula and pans were a bit scratched up. Condo staff were not very friendly but nice amenities in the complex.

Great stay. Beautiful area right by an incredible beach with great sand and snorkeling. House was furnished very well with lots of kitchen extras and even some seasonings and spices, which we really appreciated. The A/C worked great and house stayed perfect temp the whole time. Best complex in all of Kihei. Centralized amenities and spacious condos with easy access to the beach. Building 9 is not located directly adjacent to the amenities, but a very easy walk to the pool, tennis courts, grills and green space.

We would book this condo again in a heartbeat! The condo was clean and comfortable. It had everything you need and more, from beach stuff to kitchen stuff. The air conditioning was cold in both the living room and bedroom. The whole complex is a great place to stay. We have been here multiple times, and this would be the condo I would choose 10 out of 10 times.

Adequately appointed unit. Sliding glass doors and sliding screen were stiff and required 2 hands to operate. Screen door on main door would stick when closed, so we decided not to use it. Shower faucet also difficult to turn on/off.

Another wonderful stay in Maui at another Kamaole Sands condo. Property owner, Ted was great to work with as he always has been for us over the years. So prompt in responding to any questions or problems that we have needed to work through. This time it was shortening our trip by a little due to our daughter’s health.
The condo was furnished nicely with all of the extras that any beach going-family would want, boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, etc. If your family loves pool time you can leave this condo and be to the pool in less than one minute. Having an AC unit in the master bedroom along with the family room area where the kids slept at night was very nice. Kamaole is definitely our home away from home!

Overall a nice place. My only issue is that the only upgrade was to the kitchen which was very nice as in photos. The home smelled a little musty as if it had been closed up for a long time or there had been water damage. Once we aired it out it seemed fine. The electrical is original and there are several extension cords all over which would be unsafe for children. I wanted to point this out for others that rely on honest reviews.

The bed was very comfortable, we really liked having two separate bathrooms. The kitchen was very well equipped and had just about every gadget you could think of. The quality of the amenities was excellent. Bob and Lindy were very attentive and checked in with us to ensure everything was okay. The welcome goodies were a nice touch. Well organized, decorated, and comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms have all the amenities one might need, even though we packed in everything because other places are not so accommodating.
Washer and dryer in the condo made our stay even nicer.
Patio has a table with 4 chairs and a chaise. It overlooks several fountains and 2 lagoons. Fountains automatically turn off at night to prevent sleep disturbance.
Our hosts even provided welcoming gifts. Soooo thoughtful.
Any problems will be dealt with immediately as the owner stay much of the year in the same complex, which is very comforting.

This unit is located right off the elevator (convenient) and the trash chute. Although there are posted quiet hours, they are not adhered to by your neighbors. This place is small and although the owner replaced the washer/dryer unit after it flooded the hallway, they said they would refund our cost for laundry at the laundromat and they have not. For the money, this place was a roof over our head, but not much else. Great location close to the beach, but horrible view. And the wifi is only good in the front room... absolutely no connectivity in the back room. It says it sleeps six, but not sure where since there's a king bed and a queen pullout. Sadly, most of these things aren't in the control of the owner, but their poor response for a credit/refund due the broken washer was something I haven't experienced with a vrbo rental before.

This is absolutely a great property in an excellent location. The condo is very roomy and open with very nice updates all around. The property itself is very nice with excellent amenities which we fully enjoyed. Location is great, across the street from a nice uncrowded beach, along a business street full of local shops & eateries. The owner, Susan, is great very professional and excellent at communicating upfront expectations and helpful insight. This made our family's Christmas holiday a joy.

The property was very nice. Check in was odd. The front desk was entirely unwelcoming and told us they had nobody by our name staying there. My 83 year old mother had a friend from home send flowers as a welcome surprise. The flowers were at the front desk and it was actually a hassle to get the flowers. It was sad to feel unwelcome upon our arrival.

We enjoyed our stay at the Kamoele Sands resort. This unit was as advertised, and had all the amenities. We enjoyed the Lanai. The instructions were great and kitchen was well stocked. The floors could use a good scrub, but likely due to the windows being open and the wind carrying dust in.
The resort was great… the pool and grounds well kept, BBQ areas maintained well, and staff friendly and ready to assist. Thanks for the hospitality and we’ll look to book again if our travels take us back to Maui.

The 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit is awesome. It is equipped with everything you need. The cooling system is great. All furniture and beds were comfortable. My daughters and granddaughter walked to the beach every day. You can’t go wrong with this unit. Just know that Maui is expensive in every way. This unit was the least expensive of similar units in this complex. Loved it!!!

Our family of 5 recently stayed in this unit for 10 nights. We had a great stay! We loved the keyless entry to the unit. We never had to worry about taking keys to the beach or pool.
We had our 3 young children stay in lower bedroom and appreciated having sleeper chair bed. We had a very comfortable king bed upstairs.
There were instructions about the air conditioning units, but we actually ended up not needing to reset them as they kept us comfortable at the higher setting at night. We did not use during the day as the unit stays comfortably cool with the breeze.
The unit was very well equipped! From kitchen Tupperware to beach chairs and towels, coolers, boogie boards …you name it and it was there.
We have stayed at Kamaole Sands in other units multiple times before and have always loved the amenities. The pool and hot tubs are a favourite and there is easy access to a family-friendly beach with lifeguard across the street. We also always use the tennis courts and the kids can take a free lesson once a week (although this time it was canceled due to rain). The view from this unit allows you to appreciate the beautifully maintained grounds and gardens. It was decorated for Christmas and we loved the big tree and all the lights!
We weren’t sure what to expect visiting Maui after the devastating fires in Lahaina. We ended up having a wonderful trip and tried to support the local businesses as much as we could during our stay.
