This Hanalei condo exceeded our expectations. The location is ideal—close to both pools, with great on-site restaurants and a variety of fun activities offered throughout the week. The walk to and from the beach is beautiful, and the availability of golf carts made getting around even easier—especially appreciated since I was traveling with my mom who has mobility challenges.For those who enjoy a little adventure, there’s also a great trail down to Hideaways Beach right next to 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay, which made the stay feel even more special.Each morning was truly breathtaking—sipping coffee with sweeping views and listening to the birds made for such a peaceful start to the day.I stayed with my mother and my three adult kids, and the condo worked perfectly for our group, offering both comfort and space for everyone to relax.The condo itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it a perfect, relaxing getaway. Mia was very responsive and provided excellent customer service, which made everything seamless from start to finish.It’s also conveniently located near Foodland for easy grocery runs—definitely try their poke! Plus, it’s just a short 15-minute drive to Hanalei town, which is absolutely beautiful and offers great restaurants, shave ice, and local shopping.We would absolutely stay here again.

This was our 12th visit to the islands and Hanalei Bay Resort is by far the most beautiful place we have stayed! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The entire resort was well cared for. We loved our stay here. The condo location was in a quiet area of the resort with the best view - EVER. It is difficult to put into words how beautiful the sunrises and sunsets are from the lanai. The condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Without any buildings below the lanai, there is a clear view of the landscape plus a bird sanctuary right below. The path down to the beach is close and we spent many happy hours enjoying sun, sand and water. The resort golf cart rides were handy to get back up from the beach. We hope to return and would choose this condo again.

The owner responded promptly to questions. The condo was accurately described in the listing. It is a little dated, but the view and deck were spectacular. A perfect place for breakfast. We appreciated the in-unit laundry. The property was beautiful, very quiet & well maintained. We enjoyed the beach, pool and pickleball. Staff were all friendly. The restaurant/bar were good. FYI The restaurants do not open until late afternoon and they do not deliver to the pool. As indicated there are additional fees. We paid a check in fee, parking and resort fee. We would stay here again.

These rooms at the Hanalei Bay Resort were unbeatable. The views are exactly what are shown in the listing - which is a breathtaking moment when stepping out to the lanai. The rooms were clean and well mentioned with comfortable beds. The hosts left us a variety of beach items, including chairs, a wagon, umbrellas, and a cooler - I can't emphasize how helpful this was to enjoying the beach just down the hill!

The views from this condo are breathtaking with the primary room having a bed that faces the bay. We could not have been more pleased with the room's cleanliness, views, and the resort amenities. Each condo had 2 boogie boards, coolers, beach chairs and snorkel gear. It made enjoying the beaches hassle free and we were so thankful to have them included with the condo and didn't have to rent them from the hotel or in town. The beach access is about .25 mile down from the top of the path, it'll get your heart rate up coming back up - but is worth it. The resort shares a private beach with Hotel 1 which has a bar on the beach called 'the Sandbox' for cocktails and lunch. A few items to note - this second floor condo is close to the front parking lot/lobby, which is great for carrying beach bags and groceries - but you do get noise from Happy Talks until they close and a bit after for cleaning up. They close at 9 - so it is not really an issue, but could be for those with sound sensitivities. The restaurants (Wiki Pizza and Happy Talks) do manage to get some crowds on the weekends especially and the valets will double park cars in the parking lot to accommodate the overflow of guests. Don't panic! The valets are incredibly nice and will move any cars quickly so that you can get in/out as needed. The pictures accurately show the kitchen, it's not top tier, but gets the job done and discourages cooking...which is great for vacations :)

This condo was perfection. The breathtaking views from the lanai alone are worth the stay. The condo’s location is in perfect proximity to the resort amenities, but also quiet and peaceful. It is well stocked with everything you’ll need for a great vacation-kitchen supplies, beach chairs, boogie boards, games, and more. The master bedroom was incredibly comfortable. The owners were amazing communicators. We loved it so much we changed our plans and stayed there longer. 10/10.

The views from the condo are out of this world. That was the best part by far. The condo itself is not nice. It smells like mildew and is super outdated. There is no smart tv in the main area and the vhs player doesn't even work. We had to watch a family movie on the master bed where there is a smart tv which isn't ideal. The condo too is a really far walk from the parking lot. You have to add on an extra 7 minutes to go anywhere which gets old, especially when it's raining. The resort amenities are nice but this particular condo wasn't my favorite.

We booked this unit for the view and were not disappointed! We could have spent all day on the lanai, but of course there was so much to do as well. The resort had nice amenities and it was easy access down to Hanalei town. The condo was comfortable for my family of 4 and it was my kids' favorite spot on this vacation!

The view was exceptional! This place was inviting, very spacious, and had everything we could have needed for beach, kitchen, laundry, toiletries, etc. The host was easily available and left a nice little welcome box of goodies that we enjoyed! The beds and furniture were comfortable with plenty of extra pillows and blankets for cool mornings on the lanai. HBR is amazing- good onsite restaurants, walk to a great beach and 1Hotel, plus golf carts that will take you anywhere. Definitely recommend and would be back!

Dirty floors (soles of feet would get brown when walking barefoot after shower), long strands of hair in the shower and bathroom, brown water bugs/small roaches(?) in the the bathroom/closet area. Would not recommend or stay here again, sadly.

I fully enjoyed the two nights I stayed in this room. The view was beautiful, better than the pictures. There was easy access to the unit from the parking lot, and the swimming pool was close. I've stayed in other nice units at HBR farther from the parking lot and it can be pretty inconvenient if you forget something in your car and have to walk back and forth. I would definitely stay here again if it's available.

I would rent directly from Hanalei Bay Resort, it is a gorgeous resort.However, this is NOT a condo. This is the master bedroom of a condo. There is a separate entry to the master bedroom, but it is a bedroom. It is a partial ocean view, the condo has a full ocean view, while the view is still beautiful, it is NOT an ocean view.The room is dirty looking, they have a canopy over the bed which had dead bugs on top, the paint is peeling in the bathroom, the lights next to the bed did not work, when you walk up to the room by the entry there are old broke down chairs sitting out there, they obviously used to be in the room at some point and the shower/bath is coming apart. There is a door inside the room which leads to the condo, and it is a regular door so there is no noise protection from whomever they rent to next door.Let me also add they we rented a condo from Hanalei Bay Resort for the rest of our party and it was clean and super nice and updated.There is a microwave and small fridge in the closet and dishes that you can wash in the bathroom which is very gross. I am not going to wash dishes in the bathroom. That's gross, especially for what I thought I was paying for...There is a broom in the closet and no dustpan, there are big lips on the patio and front door so there is nowhere to sweep all the dirt and sand.

This is our second time staying at a place in Huntley Bay resort. This unit was even better than our our last one. The view is absolutely stunning off the third floor lanai. The unit was perfectly clean and has everything you need for vacation. Don’t miss all of the beach toys, boogie boards, chairs in the entryway closet! Communication with the host was fast and efficient. Couldn’t ask for much better.

The view from this place will make you overlook many issues. The sounds of the ocean at night, birds at dawn, and the view of the waterfalls and the bay were great. The resort is nice, but hilly. Not a great pick for those with mobility issues. This is the wet side of the island, and the unit had a smell that was okay for us but a super smeller might have not been able to stay here. There was no safe available. The TV in main room had no aps on it so we couldn’t watch YouTube tv. The living room furniture were uncomfortable due to sagging pillows on the couches. The kitchen was missing some utensils and dishwasher soap. There was mold in the gasket of the washing machine. I had expected the unit to be in better shape for the price. But, again, the view was amazing.

The views were as advertised, exceptional. Many units do not face the bay or high enough to see over other units, shrubs, etc. For 2 people, this was a nice unit in an upscale area of Kauai. 2 restaurants onsite, easy access (concierge) access to the beach and flat enough to take morning walks.A few things we did not like: This unit is on the 3rd floor. Not obvious in the description so if you have issues with 3 flights of stairs, this is going to be an issue. The unit is old and dated. Functional but no microwave, no dishwasher (although there are plenty of glasses and dishware) and the only sink was in the bathroom that had NO counter space. We really had an issue with the lack of a grab bar as the only shower is inside a standard tub a big step over for seniors. As seniors, we would not rent this unit. Lastly, the lights were dim and dirty... you know, that dust and dead insects inside the globes. As for insects, none.

Hanalei bay resort is beautiful! We loved the pool, beach, snorkeling, tennis and pickle ball all available at the resort! The view from the room was beautiful! Loved having coffee on the lanai looking at the mountains and the rainbows! The room is small but fine for 2 people. Bed was very comfortable and we loved waking up to the gorgeous view. I advised the host that it could use a bit of TLC in the bathroom and on the Lanai… they have chairs and coolers for bogie boards for you to use as well!

The property and the one bedroom one bath stay was quaint and very well kept. It had great access to amenities and the beach. The only downside to staying in this property was being able to hear the neighboring tenants through the shared double door that separates one bedroom from the adjoining condo. If you are renting all three properties, it’s probably not a problem, but if you are only renting one, you are kind of at the mercy of hearing your neighbors in their living space (music, eating dinner, doing dishes). I messaged the owner, and she was prompt to address the neighbor’s music we could hear through the shared double door, but we could still hear them throughout our stay, which meant the could probably hear us as well. It’s not the best setup if privacy and quiet is very important to you. However, if you are just using the condo to watch the sunset over Hanalei Bay and go to bed after a long day of exploring Kauai, it’s a wonderful little spot. Having the restaurants on property and the lovely pool with chairs was a very nice place to relax after a long morning hike or adventure.
