We really lucked out finding Barry’s vacation rental! The resort was grand and inviting and only steps away from the ocean and across the street from a mall with supermarket. It was decked with a waterfall fountain, two generous pools and hot tub, sitting area with books, tennis/pickleball courts, bbq grills, among other conveniences. Most importantly, the condo unit had a beautiful ocean view and was generously stocked with cooking and eating utensils, as well as condiments, tea and coffee. Beach amenities were also included in the unit. I was drawn to the lanai morning and night to be surrounded by the sight and sound of the ocean waves. The bed, while high quality, was too soft for our backs. Highly recommended!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The home was absolutely beautiful, clean, well-maintained, and exactly as pictured. The location was perfect and made it hard to choose a beach day or pool day because we were 2 seconds from both. It was easy to explore the surrounding area while still feeling relaxing and peaceful. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and we truly felt at home. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

The condo was great! We were even notified the room was ready early. The beds were super comfortable. They had plenty of towels. It was great they had four beach chairs, a rolling cooler, umbrellas and a boogie board provided in the condo! The dishes were all super clean. They also provided laundry soap and dryer sheets. The only negative is the carpet in the rooms were pretty dirty. I would recommend that they replace it with the wood floors that’s in the hallway in the kitchen. Other than that, the location was perfect and the unit was great.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful vacation to Maui, and a large part of our great experience was this condo! Kelly communicated the check in clearly and we were very impressed when we arrived to a larger than expected, well supplied, and clean room! The kitchen has everything you would need to cook a meal. There is also everything you would need for a beach day, with a beautiful beach just steps away. The location is conveniently close to a grocery store and plenty of restaurants. I can’t even begin to brag about this place! There was nothing you could want for because they have everything imaginable in that place! Very good all around! If you are thinking about booking it don’t hesitate to do it now! Starting with the hosts communications-top notch very pleasant to ask anything about. Their handbook they give you has step by step informative information that anyone can understand! The views from the rooms are incredible! The patio is awesome for morning coffee and just to look at the ocean and hear the waves crashing is so relaxing and beautiful! The kitchen has everything plus more and so does the bathroom! Just nothing to do but have a blast! The pools are so gorgeous and comfortable too and right on the ocean. We loved the restaurant on the premises too! Never had one bad experience the whole time we were there. The only thing I could suggest for the Aston Kaanapali Resort is make the pool by the ocean and adult only pool. The bigger pool is definitely made more for kids and it would help for the relaxation for older adults to enjoy if it were adults only pool. But overall one the best vacations we have ever had! You really have all you want there at the resort but if you want to venture out as we did there is plenty to do just walking around across the street is plenty of options for food, groceries and there is food truck court right next door! Plenty of options right within walking distance. But make sure you book the Laua at the concierge!

Condo was as pictured. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, appliances and dishes etc for any meal you may want to cook. I particularly liked the shell shaped plates and bowls. 2 bathrooms was a plus considering we travelled with 2 adults and 3 teens. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the location- steps away from both the beach and pools. Another perk about location is that food trucks, grocery store and ABC store are all short walk from Kaanapali Shores. We enjoyed that condo provided beach chairs. Communication with host great. Would highly recommend this unit to others and if we can make it back to Maui in the future I would stay here again! The resort has a craft fair every Thursday and I noticed that our host purchased paintings for the condo from one of the vendors which I thought was really cool. Already missing the aloha vibes, sounds of ocean waves and sunshine!

Stayed here with my family of 5. 18 y/o boy and 14 y/o boy and girl. Everyone loved the facility and the condo fit us great. View is beautiful, pools exceeded expectations and all the staff were super friendly. Great walking distance to everything we needed and great proximity to activities. Only helpful piece no one reviewed is that the ocean access on the property isn’t the best for just general swimming. Lots of rocks in the sand of the water(not on beach) so bring water shoes and you’ll be fine. My boys couldn’t really get the body board going the day they tried due to the lack of good waves. Other days we saw waves that would have been better than the day we tried at our beach. 10/10 recommend and if we travel back to Maui we would definitely stay here again.

Everything about our stay was fantastic! The condo was just as described and had an amazing view! Both the pool and the beach were great and always had places to sit. Had breakfast at the beach club twice and it was delicious. Highly recommend the Kailua pork benedict and the banana macadamia nut pancakes. Sunsets every night from the beach were breathtaking. Couldn't have been happier with our stay!

We had an amazing time at this condo. It was clean and well-maintained. The two bed/two bath set up was perfect for our family of four - the kids enjoyed having their own twin beds. The on-island representative was very easy to get ahold of if we needed anything. The best part was the location to the beach and pool! We would definitely stay here again!

The location of this unit in Aston Shores Kaanapali was absolutely incredible and made the trip worth it on its own. Being right next to the beach was amazing, and the ground-floor access through the lanai was a huge highlight — being able to walk straight out to the beach without dealing with elevators or long hallways was incredibly convenient and made the stay feel even more relaxing.Another unexpected bonus was hearing the waves at night — falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was such a great experience.The only downside was parking. It was a bit of a hassle, and the parking attendants weren’t very helpful when we arrived. Thankfully, the front desk stepped in and got everything squared away for us.Overall, the beachfront location, easy beach access, and the peaceful sound of the waves made this a fantastic stay, and we’d definitely consider coming back.

Overall the property was nice and the location was very convenient for groceries and food. The beach right off the resort isn't quite as amenable for swimming as some others a little further south mainly due to a drainage canal next to the resort that results in the county warning about swimming in the ocean in the near vicinity because of potential contamination when it rains.

We have stayed at Kaanapali shores multiple times. The sunset was out of view from the patio. The key code did not work when we checked in. Then got changed randomly during the trip. We couldn’t get ahold of a property manager for almost two hours. The shower curtain had mildew on the bottom and the shower was clogged. The kitchen floor and sections of the carpet were sticky. Overall not pleased with the key code issues and cleanliness of the unit.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kaanapali Shores. The grounds were very well kept and the pools were nice. Slept our family of six comfortably. The king bed isn’t as supportive as we normally prefer, but overall we were still very happy with the accommodations.

The condo is in a good place near an elevator. Making going up and down easy. The condo has 2 spacious rooms, 2 bathrooms kitchen and living room. Overall well equipped with beach chairs and other items. Though we purchased extra items to get by the week they provided plenty items such as soap, shampoo and other basic need items. Can pack a little lighter. The property is right on the beach and two great pools. Overall recommend.

5 stars:-view from the balcony (unobstructed full ocean views from both the balcony and the bedroom window)-Updated kitchen included all needed cooking items. New/clean pots/pans, updated range, dishwasher and was very clean and felt new.-AC worked well - kept us nice & cool consistently - major plus!-Washer and dryer worked well which was so helpful!-beach chairs provided4 stars: -Bathroom could use some updates. While it was functional and clean, it could use a few small things that would really make it feel much nicer. Shower head was old and didn’t spray well & the shower curtain was too short in width so it was hard to keep water from Spraying out on one side or the other…needs to be longer to actually extend the full length of the shower. 3 stars:-one side of the slider door was broken leaving a small gap that we could not close. Wasn’t a problem except on windy days it kind of rattled and was noisy. -front door did not close all the way without shoving/yanking it closed. Not a deal breaker but there were a couple times we forgot to yank it shut so anyone could have gotten in while we were out. -bed wasn’t super comfortable and pillows were pretty flat. 2 pillows were too much but 1 wasn’t enough. Made for fitful sleep & sore necks in the morning - even my husband who is not picky with bed/pillows complained. -bedroom window was rusted shut so we couldn’t enjoy the breeze or ocean sounds from the bedroom. Overall we were happy with our stay for the price

The property is just beautiful and the staff were very friendly. The pools are a plus for this property. The beach access was convenient and great for sunsets. The location was wonderful, close to an ABC store for any personal item needs. I would highly recommend his property! The beach chairs and snorkeling equipment were also a wonderful addition!

Second time we’ve stayed there and the room was great, the property is great, the pool is great, the food at the on-site restaurant is great, and the snorkeling at the beach right off the hotel is 10 times better than the thousand dollar snorkel trip to Molakini we paid for.
