Location: excellent, almost right on the beach. Slept with a slider open listening to the waves breaking below. The facility is great: two pools, beach access, restaurant with full bar by the pools, near by shopping and food venues.Cleanliness: excellent. Check in: VRBO check in was easy but the resort's process for parking requires a QR code which was difficult to use.TV: Had an issue getting the sound to work. Took over an hour to figure it out.Documentation: some of the documentation needs to be updated. There were multiple processes for internet access. One must have been for an old internet that is no longer avaliable. I certainly will consider staying there again.

This was our fifth trip to Maui and we have stayed in the Kaanapali area each time in a variety of condos. This is by far the most comfortable place we have stayed and we were so sad that we couldn't stay longer. It is most definitely super clean, has everything you could need to get started for longer stays and sustain you for shorter stays, and is just really homey and inviting. The large couch and the bed are both super comfortable and make for a great way to start and end your day after exploring the island (same with the lanai and the ocean view and breeze if you don't need the AC which is amazing as well). Kelly is a super host and was available for anything we needed and her communication was definitely a 10/10. Check-in, check-out, parking, pool and hotel amenities and beach access were all really easy. The pictures don't fully capture the homey comfort of this condo, which you feel immediately when you arrive. I highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous condo. The resort property is older, but the pool was a beautiful place to lay out and of course the beach is only steps away! The condo itself is certainly one of the nicest at the resort. It’s been recently remodeled and is clean and modern. The views from the ocean are in each bedroom and living space. Within the resort the carpeting was being replaced in each hallway while we were there (which was needed). The condo has a closet with a cooler, beach items and even boogie boards. Plenty of closet space and storage. Beds were very comfy. I would have loved a ceiling fan in the main bedroom but we made do with the oscillating fan they provided. From the condo, you are walking distance from Times Supermarket, great coffee and a dirt lot full of food trucks which were super fun in the evenings. Also, the viral Maui cinnamon rolls are 1 block away and worth standing in line!!! We vacation in Hawaii every couple of years and Maui is one of our favorite islands. We can’t wait to come back.

We have stayed at this resort before and loved the location of this unit. You really are steps from the ocean, pool and restaurant/bar. The unit is clean and comfortable. We used the master bedroom and slept amazingly. The bed and bedding was very comfortable. We cooked breakfast each day and the kitchen had everything we needed. It is well stocked with cookware and dishes. Seasonings too. There is a closet with lots of things to use for your fun in the sun. Beach chairs, umbrella, wagon, cooler and more toys etc. The lanai was our favorite place for morning coffee and it has a view of the ocean and sunsets. The beach was really nice we swam and snorkeled, saw lots of fish and a couple of turtles. The pools heated, clean and relaxing. Perfect week! Mahalo

This property was everything we needed to accommodate our 10 day stay. The central location made exploring enjoyable. The Times market, conveniently across the street, allowed us to utilize our kitchen for fresh prepared meals. The beautiful beach and two pools were just steps away, allowing us (and our teens ) to choose when and where we would spend our day.. sometimes we’d start at the beach, head up to make lunch in our room then finish the day poolside. The amenities allowed for minimal packing to enjoy a day outside. The lanai hosted many quiet coffee mornings, and nightly family game nights.. the birds in the evening hour were amazing to listen to each night. It was a great location to relax, unwind and enjoy the last few weeks of summer together as a family before the back to school chaos takes us in every other direction.

Amazing location we would definitely stay here again! We appreciated how well stocked the unit was including the fabulous beach chairs that we used everyday! We loved the view from the balcony and the main bedroom not to mention how close the unit was to the elevator (convenient but not noisy). The A/C worked great, the kitchen had everything we needed, and we were happy to have a washer/dryer in unit. The couch was not very comfortable but given all of the other amenities this was a small price to pay! :)

The management was very easy to get ahold of and had prompt responses. Having laundry in the unit came in handy and the unit was very clean. HANDS DOWN, the BEST place to stay! The pictures are TRUE views, even better in person! We enjoyed so many things: the nightly lighting of all of the Tiki Torches, (Don't blink - The man is FAST!) the sunrise and sunset all from our porch. (Even better steps from the beach!)Arthur was a very attentive host. He responded to messages immediately, (which was comforting). We don't travel much, and he was very patient and kind with us. The place was very clean, organized, and comfortable. It is equipped with all items you will need. You are in walking distance of the grocery store (oh - they have a wagon you can tote for groceries from your car!), shopping, and food! King bed - AH-MAZING!!! Just like home! So comfortable!! By far one of the best "away" beds we have slept in. Murphy Bed- My 12-year-old son said, "BEST ever!" (He dislikes hide-a-beds". He did not want me to lift that bed up during the day, it was so comfortable for him! :) The place is equipped with so many fun items to do with the family! Boogie boards, snorkeling, beach chairs, umbrellas, and a few other racket sport items we did not use, but nice to see! Overall - you get what you pay for, and we paid LESS than what my parents did for their stay at the hotel. They were very jealous of this precious place!

We were given a great room on the 8th floor with 2 balconies facing the ocean. The ocean access was great for swimming and snorkeling. Both pools were at the perfect temperature with nice features. We actually chose the hotel for the hot tubs close to the beach and used them daily. My only complaint was the lack of maid service. In a humid and sandy environment, we needed a change of towels and a vacuum.

If you love waking up, sitting on the lanai and watching the sunset - this place is for you. The rental instructions made it possible for us to really enjoy the local areas and also get acclimated to island including excursions and other activities and things to do on our vacation.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect for exploring West Maui. Times grocery store and the food truck lot are each right across the street and it's an easy walk or short drive to tons of restaurants. We had rented snorkel gear for the week and had an excellent time visiting all the different nearby beaches and bays. Communication with the owners was truly outstanding. The unit itself was pretty dated, but we had plenty of space for two teenagers and two adults, and the AC and laundry worked perfectly. Pools were lovely and the ocean is right there - very little to no beach in front of the hotel itself, but sandy beaches are just a few steps away. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to return.

Just an absolutely wonderful place! Stunning location in every way. The condo was wonderful and had everything we needed and more. The resort (the Shores) was perfectly sized to have everything we wanted — two pools, bar/restaurant, beach, ocean rentals and towels, plenty of lounge chairs, shops, etc. but the condo was the standout…if you want a prime oceanfront location where you are looking at the turtles swim by while having coffee in the morning, or relaxing with the sunset directly in front of you while sitting on the balcony, this is it! A great addition was that the management company was friendly, helpful, and timely with all communication, too!

The overall stay was great. Renovations are well done. We had an unwelcome knock on our door stating our room was leaking downstairs and told us to not shower. The owner is in a 6 hour ahead time zone, therefore, during my honeymoon I was unable to shower for over 24 hours. Once the plumber showed he said shower we will fix it when your gone, very frustrating. The owners wife does not appear to have authority to make decisions so that was frustrating as well. The unit is very clean and comfortable minus the couch it is horrible uncomfortable. We ended up having to purchases batteries for the door lock that needs some love and we had to purchase toilet paper as only one roll was left. This is my 5th stay at AKS and this room is the most beautifully renovated and hearing the ocean all night was amazing. So overall great VRBO just think they have some kinks to workout. As a previous short term rental owner myself, I would highly recommend they have someone on the island that can make decisions on their behalf for the convenience of the renter. Would stay again.

Nice property, a little bit older but clean. We stayed at a 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen. We are able to cook. The TV in the dining room is large but the one in the master bedroom wasn’t working. Overall this location is convenient and the swimming pool is great, the beach is very close.
